Malachi was pacing, his father was watching him in amusement. He couldn't understand why his son was so nervous, he knew Thalia was going to say yes. He couldn't help it, he laughed, "Son, sit down before you wear a hole in my rug."
Collapsing in a chair, he looked up to his father, "What if she changed her mind?"
"She hasn't. Thalia had you meet her family and get their approval. She's not going to say no."
They both looked up when Lucius entered, "Still no sign of Dumbledore."
Tom and Malachi frowned, "How can no one be able to find him?" Malachi asked.
"You need to warn Thalia to be on the lookout. If I were to guess, I would say the old man will be after Harry." Tom told his son.
Malachi nodded, "I will" he looked at the time, standing, "I have to go. I'm picking her up."
Standing, Tom walked over to his son, "Calm down, you have nothing to fear."
He nodded and hugged his father before leaving. Tom looked to Lucius and both men began to laugh as soon as they heard the floo.

Thalia descended the stairs to find her family waiting for her. She was going out with Malachi, and they were going to talk. Her grandfather walked over and hugged her to him. "You look so much like your mother, beautiful."
She smiled up at him, "Thank you." Kissing his cheek, she said, "Now, you three know the rules and don't set the house on fire."
Sirius huffed while the other two laughed, "It was one time! I'm sorry the popcorn instructions weren't clear." He pouted.
Hearing the floo, she moved to greet Malachi. He looked so handsome in his suit, she moved forward and gave him a kiss. "Hello" she greeted quietly.
He smiled down at her, "You look beautiful" Noticing the others, he greeted everyone. Looking back to Thalia, he asked, "Are you ready?"
"Yes" She looked to her family, "I'll be back later, love you all."

Malachi had reserved them a table at the restaurant they had their first date. They had been on a few dates, but he wanted to do this here. "How have things been with everyone?" he asked.
"Good. Remus is stubborn and fights me when I give him his potion. I really surprised everyone when I joined for the full moon."
He grinned, "And just when are you going to show me what goes with those impressive claws?"
"I'll show you later if you want." She smiled sweetly.
When dessert was finished, Malachi had finally gathered his courage up. Taking Thalia's hand, he made sure she was looking to him. "I know we've spoken about it, but I wanted to do things right" He moved to kneel before her, "Thalia, I was mesmerized by you from the first time I met you. I know what we have right now can grow into something amazing and beautiful, just like you. Will you marry me?" He opened the ring box and showed her a beautiful ring that was shaped like a snake. The emerald in the snake's mouth was at least five carats, and the eyes were rubies, and the scales were black and white diamonds.
Thalia didn't notice the ring though, she was to caught up in the look Malachi was giving her. She started to nod her head and finally said, "Yes, I'll marry you!" She leapt forward, taking them both to the ground and kissed him.
Finally coming up for air, he asked, "Do you want your ring?" She nodded enthusiastically and he showed her.
"It's beautiful" she breathed.
Malachi smiled as he put the ring on her finger, "Not as beautiful as you." He kissed her again.

After he paid, Malachi led her outside. Since it was still summer, the weather was good for a walk around the alley. They were both so engrossed with each other, they didn't notice the man watching them. The two were looking at a couple of shops that had opened.
The spell that was shot at them barely missed. Malachi quickly pushed Thalia behind him and looked for their attacker. The second spell busted the window behind Thalia, she threw a shield up. "Can you see where it's coming from?" she asked.
"No" Malachi responded, eyes scanning the alley.
The next spell hit his shoulder, and Thalia realized the attacker had moved. Looking at the wound, she tried to put pressure on it, but another spell came at them. This time, she had seen which direction it came from and returned spell fire.
The man who was attacking had to move or he would have been hit. Both of them started to fire spells, Thalia sent an expelliarmus and was surprised when the mans wand came flying at her. When she caught the wand, the man screamed and apparated away.
The wand she had caught was very old. She could feel the same magic that was on her brothers cloak. Turning to Malachi, his eyes widened.
"Thalia, love" he started but he could feel the power radiating from her, then her eyes went black before returning to blue.
"It's the wand Grindelwald told me about. That must have been Dumbledore in disguise."
"We need to get out of here." When she nodded, he pulled her close and apparated them out.

