Chapter 2: Adjustments and Explanations

Hey everyone, I'm back with a new chapter. Wow, one chapter and already over 50 followers and favorites. Thank you all for your support. Sadly after over 20 years, Rooster Teeth has been shut down. I dedicate this chapter to the company that made this amazing show and I hope someone can continue RWBY to give it the Season 10 and proper ending it deserves. I'd also like to thank masters123lfm for giving me some ideas for this chapter. I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.

We find ourselves back in the Twilight Mansion as Team RWBY, JNPR, Penny, Oscar, and Emerald are trying to take in Roxas' declaration.

"I'm sorry, but gone? What do you mean gone?" Yang asks.

"I mean it was there, but now it's not." Roxas clarifies.

"No, I mean…okay this might sound like a stupid question but where are we right now?" Yang asks.

"This is Twilight Town," Roxas said as they looked at each other wondering if any had heard of such a place.

"Uh okay, Roxas was it? Listen we're really confused but what you're saying. We know you found us but how did we end up here when just earlier we were in the middle of a battle on Atlas?" Ruby asks.

Trying to find the right words, Roxas looked to the table and pulled out a book. "Which page was it?" He humbles before putting the book down. "Tell me did any of you see something like this?" Roxas asks as a small holographic image of a Shadow Heartless emerges from the book.

"The new Grimm? Yeah, we fought a few of those." Nora said confusing Roxas.

"Grimm? What are those?" Roxas asks.

"Grimm are beings of pure darkness and destruction that inhabit Remnant. Who want only one thing, humanity's destruction," Blake explains making Roxas pause.

"Huh, they are almost the same," Roxas mumbles before turning to them. "Well, these creatures are called Heartless. And like your Grimm, they're beings of darkness as well, but they originate from the darkness in people's hearts. They go to many worlds where the darkness is strong. And if they're not stopped fast enough or if the keyhole isn't found then that world is consumed by darkness and in the end, it's destroyed." Roxas declares.

"Wait so you mean to say Remnant, our homes, everything there…" Jaune starts.

"All gone. There's nothing left of Remnant." Roxas nods horrifying them.

If their world is gone, what did that mean for their friends, families, and the people they bonded with?

"I'm sorry I really am," Roxas said.

"Wait a second, if our world is gone how were you able to find us?" Emerald asks.

"Truth is you guys ended up here. When I returned from helping some other people, I found you all collapsed in the forest out front." Roxas gestures.

"Forest?" Nora pauses.

Leading them outside, Roxas gestured to show the mansion was in the middle of a small forest with lots of trees connecting the mansion to the city, as well as a decent amount behind it.

"When I found you all, I brought you into the manor," Roxas said.

"Well thank you I guess," Ruby said struggling to stand.

"Hang on Rubes. I got ya." Yang said helping her up.

Seeing this struggle, Roxas walks over to her. "Hang on I got ya. What's wrong? Is it just pain or are we dealing with something worse?"

"No just weak and worn out," Ruby admits.

"Hold still. This won't hurt a bit. Curaga." Roxas chants and a green light engulfs Ruby and Yang surprising everyone.

When the light dies down both sisters look at each other and as Yang lets go Ruby stands on her own.

"Whoa. What did you do to us? It's like I was never even hurt." Ruby said.

"I feel like a new me." Yang smiles throwing a few punches.

"A Healing Semblance. Just like you, Jaune." Oscar said looking at him.

"I don't know. His looked different. I've never had to say words to use it." Jaune said.

"Hey, Roxas can you use your semblance on the rest of us?" Weiss asks.

"A semblance?" Roxas asks never hearing that word before.

"You don't know what a semblance is? But then how did you just do that?" Oscar asks.

"You mean my magic?" Roxas corrects making them the confused ones.

"Magic? Something tells me you don't mean like the pull the rabbit out of a hat magic." Emerald said.

"Nope. I use spells and other things to help me out when things look bad." Roxas said.

"So what other ones do you know?" Weiss asks.

Roxas was about to answer when Penny began to groan getting their attention.

"Penny? What's wrong?" Blake asks seeing Penny holding her stomach area.

