Chapter 9

New Suit and New Hero

(part 1)

John got home and removed the torn up replica suit placing it in his closet before he went to bed. He had trouble sleeping due to the pain in his body due to his fight with Scorpion which caused him at some point in the night going down the stairs to get painkillers. He was trying to be quite but his body was a bit to weak from the battle to be completely silent. He eventually made his way down to the kitchen an opened the medicine cabinet to grab the painkillers. He quickly grabbed an took two pills before he put the medicine back and walked up the stairs back to is room.

Once he went back to his bed and crawled into it to try and go back to sleep. It took a few minutes but once the pain pills kicked in he quickly went to bed sleeping peaceful. He was able to continue sleeping peacefully in his bed until his alarm went off the next day. He reached out to shut it off before he went to take a quick shower. Once that was done he got dressed and went back to his room to pack his backpack including the replica suit.

Once that was done he walked downstairs to the kitchen to see his sister making breakfast. Emma was having fun making pancakes wearing an apron over the top of her red dress. She seemed to be smiling in happiness at something. John didn't have any clue why she seemed to be so excited but he didn't want to bother here. After all he was to busy thinking about the conversation he had with Spider-Woman about continuing with the hero thing. He needed to think of a way to improve his suit.

" John how are you doing today?" Emma said turning to look at her brother who was just coming down the stairs an walking towards the kitchen.

" I am fine though I do have something I am puzzling over that someone told me yesterday," John told his sister before he sat at the counter.

" What is it this is puzzling you?" Emma asked with a smile before she took a plate an placed it onto the counter in front of him.

" Well a friend of mine is helping me with a project in which I am filling in for another person and she told me to do it the way I would instead of the way he did it but I don't know how that will help," John told Emma before he started to slowly eat his pancakes.

" Well you know how dad is a genius at mechanics which is why he runs a large tech company," Emma said with a smile.

" Yeah what does that have to day with anything?" John asked her still being confused.

" And do you remember when he was having a power generator issue with a prototype for that satellite contract that him an Stark were competing for an you suggested using a different compound then the one one that they were using," Emma told him with a bright smile on her face.

" Yeah what they were using had to high of a resistance which was causing the circuits to fry but it was solved by replacing the carbon-copper wiring with carbon-gold wiring along with changing the silicon isotope to increase computing power for less energy usage."

" That's the point you and dad are both genius's but he is a mechanics genius and you are a chemistry whiz so use what you know to improve on what you don't," Emma told him which made John smile before he said thank you running out of the house and to his lab. He had something that needed upgrading an he had some ideas on how to do that. He was running through the stret heading to the old subway lab.

" Hey A.D.A.M wake up I need your help with something," John said with a smile

" What could be so important that you would rush here first thing in the morning?" .M asked with a confused look as his hologram popped up. John instead of answering pulled out the damaged replica suit from his backpack. " Oh I see you got into a bit of a difficult spot."

John just nodded and placed the suit down on the counter before looking at the replica. He then just sighed and stood up going over to the computer and typed in a search pulling up holograms of all of Spider-Man's known suits which he looked at along with the a.i.

" What is the plan now sir?" A.D.A.M asked looking at all the holograms. John didn't answer reaching to the display an taking two of the costumes which were the Superior Spider-Man version 2 suit and the Beyond suit he then he pulled the two together and looked at all the designs that came up from the merger of the two costumes. He then selected the one he liked.

" Do you have any records of anyone replicating Spider-Mans powers?" John asked as he begin making tweaks to the costume's design deciding to use Kevlar fibers that had the molecules knotted into a trefoil knotted pattern. He then looked to the web shooters and the web fluid.

" The most prolific case of someone impersonating Spider-Man, other then yourself of course, is a criminal called the Chameleon though I have no records of him imitating the powers of the hero," A.D.A.M said before he flipped to another news article. " I believe the better subject of investigation to be the Regent a supervillian who wore an armored suit that could mimic the powers of various superheroes an villains."

" Can you look into how that suit functioned?" John asked the a.i. as he continued to tinker with the formula's composition.

" Of course sir I will have a report compiled an emailed to you before your school day is over as well as a list of suggested upgrades to the new suit," the a.i said with a smile before his hologram flicked out. John then left the lab an exited the subway system heading over school.
