Hazbin Hotel, One Day Later

Charlie had fully woken up, gotten dressed, and prepared herself for the new day by this point. She had gone back to her room yesterday thinking of what her next steps would be and a lot of thinking is what she did. "I just don't get why they would do this. A cleanse being in half the time is just less time that my people get to recover from the last slaughter. There has got to be a reason for this, there has to. I wish I could find out why. Maybe...maybe they think that Hell's population is getting too big. Maybe they think they have to do this. Maybe this won't be a one-time thing, maybe it will keep getting sooner and sooner. I've got to do something." She really started to think of what she could do, and who she could talk to to get answers. But then, it hit her. In a way, it was so simple. Who could she go to to get answers about a decision Heaven made but Heaven itself? She knew that her dad had meetings with Heaven, so he must have some type of contact with them. This sprouted another idea. She quickly fumbled around and got her phone from her pocket. She scrolled through her contacts and selected her dad's number. After three rings, her father picked up on the other line.

"Heyyyy Charlie. This is a...a bit of a surprise. I didn't expect you to call," Lucifer spoke from the other line.

"Yea, but some big things have changed. I figured you know about the clock tower?" Charlie asked, even though she pretty much knew her dad knew about something as big as that.

"The clock tower? Oh! Right. Yeah, the cleanse is happening sooner or something like that," Lucifer answered, although he didn't speak with any form of concern or wonder of why it even changed. It was like he barely cared.

"Yes...and do you know...maybe why that is the case?" Charlie decided to be a bit more direct with this question.

"Nope. I really don't focus on the decisions Heaven just randomly decides to make these days. I'm sure they have some kind of reason but...I don't know. I don't pay too much attention to it," Lucifer still didn't seem like this affected him in any way or saw it as much of a big deal as Charlie.

"But wouldn't you want to know?" Charlie spoke with a bit of concern in her voice. "The cleanses already kill so many of our people and now they want to move it up sooner than ever? That would be even more deaths."

"Yes, it would. But it's not like we can just question why they did this or do much about it. Heaven makes their own choices and that's that," this time Lucifer sounded a bit more defeated with this response.

Charlie quickly caught on that her dad had no intention of trying to make any change to this decision. "But maybe we can. Maybe we can use this as a way to change their mind."

"We can use this as a way to change Heaven's mind? Charlie, I don't know where you are trying to go with this but Heaven does not change their mind," Lucifer remained confused for the moment.

"The hotel Dad. The redemption project that I have been working towards. I don't know, maybe they think the overpopulation problem is becoming too much to where they have to do the cleanse earlier than normal. Perhaps if they hear this idea, they may push it back again. Perhaps even stop it all together," Charlie explained. She waited for some indication from her dad but got none. She wondered for a moment if her dad was still on the line. "Uh dad? Are you still there?"

"Y-Yes. I am. Charlie...I just...don't think they will be on board with that. Heaven just doesn't like Hell and even if your project worked, even if it did allow someone into Heaven...would they even like that? Perhaps they wouldn't even want someone who was a previous sinner to come to Heaven. I-I-I just don't know if this will work like you think," Lucifer was struggling to find some of the words here.

"But what if it could? As far as I know, nothing like this has even been attempted. Right?" Charlie asked as the guy who has been in Hell since day one would know for sure.

"N-No. No one has even tried to do what you are doing at that hotel," Lucifer admitted.

"So if it works, then they could find themselves on board. Or at least, if they know of the project, they may be on board," Charlie replied.

"Well, how would they even find out about this project? I mean unless you just found a way to magically get a sinner into Heaven. Otherwise, they wouldn't know," Lucifer replied back.

Charlie was waiting for their phone conversation to get to this point, now she could finally ask. "This is...another reason why I called you. I know that you have meetings with representatives from Heaven. I wanted to be able to speak with them to introduce the project, that is a way that I feel like I can get my foot in the door with Heaven."

"Oh. Well. Charlie. I mean...yea, I do speak with them from time to time. But I don't know if you really want to talk with them," Lucifer responded speaking very hesitantly.

"I don't see the harm in it. I have been wanting to talk to them for so long now. Also perhaps I could convince them to move the cleanse back at the very least...or at least find out why they did it in the first place," Charlie replied.

"I mean...I guess there wouldn't be...any harm as you put it," Lucifer replied as now it sounded like he was on the fence about this.

"Exactly. Please, dad, all I'm asking for here is a chance. A chance to speak to them...or just speak to someone from Heaven. A chance is all I want here," Charlie pleaded. She started to become a little nervous that her dad would decline again when he went silent on her. "Dad?" She asked to make sure he was still there.

"You really want to speak with someone?" Lucifer asked again to make sure his daughter truly wanted this.

"Yes! I absolutely do!" Charlie quickly responded with enthusiasm in her voice.

Lucifer let out an audible sigh. "Okay...okay. I'll get someone. Since your project focuses on the cleanses, I'll schedule a meeting with the leader of the Exorcists so you can speak with them. It isn't the higher-ups in Heaven. But it is someone."

"Oh my god YES! Thank you, dad! That is exactly what I needed!" Charlie exclaimed.

"Okay. I'll get it scheduled an hour from now. And...I'll meet you at the Embassy...just to make sure nothing goes wrong," Lucifer replied.

"Okay! I will meet you IN an hour!" Charlie tried her best to keep her excitement but was failing.

"Guess I will see you then," Lucifer spoke.

