Hiya,
Dark here.
I was just going to post the chapter from last week, but then I realized what chapter this is, and I thought you guys deserved it.
Lots of love, and don't forget to let us know what you think!
T frowns as he shoots up and looks around wildly, his heart slamming against his chest as he searches the darkness swallowing him.
Fuck-
Where the fuck-
Ssshhh.
He pauses at her gentle tone.
It was just another nightmare T, we're home. They're safe.
He takes a deep breath before he lets it out slowly.
Right.
He remembered that.
He sighs as he waits for his eyes to adjust, his hands rubbing his aching temples.
It had always been hard to rest-
But lately it felt like it was impossible.
Every time he closed his eyes all he saw were gruesome images.
The past.
The present.
Fuck, he prayed not the future.
There were just so many faces, each etched with more agony than the last.
Those he'd failed.
Those he'd killed.
Those he feared to lose.
It was a hellish loop that continued to torment him.
He drops his head with a sigh.
He was so fucking tired.
Weary.
The hits just didn't seem to stop coming.
In reality or his sleep.
It was like a constant onslaught.
A never ending nightmare.
All he wanted to do was rest but-
What if someone found them?
He could just picture it. The cove being invaded.
Circled by Yu's men.
Could see the looks of satisfaction.
Hear the yips of triumph.
He bares his teeth as he wraps his fingers around the hilt of his daggers.
How was he supposed to protect them if he was fucking sleeping?
How could he protect anyone if-
T, please stop.
But-
We're home T, we have guards posted in every spot you thought best. There are warning systems in place. Several contingency plans if something goes amiss. You need to rest.
I'm fucking trying.
What if I stayed present, then I could retrieve you if things go awry.
He frowns.
Promise?
On our family.
He sighs. Then do it.
Rest fitfully, dearest brother.
She closes her eyes as she takes a deep breath.
That wasn't good.
It was rare for T to be aware of his own needs.
How hard had she been pushing him over the last few days?
She bites back her sigh as she looks over their family.
They needed a break.
They all did.
Even in the dark, she could see the way they were struggling in their dreams.
Each of them, but-
She closes her eyes.
Deez.
She bites her lip.
She should have awoken by now.
Her gaze drifts to Harry's face, and she studies the invisible line where he'd nearly lost an eye.
She'd been hesitant to try anything on Deez before they left lest she make things worse but-
She should have woken up.
So why wasn't she?
Her teeth sink deeper into her lip.
She should be up.
She lets out a deep breath.
Trying to heal a wound inflicted by an imbued dark weapon seemed reckless at best, and fatal at worst.
And that was not a cost she could pay.
But-
She sighs as she stands.
Deez should be awake.
She grabs T's bag and silently slips out of the room.
Lord Hades,
I know what I ask of you will
bear you no favors,
but I must beseech you,
please come to the cove?
Deez has not yet awoken
and it seems even
Master Yensid is at a loss.
To say I am worried would
be gravely understating my concern.
He stares at the message blankly before he slams the book shut, the fire around his hand flaring brightly as he turns, staring off in the direction of the cove.
Faustina around the room before she swallows her sigh.
Even after a night's rest, everyone looked so haggard-
It was concerning.
They'd done so well in these last two weeks-
Rescued so many.
But, she closes her eyes, she wasn't sure they could continue, at least not like they had been.
The camps were on high alert with several traps set in place, everyone hoping to catch the Spider so merciless it equaled Shan Yu's infamy.
A bogeyman those quaked in fear of.
It was more than she ever would have hoped for.
For as much as she teased T, she was proud of him for his endeavors.
She never would have guessed how intimidating T could actually be with the right incentives, and she couldn't conceive a better one than Yu had presented them.
Not that she was complaining-
Pride goeth before the fall was often a quip T and her would throw at each other. And even now, after all they'd accomplished, she'd bet her skirt that he would still underestimate them.
Pride, after all, was one of the hardest sins to overcome.
But now it was Attila where most of her concern lay.
He seemed genuine in his worry for Deez-
Had even gone so far as to open cages and stave off other soldiers-
It would be a radical shift in this battle for dominance, but then again-
She couldn't be sure he wasn't just trying to lull them into some false sense of security.
Was it worth the risk?
In her opinion, Hades was-
She sighs, well, that wasn't a popular opinion either-
And both options placed Deez at the crux of involvement.