"I don't know. I feel something wrong inside of me." Penny groans.

"I thought you guys took care of the virus." Oscar panics.

"We did!" Ruby said.

"What did Amborisus do?" Blake asks in a worried tone.

However, all their fears disappeared as a loud rumbling sound echoed from Penny's stomach.

"What is happening to me?" Penny said as they all chuckled.

"Penny, that's just an empty stomach. It means you're hungry." Ruby said amused.

"Hungry? For what?" Penny asks never experiencing this before.

"Mostly food," Norasmirks.

"Although now that you bring it up it's been a while since I've had anything to eat either," Jaune admits.

"I could eat something," Yang admits giving Roxas an idea.

"How about we put the rest of the discussion on hold until after we all eat? I know a great restaurant nearby. It's on me." Roxas offers getting their attention.

"Uh not to sound ungrateful Roxas but are you sure you want to pay for all of us? We're a pretty big—" Weiss starts when Emerald suddenly covers her mouth.

"When someone offers to pay for your meal you don't question it," Emerald said eager for a free meal.

"Don't worry, I know the chef. Plus I have a decent amount of Munny saved up." Roxas said.

"Munny? Wait you don't take Lien here?" Blake said not liking this.

Needless to say, this part would take the most adjustments.

Leading them out of the mansion and through a small forest, they make their way through Twilight Town and are surprised by the unique colors and architecture.

"We definitely don't have a place like this in Remanent," Blake said.

"If you want I can show you around after we eat." Roxas offers.

Soon they were in a restaurant called Le Grand Bistro, sitting together happily enjoying what had to be hands down one of the best meals they've ever had. And in Penny's case, her first meal.

Looking curiously at everyone Penny was unsure what to do.

"Penny you got to try this," Ruby said putting some hamburger steak on her plate.

Slowly grabbing a fork she cut a piece off and when she took a bite she was blown away.

"I never knew eating could be so amazing." Penny smiles.

"You think that's good try this," Yang said holding out a bowl for her.

As Penny happily took a bite her face turned red and she began to pant.

"What is this? And why does my mouth feel like it's on fire?" Penny said.

"That's called spicy food." Yang chuckles as Ren hands Penny some water.

"Here drink this," Ren said as Penny immediately chugged it down.

"I never knew eating could be such an experience," Penny said eyeing the table.

"Well we can help you learn this. Wait until you try sweets." Nora smiles.

Looking around Penny noticed Blake eating a tasty-looking fish dish, Penny curiously wondered if she would share but Blake hissed. This kitty wasn't giving up her fishy anytime soon.

"So wait Penny used to be a robot?" Roxas asks talking with Oscar.

"Yep, but then we made her human." Oscar nods.

"Huh, I feel like I know something similar to that," Roxas said remembering a certain wooden puppet.

"Roxas, this place is amazing. This cooking could give my chef a run for their money." Weiss said.

"Your chef? Did your family own a restaurant or something?" Roxas asks.

"Oh no. I mean the chef in my home." Weiss assures before casually eating some ratatouille. "Mmm this is delicous. What is this?"

"Oh, that's his signature dish, Ratatouille. Everyone always orders that. It's pretty good." Roxas said eating a pasta dish.

"I have to thank him for the meal," Weiss said.

"Seriously. I mean if he's giving us a discount for something this good I have to thank him." Nora said making Roxas gulp.

"Uh wait, I know you guys mean well but it took a while to earn his trust. This chef is a little "different" from what you might expect." Roxas warns but they are insistent on thanking him.

Opening the door to the kitchen they looked around expecting to see the genius behind the food they ate, but to their confusion, they didn't see anyone.

"Uh hello. We wanted to thank you for the meal." Jaune calls out when suddenly a blue rat scurries out.

"RAT!" The girls panic as Nora is about to kill it.

"Whoa! Whoa! Stop!" Roxas yells getting in between them. "This is the chef!"

"Wait what?" Yang pauses.

"Yeah, this is my friend Remy." Roxas introduces as the blue rat waves at them. "How's it going, Little chef?"

Holding up his hands he said so-so before glancing at Blake and getting an uneasy feeling from her cat ears.