"See you then!" Charlie replied and hung up the phone. "Holy shit. Okay, okay, Charlie. You have been wanting to speak with Heaven for a long time, you have been wanting to show them this project for a long time. You've got to nail this," she said to herself as her own type of pep talk. She checked the time on her phone. "Okay, I have an hour to get ready and get ready for what I am gonna say. I think this will go great!"

An Hour Later

"Okay. We are here," He announced, which they both knew since they both had stepped foot outside of the embassy before. "Are you still sure you want to do this? You could always turn back?" He was mainly joking with his daughter at this point but in a way, wouldn't be against her wanting to turn back.

"No, no. I am ready. I need to speak with them. Also...I have been interested to see what this place looks like on the inside," Charlie spoke as she once again looked at the exterior of the building.

"Okay. Well, I won't try to say too much if I don't have to. I'll let you take the reigns here. Well...here we go I guess," Lucifer said with uncertainty. He decided to be the gentleman he tried to be and opened the door for his daughter to walk through. She gave him a soft smile as she proceeded through the doors first while he followed behind her. The doors shut behind them and the building was now filled with mostly silence except for the noises their footsteps created. Lucifer ended up walking faster than Charlie did as she spent more time observing the room while he had seen it multiple times before.

"Well...It is...nice in here. Clean...but...very um...empty," Charlie finally spoke after her observations.

"Yes not a lot of visitors in this place. And nowadays Heaven hardly comes to speak with anyone or answer any problems others may have. But we typically generate the exception," Lucifer explained as he walked with his cane in hand.

"Wait. Are you saying they used to?" Charlie asked in a soft tone.

"Oh yes. Long, long, time ago. Before you were born. But things have changed. And, as you can probably guess," Lucifer used his right hand to gesture to the very empty room, "not for the best."

Charlie felt a bit of sadness in her heart after hearing that. From what her dad was implying, it sounded like things used to be more at peace between the realms. "So...what changed?" She had to know this and she figured the man who had been down in Hell since day one would know.

Lucifer let out a small sigh as he walked over to one of the large seating sections in the room and sat himself down before he gave his explanation. "Well...lots of things. If you really think about it, a LOT can change over the course of thousands of years. Believe me, a lot. I suppose a certain factor that came with the changes was Hell itself and the newer inhabitants it was getting. The sinners that started to come into Hell over the years have just been getting worse and WORSE. I mean just terrible, and I think Heaven picked up on that too." Lucifer started to rub his chin before transitioning to his next point. "They had these...giant aspirations for the people of Earth. The humans. And in a way...I did too. I mean I witnessed the species firsthand. I thought they could grow into something bigger, something better than what came before. All of Heaven believed it. But...it really...didn't turn out that way. It seemed that mostly greed, violence, and bloodshed took over for so long. Certain humans didn't care what happened to others, OH NO, certain groups out there only cared for what would benefit them. What would satisfy them, satisfy their urges. They didn't want to come together and unite as an entire species, they just wanted to break off into their own sections leaving others out to dry. If others didn't like or opposed them? You can guarantee more conflict and bloodshed. The barbarism humans are capable of when given freedom is mind-blowing. Do you know how many wars have been fought up there? Too! Many! Things like that will probably not change. I mean shit, look at the sinners we have. Greed, violence, bloodshed? You can find all that and more here. Probably why Heaven thought of a violent alternative to the overpopulation problem. Violence to thwart violence." He ceased his words as he felt like Charlie was becoming saddened by his rambling. He then got up out of his spot an walked over to her where he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Charlie...you have a great heart. And I know you want to try and help these sinners. I just don't know if this all will work out the way you think."

"Maybe...maybe it won't work. But If there is a chance it could work. I have to try. I need to stop this once and for all," Charlie still spoke in a soft voice back to her father.

Lucifer let out a type of breathy chuckle as he did still admire his daughter's drive. "Alright then." He removed his hand from his shoulder and walked over to the main desk in the room. "Here," he directed as he stood next to the golden bell placed on the table. "I'll let you do the honors." He wanted to give Charlie a type of "full embassy experience" by ringing the bell.

Charlie did just that and gave the gold bell a tap which created a loud ding that echoed throughout the room. Charlie was expecting someone to come out and answer it but no one actually did. This left her confused about what happened next. "Soooooo. What now? Oh!" She soon found out what happened next as two scrolls floated in front of Lucifer and herself along with a quill. You could clearly see on the scroll that the bottom of the page was meant for a signature.

"Yea this is some stupid formality that they do. Never really understood the point though," Lucifer said while signing his name at the same time he spoke to Charlie.

His daughter ended up doing the same thing and grabbed the quill out of the air and signed her name at the bottom too. After they both signed, the scrolls disappeared. "Okay," Charlie spoke as she looked around for something else to happen. "What happens now?"

They both watched as one of the doors in the room seemed to open on its own. "That is where we go," Lucifer instructed. He then adjusted his white suit before heading in. "Well this is it. Fair warning, the person you are probably going to speak to is a...well...he's a dick. And that is putting it lightly. I feel like he won't be open to hearing this idea."

"Well, I guess there is only one way to find out," Charlie declared as she proceeded towards the open room.

"Y-Yeah. I guess so," Lucifer said softly. He mainly said it loud enough that only he could hear it as his confidence in his daughter here was not high. Not because he didn't believe in her, he just knew how Heaven was. He eventually began to follow her into the dark room. The doors seemed to close behind them on their own leaving them to the dark room.

"Um. There is no one in here?" Charlie questioned as she was confused.

