I think I may have forgotten something important here. Shouldn't I have chosen my class by now, there was most likely more important things to be concerned about like, getting to Riverwood, talking to Alvor and other things but still.

[Mage] LVL 0/100 (0/7900)

The magic of well basics, a mismatch of all mage classes, you can pick a more specific one when you max this class

Grants 5 INT per Level - (0)

Grants 5 WIS per Level - (0)

Useful, since it's the mage class, any use of magic skill should up the level. Hadvar was already up ahead, I started walking to catch up to him, he didn't seem to be in the mood to talk, I wasn't either, I had things to think of, there is a camp somewhere along here that I want to check out, but I'm not sure where it is. The mines are also something for XP farming. "See that ruin up there? Bleak Falls Barrow. When I was a boy, that place always used to give me nightmares. Draugr creeping down the mountain to climb through my window at night, that kind of thing. I admit, I still don't much like the look of it." Forgot he didn't like that, well after talking to the Riverwood trader owner, I'll most likely have to head there, maybe I can make friends with Faendal or maybe steal Camilla from him and the other guy, something with a S.

We came upon the three standing stones, I knew my decisions. "These are the Guardian Stones, three of the thirteen ancient standing stones that dot Skyrim's landscape. Go ahead, see for yourself." Walking up to the Mage stone, I wait for the pop-up.

Would you like to take the blessing of the Mage Stone?

Y/N

Yes please, the stone started glowing before sending a beam of "magic" into the air.

The Mage Stone

The blessing of the mage stone lets you learn all Magic skills faster.

Passive boosts

Magic XP Boost - 25%

Useful in the long run and the short run, there were thirteen cross all the holds and I'm pretty sure collecting them is an achievement in Skyrim and getting the blessing of one is as well.

Fine. Hint detected.

"The mage stone, can't say I'm surprised, though it might benefit you to take one of the other stones" maybe I could come back for the warrior stone later. "I'd rather reap the benefits of the mage stone early on, it currently my main line of defence" "Fair enough" so Hadvar understands. We continue walking after this we were done with this for now "Listen, as far as I'm concerned you've already earned your pardon. But until we get that confirmed by General Tullius, just stay clear of other Imperial soldiers and avoid any complications, all right" that was advice that might be hard to follow, for now "I'll do my best to avoid unnecessary confrontations" as we kept walking towards Riverwood, I kept an eye out for the wolf encounter, with my advanced level, I might just end up fighting a frost troll instead, or I'll get lucky and encounter no one, who knew that was possible. I'll ignore the wolf corpse lying on the field for now. Who knows what killed it.

"Come on. I'll feel better once we're under cover in Riverwood." We're just a few meters away from it, why do we need to hurry up, look there's the gate. "I'm glad you decided to come with me. We're almost to Riverwood" Riverwood looks mostly the same as it does in the game, scratch that exactly, no creativity.

You really don't want creativity, trust me.

I'll heed that warning. There's Alvor working the forge, I am taking him up on that training, after Bleak Falls of course. "Things look quiet enough here. Come on. There's my uncle." Let's just follow him further, supposedly I have no clue where to go, well, I am a nord, so maybe I know this place, where's my back story?. "Uncle Alvor! Hello!" Alvor turn to Hadvar when he heard his voice "Hadvar? What are you doing here? Are you on leave from..." he paused as he looked Hadvar up and down, yeah we weren't the prettiest looking at the moment, Helgen was hell on us "Shor's bones, what happened to you, boy? Are you in some kind of trouble?" I'd say the answer to those questions is a resounding maybe. "Shh... Uncle, please. Keep your voice down. I'm fine. But we should go inside to talk." Don't want to panic the general populace, but the old lady saw the dragon, but people also thinks she's crazy so "What's going on? And who's this?" Hi, I'm Kin. I should've said that old loud. "He's a friend. Saved my life in fact. Come on, I'll explain everything, but we need to go inside." Do we, "Come on inside. Sigrid will get you something to eat and you can tell us what happened." The two of them head inside, let's just follow, I don't think I can ignore this and head to the general shop so long, I'll check on the inn to when this is over. "Sigrid! We have company!" I barely heard that as I walked into the house. "Hadvar! We've been so worried about you! Come, you two must be hungry. Sit down and I'll get you something to eat." She looked at me after greeting Hadvar, "Oh, who's your friend" I guess that's my queue to introduce myself "I'm Kin, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time" that seems like a perfect description of what is currently going on in my life.

