(Third-Person POV)
*It was evening at the house belonging to Dex. Who was currently in his room, working on healing GutsMan*
Dex: Don't worry, your gonna be fully armed again in just a minute. Get it? Fully armed?
GutsMan: Guts. Guts. Guts. Very funny. Dex, hurry!
Dex: Where's your sense of humor, Bucket Head? Soon as you're patched up, we're challenging Lan and Gwen to a rematch. Next time, we'll pummel those puny little piles of pixels. What are their names? MicroMan and Pipsqueak?
GutsMan: No, they're Dawn and MegaMan.
Dex: Whatever. Anyway, they're never beating us again. *just then, he heard a noise behind him. he looked & a black robot cat came out of a pile of magazines. he looked be back at his computer & saw that GutsMan's arm was almost completely fixed* All right! Here it comes!
Dex & GutsMan: Yes!
*GutsMan's arm was fixed*
Dex: Hope you're both ready, Lan and Gwen!
GutsMan: To get beat by GutsMan!
*They both laughed. Suddenly, the robot cat short-circuited. Dex stopped laughing & looked back at it. It hissed at him & bared it's fangs. Dex got scared*
Dex: A vampire cat!
*He screamed*
(Gwen's POV)
*It's already been a whole day since Lan & I got Dawn & MegaMan. We were currently at the hospital, visiting Dex, who had gotten hurt last night. When we got there, Dex was lying in bed with his leg suspended in the air*
Dex: Thanks for coming, now please go home. Visiting hours are over and I need my sleep.
Gwen: It's only three o'clock in the afternoon. Gutsman send us an email saying you were hurt or something. We just wanted to make sure that you're alright.
GutsMan: GutsMan make boo-boo an -
*Dex slammed down his P.E.T.*
Dex: There's nothing wrong. I'm absolutely fine.
Lan: Oh really, then why is your leg up in the air? *he grabbed Dex's sheet* What are you hiding?
Dex: No! Please don't!
*Lan lifted up the sheet*
Lan: Peek-a . . . Boo?
*Maylu & I gasped. We then held in our incoming giggles. Lan just burst out laughing. A black robotic cat had attached itself to Dex's leg*
Dex: It isn't funny! Stop laughing! I'm so embarrassed!
*He started crying*
Maylu: I'm sorry Dex, we don't mean to laugh at you it's just that . . .
*She looked again & burst out laughing*
Gwen: Did that toy cat make you a cat toy?
Dex: That dumb thing is no toy, it's actually a high tech rat trapping machine.
Lan: Well dude, It looks like you got your money's worth. The little monster bagged him self a big one.
Dex: I'm gonna bag YOU . . . Well as soon as I get this rotten thing off of me! Where are you going!?
*Lan went up to Maylu & put an arm around her shoulders*
Lan: Since you don't want any visitors I guess Gwen, Maylu, and I will go off and maybe sing some karaoke.
Dex: What!?
*Maylu gave a mischievous smile*
Maylu: Here's something to sing about.
*She stepped on his foot, twisted her foot into it, & then elbowed him in the stomach. He fell to his knees in pain. Maylu left the room*
Gwen: You were kinda asking for that.
Dex: Nice singing, Lan!
*He laughed. Just then, the strap holding his leg in the air broke and his leg hit the bed, hard. He screamed in pain. I giggled again*
*After we left the hospital, we to visit a flower shop, belonging to a friend of ours named Sal (a woman with green hair, light tan skin, green eyes & wearing a brown headband, a blue & white shirt, a brown belt, brown pants, & brown moccasins). We sat at a table drinking some herbal tea she made us while she fixed some flower arrangements*
Sal: So how's Dex feeling? I heard that something bit him.
Lan: Yeah, poor Cat will never be the same. *he laughed* We checked on him today. He's fine, he's just being a baby.
*He drank his tea, but made a disgusted noise at the taste. Maylu & I both giggled & sniffed our tea*
Maylu: Thanks for the tea, Sal. It tastes good as it smells.
Gwen: Yeah. Don't you agree, Lan?
Sal: Glad you like it guys. There's plenty help yourselves to seconds if you want more.
Maylu: I will.
Gwen: Me too.
Roll: Hey, Maylu. I'm concerned about that Robo-Rat-Trap that attacked Dex.
Maylu: Hmm. It is kind of weird. You think World Three has something to do with it?
Dawn: I hope not.
Gwen: I wouldn't put it past them.
Lan: What is this World Three? who are they anyway?
Maylu: Are you serious? Please tell me your joking?
MegaMan: Lan has no idea. He doesn't follow currents events.
*Lan glared at him*
Lan: Thanks a lot I didn't ask for your help.
*Sal came up to us*
Sal: It is important that you know Lan. World Three's mission is to disrupt and take over the cyber matrixs.
Lan: But how do they plan to do that?
Sal: They plant viruses in the network, causing those cyber fires we had before. But don't worry as long as we stay alert, I'm sure we'll figure out a way to deal with them.