"Just give it a second," Lucifer replied as he had been through this shindig before.

Adam appeared practically out of nowhere with Lute standing right by his side. He let out a noticeable yawn and looked forward to seeing Lucifer standing once again in his presence. "Well if it ain't just my fucking favorite being in all of creation," he once again was not filled with joy to see the devil himself.

"Adam, old friend, it is just always so nice to see you," Lucifer replied practically feeling the same way about Adam.

"I'm sure it fucking is, getting to see ME is always a pleasure. Oh? Who is this blonde babe you brought with you?" Adam raised an eyebrow at the new demon that graced his presence.

Lucifer let out a type of angry chuckle at that remark. "This is my daughter. So, watch it," he tried his best to not lose his cool at someone visible hitting on his daughter.

"Calm your fucking tits Luci. At least let us introduce ourselves," Adam responded back to Lucifer seemingly unfazed by the king's threat. He turned towards the princess now. "So, what's your name?"

"Hello. I'm Charlie, Princess of Hell. Although I'm assuming you probably knew that," Charlie introduced herself but for some reason felt nervous about meeting someone from Heaven.

"Yea I did, and once the 'oh so big bad King of Hell' said you were his daughter, it wasn't too hard to figure out," Adam responded while pointing a finger at Lucifer.

"R-Right. That would m-make sense," Charlie replied awkwardly. "So what is your name?"

"My name? Well shit, I'm surprised you don't recognize someone as fucking amazing as me! But I guess you have been in Hell your whole life so I'll give you a pass. I'm Adam by the way. No big deal really," Adam introduced himself to her.

"Adam...wait...Adam? Like the first man? Like Adam and Eve?" Charlie asked him three different things that all would associate with the first man.

"Fuck yeah I am, the Adam and Eve part stings a little, but yes. You get the fucking picture," Adam replied.

"Wow. I never expected to meet you. I always kind of wondered what you looked like," Charlie said. And what she was thinking Adam would look like was not this.

"Yea, I know. Probably look better than you expected right? You don't have to answer that, I already know," Adam replied. He then took his focus off Charlie once his eyes gazed upon the devil himself. "So. Lucifer. Been a bit since our last little meeting. Still having fun in this shit hole?" He asked with a grin trying to provoke Lucifer.

"Oh, I am just having the grandest of times. The fact I get to be a whole two realms away from you just brightens my day," Lucifer smiled back as he had his own comebacks for Adam.

"Ouch. Real fucking hurtful there. You know it's real big talk coming from a guy that absolutely nobody in the living world likes in the slightest. Well except for the weird fucks down there but you get the point," Adam rebutted, and by 'weird fucks' he was referring to those who believed in Satanism.

"Look as much as I'd love to go back and forth with creative insults, I'd rather not be here all day. Besides, I didn't come here for myself. My daughter is the one who wanted a chance to speak to you," Lucifer said as he wanted to speed this along.

"Oh does she? Well isn't that sweet? Alright...Charlie was it? What is the reason you wanted to talk to me, besides the fact that you get the opportunity to talk to me," Adam spoke as he directed his full attention to Charlie.

"Well I wanted to focus on the Extermination. I happened to notice that you made it happen a lot sooner than normal," Charlie said as she wanted to know why they did that.

"That's right," Adam quickly replied.

"If I may ask, why did you make the decision to have the cleanse earlier than normal?" Charlie asked as now she felt like she had to outright ask for Adam to understand.

"Ah," Adam then sat himself up a little straighter in his chair after being asked that question. "Well, you see...I just really didn't get as good of a feel from that last extermination. It really felt like we didn't hit our strides and didn't kill enough demons if ya get my drift."

"So you are moving it up because you didn't feel like you killed enough of my people?" Charlie questioned making sure she heard correctly.

"Hmmm," Adam did a bit of thinking for a total of about one singular second. "Yep! That is exactly what the fuck I am saying. So, we decided to make a decision. We didn't just move up this year's cleanse, we also made the decision to have two cleanses a year instead of one. So there will be one in the very middle of the year and one on the last day of the year. You see it just flows better that way. Now personally, I even thought about doing more than just two. But as Lute so smartly pointed out, you would probably run out of fucking sinners by some point, then THAT is no fun am I right?"

"Two?! How can you do two a year after all the demons that get killed after one? No, that is not fun. That is just more senseless carnage in Hell," Charlie debated trying to make someone like Adam feel bad about that.

"I know right? Fucking sweet! But hey, those fuck head sinners aren't the only ones to blame for this decision. You see, maybe we would have gotten our fill of killing had it not been for...I don't know...some apparent green fuck in armor?" Adam was trying to indicate the Slayer with his words, which Lucifer and Charlie both could figure out. "You see...I am not fucking happy to hear about some guy coming out of nowhere and killing dozens of Exorcists. That kind of fucking pisses me off. Well no, it doesn't kind of piss me off, it REALLY pisses me off."

"It really pisses me off too sir," Lute spoke for the first time during this exchange in favor of Adam.

"See? She gets it. Him killing Exorcists made our forces focus less on killing sinners and now on trying to kill him? That lowered our kill count and I am not with that shit. Oh no. That is fucking weak!" Adam continued as he made his point of disapproval very well known by this point.

"But if you're supposed to be Heaven's oh so elite, then why couldn't you kill him?" Lucifer spoke up again wanting to piss Adam off.

