Chapter 1629
A Deal Was A Deal
The two Grays were deep inside the compromised bunker system. One of them was a little more enthusiastic about what they could find. The other one was more realistic as to what they would find. It would probably be their death. He was more than ready to leave at any time, the sooner the better in his opinion.
They found an empty elevator shaft without a cable in it. The indication was the cable broke and the elevator impacted into the lowest floor, the basement. A lower level indicated there were more things to search for.
"We're not done here yet." The first man said. "There must be a stairway around here somewhere."
The second man was in no hurry to find a stairway. It sounded like even more danger to him.
"I think since the elevator is at the bottom of the shaft, the stairway is probably not in much better condition." The second man said. "I think we've seen enough here. We should probably go back and make a report."
The first man wasn't dissuaded. He was sure they were on to something. He discovered the opening for the stairway a little further down the passageway.
"There's only one way we're going to find out what's actually here." The first man said. "Let's take a look."
The second man continued to mark the path they were on. He didn't see how they were going to be able to get out of the severely damaged complex if they lost their light. He wondered if maybe they could make some type of a torch to light the way. With all the cracks in the walls maybe it wasn't such a good idea. There could be some type of gas emitted from the ground. Now he began to wonder if they were the canaries in the mine, even if they weren't birds. It seemed like a bird brain idea to him.
"Even if this goes anywhere, we need to make sure we have light to get out." The second man said. "We don't want to run out of battery power."
The first man shined the light down the stairway.
"Let's see where it goes." The first man said.
The second man shook his head in disgust. He was sure it was the path to nowhere. He paused for a moment before he started down. He looked in the darkness behind him. He didn't see anything. He took out his phone and shined it behind them to make sure no one was following them. He hadn't seen any light so he didn't think so. He hoped there wasn't a Terminator following them. They wouldn't need a light. He knew they could see in the dark. He turned his light off and followed his associate. He was sure it was a bad idea.
The two men started down the stairway.
CamNet's Terminator was a little surprised when the Grays found the elevator. Right now it was the elevator to nowhere. He moved a little closer to the men as he continued to monitor their conversation. He was even a little more surprised when they found a stairway. The complex was actually bigger than they originally thought.
He continued to close up the distance in the darkness. The men seemed to be concerned about what was in front of them, along with the condition of the elevator shaft, as well as the stairwell.
He moved up quickly when they entered the stairwell. He saw the second man look back in the darkness. He quickly paused. He moved to a prone position on the floor. A light shined back towards him from the stairwell. It disappeared a few seconds later.
He reached the elevator shaft and looked in both directions. It appeared the elevator shaft went down, not up. The lack of an elevator car, or a cable, indicated exactly what the men thought. The cable snapped and the elevator fell. He wondered if anyone was in it at the time. He would continue to follow the men and see what they found.
CamNet's Terminator advanced towards the location of the stairs.
Young Allison gave Savannah a soft kiss and started on her way down.
"My turn…." Young Allison whispered.
The girls shared in the company of each other for some time. It was something they both wanted to do. It was long overdue. They tried to make up for lost time.
Young Allison was sure it was the best day of her life. Everything was just like she imagined it would be, but only better. There was no reason they all made her wait so long to share her love. If anyone didn't like it, it was their hang up, not hers.
Savannah wondered why she waited so long for this day to happen. Earlier she was with Cameron. Now she was with Young Allison. She thought it was time to take care of business so she could increase the pleasure for Young Allison. It was something all of the girls would need to take care of before Judgment Day.
"I can 'take care of things' for you now." Savannah whispered. "I'm going to head for another area of pleasure. I want to make sure you're OK with everything first. It's going to hurt a little. It's just for a few seconds."
Young Allison was glad Savannah asked before she took action. She wanted to 'save' herself for someone special. She wanted her first encounter with a male to be special for both of them.
"Don't." Young Allison quickly whispered. "I want to leave things how they are for now."
Savannah thought she could take away what would be a threat to Young Allison in the future after J-Day. She did it for Young Jesse. Young Jesse did it for her. Young Allison told her she wanted to remain intact. She quickly understood why. Young Allison must want to save herself for John. It was her original plan as well. Things changed.