The problem was that Hades' motives were as plain as day, whereas Atilla's shifted like clouds over the moon.
Unsettling, but beautifully enticing.
No, it was Hades' whims to meet his objective that was the issue. His prior interactions with, and his treatment of, Deez that gave the others pause.
And she couldn't blame them.
She wasn't sure what had caused Hades sudden transformation, and perhaps she was being a bit naive in her empathy for the devil, but still, he was an ally they couldn't afford to lose.
How poor was her judgment that she could see that potential in Atilla?
And dare she act on it-
Or rather risk T's wrath with her request he do so?
She knew how deeply his disdain for the Yu ran-
And she'd already asked so much of him-
But…
Wouldn't it be foolish to leave a potential resource untapped?
Attila would increase their chances of survival tenfold, more so, would be able to give them insight Harriet was not yet privy to.
Might never attain privy to.
She sighs, grateful she wasn't the one responsible, before a shaft of guilt spears her, and she turns to Uma.
She wasn't sure she had ever seen the Captain spread so thin.
There were already so many burdens on her shoulders.
She closes her eyes and looks away.
Burdens she placed at her Captain's feet, knowing once presented she wouldn't be able to walk away.
Not that Uma would have ever turned her back to those in need-
But still, how much more weight had she added by contributing her own thoughts and perspectives? By the things she had pointed out, knowing Uma would do the hard thing-
She purses her lips.
And why did the right thing always have to be the most difficult?
It was counter-intuitive.
And just plain stupid.
Infuriating, really.
As if it hadn't been a struggle for most of them to survive before.
She huffs indignantly.
If the god her father believed in existed-
She could see why he'd nailed his son to a cross.
Sadistic bastard.
She'd often wondered if such a god existed, if he too would be placed on this spit of land for all the 'trials' he'd put his believers through.
She shakes her head.
Not that such pondering mattered much anymore.
Not when she had so much more to concern her thoughts with.
Like how they were going to keep everyone fed.
They'd been nothing short of fortunate Deez found them a sustainable water supply-
But-
Temperaments turned nasty upon hunger and none of them would ever recover if those they saved started turning on them or worse-
Started falling from hunger.
Ugh.
She pulls Daniel closer to her chest.
She could kick T for being so shit at reporting. She had so many things to sift through and prioritize-
But instead, she was out because her brother couldn't be trusted to relay information he'd gathered properly.
Idiot.
All the skills of a scout, none of the follow through.
She stops herself from sighing as she lets her attention focus on the surrounding conversation.
"The group we have working with nets and traps say they're gettin' less an' less every day," James slowly shakes his head, "we knew we'd over fish eventually, I just didn't think I'd be this soon."
She frowns, "there are still the predators."
"Which I have no problem dosing with Rush and hunting," Uma taps her fingers on the table, "after we settle the rest of our plans."
She takes a deep breath, "we might want to consider a breeding program as well."
She'd had the thought several times, she just hadn't the gall to bring up such a thought in front of Deez and Gil. "We'd just have to set it up away from the cove, lest people get attached to the rats. There's also Tik-Toc and his brood to consider hunting, if others haven't turned to that avenue already."
"We could also set up breeding pools for fish," Yensid adds as he digs through his bag, "I believe I even have a book on the subject."
She smiles, thank Hades for Yensid. She wasn't sure what they'd do without their sorcerer.
Literally.
"Even then, we need to make sure the pools aren't around the cove." She adds, "I believe the Isle Born loyal, but we're all survivors and hunger is a powerful driving force."
Beam nods, "yeah, I'm with Shydow on that. I don't wanna have ta start disciplinin' if we don't have ta…"
Uma sighs as she writes it down, "me either, if we can avoid it."
She frowns as she looks between the two, clearly reading their hesitancy before she sighs, "I know it isn't a task to take lightly, but it is one that should be discussed. What are our laws? What happens when someone one won't adhere to them? What consequences are you comfortable with? I know they're not pleasant questions, but they are ones you must ask yourselves."
"Fuck," Beam turns to Uma, "ya think 'bout any of that shit?"
Uma nods heavily, "it's something I had to think about before when I had 'dults mixed in with my crew, but now? Now it's not respect rules, it's survivability rules. And it counters everything the Isle taught us."
"It might be best to start thinking about both, one for the ship, one for if we do manage to win this." She prompts quietly.
"Might be best you an' I have another sit down after this." Uma eyes Beam.