"Listen here fuck face, I couldn't tell you. I never even saw the prick during this whole Extermination. If I did see that...well prick, I would have shoved my axe so far down his fucking throat that...well...I don't fucking know. He'd be fucking dead. Look you get what the fuck I am trying to say," Adam's creative side just kept on failing him there. "Look I just know that next cleanse, which is in a few months, we will be looking for him. Isn't that right Lute?"

"That is absolutely right sir," Lute replied as she was in full agreeance with him.

"That is what I want to hear. I want to see that prick and I hope he shows his face out in Hell again," Adam said as he fully had a target in mind.

"Look, what if all of that didn't need to happen? I mean is it really necessary?" Charlie stopped Adam and raised her own question.

"What? Killing the green guy? I mean...yeah? That's kind of what I was getting at here," Adam replied seeming confused by that question."

"No, no. I mean the violence and bloodshed as a whole. What if violence didn't need to happen anymore?' Charlie finally decided to raise the other option.

Adam was confused about that random question. The way he saw it, he didn't know how violence wouldn't happen. "And what the hell do you mean by that? What do you mean that violence wouldn't need to happen anymore?"

Charlie stood up from her chair. "I am talking about a brand new hotel that I have started down in Hell." She made several pages spawn in front of her. The first page she held up was a drawing of the Hazbin Hotel. "You see, my hotel, the Hazbin Hotel, was created to help demons. It is a way for them to get a second chance. They come to the hotel for a chance at redemption. If they push themselves to better themselves, they can then join you in Heaven without all the need for violence and constant carnage. Thus, it would be a peaceful way to solve the overpopulation problem."

Adam let out a few small laughs at the idea. "Are you fucking serious?" He then looked over at Lucifer. "Mr. Devil, is this the type of idea you are letting your daughter come up with?"

Lucifer became annoyed at Adam and the fact that Adam was blatantly making fun of his daughter. So, while he didn't have full faith that his daughter's idea would work, he didn't want to seem like he was on Adam's side. So he spoke up and said, "My daughter is quite the creative person. You know, I don't see anything wrong with trying the idea. I think you may be afraid of it actually working and you no longer being able to come down here for your little cleanses."

"W-WHAT? Me? Pfft! As fucking if. That idea will not fucking work. Do you not see how shitty the sinners are down here? First off, we do not want those cunts up in Heaven, and second, if we 'allowed' sinners into Heaven, who the hell are we gonna slaughter down here? Like where is the fun in that?" Adam rebutted. He practically took Lucifer's response as a joke.

"But that is the point of this project. To avoid all this senseless slaughter. To give those a second chance to be better than what they are now. Everyone deserves a second chance wouldn't you agree?" Charlie directed this philosophical question to Adam.

"Fuck no! Look here sweetie, those sinners that you find down there in your little...shit hole is because they fucked up, they screwed the pooch. They had their chances when they were alive. But nope. They decided to fuck up and now they are down in Hell. Perhaps they shouldn't have gone ahead and made those mistakes. Cause now, they will be stuck down there forever, unless of course, we kill them. Between you and me, I know what option I'm gunning for," Adam said as he crossed his fingers to indicate he was hoping to kill more sinners.

"But is that really fair? I mean nobody is perfect. Everyone makes a mistake. But, how we come back from that mistake is really what matters," Charlie replied.

"Is that right? Well, I wouldn't know about making mistakes," Adam shrugged his shoulders as he stood by that comment.

"Is that so? Well I can think of a couple of women you've made mistakes with," Lucifer once again opening his mouth to take a shot at Adam.

"At least people love me! You being Mr. Short Devil over there? Who in the fuck likes you?" Adam grinned back thinking he had the upper hand again.

"Clearly both of your wives," Lucifer quickly responded back.

"Oh go FUCK yourself you little bitch!" Adam exclaimed as he had lost that argument.

"OKAY! Okay. This is getting a bit off track. I wanted this to be focused on my redemption project. Whether you say you haven't made any mistakes, others have. I mean why shouldn't we provide them with the chance of bettering themselves and joining you in Heaven if they put in the time, effort, and commitment?" Charlie said trying to reel everyone back to the hotel.

"Because why would we even want those sorry sacks of shit? Sweetie, I know you've been in Hell all your life, and that sucks major balls, but all those humans on Earth know you only get one life. One fucking chance. And if you don't fuck up, you end up here in Heaven where it's sweet. If you do fuck up, which clearly too many of your little sinners do, they end up in Hell FOREVER. So sorry, I see you just want to be Mrs. Saves Everyone From A Gruesome Death, but that just ain't gonna happen," Adam replied as he wanted no part of this idea.

"Do you know it's forever?" Charlie questioned trying to make him think.

"Uh. Yeah? Wherever you end up after you kick the fucking bucket is forever," Adam responded quickly without giving it another thought.

"But is that absolutely true?" Charlie questioned again.

"Y-Yeah? Look what kind of fucking point are you trying to get here?" Adam responded again but really didn't know 100% if it was forever.

"You don't sound like you absolutely know for sure. Wouldn't you want to try this idea to see if it could work?" Charlie asked hoping if she was getting through to them.

"No," Lute quickly replied.

"Fuck no!" Adam also quickly replied.

"Look, little Princess, I think you need to get it through your head that the Sinners of Hell do not deserve any kind of pardon, any kind of second chance," Lute spoke as she approached Charlie. "Hell-born will never be welcomed into Heaven and will never get into Heaven. Get that through your head." She said coldly. Lute may have gotten closer to her had it not been for the cold glare she caught from Lucifer standing behind her. She gave him a cold glare back but did back off and walked back towards Adam as an Exorcist taking on the strongest being in Hell would not end well for Lute. As much as she'd think it would end well for her.