The two girls continue to share. Savannah showed Young Allison what she liked. She already knew what would please Young Allison since she was with Allison, Duplicate Allison, and Future Allison. Even though they were the same individual from different timelines, there were some things they preferred more than others. She knew it was the same way with Vanna, Duplicate Vanna, Future Savannah, and her as well. The response wasn't identical either. Young Allison was no exception. She would still require quite a bit of learning. She was more than willing to teach her.
The girls expressed their love and commitment to each other multiple times.
Savannah didn't want to overdo it. She also needed to think about Cameron and Anna. She wasn't sure what else was going to happen or what Cameron's plans would be. She would like it to be a 'three way', or even a 'four way' if Anna was included.
Young Allison wondered about the others as well. Her first experience was with a human female. It was her true love, Savannah. There were two Terminators close by who both wanted to be with her, as she did with them. She wanted Savannah's advice.
"I love you more than anything." Young Allison whispered. "I want to be with Anna and Cameron too. I don't know if this is an appropriate time or not. I'm not sure when I'll have an opportunity like this again. You know what I mean."
It was something Savannah expected to hear. Young Allison already told her she wanted to do everything she did over the years. It meant Young Allison wanted to be with all of the females. She was a little surprised Cameron hadn't said the same thing.
Savannah looked into Young Allison's eyes and shared another deep loving kiss. She would like to have a little control over the situation. There was no way she could deny Young Allison the same pleasures she experienced. Vanna and Allison shared freely. Young Allison and her would do so as well. It was time to see what else was going to happen.
"Today is the day." Savannah whispered. "I'll be back."
Savannah got up and headed for the bridge. She grabbed a robe as an afterthought.
Cameron and Anna were a little surprised to see Savannah appear on the bridge. They both became a little concerned.
"Is everything all right?" Cameron asked.
Savannah assured them it was. She also told them of Young Allison's personal wishes since they were all there and alone. It wouldn't always be the case if they were at the Resistance base. Everyone seemed to know what everyone else did. She informed them of Young Allison's desire not to 'take things too far'. She was very surprised at what happened next.
Anna and Cameron both looked very anxious. It was clear they were both ready for the next step.
Cameron looked at Savannah and then at Anna. She took a step back and indicated for Anna to proceed.
Anna made a deal with Cameron previously if she would be allowed to be Young Allison's first Metal girl. A deal was a deal. Everything came with a price. She was willing to pay it. She looked at Cameron and nodded.
Savannah was still surprised Cameron didn't take the first position. It was very unlike her. She was sure there was a little more at play which she didn't know about. Nobody seemed to complain.

Young Allison glanced over at Cameron as they neared the area known as Keene. She was surprised a little earlier before they saw the long train about what type of structure was marked as a Post Office. It looked like someone's house. She figured in a very rural area, there might not even be delivery to the scattered homes and ranches around the area. People might need to visit the small Post Office to collect their mail.
In modern times another structure was constructed near the junction with the 58 Freeway. It was on the south side of the road. The old Cafe was across the road on the north side when it was constructed. It almost appeared to be two mobile trailers with a peaked roof installed on top of them.
Cameron began to feel some apprehension as she drove. A traumatic event occurred in the location she was about to approach. It was when Bob, Holly, and her barely avoided an HK drone attack. It wasn't an HK drone proper. It was one which was larger and could carry a pilot, or a passenger. It also could be controlled, or operate autonomously as a true drone. They always referred to the one they captured as a manned drone, even when it operated without a pilot.
Young Allison was aware of the incident. She reached over and touched Cameron's shoulder.
"It's over and done, even if it won't happen for several decades yet." Young Allison said. "The team won. You were part of the team. Take the win and move on."
Cameron was pleased to hear what Young Allison said. She knew Young Allison was correct. Life moved forward, not backwards.
"I'm fine." Cameron said.
Young Allison cringed a little. Normally Cameron was anything but fine, when she said she was 'fine'. She wanted to focus Cameron's attention.
"I know we won't be able to see Tunnel 7 or Tunnel 8 unless we hike in on foot." Young Allison said.
Cameron blinked her eyes several times and glanced over at Young Allison.
"Rowan is a very remote place." Cameron said. "Most of the area is cattle ranches. We can hike downhill from Cable sometime. It's just west of Tehachapi. It was where I boarded the container train on the day of the drone incident. I got onto the top of it from the eastern portal of Tunnel 17. We could always hop a train to come back up once we reached the flatlands. It would probably be at Sandcut."
