Okay, so I know this is not the connections update I promised, but I am working on that one here and there. I just had this in my head and I couldn't get it out.
Again... please bear with me in this time. I am going through my final stretch in school and it is going to take a lot out of me and my time. I will continue to update here and there, but again, please understand that I am very busy and am on my final lap before I am done. I appreciate all of you very much and I love that you all love my stories. Once I am done with my school, I will be back and will be writing more often.
I hope you enjoy this little update, and I will update as soon as I can.
ENJOY!
"Bella?" I called as I opened her bedroom door.
Bella had the habit of sleeping on her belly, but with her butt is up in the air. She was that way when I found her, smooshed face and all. Last night, Ben texted me that he wasn't going to be going to practice today, but I was still able to take Bella to the dress fitting. She slightly opened her eyes and smiled when she saw me, before hiding under her covers. I walked over to her closet and grabbed her an outfit, before walking over to her bed and laying next to her.
"Oh, I wish I could cuddle with my Bella girl," I said, making her chuckle. "I wish she was here."
"I wight hew!" She yelled, making me laugh and shush her at the same time.
I figured that Ben was still asleep, and I wanted him to sleep so that he was well rested after his long day yesterday. I quickly got her changed and ready, before packing a bag for her and walking her to the kitchen to make her breakfast. She wanted to have eggs and bacon as always, and I made extra for Ben. I placed the plate in the fridge and wrote a note for him. I usually leave them on the counter, but Bella wanted to give her dad a kiss before leaving. I slowly opened the door and saw that he was still fast asleep.
He was laying on his back, his face was toward the large window looking toward the city, but what mainly caught my eye was the fact that he was shirtless. The amount of times I have had to look away whenever I saw him shirtless is countless, and it embarrassed me wherever he had caught me starring. And I almost quit my job because of how embarressed I was but Ben never let me.
Bella ran over to the side of the bed and tried to climb up, but she was too short. I walked over and helped her onto the bed, before she crawled over to him and kissed his cheek.
"Bye, daddy," she whispered.
"Bye, Bella girl," Ben said in a groggy tone, but not moving from where he was.
She looked toward me and I motioned for her to stay quiet as she claimed off the bed and quietly walked over to me. She scurried down the hallway to get her shoes while I was trying to
Close the bedroom door as quietly as I can.
"Bye, Mal," Ben said, making me freeze. "Have a good day. I'll see you later."
I turned to look at him but he was still in the same position, facing away from me. "Bye, Ben. Get some rest, and we will see you later."
I closed the door behind me and walked over to see Bella trying to put her boots on, but she couldn't pull the zipper up. I walked over and zipped them up, before hoisting Bella onto my hip, grabbing my keys, Bella's bag, and walking out the door, locking it behind me.
"Bella," Jane said as she looked down at the little girl. "We have been looking for your dress forever.
Can you please pick between these three?"
"Pink dwess." Bella said as she looked up at Jane and smiled.
Evie and I watched the interaction, and laughed at the two arguing. Evie was going to let Bella pick out any dress she wanted, but was going to order it in the colors of her wedding party. When it came to planning events, Evie was the first person I would go to for help.
"How long are we going to let them go on for?" I asked as I leaned my head on Evie's shoulder. "Because this could go on for hours."
"Let's give it 10 more minutes," Evie said with a laugh. "You know if anyone can tire Bella out who isn't you or Ben, it's Jane." We watched as Bella ran up and down the dress aisles with Jane following behind her. "So, how is Ben?"
Evie knew about my little crush on Ben, and boy did she tease me about it every chance she could get, and now I knew she was going to ask me about yesterday's game because it was televised.
"He is doing just fine, E. He is at his apartment resting." I started to remember what Ben looked like when I left this morning. His hair was ruffled, but in a hot attractive way. His tanned skin was muscular, toned, and smooth. "His parents are coming over and Belle already told me I am staying for dinner," I said with a small laugh.
"Ben's parents adore you," she said with a smile. "I am sure they love having you around Bella more than her own mother."
"Seems everyone feels that way, even Bella," I said, shaking my head. "I am just waiting for the day that Jessica doesn't come back any more."
It was very bad to say, but Jessica felt that being a part of Bella's life was an inconvenience for her. She was only there because the courts told her that she had to have supervised visits, but in reality, everyone knew she wanted Ben to get full custody. And Bella never wanted to stay with her mom over the night, which Jessica didn't mind in the slightest.