"But you don't want to even try?" Charlie was now becoming a bit more desperate for them to see her vision.

"Hell no! Look, if this is the only reason you wanted this meeting, then I think we should end this here and stop wasting more of our time," Adam announced as this was becoming boring to him.

"I agree. We do not want to waste more of our time listening to some little pipe dream of yours," Lute added.

"But-" Charlie tried to say until she was cut off again.

"Nope. Sorry there Princess but like we said, those sinners of yours are stuck there forever. Sucks to suck as they say. So if you don't mind, we'll get back to waiting in anticipation to kill those fucks in just a few months. Bye-bye," Adam waved as he and Lute disappeared from the room.

"No, wait!" Charlie tried to get them to stay but it didn't work as they were already gone. Charlie let out a frustrated groan and then a "Damnit!" She turned around in defeat opened the doors to the room and proceeded down the lobby area.

Lucifer let out a small sigh. He wondered if he should have said more there. He kind of wondered if he should have shown more that he was on his daughter's side. But after some thinking, he proceeded after her out of the building.

Charlie was the first to exit the building while being filled with mild frustration and stress knowing that this early cleanse would happen. And to make matters worse, she now figured out that Adam and his Exorcists were going to come down to Hell twice a year to slaughter her people. That was not what she wanted to hear. She sat herself down on the steps going up to the embassy. In all honestly, she thought that whoever she was going to meet from Heaven would have been more understanding and more on board for a compromise. But now she sees what her dad kept on trying to warn her about. She figured that her dad was right about Heaven being more open to working with Hell. She wished she could have seen those days.

Lucifer could easily see that his daughter was not happy with how it went. So, he would try to calm her down. "Come on kiddo, let's go for a walk," he held his hand out to her to help her off the stairs. His daughter accepted his hand and grabbed it. She stood up and walked down to the bottom of the steps with her father and then started on their walk. "Well, I know that wasn't the outcome you were hoping for."

"This is so shitty. They decide to move the cleanse up, only to find out they are now doing a cleanse twice a year. My hotel isn't in full swing like I'd hoped at this point. And clearly...Adam doesn't want to listen," Charlie replied as she started to pace in a furious manner.

"Unfortunately for you, that is just the way Adam is. Heaven just isn't open to new ideas. And besides, he is so focused on wanting to come down and kill all these sinners. He would never want another alternative option," Lucifer replied while making a good point.

Charlie took the words her father said and molded them into something new. Not into more anger, but into a type of determination. And after getting to meet Adam, and frankly, finding him incredibly annoying, this seemed like a good place to go. "You're right Dad. I guess he wouldn't want the plan to solve Hell's overpopulation problem to change. And frankly, we don't have the true evidence at this point. If we can show Heaven that sinners in Hell can change, we could get the rest of them to be on board. And I'm not talking about Adam, I'm talking about even higher than him."

"You want to try and go higher than Adam? Charlie, I don't know if the high-arching angels of Heaven will understand either," Lucifer claimed.

"Maybe, maybe not. But perhaps if I did have evidence behind me, it could change some minds. Seeing to believing is a real thing," Charlie said, at this point, it seemed as if her mood was shifting now.

"Well, look at you becoming real philosophical," Lucifer couldn't help but let out a small smile.

"I try," Charlie smiled back. "I still believe that what I have at the hotel could work. And I believe in not just myself and the project, but the others I have around me at the hotel. While some are not there for the redemption part of it, they still are helping me with this dream."

Lucifer practically had a light bulb form in his head once she mentioned the members she had at the hotel. One in particular was coming to mind. It brought up another good point to talk about. "And speaking...of those at that hotel. I wanted to discuss something else. I wanted to talk about that...human again."

Charlie had an idea of what this was going to be about. "Dad I know you still don't care for him, but he's really not that bad. Sure his personality is different than many but I know there is a good side to him."

Lucifer let out a small sigh as Charlie did seem to trust the man which in a way, was starting to make him gain trust in him too. But he still had things to say. "Well, you do seem to find the good in people. But...I am still hesitant when it comes to him. He seems like a really dangerous person. I have learned things about him that others do not know. Some of them are...quite big."

Charlie practically did a double take to what her dad just said. "Wait, hold on. You...know more...about him? Like how much more do you know I have really been wanting to know!"

"Well...okay...I'm going to need you to keep...an open mind here. Some of what I may say may sound crazy. But it is apparently true," Lucifer said as he was preparing for this to not sound insane.

Charlie looked at her father with a peculiar look, "Okay? You can tell me what you know. I promise to not think you are a crazy person."

"From what I have learned, he really is a dangerous being. I mean I know you probably have figured out that he has powers or whatever but he could be dangerous. I have been in contact with a...being from his world. And let me tell you this. That man does not come from this Earth. He is from a totally different dimension and he is referred to as the Doom Slayer or Doomguy. I mean there are a bunch of other nicknames but those ones are the main ones," Lucifer began to recollect the things he learned from The Father, the logs, and the testaments.

"Wait, really!? He is from a different world? That is crazy! I didn't think other worlds actually existed," Charlie exclaimed, she didn't know what to make of that, but it was cool for her to know that other worlds do exist. "So he is referred to as Doom Slayer or Doomguy. I think I do remember hearing the Doom Slayer title in those logs from long ago, but not Doomguy. I guess I'll start using those names for now when speaking to him." Charlie then started to think about what useful knowledge her dad held and the things she wanted to know about Doomguy. She still wanted to help him and knowing more of his backstory could help with that. "So. What else do you know about him?"