"Sorry about my friends, I don't think they're used to surprises like this." Roxas apologizes as Remy shrugs saying he was used to it. "Hey thanks for the meal by the way."

"A rat can cook professional-level cuisine? Things just keep getting weirder and weirder." Ren sweatdrops.

Little did they know, in another part of Twilight Town, in a dark alley a dark portal opened up and a figure fell through it.

Groaning, the figure slowly stood up.

"Where am I?" A sinister male voice said before looking around and noticing something interesting causing an evil grin to appear. "Ooh I like this." He cackles evilly.

After leaving the restaurant, Roxas tried to play tour guide with them.

"So the owner of the restaurant hired that rat to be the chef?" Jaune asks unsure if he had it right.

"Oh yeah, he didn't care. Remy makes some of the best food he ever had and he wanted Remy to work for him. But Remy isn't like most rates, he's very professional he sure to wash his hands and stay clean." Roxas said.

"Well at least it's sanitary." Ren cringed.

As Weiss walked along with them, she noticed a family walking together, smiling, and happy to be together. Frowning she couldn't help but wonder what happened to her family back on Remnant. And the big question is if she even wanted to see part of her family again. More specifically one member of her family.

"So Roxas, you said you talked to another group before us does that mean more people can end up here?" Ren asks.

"Yeah, it's possible." Roxas nods.

"So that group you dealt with earlier, could they be from Remnant?" Yang asks.

"No, they were from a different world. They lost theirs because of a whole different mess than your Grimm. Plus I met them a few days ago." Roxas said.

"So now that you fed us, what's the next step?" Emerald asks.

"Well I called my friends earlier, they'll be here shortly to help but ultimately what happens next is up to you guys. You can have a whole new life here free from whatever struggles you might have had before if you wanted to." Roxas said.

"Are you being serious right now?" Blake asks.

"Look I know you guys are going through a lot and I'm trying to help you adjust. If you need a little time to think about it that's fine. You have a few options of what you want to do." Roxas said.

"Well, there is one more option for them if you're interested." A mad voice calls out making all the Huntsmen and Huntresses freeze up in surprise.

"Oh no, is that?" Jaune gulps.

Leaping from the rooftops, and landing across from them they saw an adult man with pale skin, gold eyes, a brown ponytail braided to resemble a scorpion tail, a white sleeveless coat, dual wrist blades that resembled scorpion pinchers, a metal scorpion tail coming out of him, and patches of darkness over his left eye, both his arms and on his chest. This was Tyrian Callows.

"T-Tyrian?" Ruby said in horror and disbelief.

"Hello, young Huntsmen." Tyrian grins.

"Friend of yours?" Roxas asks.

"Not even close," Jaune said.

"Tyrian, what happened to you?" Ruby asks looking at him.

"Cool isn't it? Once Remanent was swallowed up by the darkness this happened to me. Manifested from the twisted pleasure of my own mind." Tyrian grins readying his weapons and tail. "So…who wants to be the first to be ripped to shreds by me?!"

They were about to draw their weapons defensively when Roxas stepped forward surprising them.

"Ooh, always nice to have a volunteer." Tyrian cackles.

"Roxas, what are you doing?" Weiss asks.

"Stopping him." Roxas said before turning to Tyrian. "These guys are with me, so if you want to hurt them and this town you gotta go through me," Roxas warns.

"Sounds good to me," Tyrian said not having a problem with that.

"Roxas, don't. This guy is dangerous. He took on me, Nora, and Ruby with ease." Ren warns.

"Yeah? So am I." Roxas declares taking a stance. "Come and get it."

"With pleasure!" Cackling Tyrian charges in at full speed.

Swinging his arms, he was about to slice Roxas in half when suddenly a flash of light and darkness appeared in Roxas' hands and Tyrian's attack was blocked much to everyone, including Tyrian's surprise.

In his hands, everyone saw two weapons that looked like giant keys. One was a white blade with yellow and blue tips, the guard resembled two angel wings, with a star at the end of the keychain. The other was a black blade with bat-like wings for a guard with a jewel in the middle and along the keychain was a black crown.