"Oh," Evie said, making me turn to her. "I thought it might be easier to have you give these than me having to mail them." she turned to rummage through her purse before she pulled out three separate invitations.
She handed them to me before I saw that they were addressed to Ben, his parents, and Chad and Audrey. It surprised me at first, but Evie liked Ben's parents, and Chad and Audrey. Audrey and Evie had so much in common it was always fun when the three of us would go to lunch with the kids.
"I will give these to Ben, Belle, and Adam tonight," I said with a smile and placed the invitations in my lap.
"But on a similar, not so similar, topic," she said, making me turn my entire body toward her to give her my full attention. "What is going on between you and Ben?"
I shook my head and laughed. "Nothing, E. Absolutely nothing at all."
"Oh my god!" she exclaimed. "When are you two going to just stop playing hard to get?"
"E, we're not playing hard to get, " I said. "He is my boss."
"Yeah, your boss that has the hots for you." she said coyly. "Don't act like yesterday didn't happen."
"What exactly do you think happened yesterday?" l asked, crossing my arms across my chest.
"Don't play coy with me, Mallory I saw what he did when they introduced his family."
"Bella was sitting on my lap." I said defending myself. "I was bound to end upon the screen."
"And the matching jersey?"
I had no comment about that, and to be honest, it confused me too. Ben had never given me a jersey with his name on the back before , and typically these would only go to the players wives, kids, or parents. I was only his nanny.
"Mal, when are you just going to admit to him that you like him?"
"Well, E. I kind of need to keep my job."
"Mallory Drakes! Ben likes you! Please, get that through your thick little head."
"He doesn't," I said. "He is my boss. That is it. Period."
"Talk bout daddy?"
Bella's voice made me turn to look at her. She was standing behind me with Jane behind, and Jane's eyes were bugging out of her head.
"No, baby," I said trying to cover what I was saying. "Evie was just telling me something about a boy we know."
"Otay," she said, before she walked over to me and claimed onto my lap. "do hab a boyfwend?"
The question took me off guard. Bella knew l didn't have a boyfriend and I didn't know why she was asking.
"No, Bella," I said as I pulled her close.
"Good," she said, taking me by surprise.
"What?" I asked with a laugh. "Why good?"
"Daddy's gifwiend," she said as she smiled and kicked her legs back and forth.
Oh boy, was Evie going to get a kick out of this. I turned to look back at my best friend, and she was smiling so wide I thought her face was going to break in half. I was about to ask her what she meant by that, but the bride to be beat me to the punch.
"Bella?" Evie called as she knelt down in front of me. "Why do you want Mally to be your daddy's girlfriend?"
"I wove Mawwy!" She said as she hugged my head.
Bella was the best little girl in the entire world. She was one of the best things to come into my life, and I don't even know what I am going to do when she starts school.
"I love Mally too," Evie said as and rubbed Bella's back. "She is the best."
Evie got up and was about to sit back down but Bella shocked us all with what she said next.
"Daddy say best too."
Jane, Evie, and I shared a look, before Jane and Evie crouched down in front of Bella.
"What else does he say about Mally, baby?"
My gosh, ladies. Let's not bombard the 3 year old.
Bella's cheeks turned red, and I could tell she was getting a little nervous. "um… daddy say mawwy pwitty. She smawt. tat woves hew."
Evie turned red in the face from excitement, and I was red in the face from shock. I was not expecting to hear all of this today. Evie and Jane looked up at me, trying to contain their scream, but I shook my head because they would have startled Bella.
"Who did he tell this to?" Jane asked as she took Bella into her lap.
"Okay, guys…"
"Me mom."
My eyes shot open in shock. What they fuck?
"What happened?" I asked in concern.
Ben never fought with Jessica in front of Bella. Let alone wanted to communicate in front of her. Sure, he knew Jessica wasn't a good mom, but he wanted Bella to find that out of her own so she was able to make her own decisions when she is older. He didn't want his views of Jessica to sway Bella's.
"I twobble," she said as she looked up at me with her big eyes. "I no…"
"Were your daddy and mom fighting?" I asked.
Bella nodded her head, before she got up and lifted her arms for me to pick her up. Belle was always a sensitive soul. She hated getting in trouble. She hated when people fought around her. And she hated when people were mad at her.
"Do you want to tell Mally what happened?" I asked. "I promise you will not get into any trouble."