"Well...his dimension...sounds like it's in really...really...really rough shape. It sounds like it's all gone to shit there," Lucifer replied, although it was more of a vague description.

"How so?" Charlie questioned as she really wondered what her dad was going to say next.

"Well...it sounds like his world is sorta similar to ours. The dimension possesses an Earth, a Heaven, and a Hell. But, Hell in that world is nothing like this. That Hell seems like the type of Hell that those devoted Christians would imagine. Hell in that dimension is said to contain powerful monsters. Demons of course. But they aren't like the sinners, or the Hellborn, or any other type of demons you would find here. They are said to be mindless monsters that live to slaughter and destroy anything in their path. Like the monsters you'd see in horror movies. I was told that these...demons destroyed entire worlds, and killed every single thing in their path. No matter what anyone did, they couldn't stop them. The Earth dimension in that world was laid to waste by those demons. They destroyed everything and killed most of the humans on Earth," Lucifer explained. He was remembering details from his conversation with The Father quite well so far.

"Oh my god," Charlie spoke as that sounded like a nightmare come true.

"And for this...Doom Slayer. Apparently, he lost everything to these creatures. If I had to guess. Any family or friends he had were all killed by these creatures. Because of this, he has been fighting back against these creatures for an extremely long amount of time and it seemed like he was the only one strong enough to do so. I suppose he holds so much power that I couldn't even begin to guess," While Lucifer was explaining and processing what he was saying out loud, he was wondering he if was being too hard on the Slayer himself. That really did sound like a lot of heavy shit. And if it was true, it would explain why the human acted the way he did.

"My god...that...that is awful," Charlie didn't know how to react to that new information. "No wonder why he's so angry. He lost everyone he ever cared about. Holy shit! Those scars! That's what they are all from. Those...demons. It all makes sense. I knew it. I knew there had to be something that was causing him all this pain," she almost felt like tearing up after thinking about if she had to go through something similar to that. She then had a type of revelation herself. "Those logs! Now those are making sense too. What that woman was talking about."

"Yes it all seemed to tie together," Lucifer added as the context of those logs did make a lot more sense after speaking with the Father.

"But dad...how did you possibly figure this out? I know there is no way he would have told you all this as we can barely get him to speak as it is," Charlie questioned as this was some pretty big information.

"Alright, this is where I might sound crazy but hear me out. There was this...spirit or some type of being that I have spoken with. He called himself The Father and he was said to come from that same world. He showed me these testaments that had messages written about this Doom Slayer. He explained some of the things that I am telling you now. I know it sounds made up but I assure you, I am not crazy," Lucifer did his best to explain it.

"I guess months ago it would sound crazy. But I can believe it after all this," Charlie replied. They both proceeded to walk without speaking for a bit as Charlie did a lot of thinking to herself at that moment. Now, if she truly wanted to try and help the Slayer with his problems, she had an avenue to go off of. "This...could also be a reason he doesn't like to talk. Or at least, all of this that has happened to him could be a leading factor in it."

"That could make sense. I suppose I didn't think about things like that after I learned this new information," Lucifer replied.

"Why do you dislike him so much? I mean I know he was this new being, but, you seemed to distrust him more than others to come before him," Charlie questioned. She figured now she could get a true answer from him.

Lucifer started to think of the words he wanted to say in response and finally found some to settle on. "Well. I guess at first I was mostly...confused on who he was. I mean I heard some human came into the realm and didn't believe it in the slightest. But then again, I just expected to find some typical human, but that is not at all what I found. Seeing a very abnormal human wearing a suit of armor already drew some concern. Then when he refused to answer any question of why he was here or even how he got here. I didn't know what to think of him. Then he just kept going back on everything I told him not to do, so he clearly didn't fear me and would listen to what I said. Then I learned all this new information and learned about the power he held. Hearing that some killing machine like that, who apparently hated demons, made me distrust him even more. I didn't know if he was going to just go on a massive murder spree where he just destroyed this entire realm. I had that to think about and then I figured out he was staying with you put fear into my heart. I didn't know if he would kill you or try to hurt you one day. I always feared that day would come. But...maybe...maybe it won't. You do really seem to trust him."

"I do. While he may be very emotionless, he still has not tried to intentionally hurt anyone at the hotel and has even came to our protection at times too. I would bet that he was probably a good man before all this happened to him. I just hope one day he could return back to who he was before," Charlie explained.

Lucifer looked upon his daughter and found that a small smile came to his face. "Alright, alright. If you do seem to trust him so much...then I guess I could keep a more open mind when around him."

"I'm glad to hear that," Charlie said as that was something that she kept in the back of her mind. She started to pick up on the fact that they had been walking for awhile now, and due to there constant walking, they were getting closer and closer to the hotel. "So...dad. Since we are kind of close...did you want to stop by the hotel? I really haven't given you the full tour. And the last time you were there, you didn't stay for that long cause you were focused on...well, on him."

"Oh. Well. I guess we are close to that place," Lucifer started to examine the area around them and it did seem familiar to him. "Alright, alright. I guess I can stop by for a bit."

Charlie was happy to hear that, especially after her dad agreeing to set up a meeting between her and members of Heaven. While that did not go quite how she hoped, he at least seemed like he was opening up more to her dream. "Great. I could also show you the rest of gang at the hotel."