Grunting Roxas pushes back sending Tyrian skidding across the street

Looking at him, Blake was about to open her mouth to ask something but Roxas turned to her. "For the record, I could have done this anytime I wanted to when you attacked me earlier but I didn't want to hurt you guys," Roxas answers for her.

'It can't be, those weapons.' A voice in the back of Oscar's head said surprising him.

"Ozpin?" Oscar mutters hearing it.

"Ooh looks like the new guy has some fight in him. But I got some new tricks up my sleeve." Tyrian grins as darkness begins to emit from his body.

"What's happening to him?" Ruby asks as they draw their weapons.

"He's letting the darkness inside him grow. Something's coming." Roxas warns as 2 Dozen Soldier Heartless and a dozen Watcher Heartless show up.

"What are those things?" Nora asks.

"Heartless." Roxas answers.

"Wait but these look different than the ones that attacked Atlas," Weiss said.

"Can we save the explanations until after we deal with this?" Roxas gestures pointing to Tyrian and the Heartless.

As a Soldier leaped at him, Roxas swung both keyblades slashing it away with ease.

Seeing he had a point they all joined the fight.

Flying in, the Watchers fired lasers forcing them to dodge while Jaune raised his shield to deflect it.

Leaping over him, Nora swings her hammer smacking a Watcher and sending it smashing into the ground allowing Ruby to slash it.

As 4 Soldiers surrounded Weiss, she created a glyph to make ice shoot out and blast them away.

"Blizzaga!" Roxas yells firing a large chunk of ice that when split into chunks it hit all 4 Heartless.

"More magic?" Weiss asks impressed.

"We'll talk later." Roxas insists before she runs off to fight some more.

Seeing Roxas was alone and vulnerable, Tyrian took a stance. "First to rise, first to fall."

Charging forward, darkness covered his wrist blades and he attacked.

Turning around, Roxas raised his keyblades to block but the resulting force knocked Roxas out of the square and into the main streets of Twilight Town.

"Roxas!" Ruby gasps seeing Tyrian chase after him.

She tried to follow only for a Solider to leap in and attack her forcing her to jump back.

If they wanted to help Roxas, they had to get through them first.

With Roxas, he was dodging and weaving avoiding Tyrian's quick and deadly strikes.

"What's the matter? Where'd all that confidence go?" Tyrian asks as they land in the open area just across from the entrance to the forest.

"Still here," Roxas said deflecting a strike and jumping back to avoid Tyrian's tail.

"I'm gonna enjoy ripping you to shreds!" Tyrian grins about to strike when suddenly something coated in flames flies his way and knocks him away.

"Well, you're a little weirder than enemies we've seen before." A male voice chuckles making Roxas grin.

"But if you think you can mess with our town and Roxas." A female voice said emerging from the shadows.

"Then you have another thing coming." A second male voice said as three figures in black coats emerged alongside Roxas.

One was a man with wild spiky red hair and green eyes, one was a man with long blue hair, blue eyes, an X shaped scare in between his eyes and over his nose, and the final was a teenage girl close to Roxas' age with short black hair like Ruby's and blue eyes. These were Lea, Isa, and Xion.

"So, you have your own team of Huntsmen as well? I do love slaughtering teams." Tyrian said as Isa looked at Roxas demanding an explanation.

"He's from another world and wants to kill the people I'm helping." Roxas summarizes.

"Well, we can't let that happen now, can we?" Isa said summoning a claymore, while Lea and Xion summoned keyblades of their own.

Lea's was bright red in the shape of a flame, with a guard shaped like a chakram, Xion's was more basic. A long white silver keyblade with a yellow guard.

Making the first move, Lea slammed his keyblade into the ground and a giant wall of flames appeared around the 5 of them.

"Nowhere to run now." Lea declares.

"Who's running?" As darkness coated his wrist blades and tail, Tyrian leaped into the air to deliver a divebomb strike but before he could attack Xion appeared in front of him.

Swinging her keyblade she knocks out of the air forcing him to the ground.

Swinging his claymore, Isa slams it down forcing Tyrian to roll out of the way.

