Rules and the Coming day.
I hope everyone is enjoying the story so far. The competition begins after this chapter so that way I can plan the order and such. But for now, I hope you all enjoy and one more thing. All rights and everything belong to the creator: Hiro Mashima.
"Listen up, my children. I have a few ground rules for this competition," Makarov announced to everyone. This got everyone's' attention. "The first rule is that everyone only gets one shot. No do overs. The second rule is NO DESTROYING THE LACRAMA! THIS GOES FOR YOU TOO NATSU!"
"Come on Gramps. Why single me out? Everyone else has broken something." "Need I remind you of the list of bills I had to reimburse you troublemaker?" This caused Natsu to sweat panned and refrain from speaking. "Good and I have decided to bring back something we haven't done in such a long time," the Master said with glee which caused everyone to either be confused or scared.
"Whoever comes in last place, MUST DO A PUNISHMENT GAME I THOUGHT OF ALL THESE YEARS! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" This caused everyone to be frighten because they know their Master does not hold back. "But until then, EAT, DRINK, AND MAKE MERRY!" The guild cheered and resume their routine as they drink, eat, and even fight even more.
"YEAH, NOW I'M ALL FIRED UP!" "I'M WITH YOU BUDDY!" The dynamic duo yelled across as their team either sigh or laugh at their antics. "I'm in as well," Lucy chimed in. "If I win, I can defiantly score a house!" "But you'll be competing against Erza, Laxus, and Gajeel," spoke Carla. This made Lucy sad but chimed back up quickly for once. "I've come a long way since I first joined and now ready to see the results." Everyone smiled at her resolve.
"Well, no time like the present, I'm off to train guys. Later." Natsu waved while leaving with Happy. Everyone from the group then followed suit to prepare for what's to come. The guild then became a little empty with pretty much everyone off to either train or heading for a job. The only ones left are the Master, his son, and the Mirajane.
"So tell me something Geezer. Are you gonna join in?" "Nah, after the war, I rather enjoy a nice drink and watch you kids grow." Laxus does a small chuckle while Mirajane smiles. "Plus, I rather enjoy watching whoever loses endures what I have in store for them. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA." This made Laxus nervous because he knows his grandfather doesn't hold back. "Oh Master, I wanted to say something about that." Mirajane chimed in. "If it's anything inappropriate," then she transforms into her 'She Devil' form, "I won't tolerate it." The Master then got paled and just nodded not wanting to invoke her wrath.
*Natsus' House*
Natsu is charging his flames in his hands as he prepares to strike at the boulder in front of him. Then, with a single jump and puts his hands together, he falls onto the boulder. "FIRE DRAGON KING! DESTRUCTION BLOW!" with that strike, he destroys the rock leaving nothing in its trace. "Whew. Hey Happy, is there another one?" "Over here Natsu, I found 2 more!" Happy flying out of the way as Natsu jumps with another fist engulfed in flames. "FIRE DRAGON KING! DESTRUCTION FIST!" As he lands the punches, the boulders vaporize to nothing less. "Alright. Let's call a break Happy!" "AYE SIR!" The 2 returned to the house and as they do, Happy tosses Natsu a fish while he munches on one as well.
"I'm getting fired up here buddy. Finally, get to show everyone I'm the strongest there is." "You got this buddy. By the way, what's your wish when you win?" Natsu hums as he thinks about that. He never considered what he wanted except. "Maybe the tastiest fire in the entire world!" Happy has a deadpan face before saying, "Yep. I figure that's what you were going to say." "Nah little buddy, maybe it'll come to me as I win the whole sha-bang." "You know I'll be rooting for you buddy." "Thanks lil buddy." The 2 laugh as they continue to enjoy their snack before resuming training.
Natsu wasn't the only one who got down to train right away. Almost everyone from the guild was preparing for the contest. Lucy went to the Celestial World to train with her spirits (While also being cautious on the time change in the world.), Gray training on the lake with Juvia (As she also admires him and doesn't let anyone go near him with a deadly look.), Erza and Wendy practicing in the woods, Laxus at the top of the Mountain conquering the Lightning while the Thunder Legion fight each other at the base, Gajeel practicing with PantherLily as Levy watches, Elfman chunking boulders across the fields, even Max, Vijeteer, and Nab were training. All preparing for that fateful day.
*One Week Later at the Fairy Tail Guild*
Cheers and celebrations spread over the Guild as everyone is getting pumped and psyched for the main event. Natsu, Lucy, Happy and the gang as well as everyone from the Thunder legion, to the Strauss siblings, former teams and more gather around in the Halls to passage to the Lacrama. In front of the Lacrama, is Makarov with a microphone in front of him.
"Hello my children. I like to welcome you all to today's contest featuring our precious gift from our wonderful friends in the Kingdom. Today, we shall find out once and for all, who is the strongest wizard in Fairy Tail!" Everyone exploded in cheers and such. "Yes, yes settle down everyone. Let me explain how all of this will work." And with that, all eyes and ears were on him.
"One by one, someone will volunteer to come up and unleash their magic power onto the Lacrama. As seen from the Grand Magic Games years ago, once been hit, the Lacrama will show a number to display what your strength is at. Pretty self-explanatory. Everyone will have a chance to come and see where they're at in the results. This can also be viewed as a ranking in the guild to see how you stack up with some of our strongest members."
With that, many wizards had fire in their eyes, including a specific fire wizard who's already bringing the heat. "I'M ALL FIRED GRAMPS! LET'S START ALREADY!" "SETTLE DOWN NATSU OR YOU'LL GO LAST!" With that, he peeped while Gray made a chuckle, which lead to a face full of Natsus' foot as they get ready for a throw down before a look from Erza said otherwise.
Makarov coughed before continuing. "We will have a scoreboard showing every wizard in the guild and next to them is a spot to place their rank. As we continue with the results, the board will magically rank everyone based on their results. In the end, the one on top will have their name in gold as they will be crowned the winner. And there will be a rank at the very bottom in red color who will be in last place and must endure the Punishment Game I have in store for them. HEHEHEHEHEHE!" With that, everyone roar again in cheers as they get ready. "Oh, one last thing, this lacrama can withstand stronger attacks then what it went through from the Games. So, my children, show me your full strength and don't hold anything back. BECAUSE WE ARE THE MEMBERS OF THE PROUD FAIRY TAIL GUILD!" As Makarov yelled that out, he raised his hand with the Fairy Tail sign as all the members raised their hand to honor and cheer for it.
"And now my children, let the new battle of Fairy Tail begin!" Fireworks sparked, cheers rose, and everyone has their eye on the prize and others are aiming for the top. The question remaining is: WHO WILL WIN?!
"Now my children, who would like to go first?"
As Natsu was about speak, he was interrupted by someone else.
"I'M GOIN FIRST!"
Whew. I apologize it took a bit. Lots of stuff going on but finally got it done and can now work on the chapters I'm excited about the most. Now the question is: Who spoke out?