Beam sighs as he nods, "sounds like."
"But if anyone else has any suggestions, I'm all ears."
She frowns, "I'd settle on a system first."
Beam turns to her with a frown, "the fuck?"
"There are different systems we could pull from, so you don't have to worry about base foundations, would you like me to list and explain the ones I currently know?"
"That!" Beam jabs his finger at her, "that, please."
Uma blinks, "so, Faustina is joining our after meeting discussion."
Oh no.
What had she just done?
"But-"
"Actually," Uma looks from her to Yensid, "I think I want both of you to help us lay this all out, what do you think?"
"I think that is a good decision, Captain, I think between the four of us we can find a fair balance that everyone is comfortable with." Yensid nods.
"Great." Uma nods as she adds it to the list.
Was it though?
She sighs.
"So we be havin' ah plan fer food an' rules, but what do we be ah doin' 'bout the rumors that be gettin' spread in camp?" Harry asks, "cause far as I can be ah rememberin' there were'nah nobody else there with us, but someone sure as hell be ah tellin' that someone were there with Senior, an' that he be gettin' Deez away from Mim."
"I have two theories on that matter," Yensid offers, "the first being that it was one of the witches scrying on Mim." He frowns, "the second that Shan Yu had Mim under watch. "
"Neither sounds good, since no matter which it is, it ended up repeated in the camps."
"Which would make sense considering who Shan Yu has accepted into his employ." She sighs.
"We did be ah havin' ah bad feelin' the witches be workin' with the Yu's since the Howler." Harry sighs.
"The caliber of the witches is my concern." She frowns, "and why would they willingly work with him when dark magic courses through this Isle like poison."
"When the barrier isn't functioning," Yensid points out as he fusses with his beard, "which may be an incentive for teaming up with the strongest villain set to lead."
"Checks." Beam rolls his eyes.
"Mim was indeed the strongest. Morganna I believe was closest to her in practice. Evil Queen was not considered very powerful, but her knowledge of potions made her a formidable witch. Unfortunately, we do not know if any of the witches who participated in the ritual to bring down the barrier are still alive. All but Mim very well could have been taken out by the backlash when enough power was not drawn for the spell to be completed."
Gothel.
Narcissa.
And most unfortunately, Ursula.
She highly doubted their luck was good enough to have wiped all three off the board.
But if that was the case, that would mean they were with Yu. And she prayed, at the very least, their luck wasn't that bad.
"Is there a way to try to scry them in return?" She asks hopefully.
"A way? Indeed." He sighs, "but a safe way is slightly more uncertain. There is no guarantee that those three do not have safeguards in place to protect from that very thing. Some of which can harm the wielder instantly. Though I am willing to-"
"No." Uma states firmly, "it isn't worth the risk."
"In that case, I feel I must add that my old home is safeguarded against scrying."
Uma taps her pen against the stone table, "we've got about-" her eyes narrow, "fifty-ish so wielders, between all of us do you think we could set something similar up for the cove and ship?"
"It would take some time to teach the theories and practices, but I've come to find with Isle Borns that they thrive best under pressure."
"Hell yeah we do," Beam slaps his palm against the table.
"See, the more and more I hear this new Spider you guys have, the more I understand why he was made the voice."
She frowns when Daniel lurches off her lap and into Harry's before she stands with a sigh, "Lord of Death, thank you for heeding my call."
"Seriously?" Uma's eyes widen as she slams her hands against the table and stands, "why is he here?"
She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath before she turns to Uma, "my apologies Captain, but if she was going to wake on her own, she would have done so by now."
"Look, to be totally fair, I was like," Senior holds up two fingers that had no apparent gap between them, "this close to coming anyway." He sighs as one hand plays with something in the air she couldn't see before his eye twitches, "I feel her lingering. Like she's somewhere between this world and my underworld. One snip away. And since I assume you would rather her stay in the land of the living and not join the river," he throws his hands wide, "here I am."
She looks away to hide her amusement, that is until she feels two presences behind her.
She glances behind her nervously, curious when she finds Beam and James on either side of her watching the god warily.
Why were they-
Her eyes widen as heat burns her cheeks.
Oh.
Well, this was unexpected.
And strange.
Senior lets out a bark of laughter. "Seriously? I mean, I AM me and all, but yeeesh. Hiding behind a girl-"
"Yeah, a scary one," Beam huffs, "with bombs."