You were right where we wanted you to be

"That's one way to put it" "Now, then, boy. What's the big mystery? What are you doing here, looking like you lost an argument with a cave bear?" well, I guess they're just gonna ignore that, so okay "I don't know where to start. You know I was assigned to General Tullius's guard. We were stopped in Helgen when we were attacked... by a dragon" hearing it now, if I wasn't there it might sound a bit hard to believe. "A dragon? That's... ridiculous. You aren't drunk, are you boy?" "That's mean, more importantly, do I still have to be here, I'll ask them about getting supplies later. "Husband. Let him tell his story." "Not much more to tell. This dragon flew over and just wrecked the whole place. Mass confusion. I don't know if anyone else got out alive. I doubt I'd have made it out myself if not for my friend here. I need to get back to Solitude and let them know what's happened. I thought you could help us out. Food, supplies, a place to stay." That would be helpful but I'm not gonna stay here long, maybe just sleep the night away in the inn. "Of course! Any friend of Hadvar's is a friend of mine. I'm glad to help however I can." The pop up to take things from his inventory didn't appear. Okay then. He did start talking though "I know we just met, but would you mind me asking a favour" I know what the favour is "Depends on the favour" it's to go to Whiterun. "Can I ask you to head to Whiterun and warn Jarl Balgruuf the Greater about the dragon in Helgen" Ok I can "That shouldn't be a problem. Can you tell me where I can get supplies for my journey?" the Riverwood trader should be where he sends me "If it's weapons you're looking for, I'm the blacksmith here, of course Lucan at the Riverwood trader can assist you with most anything else" "thank you"

With that I leave the house to head to the Riverwood trader, the Golden Claw mission should be available. "Well one of us has to do something!" don't you just love how the dialogue has been mostly the same so far. "I said no! No adventures, no theatrics, no thief-chasing!" I'll gladly adventure of you won't. "Well what are you going to do then, huh? Let's hear it!" "We are done talking about this. Oh, a customer. Sorry you had to hear that." I do know what I want from him, because I neither need to create the manipulation or learn it, I'll just buy whatever he has for ice. What about the store, the gamer Store that is.

Under Construction

Of course it is. "Hello, I'm Lucan owner of the best trader this side of Whiterun" "aren't you the only trader this side of Whiterun". "Fair enough, how can I help you" "I couldn't help but overhear the argument happening as I walked in, did something happen" he should tell me right, because the faster I get the Draagonstone, the faster I go to Whiterun, the faster I fight a dragon, I shouldn't be this excited about fighting a dragon. "Yes, we did have a bit of a... break-in. But we still have plenty to sell. Robbers were only after one thing. An ornament, solid gold. In the shape of a dragon's claw". That's helpful, "I could get it back for you" "You could? I've got some coin coming in from my last shipment. It's yours if you bring my claw back. If you're going after those thieves, you should head to Bleak Falls Barrow, northeast of town" though there is one thing I need before I head to the barrow.

"Do you sell any spells here" because that would be useful. "I think I might have a few laying around here" at least when your shopping there's a pop up window. Skipping the other sections and heading to books, he didn't sell the skills to manipulate sadly, he only had his normal merchant chest, at least frostbite.

Closing the windows, "Thanks" I said before leaving the store, time to hear some rumours, it's weird that I'm following the side quest more than the main quest. So when can I leave if I get bored.

The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller

So after meeting the Greybeards, ok, I can wait that long, it's starting to get dark outside but who cares about the dark. Time to go to Whiterun. Heading out the gate and [Running] over the bridge, I wonder if I would be in time to see the giant fight, I always ignored the path and just jumped down the small hill, there was the farm, but no giant, too late in the day I guess, past the farm and towards where the khajiit traders normally sit, not sure what time they're normally here, why is the entrance around a corner, is it supposed to be for defence or something, It shouldn't be to hard to convince the guard to let me in.

Running levelled up

LVL 4

Hello guards, as I walked up to the gate one of the guards walked down to meet me. "Halt, no one is allowed to enter the city, we are closed to visitors" yeah no. "Alvor from Riverwood has sent me to inform the Jarl about a dragon attack on Helgen" that should get your but into gear "A dragon, the Jarl will want to hear about that you better go inside" watching the gate open is a site to behold, there's people in front of the blacksmith, this late. "We'll pay whatever it takes. But we must have more swords for the Imperial soldiers." Forgot that the Battle-Born support the Imperials to be honest. "I just can't fill an order that size on my own. Why don't you swallow that stubborn pride of yours and ask Eorlund Gray-Mane for help?". She's got a point, mostly. "Ha! I'd sooner bend my knee to Ulfric Stormcloak. Besides, Gray-Mane would never make steel for the Legion." Why would you, you know what never mind. "Have it your way. I'll take the job, but don't expect a miracle.". as Idolaf walked away I walked up to Adrianne. "hello" start with a polite greeting. "Do you work the forge all day", then do the thing that will give me the side quest, how much gold do you think I'll get. "Aye, that I do. I've got to, if I hope to be as good as Eorlund Gray-Mane some day. In fact, I just finished my best piece of work. It's a sword. I made it for the Jarl, Balgruuf the Greater. It's a surprise, and I don't even know if he'll accept it. But... Listen, could you take the sword to my father, Proventus Avenicci? He's the Jarl's steward. He'll know the right time to present it to him."