"Pwomise?"
"I promise."
As much as a 3 year old could explain, and how much we could understand what she was saying, Bella told us that she woke up from her nap to hear her daddy yelling. She walked out into the living room and saw that he was pacing back and forth, making her hide behind the couch. She said that she heard her daddy yelling at her mom, telling her that if she wanted to see Bella she needed to come around and actually spend time with her. She said she could hear what her mom was saying so the girls and I assumed that Ben had Jessica on speaker. She said she heard her mom say that she didn't want me around anymore, but Ben told her no. She told us that Ben said that Bella loved me and he did to and that I wasn't going to be going anywhere. That was why Bella wanted me to be her dad's boyfriend.
"Bella," I said making her look up at me. "Your daddy and I... We are very good friends. I care about him so much but he does not love me like a girlfriend."
"But..."
"Why do you think your daddy likes Mal? " Jane asked.
I kind of wanted this to stop. I knew Ben didn't like me in that way. We were friends and them asking Bella all of these questions is not okay. She is 5 years old for gods sake. Don't get me wrong, Bella was very smart for her age, and understood more than the average 3 year old should, but she was still a little girl, and this was too much for her.
"Okay, guys. No more," I said as I stood up. "She is a 3 year old little girl."
"Bella, does your daddy have pictures of Mally around the house?"
I have been everywhere in that house. The only place that there was a picture of me was in Bella's room. I even remember when it was taken. Bella and I were putting up Ben's Christmas tree, and neither of us noticed that he had walked into the room and snapped a picture of us. Bella was on my hip trying to reach up to touch the lights; but her little arms wouldn't let her. Bella loved pictures, so Belle had it framed and put it on Bella's nightstand next to her bed. But that was the only picture.
I came out of my thoughts, and looked back down at Bella to see her nodding her head. "Bella has a picture of me and her in her room. Isn't that right, Bella?" She nodded her head, smiling as she always did. "See Evie."
"Daddy room," Bella said, making me snap my head in her direction. "Pictue."
"Your daddy has a picture of Mally in his room?" Jane asked excitedly.
Bella nodded her head before she yawned and curled into me. It was almost 3 in the afternoon and it was past Bella's nap time. Though I knew she didn't get her usual nap today, I knew she was going to fall asleep on our way home. I pulled her close so that she was laying her head on my shoulder, as I got up to grab her bag.
"Mal," Evie said as she walked after me. "Did you hear that?"
"I think she is confused, E," I said as I turned to face her. "I…"
"Mal, the man literally blew you a kiss at yesterday's game, he has a picture of you in his room, he gave you a jersey with his last name on it, come on Mal! You are so much smarter than this! The man loved you!"
I shushed her because Bella had completely fallen asleep. The poor baby had such a long day, she needed a nap before dinner.
"Evie, I am sure that Bella is only confused," I said.
"She is going to be in denial until Ben professes his love to her."
I couldn't help but laugh at the comment. I was going to tell them about the comment he had made last night, but that would only lead to them gushing even more. But, if I was honest with myself, I was still confused about last night. My stomach fluttered when we were talking last night, and my heart sank to my stomach when he said he was trying to impress someone and then winked at me. We have always been playful with one another, but this seemed different. A difference that I really didn't want to get my hopes up about.
"I am not in denial about anything," I said as we walked up to the front desk. "I am just being professional."
"Okay, we will drop it," Evie said with a small chuckle. "But you can best believe that everyone will be gloating when you two are finally together."
"Yeah yeah."
On the drive back to Ben's Bella was out like a light. She could nap for ages if she could, and sometimes it was a nightmare to get her up. I just pulled into my spot, next to Ben's car and turned to look at the sleepy little girl in my back seat. I quickly got out of the car and walked over to my back seat to get her out. She laid her head on my shoulder and I walked toward the elevator and up to Ben's floor. I unlocked the door, and closed it behind me, before walking in to see Ben in the kitchen seasoning meat. He looked up and smiled as I placed Bella's bag on the couch.
"Hey," he said in a hushed tone. "How was dress shopping?"
The sight of Mal holding Bella always made my heart skip a beat. Mal made my heart skip a beat. The way she interacted with Bella, the way she would sing when she was cleaning or cooking, the way she got along with my parents, everything about her. She has been a godsend, not only to Bella, but to me as well. When I first met Mal, I didn't know what to think. Jessica and I were only together up until Bella was two months old. My parents helped me with her as much as they could, but they could only do so much. Then when I finally grew the balls to look for someone to help me with Bella, Mal came out of nowhere and changed our lives for the better.