Hades snorts silently before he nods, "sure. Fair. Not that those could do anything to me," he continues with a shrug, "but I see the appeal of believing in it."
"Huh," she tilts her head to the side. Could she figure out a weapon that could hurt the god?
She'd never considered it before. But she'd seen the way he reacted to the cursed blade, and if dark magic could affect them-
It would stand to reason that, with the help of magic of course, she could devise something that could do so as well…
Curious. Not that she had the time, energy, or desire to devote to such a task, but it was interesting.
Uma rolls her eyes, "why don't you two go-"
But the full order is lost in the sudden movement.
"On it, Cap'n!" James lurches forward.
"Right!" Beam barks just as quickly as both quickly scramble to exit.
She crosses her arms as she shakes her head at the Lord of Death's clear amusement.
When was he going to figure it out?
Harry's hand drops on her shoulder, squeezing gently before he slips into the family's cove quarters with Daniel on his hip.
Uma sighs before she faces Hades.
"Where were we before that-" Hades rolls his hand, "disruption?" He blinks, "oh. Right. We were talking about how my Daughter is lingering painfully somewhere between here and death."
Her brow quirks when she catches several small blue embers materialize around the god's hand, before her eyes widen.
Oh dear.
She hadn't taken his partially restored powers into consideration at all.
Would he be able to restrain his temper, and more importantly his flame, if this conversation got out of hand?
"Right." Uma glares at Hades before she turns to Yensid, "is she?"
Yensid takes a deep breath before he puts a hand on Uma's shoulder, "I do not know. I have done everything within my power and scope of knowledge, but a cursed blade against a demigod is new territory for me, I'm afraid."
"Hello. Remember me? Your great-great- something or other uncle that is the god of the Underworld? Ya know where everyone goes when they die? Am I not making sense here?"
She frowns as her eyes flick to Uma, who was clearly trying to manifest the god's death, before they return to the god's hand.
"Captain," she inquires softly, "I know this is difficult for you-"
She flinches when Uma shoves her finger at her, waiting for the condemnation of her actions.
"Can't she heal 'er?" Uma demands.
She can't help her sigh of relief.
Yensid frowns, the look of concentration making his lips nearly grimace before he looks down at her, "I would not know. Faustina is new to her abilities, though that has not stopped her from learning and growing her natural talent. However, since this is the first cursed object we've come across together, and the injury itself seems to stem from the curse-"
"Oh my fucking ME!" Senior drags a hand down his face, "you wanna know if you can break the curse? Why not try true love's kiss," the god rolls his eyes as his lips curl in disgust, "or something equally as disturbing and effective? At least that way, you're not risking Arachne getting hurt or taking an early swim in the river herself."
Uma's teeth squeak under the pressure of clenching her jaw.
Risking Arachne?
Asking her to try to heal Deez was putting her at risk?
"How dare you accuse me of risking my family!" She snaps as she plants her firsts against her hips, "how fucking dare you suggest that you're the only one who cares-"
"Captain," Faustina inquires softly, "if he is feeling her energy shift in such a manner, it would have been cruel for him not to come. Especially if he believes he is the only way to-" she pauses, "facilitate Deez's recovery."
Her nails bite into the palm of her hand.
No.
Just no.
A million times no.
She was only just now starting to consider the god to be less evil and more annoying, though still terrifying and powerful.
He was a prick. A jerk. Selfish.
But not a villain?
How was she supposed to be okay with this? How could she believe he had Deez's best interest at heart when for as long as she could remember the god only put her in harm's way; causing her nothing but pain in the hopes of forcing new powers from her.
But now she was supposed to believe he'd suddenly changed his mind?
"Is there any risk to our Star Gazer if I were to proceed? Or are you merely concerned about-" she pauses and glances at the god, "losing your entertainment?"
Hades glares, "what is so fucking hard to understand about someone being less than perfect with magic messing around with a combination of a Demi goddess and a cursed blade? There's more than enough risk to go around. You could kill yourself. You could turn her into a frog or kill her. You could end up killing everyone within a mile. Unknowns! You are surrounded by them. Are you really willing to take that risk? And if you are conceited enough to say yes, then why the fuck did you call me here?"
She pulls away when blue flames erupt from her uncle's fist, before her vision is obscured by Faustina's back.