Everyone stared at the wand and cloak on the table. They had called everyone over to discuss what had happened. Tom pulled something from his pocked, looking to Thalia, he placed it on the table too.
"Is that?" she breathed and he nodded, "We have all three of the Deathly Hallows."
Harry looked confused but watched as his sister moved towards the table. "Sis" he called out but she seemed to be in a trance.
Malachi moved to grab her but was pulled back by his father. "Don't" he looked at his father confused but stopped.
Thalia touched her hand across the top of the items and gasped when the temperature in the room dropped. She looked around but no one else seemed to notice. Picking up the wand, she looked to Harry and Tom, "Take them." Once they had grabbed the items, she turned to Tom. "Think of Melinda and turn the stone three times in your hand."
Doing as she said, he gasped when a shade of his wife appeared. "How?" he breathed.
Malachi walked closer, "Mum" when she nodded, the others left the two to their reunion.

Tom and Malachi walked into the room, no one mentioned their red rimmed eyes. Walking over, Tom placed the stone in Thalia's hand. "Use it, it helps." he whispered.
Looking to her brother, he nodded. Sirius and Remus moved closer. Thalia spun the stone, thinking of her parent's and Lily. When they appeared, both men behind them let out a choked sob. She and Harry weren't any better, even her grandfather gasped.
"My children are finally together." James said, looking to his best friends, he smiled, "Pads, Moony, thank you for being here with them."
They were able to speak with their parents all together, finally. Thalia was happy they approved of her fiancé. Tears were shed, both sad and happy, but it was so worth it to them. When they had to say goodbye, they were sad but knew their parents were watching over them.

Narcissa had caught sight of the rock on Thalia's finger but kept quiet until the emotional reunions were finished. Walking over to the younger woman, she picked up her hand. "My, that is gorgeous!"
Everyone's attention was now on the two. Malachi joined them and smiled, "Thalia agreed to marry me." Congratulations were shared, Tilly popped in with champagne and glasses.
Tom grinned at his son, "See, you were worried for nothing."
Shooting his father a glare, he said, "She might have changed her mind. Luckily for me, she didn't."
Thalia laughed, kissing his cheek. "I had to get him locked in before another witch came sniffing around."
Perceval smiled as he watched his granddaughter and her new fiancé. Seeing his daughters shade made him happy to be here with Thalia. She was all he had left, actually, he seemed to have gained a grandson and two mutts to add to his family.

Madam Bones had been surprised when Lady Potter and Heir Slytherin entered her department with Lord Graves. She had been even more surprised when they explained how Dumbledore had attacked them in disguise. That explained why they hadn't caught sight of the old man.
"Madam Bones, Hogwarts resumes soon and I'm worried about Harry's safety." Thalia told the woman.
Nodding, Madam Bones replied, "I have planned for aurors to patrol the alley during shopping times, be present on the Hogwarts Express and in Hogwarts. Headmistress McGonagall has agreed to allow us in to patrol the halls and grounds. I promise Lady Potter, your brothers safety is top priority."
That allowed Thalia to relax a bit. Everyone knew what Dumbledore had planned for Harry and she was glad Madam Bones was competent in her job. That didn't mean she wouldn't be sending her brother with extra precautions. Once could never be too safe when it came to a mad man.

