Agrabah

Many Years Ago…

Charging through the flat dusty plains of Agrabah he knew he could only outrun Jafar for so long on horseback. Bolts of red lighting rained down upon him from above as the dark sorcerer rode his magic carpet as he closed on the small stone building set in the middle of nowhere.

"Help!" he called out to his friend inside as he dismounted his black stallion "He's coming, my prince! He's coming! We need your help!" he continued to warn, only to go silent when he entered the small stone building to find his friend, on his knee's

"Please brother" he pleaded to him as he panted for breath "Our Kingdom is in great danger. We need The Saviour".

"I'm sorry. He's not seeing anyone today" his handmaid informs him "Not even his Assassin's" she adds as his eye's see the way his friend's hand shook.

"What's wrong with him?" he asks the girl only for the curtains in the doorway to blow-in behind him, stepping further into the room the assassin tuned to face the only entrance to the building as the dark sorcerer stepped in holding his snake head shaped golden staff in his hand.

"Jafar" he growled out between his teeth "Stay back" he warned the sorcerer being up his arm as his hidden blade slipped out of his gauntlet as the sorcerer took note of the finger that was missing from his armed wrist.

"Basim" his friend weakly called out to him from the floor knowing he would die to protect him.

"Ali" he tried to call out to his friend behind him only for his name to get caught in his throat as he felt it tighten making him choke.

"You Assassins" Jafar glowered at the assassin as he met Basim's eye as he continued to choke "So Pathetic" with a wave of his staff, the sorcerer threw the assassin across the room, leaving the saviour without his protector.

"The great Saviour, hiding behind his Assassin dog" Jafar professed to the hero "This is a sad day, indeed".

"Please, don't hurt him" the handmaiden pleaded for the saviour only to be waved away, joining Basim on the ground, unconscious.

"I heard, but I had to come see for myself. Look at the great Aladdin, now" the sorcerer continued as Aladdin slowly stood to his feet to meet the villain head on "And to think you could have escaped this fate".

"You're gonna kill me. Just get it over with" Aladdin tells the man straight.

"No, not a chance" Jafar states "I want to savour this" he chuckles "Do you remember when we first met? You were nothing but a common thief. But you had honour. Despite what you did to me" he shrugs before he circles the saviour "The irony is delicious. It took becoming a hero for you to completely come apart. But's that's what always happens to Saviours, isn't it?" Jafar hisses in Aladdin's ear from behind for circling round to face him again.

"It's the fate of Saviours. You give and give and give and for what? They pick the fruit, they cut the branches and all that's left is this…shaky stump. That's why you never, ever here these words about a Saviour. "They lived happily ever after" he quotes to the man with a chuckle "Do take care, Aladdin" he says leaving the saviour with his shaking hand.