Using his tail it lunges at Isa but he deflects it with his blade before Roxas comes in from the side knocking him.

"You 4 are clearly seasoned warriors," Tyrian said.

"Oh, you have no idea buddy. Compared to the things we've faced in our lives you're barely a step above Heartless." Lea mocks.

"You're no Xehanort, that's for sure." Roxas agrees.

"Who?" Tyrian pauses briefly. "Well then allow me to prove you wrong."

Back in the main square, Oscar whacks a solider away allowing Penny to slash it.

As the Watchers flew in, Ren, Emerald, Nora, and Blake opened fire trying to shoot them out of the sky.

When one flew in, Yang leaped up and grabbed it before throwing it to the ground making it explode into darkness.

On the ground, Ruby, Weiss, Penny, Oscar, and Jaune were dealing with the soldiers.

"Okay, we need to seriously have a talk with Roxas about these Heartless things," Jaune said slashing two in half.

"Not just that," Oscar said whacking one away with his staff. "Ozpin seems to know something about those weapons of his."

"Well, then we need to stop these things now." Firing missiles, Nora blasts a Watcher out of the sky.

Nodding, Blake threw her Gambol Shroud wrapping around two Soldiers, pulling on it with all her might they flew towards Penny who slashed them away with her swords.

As she tosses one up in the air. Ren fires a shot sending it flying toward a Watcher impaling it in the face and destroying it.

Activating her weapon, Weiss uses red dust and releases fire burning away a Soldier while Ruby dashes in and slashes the last one.

"Come on. Roxas needs our help!" Ruby said running down the street to help, but when she turned a corner Ruby stopped in her tracks surprised.

"Ruby, what's going on? I thought we were…whoa." Yang pauses.

Looking at the fight, they saw Roxas, Lea, Xion, and Isa fighting Tyrian as they were surrounded by a ring of fire.

"Those must be his friends he was talking about," Jaune said.

Swinging both his keyblades, Roxas clashes with Tyrian before the Fanus ducks down and sweeps his legs trying to trip Roxas but he jumps back.

Rushing in, Isa swings his Claymore forcing Tyrian to roll out of the way as the impact crushes the ground where he was standing.

Turning to Xion, Tyrian thrusts his tail at her but ducks under the attack and slides in nailing him in the chest with her keyblade making him skid back.

"Roxas let's slow him down!" Xion calls out and he nods.

"Seeker Mine!" Both cast and a series of lights surround Tyrian.

"Cute light show but it'll take more than that to scare me," Tyrian said unimpressed.

Smirking the mines began racing towards him but Tyrian jumped up to avoid them.

"You can avoid them but can you avoid us?" Running along his wall of flames, Lea attacks Tyrian sending him skidding back.

He was about to respond when he noticed the mines moving towards him forcing him to dodge.

"Whoa clever strategy." Emerald said impressed.

"What do you mean?" Nora asks.

"Just look, that spell doesn't allow Tyrian to move around as much as he would like. It's made juggle between fighting them or avoiding the mines." Emerald explains.

"And if Tyrian can't focus." Blake starts.

As Tyrian swats Lea away Roxas moves in from behind and delivers a double slash sending Tyrian crashing right on top of the mines setting off the explosions.

"He goes out with a bang." Yang jokes.

From the smoke, the four of them waited for it to clear when suddenly bullets flew through forcing them to deflect it.

Lunging through the smoke Tyrian attacks them delivering a series of fast and deadly attacks.

Narrowing his stance, Isa's eyes began to glow signaling he entered the Berserker State. As his claymore changed shape, 3 more began floating around him.

Using two, Isa blocks Tyrian's strikes and the third blocks his tail. Eyes widening Tyrian couldn't move.

Grabbing the last Claymore, Isa slams it down creating a wave of blue energy that slams into Tyrian knocking him.

Before Tyrian could even look to see Isa delivers a series of powerful slashes with his weapons that sent Tyrian flying back and smashing against the flame wall burning him.

"Stand down. You're out of your league." Isa said exiting the trance.

"Never." Tyrian growls standing up. Looking at him, he had several bruises and burn marks and the patches of darkness on him were beginning to radiate more.