"I was solely trying to ascertain the worth of the cost, if I had the inclination or the arrogance I would have already tried. I was simply asking you to elaborate, so we knew the depths of your-" she hesitates, as if unsure of how to proceed, "insight."
"My insight?" Hades grumbles as he makes air quotes, "you just wanted to see if there was a reason I wanted it to be me." He closes his eyes and inhales through clenched teeth, "What could I possibly gain that you one, don't already know about, and two, that wouldn't also benefit you?"
"A step towards us trusting you." Faustina states simply, "to garner favor in hopes of luring us into a false sense of security? Clearly you have strong-"
Senior's eye twitches. "False sense? I've literally nullified all my damn deals with you. You know that the moment I am fully free I am bound to take you all to safety. I only fucking came here today out of desperation." His fingers follow an invisible line in the air.
Towards Deez.
"Out of," Hades takes a deep breath before continuing in a voice that suggested he was in an immense amount of pain, "respect for this family my daughter has chosen to be a part of, I have not just gone in there and done the simple," he exaggerates on the word, drawing it out with a seething voice, "thing I can do to help."
"Enough!" She stamps her foot, "if you're suddenly all about the respect you have for Deez and this family," she glares at her uncle, "then you can respectfully wait a damn moment."
She isn't sure how long she stands there.
Torn.
Frustrated.
Desperate to have Deez back.
But unwilling to trust the god who had time and time again put his daughter through agony.
"Captain,"
Her cheeks heat when she startles back to reality.
"I believe the Lord of Death's intention is to truly aid in our Star Gazer's recovery-"
"Angel!" Gil's snap instantly causes Faustina to flinch, "you can't really believe-"
"But I do." Faustina interrupts with quiet confidence as she studies the god, before she pauses and clears her throat, "our Star Gazer is his best chance at freedom."
She startles at a sudden, sharp pain, only to realize she'd bitten her lip too hard.
That's what it came down to for Faustina?
She'd struggled with the girl talking to the god; had a hard time believing Faustina saw enough of anything in of value in Hades, but this?
She could understand this.
She could trust that her uncle would always act in his best interest.
And Deez, for better or worse, was his best chance of freedom.
But not if she never woke up.
She takes a deep breath. "Okay." she turns to Hades, "what simple thing can you do to help her?"
Gil shakes his head as he bends protectively over Deez.
He hated this.
Hated that Senior was here.
Hated how close he was to his Treasure.
Hated he was in their sanctuary.
In their room.
He scowls at the god, willing a hole to open under Senior's feet so they could be done with him.
Why the hell was he even here?
Hadn't he just promised to give them fucking space?
Not that he was surprised he'd gone back on it. Senior had a knack for getting what he wanted.
"Alright Loverboy-"
He glares at the god.
"Ooh. Scary." Hades rolls his eyes, "but seriously, move."
"No." He staunchly snaps.
"What is up with you-" Hades' eye twitches, "kids and not wanting your goddess to wake up?"
Faustina steps forwards and places her hand on the god's arm tentatively, "if there is a way to allow my Lion to stay with his Treasure, I'd really appreciate you letting him do so."
"Treasure? Ugh-" Hades plops down near Deez with an exaggerated gag, "you gonna move?"
His eyes narrow as he opens his mouth.
"My Lion, I would take it as a deep personal favor if you could acquiesce, I understand you don't trust him, so I ask, do you trust me?"
He scowls, "that's not fair."
"My Lion, if I believed there was any other way, I swear to you, I would have exhausted those sources, but as it stands Lord-"
His eye twitches.
"-Hades is the most probable way to wake up our Star Gazer."
His glare shifts between, ironically, the god and his Angel. "I don't want him to touch her."
Faustina's brow furrows together before she turns to the god, "would you have to touch her? I don't know how your abilities work."
"I would." Hades drags his fingers down his face, "if he stays, he can't move. Simple as that."
Faustina nods and turns to Gil, "is that a compromise you can accept?"
Gil growls, "do I have a choice."
"Of course-"
"The fuck he does," Hades snaps.
He blinks at the dark look that befalls Faustina's face before she turns towards the god.
"Or he does, whatever, jeez." Hades grumbles as he crosses his arms over his chest, "I'll just wait here until I'm told I can fix this, then."
"Thank. You." Faustina nods before she turns back to him, "you have three choices in front of you. Option A, you stay and be as still as well water. B. You step to the side with me and Uma. C. T comes out, and I assure you he won't want to be here in my outfit, so sleep will come sharp and swift."
