The Yeager Family-which had included Grisha Yeager, Dina Yeager and Adult Eren Yeager had approached the Reiss Family within the blue crystal catacombs surrounded by pillars. Grisha had stood in front of Adult Eren and Dina. Dina stood on Grisha's left and Adult Eren had stood on Grisha's right.
The entire legitimate Reiss Family members were all present and were all dressed in white from neck-to-toe. They stared at the Reiss Family.
Dina Yeager-Grisha's first wife had worn a long-sleeved buttoned white shirt, a long red skirt that traveled down to her ankles. And a pair of black slippers.
"Who are you people?" Fried Reiss asked.
"Please, listen! We are Eldians that know the truth of the world! We came from beyond the walls. We are subjects of Ymir-just like all of you! Please, King of the Walls... Help us protect Paradis from the world's rage, before it's too late!" Grisha had begged as he had extended his right arm out toward her.
After hearing Grisha's plea... Frieda had begun to make a decision. She then closed her eyes, and the look of frustration on her face was slowly turning into a calm face. As soon as she had opened her eyes, she was calm. Her eyes showed a shining purple color.
Adult Eren Yeager could see by the look of her face, that the will of Karl Fritz, the "Vow of Pacifism" had taken over her mind.
Dina, who stood behind Grisha had saw the color change within Frieda's eyes. She silently gasped. 'Is that-'
"We cannot escape our sins. The time will come for Subjects of Ymir to face judgement in the near future." Frieda answered boldly, denying Grisha's request.
Grisha had gasped.
"Man is far too weak to possess such power. The tragedy of the Great Titan War had opened my eyes... that someone must keep the Power of Titans out of human hands. If the power were to fall into the hands of the weak, the world would be driven into hell, once more. In order to protect the world, we must accept our sins and perish. That is our only choice." Frieda had told the Yeager Family.
"Poor girl..." Dina had taken pity on Frieda.
Flashback
Within the Yeager Residence... Adult Eren Yeager, Grisha and Dina had continued sitting at the family table.
"You're saying that the King of the Walls, herself is being manipulated?" Dina had asked Adult Eren.
"That's exactly right. For a long time, when a member of the royal family possess the Founder... are instantly trapped within a mental prison. Whenever they attempt to make a major decision on their own, King Karl Fritz attacks their mind and make them continue to follow the Vow of Pacifism." Adult Eren had stated.
"I understand..." Dina said.
"And also... the royal that possess the Founder has the power to manipulate his or her fellow subjects of Ymir. Whether they're from Paradis or Marley."
Dina had gasped.
"Right now, the King of the Walls doesn't know about what happened here in Shiganshina. So, this is the best time to confront the King, before it's too late." Adult Eren said.
End Flashback
Grisha gritted his teeth in frustration as he did not like Frieda's speech. "So, you're saying that we should just wait for Marley or any other country to just knock down our door? The people of Paradis have no clue of what has happened beyond the walls, because you stole all their memories. They'll die from the world's rage, manpower and heavy artillery. Can you really call that atonement?" Grisha asked.
Frieda calmly sighed. "No. No matter how much we repent, we could never atone for the lives we had taken."
Eren remained silent.
Frieda lightly placed a hand on her chest. "But what we can do is to never take another life outside Paradis, ever again. So as long as we can remain ignorant... we Eldians will be the only ones who will have to die."
Eren's green eyes lightly glared towards her.
"I'm sorry. But, there's nothing you can say to dissuade me from this course. And even if did you take the Founding Titan from me... you cannot harness its full po-." Frieda had stated.
"I know." Grisha said.
"Eh?" Frieda gasped.
"I wouldn't be able to make use of the Founding Titan's power." Grisha said, then looked to his wife, Dina. "But, my wife could, because-like all of you... she possesses royal blood."
The entire Reiss Family had gasped in shock as they looked to Dina.
"A-A royal from beyond the walls?" Rod had gained a shocking look on his face.
"Yes." Grisha had then looked to Adult Eren, whom had walked next to him. "And also... my son, Eren. He's not a member of the royal bloodline. But just like you, Frieda... he, too possess the Power of the Founder." Grisha had stated.
The whole Reiss Family were in put more shock after listening to Grisha. They glued their eyes onto Adult Eren.
"H-He possesses the Founder, as well?" Able asked in shock.
"How is that even possible?" Urklin asked.
"There should only be one possessor of the Founder, right?" Dirk asked.
"This can't be true!" Rod's Wife screamed.
"I speak the truth. My son has traveled here to a different point in time in order to save Paradis from the world's destruction. Despite you being manipulated by the king, I kind of hoped that you would at least try to resist the vow. Now that I know that cannot escape from the Vow... we have no choice, but to set you free, personally." Grisha had then pulled out a knife from his pant pocket.
Frieda gasped when she had seen the knife that Grisha had pulled from his pocket and suddenly watched Grisha raise his knife into the air. She knew what this meant as she asssumed that Grisha was planning to transform into a Titan. She had then quickly turned to her family. "Run!" Frieda screamed.
The Reiss Famiy had listened to Frieda and had begun running the opposite way for their lives.
Frieda Reiss had then turned back to the Yeager Family and had raised her right hand to her mouth.
As Grisha had raised the knife in the air, he quickly looked to his first wife, Dina. "Do it, now! Dina!" Grisha yelled.
Without a second's hesitation... Dina had quickly nodded and moved her body close to Eren's and place her right hand on Adult Eren's left shoulder. As she had made contact with Adult Eren... sparks of electricity begun to zap within Frieda's mind.