"Well this guy's a lost cause," Lea said seeing they weren't gonna convince him otherwise.

Growling Tyrian charges in only to see Roxas charge in to meet him.

Roaring in anger he swings his wrist blades at him, but at the last second Roxas jumps over him and swings his keyblades slashing off Tyrian's prosthetic tail making him howl in pain.

Using this opening Xion and Lea swing at his arms shattering his wrist blades.

No weapons, no tail, and no escape route Tyrian began to panic.

"You're a real piece of work you know that? But you made one mistake. You came to our town to cause trouble." Lea said with a glare that resembled that of an assassin. A look Tyrian knew all too well.

"You'll regret this, sooner or later Salem will find out about you 4 and you will suffer!" Tyrian snaps.

"And we'll be ready when she does," Roxas said not even flinching.

"But your days of hurting people are over." Isa declares.

"Goodbye," Lea said throwing his keyblade and a pillar of flames erupted on Tyrian.

With glowing keyblades Roxas and Xion deliver multiple lightning-fast strikes before Isa delivers the final strike causing Tyrian to fall to the ground with darkness enveloping him.

"I don't believe it…they beat him," Ruby said in disbelief.

"How strong are these guys?" Ren asks amazed.

When the darkness disappeared Tyrian's body was gone as well once he did, they all breathed relief and made their weapons disappear.

"Guys you're okay." Roxas smiles happy to see they beat the Heartless.

"Uh, Roxas who are these people?" Oscar asks nervously.

"Who am I? Oh, my name's Lea. Got it memorized?" Lea asks doing his signature pose.

"Uh sure," Weiss said unsure how to react to that.

"Good, you're a fast learner." Lea smiles.

"These are my friends, you already met Lea and this is Xion and Isa." Roxas introduces.

"Nice to meet you." Xion smiles while Isa just nods.

"You guys handled yourselves pretty well with those Heartless. Sorry about your world though." Lea cringed.

"Yeah thanks." They said uncomfortably.

"So what took you guys so long?" Roxas asks.

"We found some stragglers on our way in. I found mine in Arendelle." Lea starts.

"I found this one wandering around Pranker's Paradise," Isa adds.

"And these ones were in the Dwarf Woodlands," Xion said before turning down an alley. "Hey, it's safe. You can come out now."

Slowly emerging from around the corner, everyone gasped seeing Winter along with an elderly man with dark skin and short, balding white hair, a green cap on his head, a red vest over a white long-sleeve shirt, and sitting in a high-tech wheelchair. After him were two women. One was a woman with light skin, wavy blonde hair, and blue eyes, wearing an orange sleeveless top with a beige sleeveless vest, and light brown trousers. The other was a woman with light brown skin, short dark brown hair and eyes, red glasses on her face, and was wearing a dark navy collar shirt with a light-blue cardigan, and dark-gray jeans. In her arms, we see a small infant with short black hair and brown eyes, wearing a white and blue long-sleeved shirt with denim overalls.

These were Pietro Polendina, Saphron, Terra, and Adrian Cotta-Arc.

"W-Winter?" Weiss gasps getting her sister's attention.

"Weiss." Smiling the two ran to each other and hugged.

"Saphron?" Jaune smiles.

"Jaune!" Smiling Jaune ran to his older sister and her family and they hugged.

"What's with the hair?" Saphron smirks amused.

"What? I like it." Jaune defends.

"I think it suits you." Terra giggles.

"Father," Penny said running to her creator.

"Penny darling. You're safe." Pietro smiles before noticing the changes. "What happened to you?"

"It's a long story." Penny smiles.

"I don't believe this," Blake said amazed.

"How? What happened to you?" Weiss asks.

"We were in the middle of stopping Harriet and the other ACE OPS from dropping the bomb and the next thing I know these strange new Grimm showed up everywhere. I tried to fight them off but there were so many the whole room turned dark. The next thing I know, I'm in this new city and I run into him." Winter said gesturing to Lea.

"Boy was she freaking out. You should have seen her face. She thought I kidnapped her or something." Lea chuckles making Winter turn red with embarrassment.

