Hello!! This story takes place when everyone thinks Yuji is dead and he's staying in that basement area with Gojo.
No, I dont own Jujutsu Kaisen or its characters.
"Huuhhmmmm..." Itadori moaned quietly to himself, waking up on the couch he'd been recently sleeping on. As soon as his mind was fully awake and aware, he felt something off. He himself felt off. He glanced at the digital clock on the table beside the couch to see that it was five in the morning. Looking at the faint light of the clock's numbers made his head pound in pain. He tried sitting all the way up, which took a little bit since it made him feel dangerously nauseous and dizzy.
He looked over at his sensei, who was in a half reclined chair sound asleep. He wasn't sure if he should wake him or not. Half of him felt guilty and embarrassed. He's not a kid. It's just a headache. He'll be fine. So he slowly lied back down and brought the covers practically over his mouth.
Every minute felt like hours. He tossed and turned, kicked on and off the covers, but no matter how desperately tired he was, his burning, pounding headache kept him from sleep's grasp. He began panting, feeling burning hot and freezing cold at the same time. On top of that, he felt like his stomach was slowly nearing eruption.
" G-... Gojo... Sensei..." He didn't know what else to do, feeling horrible in more than one way. His body and head felt wretched, but his heart felt bad and embarrassed. I'm 15... I'm not a kid... I'm literally waking someone up cause I have a headache... He didn't want or mean to, but tears were starting to spill out of his eyes as his mind was circling on how stupid this was. His head seemed to make it much worse; just adding more unwanted pain.
"Hhrm..?" His sensei started to stir, cracking opening his crystalline eyes. "-yaawwnn- You say somethi-?" He looked over at his panting, sweating, and practically crying student. A moment of sudden shock shot through him. "You alright, kid?" He sat up and walked over to him. This reminded the man of talking care of one of his other students, Fushiguro, when he was just a kid. Occasionally, like any human being, the spiky black-haired child would get a cold, but there were a couple of times he came down with a fever, leaving Gojo to take care of him. The white-haired sensei placed a hand on Itadori's forehead, realizing it was burning hot. He went to go get a damp washcloth from the tiny bathroom in this basement. In the dark, Itadori couldn't exactly tell what this sensei was doing, but suddenly, he felt a cool sensation over his blazing forehead and partially over his eyes.He then felt something tap his lips."Here, open your mouth." His sensei lightly instructed him, then putting in a thermomer.
The feverish student heard the object beep after a moment as his sensei pulled it out. He slightly looked up and, without words, asked, "Is it okay?" The white-haired man looked down at him. "You'll be okay, kid. Today just might be rough for you. Tryta get some rest, 'k?"
With that, the cool relief over his head, and feeling more tired than before, Itadori drifted off.
When he woke up again, he noticed his sensei was gone. He realized the sorcerer probably had a mission or something today, leaving him alone in the basement area. He felt a distant sense of loneliness, but he tried to focus on something else, although it was difficult to with his pounding, burning head. Besides trying to ignore that, he was in a way bored. No one was there, he didn't feel like pouring cursed energy into a stuffed animal to watch a movie, and he definitely wasn't hungry. It seemed the more he thought the more the pain and burning increased.
He suddenly heard a door opening behind him, and shortly after saw his sensei walk over beside the couch.
"Oh, you're awake" Gojo noted, planning to leave and come back while his student was still sleeping.
"I thought you had a mission...or something..." Itadori looked up at him.
"Yeah... I did, but I canceled it"
"Huh?"
"Yeeahhh that old principle won't be that happy about that... but I couldn't let my little student burn away all alone" He held up the grocery bag he was carrying and took a bottle out. "Take these" He opened it and poured a coulpe pills out.
Itadori blushed a bit, realizing his sensei went to go get him medicine. Luckily the blush was covered by his already flushed cheeks. He sat up, took the medicine, and realized he hadn't really sat all the way up today.
"You hungry?" His sensei asked, which Itadori shook his head to since his stomach already was very unhappy.
So, finding nothing else to do, they put in one of the many movies that were in there. Gojo said he'd "make an exception" to Itadori's training so he didn't have to het constantly punched by the stuffed animal.
About 15 minutes into the movie, Gojo reached into the same grocery bag, pulling out something he'd also bought.
Itadori looked over. "Hey.. whats that?" He stared at the assortment of sweets.
"You said you weren't hungry" His sensei said in a teasing way, then smiling and handing him a cupcake.
Itadori, although wanting to scarf it all down, didn't want to upset his stomah more, so he slowly licked the frosting, the sweet sensation in his mouth disracting him from his pounding head.
By the end of the movie Itadori was fast asleep, just being able to finish his cupcake before sleep washed over.
After taking a few pictures, of Itadori leaned up on the couch sleeping with a cupcake wrapper in his hand, to show the first years after he revealed Itadori was alive, Gojo plopped on the recliner chair, finally having a day off from missions. When he awoke, his student was wide awake, stuffed animal in hand, watching another movie.
Itadori noticed his sensei moved a bit, but since he was blindfolded, he genuinely couldn't tell if he was awake or not. He had the movie on low volume as to not wake him, and wasn't sure if he could turn it up. (He hated reading subtitles). He eventually got re-sucked into the movie, assuming his sensei was asleep since he didn't move anymore.
"I see you're feelin' better" Gojo suddenly said.
Itadori, not expecting that, stopped his flow of cursed energy, causing the stuffed bear to smack him "Gojo sensei!!! What was that for?!?"
His sensei laughed a bit and Itadori eventually did too.
Both having a free day off, they watched movies and ate sweets all day