"Bye" "Stay Sharp" I can get a room at The Bannered Mare if they are asleep. Running toward the main square I watched the guards mostly ignore me, I guess if you're in the city they think you belong here. The guy raving about Talos actually sleeps, who knew? Running up the stairs, still the most annoying part. The guards are just standing there. Not even stopping me as I go in. There's Irileth, oh and Proventus who I have to give the sword to. As I approached the throne to talk to Balgruuf Irileth approaches me slowly, drawing her sword as she does, I'd say I'm not a threat but I'm pretty sure I could kill everybody here. "What's the meaning of this interruption? Jarl Balgruuf is not receiving visitors" well his likely gonna want to see me "Alvor sent me, Riverwood might be in danger" will that get you to listen "As housecarl, my job is to deal with all dangers that threaten the Jarl or his people. So you have my attention. Now, explain yourself" I forgot what dialogue option to use for that one. "I was asked to give the message directly to the Jarl" I was scared of this going wrong, what would happen if I couldn't complete the main quest. ""Whatever you have to say to the Jarl, you can say to me. I'm starting to think..." Balgruuf interrupted her "It's all right, Irileth. I want to hear what he has to say" at least he knows that if someone is willing to interrupt him it might be important.

"What's this about Riverwood being in danger?" drama "I was in Helgen just a day ago, a dragon interrupted Ulfric's execution and ended up burning it to the ground" I guess his down with me as he turns to Proventus, I'm not done with Proventus though or him partly "What do you say now, Proventus? Shall we continue to trust in the strength of our walls? Against a dragon?" I just realised that too "My lord, we should send troops to Riverwood at once. It's in the most immediate danger, if that dragon is lurking in the mountains..." yes and once you do, my quest is completed. "My lord, we should send troops to Riverwood at once. It's in the most immediate danger, if that dragon is lurking in the mountains..." is he stupid or looking for a reason to attack Whiterun, based on what I remember, both, I should go become thane there ""Enough! I'll not stand idly by while a dragon burns my hold and slaughters my people! Irileth, send a detachment to Riverwood at once." Great, I miss being able to skip dialogue. "Yes, my Jarl." Proventus turns to leave "If you'll excuse me, I'll return to my duties." "That would be best" at that comment he turns to me. "Well done. You sought me out, on your own initiative. You've done Whiterun a service, and I won't forget it. Here, take this as a small token of my esteem."

I'll check that on the way out. "There is another thing you could do for me. Suitable for someone of your particular talents, perhaps. Come, let's go find Farengar, my court wizard. He's been looking into a matter related to these dragons and... Rumours of dragons" he begins walking towards Farengars chambers. "I'll introduce you to Farengar. He can be a bit... difficult. Mages. You know" I'm a mage if you didn't notice, but ok. "This is a priority now. Anything we can use to fight this dragon, or dragons. We need it, quickly. Before it's too late." Again dialogue skipping would be useful I still want to talk to Proventus. "Of course, Jarl Balgruuf. You seem to have found me an able assistant. I'm sure he will prove most useful." Uhhh, he turned to me "Succeed at this, and you'll be rewarded. Whiterun will be in your debt" As he leaves Farengar turns to me "So the Jarl thinks you can be of use to me? Oh yes, he must be referring to my research into the dragons. Yes, I could use someone to fetch something for me. Well, when I say fetch, I really mean delve into a dangerous ruin in search of an ancient stone tablet that may or may not actually be there" you also mean likely to kill me if I wasn't me or Dragonborn. "What do you need me to do, the sooner I get it done the sooner I can get back" he looks at me at that, at the odd I'm wearing too, unique dialogue bitch, "You're a mage, why would the Jarl ask a mage for it". Well I am gonna deal with draugr "Most likely wrong place, right time, I brought the word of the dragon, so I was dragged into it, and when dealing with the undead wouldn't you rather a mage deal with it" he looks at me at that "well you aren't wrong, then let's get to the actual task, I, ah, learned of a certain stone tablet said to be housed in Bleak Falls Barrow - a 'Dragonstone,' said to contain a map of dragon burial sites. Go to Bleak Falls Barrow, find this tablet - no doubt interred in the main chamber - and bring it to me. Simplicity itself" yeah simple "I'll be on my way then, be back in a few" before I go he stops me "if you are interested in taking your mage skills further, I'd recommend heading to the college of Winterhold"

Quest alert

With that I set out to Proventus because I still want to complete the quest Adrianne gave me. He was sitting at the table I thought he has work to do. "Hello", he looked up "Are you not the who's supposed to help Farengar what are you still doing here", fair enough but "I have a sword for you, from Adrianne. "rom Adrianne? Ah, this must be that weapon for the Jarl. Poor girl, so eager to prove herself. I'll present it to Balgruuf when his mood is... agreeable. Thank you. Please, take these few coins, for services rendered.