Harry was excited to meet everyone in the alley and do school shopping. His sister was excited too, she hadn't experienced the alley this busy. Sirius and Remus were with them as well. They were meeting up with his friends and the Malfoys. Hopefully everyone behaved.
Thalia smiled as her brother greeted Hermione. This was the first time she was meeting the girls parents but she knew they were good people, just look at their daughter. With her arm looped through Malachi's, they approached the younger teens.
"Thalia! Look at my new pet, his name is Crookshanks. He's such a sweet boy!" Hermione held up a squashed face, orange haired, grumpy looking, kneazle. The animal looked like he was over it already.
"He's adorable!" Thalia reached up and scratched the animal behind his ears. The girls laughed when Crookshanks began to purr. Looking to the older coupled behind Hermione, she smiled, "Mr. and Mrs. Granger, it's great to finally meet you. You can call me Thalia. This is my fiance, Heir Slytherin."
"Call me Malachi." he grinned and shook their hands.
They all followed the teens around, finally meeting up with the Malfoys. Everyone was surprised when Lucius apologized for his behavior last year and Draco apologized quietly to Hermione. When Sirius and Remus caught up, it seemed to lessen the tension since the Grangers knew them. The true test would be when they met up with the Weasley's.

The robe shop was their first stop. Harry had grown so much over the summer and needed new everything for school. Hermione and Draco seemed to as well. Once they finished, they headed towards the book store. Before arriving, Arthur walked up with Ron, Ginny and the twins. Everyone held their breath but it seemed Arthur and Lucius had worked out their differences.
Malachi watched the twins, they were up to something but he wasn't sure what. He knew they were jokesters and very intelligent. When everyone had stepped out of the bookstore, muttering began. The twins looked proud of their work when Ron, Harry and Draco were covered in polka dots, multicolored polka dots.
Harry could only stare at the other two, he wasn't sure what had happened but knew who was behind it. His sister's laughter seemed to break the dam, and the others laughed too. Ron of course knew it was the twins and began to chase them. Draco just looked at his arms in shock.
Malachi walked over to the boys and reversed the spell, grinning. "Those two are very smart." Seeing Harry and Draco's confused looks, he added "They somehow made their charm only affected you three. None of us were effected and we didn't walk out in any particular order."
Sirius and Remus grinned, they needed to speak with Fred and George it seemed. Their legacy would live on!

Thalia wasn't ready for her brother to leave. She felt like she hadn't gotten enough time with him yet and now she wouldn't see him until Christmas. Finishing up the last touches, she called for Harry. They needed to talk before he left.
Harry sat on the sofa next to his sister. He felt the same as she did, he didn't want to leave her. Thalia had been in her office all morning, he wasn't sure what she was working on but kenw it was for him. "What's going on?"
"I have some things for you. I want you to keep these on you at all times. With Dumbledore still on the loose, I want you to be safe, and I want to be able to find you if needed." She handed over a chain, belt buckle, and pen. Harry looked to the items curiously. "The pen and belt buckle are portkeys. They will go through any ward. The chain is so I can find you if I need to."
Harry leaned forward and hugged her. Before Thalia, he had never felt loved like this. Now, he had a whole group of people who cared for him. "Thank you. Not just for this but for everything you've done for me this summer."
Thalia smiled, "For years, my goal has been to get you. Now that we're together, I won't let anyone separate us. I would kill anyone who tried."
Harry hugged her again. He knew she was telling the truth and he loved her that much more for it. "I love you sister" he whispered into her shoulder.
Thalia pulled him closer, "I love you too little brother." The two sat like that for a few before she broke the silence. "Don't forget, you can call Dobby or Tilly if you need. Elves can usually get places wizards can't."

Thalia stood with Harry on the platform. Neither sibling wanted to let the other go. When Hermione showed, he finally released her. She smiled at her brother, "Don't forget this" She handed him his permission slip for Hogsmead.
He smiled, "Maybe you can visit me on a Hogsmead weekend."
"Of course I will! Just owl me the date and I will be there." Thalia hugged him again, "I'm going to miss you but I'll see you soon."
Harry finally released her, "I'll miss you too. Expect Hedwig soon." He went and said his goodbyes to Remus and Sirius, hugging them too. Harry had never cared when school started, he had always looked forward to it, to getting away from the Dursleys. Now that he had a family, he hated that summer break was so short.
Making sure to find a window seat, he watched his family get smaller as the train pulled away. Ron and Hermione kept quiet until Harry spoke. They knew he finally had someone to miss and this year would be hard for him.