"It was fine." she said, breaking me out of my thoughts. "Jane and Bella were going at it today and not Evie and Bella."
I shook my head and laughed. "I bet Bella had a blast. Did you guys find your dresses?"
Mal nodded her head, before she gestured that she was going to take Bella to her room. I nodded my head in response, and watched as she walked down the hallway and disappeared into Bella's room. I finished seasoning the meat for dinner, and was going to go and change but stopped when I heard a very familiar tune.
"The sweetest sounds I'll ever hear are still inside my head," Mal sang. "The kindest words I'll ever know are waiting to be said." The tune was so captivating and I would even catch myself singing it to myself. "The most entrancing sight of all, is yet for me to see! And the dearest love in all the world, is waiting somewhere for me, is waiting somewhere, somewhere for me…" I peeked through the crack in the door and saw Mal brushing Bella's hair out of her face with her fingers. Bella was curled into Mal's side with her arm trying to hold Mal close. "And the dearest love in all the world is waiting somewhere for me. Is waiting somewhere, somewhere for me."
Mal slowly maneuvered her way off the bed, trying not to wake up Bella. She kissed Bella on her head, before smiling down at her. "Have a good nap, my sweet girl. Mally loves you so much."
I quickly walked to my room, before Mal could see me. I changed into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, and walked back into the living room to see Mal chopping up vegetables in the kitchen.
"What are you chopping up in here?"
She looked up at me and smiled, making her nose scrunch. Man, did she look cute when she did that.
"I am just cutting up some zucchini, mushrooms, onions and bell peppers," she said. "I thought that this would go nicely with what I saw you put in the refrigerator."
"Oh yeah," I said as I leaned on the counter. "I thought to get a head start before my dad gets here and tries to kill us with the amount of salt he uses."
She laughed, making the butterflies in my stomach go crazy.
"Oh," she said as she dropped the knife on the counter and washed her hands. "I should give these to you, before I forget."
She rushed over to her purse and pulled out 3 burgundy envelopes.
"They are yours, your parents, and Chad and Audrey's invitations to Evie and Doug's wedding," she said as she passed me one of them. "She asked me if you could have the RSVP sent over as soon as you are able to, if that's okay."
"That's fine," I told her as I opened it. "I can fill it out now, and I know you are going to be going out with her tomorrow, so can I just give it to you to give her?"
She gave me a nod, and went back to what she was doing. The invitations were very elegant. They were very… Evie. There was an option for a plus one, but the person I wanted to go with was already going to be there. I took one of the pens that was in the small little junk drawer I had in the kitchen and wrote that I would be attending, alone and leaving the plus one slip on the counter, before putting the envelope in her purse. I walked back over where she was and saw her starting to clean the counter off.
"Here, let me help you," I said as I started to help clear the dirty dishes into the sink.
Mal started to clean off the counter and called my name, making me turn to look at her.
"You're not taking a plus one?" She asked as she held up the small little paper between her fingers.
"I have no one to take," I said with a shrug.
That wasn't necessarily true. Many women tried to ask me out, but I never wanted to. I only had eyes for one girl... Well two if you count Bella.
"Oh," she said as she put the piece of paper back down on the counter. "I thought you said, yesterday, you had someone to impress," she told me with a laugh.
I was surprised she didn't understand I was talking about her. I was kind of obvious as of late, and I was hoping she would catch on, but I guess not.
"Oh, I do," I said as I started to clean the dishes. "I just think she is playing hard to get."
"How do you think she is playing hard to get?"
She walked up next to me and started to dry the dishes I was cleaning.
"I don't think she knows that I like her," I said.
"Why don't you tell her?"
That was an obvious question, but it wasn't an easy one to answer.
"Because I am afraid to see her reaction." I admitted.
"How long have you known her?"
"A while."
"Well, like we were talking about last night, if you like her, you have to tell her." She had a point. If I wanted her to know, I would have to tell her. I was going to just tell her, but she spoke before I could get a word in. "Would you feel comfortable practicing on me and pretend like you were going to ask me out?"
That took me off guard, and now I am embarrassed. It intrigued me, don't get me wrong, but I did not know what was going to happen if I did this.