He blinks.
Was she-
He narrows his eyes.
Yeah.
He actually had no doubt she was being serious.
And so would T, if he came out in a skirt and the god present.
Motherfucker.
"Choose Sweet Boy." Uma states firmly.
He turns to Uma in betrayal.
Really? Uma too?
He swallows his anger as he lets out a huff, "hurt her, and I'll shove one of Angel's bombs down your throat."
It may not kill him-
But he was sure it would hurt.
"Yeah yeah yeah. Heard Loverboy." Hades shakes his head, "anyway, moving on from that teen drama," he reaches out, both hands hovering over Deez before he pulls them back with a shiver.
"What?" Uma demands as she rushes up, "what was that?"
"Nothing about her," Senior sighs, "just remembering the last time I felt this cold. Stupid witches and their dumb spells." He fidgets with his hands as if attempting to scratch his palms, "this is also gonna suck."
Before he can ask why, the god pulls the blanket back and slams his shackleless hand down on her exposed skin.
"Deez!" He cries out too late as fire licks every inch of Deez before it engulfs the three of them.
His heart slams against his chest.
Familiar.
But not the same.
His Treasure's flames were always so warm and comforting.
But this-
This was terrifying, and the fire hadn't even raised the temperature around him.
Which, was fucking confusing as he was currently being bathed in an inferno of blue flames.
But-
There was something else.
Something that made his heart race-
But also something he couldn't place.
He squeezes Deez closer to his chest.
"Asked you to move, Loverboy." He watches as the god rolls his eyes, "maybe next time you just comfort Momma Squid, huh?"
He growls as he bites the inside of his cheek and does his best to stay still.
"Sweet Boy!" Uma cries before she turns to the God with anger and fear, "so much as a hair burnt and I burn that stupid book."
"You want them to burn alive?" Senior demands over the roar of flames whipping around them, "I need to focus here, and I am a little rusty."
Wait-
What?
Was-
No.
That couldn't be right-
He blinks before he finds himself mutely nodding as he readjusts his hold on Deez.
But-
He'd never heard the god's voice tight.
Commanding, yes, more times than he cared to count.
Annoyed, for sure.
But tight?
Was-
Was Senior worried about hurting him?
"Trust me kid, can't have you dying or this is going to end up being a waste of my energy."
His brow furrows.
Wait-
That didn't-
"Why?" Pops out of his mouth before he can swallow it.
Senior snickers, "don't you know?"
"Focus." Faustina hisses. "Both of you."
"Yes ma'am." Hades takes a deep breath, but then his eyes widen as Deez lets out a blood-curdling scream.
"Deez!"
Before anyone can react, Deez sits straight up and lands a wild punch on the side of the god's jaw.
"Deserved that." Hades huffs as he falls back, one hand cupping the spot Deez hit while the other continues to pour flames into her chest, "not that I felt it, but I can accept it."
"Yep." Uma agrees quickly. "Ya damn sure did."
"Deez!" He cries out happily as he crushes her to him with uncontained relief.
"Gil?" Deez struggles against him.
"Baby Girl!"
"Treasure!" He cries as he cradles her to him, instinctively as his lips claim hers.
Thank fucking go-
Thank fucking Uma.
He had been worried-
Terrified.
That she wouldn't wake up.
That he'd never see her beautiful ocean blue eyes.
Would never hear her soft laughter.
The way she stuck out her tongue when she was trying to think of the best way to write.
"Hey! Hey! Fire out first, fire out first!" Senior snaps as his fire dissipates. "I shouldn't have to remind you idiots of your mortality."
Dead.
Dead.
Dead all over the place.
One. Faustina summoned Sr only to turn into the devil's advocate.
(Did you catch where she got the foundation of her suspicions? *cough* her concerns about Atilla *cough*)
Two: Uma. Just Uma, I love her interactions with Sr, they're always so brazen.
Three. Gil's incredulousness to the concept SR was worried about hurting him.
And most importantly, Four.
Deez sucker punching her father upon her waking.
Gold folks just gold.
Which sucks cause when we wrote this chapter I thought I hated it, but I actually enjoyed Faustina's manipulation in this one- It hits close to home.
Then again, one of my alters write her, so no surprise there really…
But more important to my not-so-humble thoughts-
Do any of you have your own thoughts on this chapter?
Muck love and positive vibes your way