"Uungh!" Frieda Reiss suddenly fallen onto her knees and grasped both sides of her head with both of her hands. She was suffering from a major headache. "Aargh!" She had groaned out loud.
Members of the Reiss Family stopped running and turned back to Frieda to see her suffering from a headache. They all looked to her in shock. They were yards away from where Frieda was.
"Frieda!" Rod Reiss had screamed in shock. He then growled at Grisha, who just stared at him. Both fathers had made eye contact with each other. Grisha had then begun to charge at at them like a mad man. "Stop hurting my daughter!" Followed behind Rod was his oldest son, Urklin Reiss. Whom was in concern for his older sister.
Adult Eren Yeager had saw Rod charging toward them. He had flashed his eyes for a split second, then had conjured large spiky white pillars shooting from the ground and striking the ceiling. Adult Eren had used the power of the Warhammer Titan to surround the Reiss Family-excluding Frieda. They were trapped like animals in a cage. The pillars were like a space-less picket fence.
"F-Frieda! Frieda!" Rod had yelled as he saw the spiky Warhammer Titan pillars blocking his way.
The Reiss Family had stared at the Warhammer Titan pillars in absolute shock.
Adut Eren Yeager had stood there as Dina placed her hand on his shoulder. He stared at Frieda, whom was groaning in intense pain and suffering a major headache.
Flashback
Earlier, that day. Within the Yeager Residence... Adult Eren Yeager, Grisha and Dina had continued sitting at the family table.
"I came up with a plan to save the King of the Walls without killing her." Adult Eren had informed Grisha and Dina.
"What is it, Eren?" Dina had asked.
"As you know, the King of the Walls will most likely refuse to work with us, due to being manipulated. So, I had came up with a strategy to free her." Eren had looked to Grisha. "First, dad. You will try to reason with her with words. And if she refuses, you draw out a knife and pretend you're about to transform. And while Frieda is distracted," Eren had then turned to Dina. "You will place your hand on me-which will activate the Coordinate. It should be enough to free her from the Vow."
Dina had slowly nodded.
End Flashback
"Uurrgh... please... stop...!" Frieda had continued to groan in pain while on her knees. But it was Karl Fritz who made her say those words.
"Please, Frieda! You have to fight it!" Dina had cried.
"You can do this, Frieda! Believe in yourself!" Grisha had cried.
"I-I can't... it's... too strong!" Frieda had leaned her head forward as she still clutched her head with her hands.
"Don't give up! If you do, it's all over! Fight!" Adult Eren had yelled.
"I... I don't think I-"
"Yes, you can, Frieda!" Eren had replied. "Remember what you told your family? Before you became a Titan, you said that you "Weren't going to let the ghosts of the pasts haunt you!" Adult Eren had quoted Frieda's words. "This is your chance to fight it!"
"That's right! And you shouldn't let the "Ghosts" continue to haunt you, now!" Grisha had yelled.
"You're a person who has every right to live your own life-just like everyone else!" Dina had cried.
"Fight it, Frieda! Fight! Fight for your own freedom! Fight for everyone that live within the walls! Fight..." Eren had hesitated for a moment as he thought of what he was about to say. "FIGHT FOR YOUR LITTLE SISTER, HISTORIA!" Adult Eren had roared.
Frieda Reiss, whom was suffering a major headache and nearly leaning forward on the ground had suddenly shot her eyes wide open.
Brief Flashback
During one evening, as the sun had begun to set... Frieda Reiss had visited a young and optimistic Historia Reiss at her family's farm. Frieda and Historia were sitting behind a large stack of hay. She had begun reading her stories about Ymir Fritz. But only the fairy tale version.
"Someday, I want to be just like you, Frieda." Historia had smiled to Frieda.
Brief Flashback
After a moment of flashbacks... Frieda Reiss had suddenly stopped resisting as he body had fallen onto the ground. She had landed onto her left side and did not respond.
Both Grisha and Dina had gasped as they saw Frieda collapse right in front of them.
Adult Eren had remained silent as he stared at Frieda's unconscious body. The Yeager Family had continue to stare and stare for at least half a minute, until...
Frieda Reiss had slowly begun to rise as she had planted her hands onto the ground. Then, she had begun to use her knees to help stand up.
Grisha had gasped as he stared at Frieda Reiss as she had slowly risen to her feet. She had stood, but hid her head as her head hung downward. She had slowly lifted her head and faced the Yeager Family.
'D... did it work?' Dina had thought to herself out of concern.
'Is Frieda... free? Or is she still...' Grisha had thought to herself.
Adult Eren, whom had a look of concern... had suddenly formed a smile on his face.
A tear had suddenly streamed down her right cheek. But it was a tear of relief. "Thank you... thank you all." Frieda had sniffled as another tear of relief had streamed down her left cheek. Her eyes were no longer shining a purple light. Her eyes were the original color of sky blue.
"Welcome back, Frieda." Adult Eren had smiled.
Dina Yeager, whom had stood had slowly approached Frieda Reiss and wrapped her arms around her. "It's okay. You are safe, now." She hugged Frieda as if Frieda was her own flesh and blood.
Both Grisha and Adult Eren had smiled as they watched Dina embraced Frieda.
'It really worked.' Grisha smiled.
'She's free, now.' Adult Eren had thought.
Meanwhile...
On the other side of the Warhammer Titan pillars that Adult Eren had conjured within the crystal catacombs... members of the Reiss Family were screaming for Frieda. Rod Reiss, Urklyn Reiss and Dirk Reiss were banging on the large Warhammer Titan pillars with their fists. Hoping they would somehow get through.
"FRIEDA! FRIEDA!" Rod had screamed as he kept banging on one of the Warhammer Titan pillars.