"Come on," she said as he placed her towel on the counter before hopping to sit on top of it to face me. "Flirt with me Benjamin Anderson."
I couldn't help but burst out in laughter. She was not going to let this go now. I needed to prepare myself. l pressed my hands against the countertop, bracing myself for what was going to come after this. I pushed myself away from the counter and stuffed my hands in my pockets and looked at her as she kicked her legs back and forth.
Ben walked toward me and stood right in between my legs, making my breath hitch. Oh my…
"Mallory," he said as he placed both hands on the counter that was on either side of my hips, and I instantly started getting hot. "We have known each other for a while now, and I am not sure if it is just me or if I am going crazy, but I think I am falling in love with you."
Oh. My. God. I knew I was red in the face now.
"You are someone who has come into my life and completely turned it upside down," he said, making me look into his hazel green eyes. "You love my daughter, unconditionally, and that was something that I never thought I would ever find."
Wow, this was...wow.
"You are much more to me than you know," he said, not breaking our gaze. "You have been the light that shined bright when I was stuck in the dark. I know that I am your boss, technically, and I am taking the biggest leap right and I don't even know how or what you think of me. But what have I got to lose?"
I could not speak... My god...
"So, what do you say? Would you be willing to give me a shot?"
I sat there not knowing what to say, what to think, and even what to do. This was something I kind of wished was real. This lucky bitch.
The doorbell rang, making Ben and I break our gaze. He pushed himself away from the counter, letting me hop down.
"That's your parents," I said as I tried to look anywhere else but at him. "You go let them in and I will go and wake Bella, she won't sleep tonight if we let her sleep any longer."
When I finally looked up at him, he was giving me a knowing smirk. Yes, Ben. I know that I am as red as a tomato. I shook my head and shoved him.
"Go." I told him with a laugh. "Don't make them wait long."
He walked away, still smirking as I walked toward Bella's room to wake her up. I was just about to walk down the hallway when I heard a giggle coming from behind me. I turned around and walked into the living room to see Bella hiding behind the couch cushion, under a blanket with her feet coming out of the blanket.
"Bella girl," I said as I walked up to the couch. "Baby, what are you doing?"
She jumped up and yelled.
"Boo! "
I pretended to be scared, just as Belle and Adam walked into the living room.
"Nana! Papa!"
I picked Bella up and threw her up in the air, making her giggle.
"Hi, Belle. Hi, Adam." I said as I gave Bella to Belle. "How have you been?"
"Stressed as always," Adam said as he gave me a hug. "But that's everyday. How have you been? Did you and Evie find Bella a dress for the wedding?"
"We did," I said with a laugh. "Bella was fighting with Jane most of the time because Bella wanted a pink dress."
"Bella? Did you give Jane a hard time?" Belle asked as she held her granddaughter close.
Bella shook her head, making us all laugh.
"Alright?" Ben said as he started to walk back toward the kitchen. "Dad? Do you want to help get the grill ready? Mal and I can bring everything out because I already seasoned everything."
"Except the vegetables," I said. "I haven't seasoned those yet."
"I can…"
"No, it's okay, dad," Ben said. "Mal and I can do that while you get the grill started."
Ben gestured for me to take the lead to the kitchen and I heard Belle and Adam walk outside with Bella. My cheeks started to heat up, remembering what had happened not just 10 minutes ago. I walked over to the refrigerator, pulled out the meat Ben prepared and the vegetables I had chopped up.
"So, what did you think?" Ben asked as I turned around with both plated in my hand.
"I thought it was very good," I said as he took one of the plates from me. "I think that you should tell her."
I started to season the vegetables as Ben started to gather the plates we were going to need.
"I think that whoever she is, she is a very lucky girl, because you are an amazing guy that anyone would be lucky to have."
"You think so?" he asked.
"I do," I said with a firm nod. "Now what is holding you back?"
"Um..." he said as he started to walk around the counter with the plates and meat in his hands. "I guess… now I am just waiting for you to tell me if you feel the same way."
I almost dropped the plate I was holding. What did he just say? I looked at him in shock as he winked at me again and walked out to the patio. What the fuck did he just say?
I was basically in a daze for the rest of the evening. Keeping a conversation was difficult but I think I managed just fine. No thanks to Ben. I mean, who leaves people on a cliffhanger like that? Ben had been drinking with his father in the living room, and while Belle put Bella to sleep, I decided to clean up the pile of dishes that were in the sink.