"Hey! As a military officer, I need to be prepared for any possible scenario." Winter defends.

"Always being prepared? Oof, no wonder it took you so long to listen." Lea rolls his eyes.

"Wait a second. I thought you said our world was gone?" Ren said looking at Roxas.

"I did. But what happens to the people of the world is a different story. You saw what happened to Tyrian. People like that with lots of darkness in their hearts can be infected by the Heartless and turn them into monsters, but the ones that don't end up as Stragglers in different worlds like you guys. So, my friends and I find them in the other worlds we help and we bring them here so we can help them put their lives together." Roxas explains.

"So does that mean the other people of our world?" Ruby starts.

"They're not dead, Ruby. They're out there somewhere." Roxas confirms before gesturing to the new stragglers. "And we can help you find them."

Hearing this Ruby's eyes widen. These guys weren't villains in the slightest, they were like Huntsmen but on a much larger scale. Not to mention they took down Tyrian. She could only imagine how much they've had to go through to get to this level.

"Roxas, I want to help you find them," Ruby said volunteering much to everyone's surprise.

"You do?" Roxas asks unsure if she is serious.

"You told us we could do whatever we wanted now that we're here and this is what I want to do. Our friends and family are out there somewhere, I can't just sit back and let you guys do all the heavy lifting. If these Heartless are everywhere then I need to be able to handle them better. Especially if more people like Tyrian are out there. Not everyone from home can fight those things, please there has to be something I can do." Ruby said.

"Ruby's right. Mom and Whitley would never survive those things." Weiss said nervously at the very idea.

Looking up at the sky, Roxas saw the sun was going down and smiled.

"Alright, if you guys are serious, we'll go tomorrow and see if we can figure something out before we go to other worlds," Roxas said.

"Why not now?" Nora asks.

"3 reasons. Reason 1, you guys just got some of your family back and you need to rest and process everything. Reason 2, the train to get there doesn't go until tomorrow." Roxas starts.

"And the third?" Yang asks curiously.

"It's time for the best part of the day," Roxas said as Xion, Lea, and Isa smiled knowing what he meant.

"I suppose it's been earned after today." Isa smiles.

"What are you guys talking about?" Jaune asks.

"Should we invite them along?" Xion asks.

"It's only right." Roxas nods before looking at the people of Remnant. "Follow us."

Curious, they followed them up to the clock tower atop the train station.

"What is all this?" Emerald asks.

"The icing on the cake." Lea declared as the four of them held trays of blue-colored popsicles. "Grab one and take a seat folks."

"Ooh, what is this?" Nora said taking one.

"Sea Salt Ice Cream. The best thing Twilight Town has to offer." Roxas said handing one to each of them before they sat down atop the tower.

Curious Weiss examines it before taking a bite.

"Mmm, it's salty but sweet." Weiss smiles.

"It's good." Yang smiled as she and Ruby took a bite.

As Nora took a bite she smiled. "Where has this been all my life?"

"Mmm. This is delicious. Even better than what I had eaten at that other place." Penny said taking a big bite before cringed in pain.

"Penny? What's wrong?" Pietro asks concerned.

"I feel a stinging cold sensation in my cranial area," Penny said making Xion, Lea, and Roxas laugh.

"It's called a brain freeze. Just eat slow and you'll be fine." Roxas chuckles.

Slowly holding some out for Adrian, Safron gave the little baby a taste while everyone else seemed to enjoy it too.

"Man, this hits the spot." Lea sighs leaning against the wall.

"I didn't realize ice cream was so important to you guys," Oscar said.

"Well, it's more than that," Roxas said.

"After every mission, we come here eat ice cream, and watch the sunset," Xion said.

"Simple." Ren acknowledges.

"Something as simple as this can be all we need. It helps remind us that whatever we dealt with today is over. And tomorrow is a new day with new chances." Isa said.

Hearing this, the Huntsmen and Huntresses couldn't help but ponder the thought. Even though things were bad, they had the opportunity to make it better.

As Ruby looked at them, she couldn't help but be impressed. The four of them were like their own team of experienced Huntsmen but they had everything together.