"Oh. I suppose I haven't met them. Well, not all of them I guess," Lucifer said as he knew about Doomguy and also Alastor.

The talking once again stopped as they proceeded to get closer and closer to the hotel. They had walked far enough to where they were at the base of the hotel's property. Now they were walking up the large pathway to get to the hotel doors.

"Dad...I wanted to thank you for setting that up and coming with me. I know it didn't go like I hoped, and perhaps you aren't a big fan of this idea...but thanks," Charlie spoke as she realized she hadn't thanked him yet.

Lucifer thought about what his daughter said. He realized that he kind of showed resentment to the project when it was first introduced to him, and even when his daughter called him he was still trying to steer her away from it. Perhaps his mood would start to change towards it. His daughter was the most important person in the world to him. Maybe a part of him did want her to succeed. And he wouldn't be mad if she ended up sticking it to Adam and the rest of them. "You're welcome Charlie. And yes, I know I haven't shown full support to this project of yours...but maybe you could change my mind to on it as well."

"Oh?" Charlie said with excitement. "Well I think I could manage that. Come on in!" She said as they were by the doors now. Charlie opened the doors for her dad and announced to the others that she had returned. "Hey everyone. I'm back. And my dad is stopping by for an official visit to the hotel!"

Niffty let out a small shriek at seeing Lucifer. "Charlie! You didn't give me a chance to clean up the hotel! It's so FLITHY in here," she exclaimed, even though the hotel looked quite clean.

"Oh nonsense Niffty, the place looks great! Wouldn't you say so, dad?" Charlie asked in order to try and make Niffty feel better.

"Well...it certainly looks...newer. Not as run down as I remember. Although there are a few...interesting additions," Lucifer tried to think of the best way he could describe the hotel while not trying to hurt any feelings, but mainly his daughter's feelings.

"Oh look who's back again. And this time it doesn't seem like he's freaking out this time," Alastor appeared next to Lucifer and was referencing when the king came to the hotel the first time.

"Ha ha HA! Very funny! You know I forgot how much of a kindred spirit you are," Lucifer replied giving Alastor a type of pissed-off smile.

"Indeed I am. So, are you actually here for a visit or are you just spying on the human again?" Alastor questioned as he remembered how threatened he felt about the Slayer.

"No I am not here for anything like that. Charlie seems to have full trust in him, so perhaps I may start to trust him as well. Sorry to spoil any FUN of yours," Lucifer replied. His grin towards Alastor caused Alastor to become a little annoyed as that was no fun. He would have liked to see a battle between the Slayer and Lucifer. "So Charlie. I see you have a collection of other friends here. Why don't you show me who they are?" He wanted an excuse to get out of this conversation with Alastor.

"Oh right. So, behind the bar is of course Husk, our bartender. Then there is Angel, and Sir Pentious sitting over by him. Niffty is the hotel's housemaid, and I can guess that you and Alastor are already acquainted," Charlie said as she was giving introductions.

"I guess that is one way to put it," Lucifer said as he glanced over at Alastor who still had a grin on his face.

"We are missing one member. Hey where is-?" Charlie was about to ask where Vaggie was until she made herself known.

"Charlie!" Vaggie said as she came down the stairs and walked over to her.

"Hey Vaggie. Sorry, I kind of left out of nowhere. I was hoping you saw my text," Charlie replied.

"Yea I did. You went to the Embassy with your- oh...well hello, Your Highness," Vaggie spoke as she noticed Lucifer standing near Charlie.

"Hello. Who is she, Charlie?" Lucifer asked as she was the only member of the hotel he had not been introduced to.

"This is my girlfriend Vaggie," Charlie spoke as she held her girlfriend's hand.

"G-Girlfriend? O-Oh wow, that is interesting. It seems like we Morningstar's have good taste in women right?" Lucifer said trying not to make it as awkward as possible as that was something he did not know as the only person he remembered his daughter dating was Seviathan.

"Y-Yeah. It is nice to really meet you," Vaggie said.

"Y-Yes it is," Lucifer tried sticking his hand out to shake her hand but then wasn't sure if she should hug her or shake her hand so then it came into some more awkward moments of either person not knowing whether to hug or shake the other person's hand. It ended up with them both exchanging a bad hug.

"Well that wasn't sad to watch," Husk said over to the others at the bar which caused Angel to chuckle.

Vaggie then focused her attention back on Charlie after that weird exchange was over. "So uh Charlie. I did read your text. You went to talk to Heaven about the hotel with your dad. How did that go?"

"Unfortunately not very well. I met Adam, the first man and I think the leader of the Exorcists," Charlie answered.

"O-Oh Adam? That is interesting. So how did that go?" Vaggie asked again.

"Not well. They were not interested in the idea at all, in fact, they were...very against it. They wanted no part of it," Charlie replied with a less happy tone.

"That sucks. Did they even say why they even moved the cleanse up?" Vaggie asked a new question now.

"Yes. And they didn't just move the cleanse up, they are now making it two cleanses a year instead of one. One in the middle of the year and one at the very end," Charlie answered.

"What the fuck?" Angel questioned as he heard that. "Why the hell are they doing two cleanses a year?"

"Yessss. That is preposterous!" Sir Pentious added.

"According to them, there are a few reasons. One is just them wanting to kill more sinners in a less amount of time. The other is...well...it involves...Doomguy," Charlie explained. The name Doomguy confused the others as no one had called him that yet.

"Doomguy?" Angel questioned. "Are you talking about muscles over here?"