"Do you need any help, Mal?" I heard Belle ask.
"Would you just mind helping me put all of these dishes away?"
"I do not mind at all," she told me with a big smile.
Belle was a saint. She was the kindest woman I had ever met. Once we were done putting all of the dishes away, we walked into the living room to see Ben and Adam basically passed out on the couch. This was not a normal for Ben, nor Adam, but there would be the occasion where Ben would let a little loose.
"Do you need any help with Ben, before I drag Adam home?" She asked with a laugh.
"Nah," I told her. "Go ahead and take him home," I said as I pointed at Adam. "I will help Ben to bed."
Belle nodded, and I ended up helping her take Adam to her car. "Thank you, Mal. I will see you this weekend for Evie's bridal shower."
"Yes, I will come pick up Bella and then we will go and pick you up around 11."
"Sounds like a plan. And you have our invitation to give her tomorrow? "
I gave her a nod and she smiled brightly at me before getting in the car.
Once they left, I walked back into the apartment and saw Ben was still in the same state. He had only had 3 beers, but when Adam brought out Ben's favorite hard liquor, Belle and I knew they were going to be out of it in the next 3 drinks. I picked up his phone that was on the ground and a picture of Bella popped up. It was from her second birthday and her face was smothered in cake. I remembered how much fun she had that day, but trying to get that cake out of her hair was no joke. I looked at the time and saw that it was 5 until 10 at night. I looked back at my boss and I couldn't help but laugh. I put his phone in my basic pocket, before shaking his shoulder.
"Ben?" I called. "Come on, Ben. I will help you to your room."
He groggily groaned and tried to get up, but couldn't because of how tired he was. I pulled his arm to help and he hoisted himself up, making me brace myself incase he was going to fall. He put a majority of his weight on me, and I wrapped his arm around my shoulder, before heading to his bedroom. I hardly ever went into Ben's bedroom, because honestly… why would I need to?
His room was very clean. Dark curtains covering the giant window that was facing the bay, a huge Alaskan king bed against the wall, and giant 85 inch flat screen across from it with a long table under it. The table was full of pictures and I thought it was a very cute thing to have. I helped Ben to his bed and he flopped down onto it and groaned.
"Ben." I called as I shook his leg. "Ben, you have to get up and change."
"No," he told me, before he turned on to his stomach.
Well, now I knew he was not going to be getting up. I pulled his phone out of my back pocket and placed it on the nightstand, right as it lit up. A picture of Bella and I when we were sleeping was staring at me right in the face. I knew this was bad of me, but I really wanted to see if there were anymore.
"Ben?"
There was no answer. I felt wrong right now, and I did not want to invade his privacy. I held his phone in my hand and started to pace back and forth , but stopped when I saw a picture of me sitting on the table below his TV. It wasn't just of me, but it was another picture of Bella and I. I looked at the other pictures and saw that there wasn't only that one. I was not in every picture, but there were a couple there. I looked at the phone in my hand and slid my thumb across the screen to see the picture change, but this time it was a picture of me only. I put Bella's birthday into the keypad and went to Ben's home and lock screen and saw that he had the picture set up to change every time the screen would light up.
He was actually talking about me. I was the girl he wanted to impress. Of course, I wanted to be, but I didn't think I was. I didn't want to think about what he told me before, because... I don't know why. He liked me... He told me he was falling in love with me. This is a lot right now. I genuinely thought that he only liked me as a friend, I never thought he felt the same way I did. I turned to look at him and the sight of him made my stomach flutter. I put his phone back down on his night stand and gently moved, before giving Ben a light kiss on his head. When I turned to walk out of the room, I felt someone grab my wrist. Everything moved quickly, and before I knew it, I was laying on my back and Ben was kissing me. He was hovering over me and his hand was holding my face. It was dark in the room and the only light coming through was shining on the table of pictures. When he pulled away, he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me close so that I was laying in his chest. He kissed the top of my head, before speaking.
"Good night, Mal."
I didn't know what to say at this moment. This was something completely different and… something that I was kind of excited about. I looked up at him, but could only see the online of his head. From the way he was holding me, I knew he was not going to let me leave, so I guess I was going to have to make myself comfortable.
"Good night, Ben."
Did you guys like the little joke I made in there about my said and cliffhangers?
Until Next Time My Lovies! xoxo GM