After finishing their ice cream and night came, they returned to the Twilight Manor.

"So you guys can really help my sister and her family?" Jaune asks as he, Saphron, and Terra are walking with Isa.

"We'll figure something out for them. In the meantime, just try to keep the little one under close watch. It's a big mansion and it's not childproof." Isa warns.

"Don't worry, after today I don't think I'll be letting him out of my sight anytime soon," Terra assures.

"Thank you." Saphron nods gratefully.

Nearby Lea jumped onto the couch and put his feet up.

"Oh man, after all that traveling nothing beats getting to lay down and do nothing." Lea sighs.

"You're surprisingly chill for a guy who killed an assassin," Yang said.

"Big deal, we've dealt with people and creatures trying to kill us on a daily basis." Lea brushes off.

"So what's the deal with these black coats? Does everyone wear them?" Nora asks looking at Xion.

"No only people with "special" qualities can wear a coat," Xion said.

Nearby, Weiss leaned against the back window to see the mansion had a giant backyard complete with a small forest in front of a large open area and it even had a pool.

They came up with so many things to try and help people feel at ease after losing so much.

"Hey Weiss." Turning around she saw Roxas standing nearby. "You holding up okay?"

"Well better than I was earlier today, but that's not much." Weiss admits.

"I guess if you're doing a little better that means I'm getting the hang of this whole helping people thing." Roxas said making Weiss smile amused. "Anyway you guys can have your pick of the rooms here. If you want we can even help you customize them so they feel like home." Roxas offers before turning to leave.

"Wait. Can I ask you something? I know you said you're still new to this but can you at least try to answer it?" Weiss asks.

Seeing that she needed this, Roxas nodded. "Sure what is it?"

"This place, I can tell despite stuff that goes on: the heartless, the constant worlds in danger, the rat running his own restaurant. You seem right at home with all this. The place we come from, they make us who we are for better or worse, but what happens when that place is gone? Do you still carry that place with you even if it doesn't exist anymore? Who are you if your home is no longer real?" Weiss asks.

Hearing what she said, Roxas walks up to her and puts his hand on her shoulder.

"That's easy. You're you. Nobody else." Roxas declares.

"Huh?" Weiss said not expecting this.

"Twilight Town, this place is great but it wasn't my original home. My story is a little complicated but for most of my life, I was in a bad place. I worked under a man who claimed he knew what was best for me and my friends. And for a while, I followed him without question. He said I would be rewarded for my contributions but as time went on, I began to notice things and I realized that he wasn't someone I should be following. So I left, and eventually so did my friends. We joined the side we thought was right." Roxas explains remembering his time in the Organization.

Hearing this Weiss couldn't help but be surprised. She had spent almost her entire life under her father's rule until she finally had enough. Just like Roxas.

"This man you worked for, sounds like he really had you under his rule huh?" Weiss asks.

"Yeah. You know he found me right in front of this mansion. Right down there." Roxas said pointing to the front gate.

"Wow, must have been hard walking away from it all," Weiss said.

"It wasn't easy, but I figured things out eventually and you will too. It doesn't matter if the place you come from is gone. Anywhere can be your new home if you want it to be, but who you are, that's something that only you can decide. Something that no one can change or take away from you. I look forward to helping you get to know yourself, Weiss." Roxas smiles.

Looking at his smiling face, Weiss actually felt he answered her question right. "Thank you, Roxas. I look forward to finding that out for myself as well."

"I'm gonna go get some rest. Hopefully, you can get some too." Roxas said turning to leave.

"Hey Roxas," Weiss calls out. "Maybe someday you can tell us your story."

"Maybe someday," Roxas said walking away.

As Weiss watched him leave, she had to admit this was a hard adjustment but despite him being new to this as well, Roxas was making it easier.

Looking at her scroll, she wondered when and if she would find the rest of her family. All that would hopefully be answered someday.

In his room, Oscar sat down in his bed.

"Ozpin, you said you knew what the weapon was that Roxas used. What is it?" Oscar asks.

"It's called a keyblade and it's the best weapon to defeat Salem." Ozin declares leaving Oscar speechless.