Young Allison swallowed hard. She knew it would take them through twelve tunnels to do so. Maybe she could take solace in the fact four of them were daylighted and one of them bypassed from the original seventeen.
In a few minutes Keene was behind them. They soon neared the turn off for Bealeville and Caliente.
Young Allison didn't think there was enough light left for them to visit those locations. They were both excellent train watching spots in modern times.
"We're burning daylight." Young Allison said. "If we're going to hit Bakersfield, we can bypass the multiple horseshoe curves for now. If Bakersfield is our destination, let's just stick with Route 466."
Cameron understood Young Allison wouldn't be able to see much in the way of detail once the darkness came. She was glad they were able to see the long freight earlier. They were in a location where they would be able to briefly view the southward facing portal of Tunnel 5.
"Get ready to look down on the tracks." Cameron said.
Young Allison was able to see down to where the tracks were. There was a gap between two of the hills. They were at quite an elevation above them. She was pleased at what she spotted.
"There's a train moving downhill." Young Allison said. "I can only see the freight cars. There are no locomotives or a caboose visible. I can't identify which railroad the train belongs to."
As quickly as she could see down to the rail activity, it was gone. Another hill blocked the location from view.
Cameron continued past the turnoff for Bealeville Road. They continued along Route 466. They would bypass approximately seven miles of track. Only a mile of it was accessible by roads. There were a lot of curves. There were several horseshoe curves too. It was all laid out to gain elevation and keep the grade at 2.2 percent.
Young Allison noted the name of the road was Bena Road now.
After approximately ten minutes, Cameron glanced over at Young Allison.
"You should be able to see the track about a quarter of a mile away." Cameron said. "You should be able to make out the location of Ilmon. It's just on the far side of Haypress Canyon."
Young Allison knew exactly where they were.
"We should see the location of those two low bridges in just a few seconds." Young Allison said. "I can see a short tunnel there. It must be Tunnel ½. I find the numbering a little odd but understandable. It was done without having to renumber all of the other tunnels."
Cameron was aware of what occurred at milepost 332.5
"There was some severe flooding in 1884." Cameron said. "Southern Pacific needed to move the track further away from the riverbed. A new tunnel was created and simply referred to as Tunnel ½. It will be there approximately two more decades until it's daylighted in 1983 after even more severe flooding. There was some realignment and double tracking. It existed for ninety nine years."
Bena Road closely followed the railroad tracks now. It would be the same way until they reached Bakersfield and the two rail yards located there. In Bakersfield, Route 99 would parallel the Southern Pacific railroad tracks most of the way to Sacramento.
The railroad tracks remained at a higher elevation as the road dipped down into a small valley. When they reached the location of Sandcut, the road climbed out of the small valley and rejoined the railroad tracks. After they came out behind a small hill, there were orange orchards on the south side of the road. There was farmland on the north side. It would be the same way along much of the route the Southern Pacific railroad tracks traversed through the San Joaquin Valley. There would be a multitude of crops grown. Cotton, and even rice, was grown in The Big Valley.
Cameron noted all the agriculture around them now. She really wondered who the imbeciles were who decided to run billions of gallons of freshwater out into the ocean was somehow a better idea than using the water for irrigation to grow more crops. She really wondered if Skynet wasn't behind some of the illogical decisions. Humans needed to eat. The ocean didn't need any more water. There would be plenty of water for the ocean as the earth warmed back up to its original temperature before it was artificially cooled through the numerous Ice Ages.
Bena Road changed its name to Edison Highway. It was still Route 466.
Young Allison and Cameron passed through the small agricultural community of Edison and continued on to Bakersfield. The landscape around them didn't change much in any way. There were always crops of some sort being grown along the side of the road as well as the railroad tracks. It would be housing in more modern times which would start to encroach on the farmland located closest to the cities. With the billions of gallons of fresh water run out into the ocean, there was plenty of farmland which reverted back to its desolate semi-arid look.
A Deal Was A Deal
Not every agreement or arrangement
Will work out to be ideal
It can benefit one more than the other
It may be quite an ordeal
The way events play out
May seem quite surreal
Once they are complete
Neither one can alter or repeal
Some won't always listen
To another's heartfelt appeal
They both know what will happen
When there's a gift to steal
A choice will be made
Over what they really feel
Not everything that happens to them
Will be just or real
Love is about sacrifice
They won't be the one to squeal
Everyone needs to remember
A deal was a deal
Nobody