"Yes, I am. That is another one of his nicknames. But, they are not happy with all the Angels he killed and they do not think they were able to kill as much as they wanted to because of that," Charlie explained.

"Well, that's a shitty fuckin reason," Husk spoke.

"Exactly! If they are so pissed about getting killed by him, then maybe they should have done a better job at killing him," Angel added.

"Well, that's kinda what I said to him too," Lucifer spoke. It looked like he and Angel were thinking on the same wavelength.

"Let me get this straight. So because they lost Exorcists in the cleanse for the very first time to a human, they are going to punish the demons of Hell by adding another cleanse?" Vaggie asked as this seemed pretty stupid and a tad unfair.

"That seems like the quickest way to put it," Charlie said with a shrug. "But. Maybe this could be a better way to attract sinners to the hotel. Not that I wanted this to be the reason for it but clearly people of Hell are scared and freaking out about this. If they know about this being an alternative, it could drive more attention to this place."

"That's...actually a really good point. That could be a good point to go off of," Vaggie agreed.

"I really think so. We are going to need more marketing for the hotel now," Charlie said trying to think of new ideas.

"How about, if you don't want to have to get slaughtered twice a year, come to the Hazbin Hotel," Angel suggested, but the suggestion wasn't really serious.

"Okay, well, I love the suggestion, but that gives off the vibe that we are just trying to install...um...fear into them and banking off the decision of Heaven to do two cleanses a year," Charlie replied trying to seem open to Angel's suggestion.

"Well Princess, sometimes the right cards just fall right onto your plate. And at times like that, you'd be stupid not to play em," Husk spoke while adding a type of card saying.

"Oooh good one," Angel replied seeming very impressed by it.

"Well, I um," Charlie tried to think of what to say to that. Husk did make a good point with that.

"Charlie my dear I think I have to agree with our bartender. You see, previous attempts to market the hotel do not seem to be reaching their expected quota. But the sudden changes to the cleanse schedule will drive more desperation for safety. It really should be something you should move on to," Alastor said after not speaking for a while.

"I guess that is another...fair point," Charlie replied. She started to do some thinking to herself but didn't have much time as she was pulled out of her own thoughts by the sound of a voice.

"H-Hello?" A new voice came through the doors of the hotel. A pretty female demon that was unknown to all the others at the hotel.

"Hm. Someone who actually decided not to knock for once," Angel pointed out which was correct. For a hotel, demons sure liked to knock on the door. Except Blitzo, who thought it best to kick the door down.

"I-I believe I am in the right place...right?" The demon asked for clarification.

"Were you...were you looking for the Hazbin Hotel?!" Charlie asked trying not to seem too excited as she did not want to count out the possibility that she was looking for somewhere else.

"Yes. I was," the demon replied.

"Then you are absolutely in the right place," Alastor said as he planted his cane on the ground.

"Well, I am so happy to hear that!" Charlie left her dad's side and walked towards the new demon. "Hello, I'm Charlie Morningstar! Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel," she greeted with a happy smile and a joyful attitude to follow.

"It is nice to meet you," the demon answered. "You are the Princess right?"

"Yes, I am. And this is my father," Charlie replied and figured she should point out that her father, the King of Hell was here to make it obvious she was the Princess.

"O-Oh! Hello, your highness. I didn't think I'd ever see you in person," the demon said as she never had seen Lucifer before.

"I suppose on certain occasions I like to make an appearance," Lucifer spoke as he didn't interact much with the demons of Hell these days.

"Rarely, but I suppose he does," Alastor spoke up which made Lucifer have an annoyed look on his face. "So madam, what can we assist you with at the hotel on this fine day?"

"I heard this hotel was...different than others. It is a hotel meant to...help others?" The strange demon questioned making sure she wasn't sounding crazy.

"You heard right! The Hazbin Hotel is meant to help others on a better path of healing and redemption," Charlie explained.

"I have heard about that. Is it true that this place can get you into Heaven?" The demon questioned and she looked interested to find out.

"Well. We still are trying to find that out. But we have not had the biggest margin of demons to choose from so far. We think it's possible, but we are not completely sure," Vaggie answered and made it sound the best she could.

"I think I have had enough of Hell for one lifetime," the demon said as she really did hate Hell.

"Damn, she said she hates your fucking kingdom. That must sting don't it?" Angel said making a joke to Lucifer and having some fun with the new demon.

"Funny. Real funny," Lucifer replied as he did not find it amusing.

"Oh shit. I am so sorry. I did not mean it like that," the demon pleaded as she felt like she was going to feel Lucifer's wrath in some way, and due to the fact he was the strongest demon in Hell, she could only imagine what that was like.

"None taken," Lucifer replied. He also felt like he would rather not be in Hell some days and didn't want to scare off any potential demons for Charlie's hotel.

"I meant it more like...I would be willing to try. And maybe stay here. If that would be fine," the demon asked although feeling like she was somehow going to be rejected. But that was far from the case. In fact, some were quite surprised to hear her say that

"Wait what?" Lucifer questioned as he did not expect someone to actually want to redeem themselves.

Charlie felt a wave of excitement hit her. A demon came to the hotel and wanted to stay, a demon who truly wanted to change themselves for the better. She went up and grabbed one of the demon's hands. "That is amazing to hear. You are absolutely welcome to the hotel. You have made a great decision today in wanting to better yourself and move towards the path of redemption. Oh! And by the way, I never got your name?"

The demon smiled back at her and didn't realize that she had never said her name. "My name...is Bricella."