Woman:*off-screen* Umm...excuse me?
Sal: Oh I'm sorry I'll be right there. *she left to help the customer* Hello. How can I help you?
Lan: Hmm. World 3 sounds like trouble.
Gwen: No kidding.
*After we left Sal's shop, we headed down the street. Just then, we heard a familiar voice behind us*
Maysa:*off-screen* Bless my filet-a-soul, look who's walking.
*He whistled & stopped his bike in front of us*
Lan: Hi Masya.
Maysa: I bet you three came from another silly net battle.
Gwen: Actually, we just came from the hospital.
Maysa: The hospital! I told ya all to eat more fish and get your calcium, and I knew this was gonna happen!
Maylu: No, no, we're fine. It's Dex who's in the hospital.
Maysa: Oh no. Then Dex didn't get enough calcium.
Maylu: Maysa, Dex's problem doesn't have anything to do with calcium. You see -
Maysa: He's a big kid. *we all looked at each other in indifference* If his bones are getting weak then he could be develop Osteoporosis! He could be in serious trouble here! This is a bonafide emergency! It's time for a Maysa fresh fish intervention. *he turned his bike around & pedaled fast* I'm coming, Dex!
Lan: I don't think it will help!
Gwen: Hey, Maysa! You'll find him at DenTech Hospital!
Maysa: Don't forget to eat your fish! Gotta get that calcium now!
*We looked at each other with indifference again*
Lan: He's not listening. His ears must be full of calcium.
*Maylu & I both nodded. Just then, Maylu noticed something*
Maylu: That looks like Ms. Mari.
*We looked where she was looking & saw Ms. Mari standing in front of a store across the street, looking nervous. She looked around & went inside*
Lan: Yeah. That is her. Let's go say hi.
Gwen: Okay.
*We crossed the street, looked in the store window, & saw it was full of old furniture, paintings, & pottery. Ms. Mari was sitting in front of a woman with dark turquoise hair in braids with rings at the end, pale skin, purple eyes & wearing a black & purple hat with a picture of a skull on it, a black, white, & purple dress, black tights, & purple boots. She had a crystal ball in front of her*
Lan: Whoa. Look at all those antiques.
Maylu: That explains why she looked nervous.
Lan: What? Why would a lady like Ms. Mari be nervous be nervous about antique shopping?
*I sighed*
Gwen: That's not what she's doing.
Maylu: Gwen's right. That lady Ms. Mari's with us a fortune teller. Her name is Miyu. And they say that she can predict the future.
Lan: Wow. That's cool.
*We went inside*
Gwen: Hi, Ms. Mari!
*She turned & looked at us. She then blushed & looked away*
(Third-Person POV)
Ms. Mari:*whispering* What are Lan, Gwen, and Maylu doing here? This is so embarrassing.
(Gwen's POV)
Lan: Ms. Mari. You don't seem to be the kind of person who'd believe in this stuff.
Ms. Mari: Well, actually this is my first time.
Maylu: Me too. *she went up to Miyu* I've always wanted to have my fortune read. Could you please?
*I joined her*
Gwen: Mine too?
*Lan was right behind me*
Lan: Hey, can you really predict the future?
Miyu: I need silence. *she was quiet for a few seconds & then she spoke* Water.
Gwen, Lan, Maylu, & Ms. Mari: Water?
Miyu: I am seeing a sudden rush of flowing water. Like a flood.
Lan: Are you sure? I don't see anything but that giant marble.
*She looked at me & Lan*
Miyu: I am seeing you two.
Lan: Us? In there? Nice try, I still don't believe you. *I elbowed him in the arm* OW!
Gwen: Don't be rude.
Miyu: I am seeing your NetNavis at well
*That got my attention*
Gwen: Dawn and MegaMan?
Lan: What do they have to do with anything?
Miyu: You must be very careful, Lan and Gwen. All four of you.
*Suddenly, we heard a scream outside.
Dex:*off-screen* OW! Get off! Get off of me!
*We went out & found Dex on the ground with a white robot dog biting into his leg along with the black cat, that was still attached*
Gwen, Lan, & Maylu: Dex, what happened?
Ms. Mari: Oh my goodness!
Dex: Let go of me you canned canine!
*He was able to get shake the dog off his leg. I went to check on him*
Gwen: You sure have a way with animals.
Dex: I feel like a human chew toy!
*Just then, we heard another scream. This time it was Ms. Mari. The dog had jumped at her, but missed. It caught her bag & ran off*
Ms. Mari: That dog just stole my handbag!
Lan: Don't worry! We'll get it! Right, Gwen!
Gwen: Right!
*Lan & I slipped on our roller skates & went after the dog*
Maylu: Right behind you!
*She followed us on her scooter. We all stayed right behind the dog*
Lan: Slow down, you metal mutt!
Maylu: Oh no! He's getting away!
Gwen: He's heading for the subway!
*We followed the dog down the escalator. He entered a train that was getting ready to leave. We swiped our train passes & got on the train just before the doors closed. We then stopped to catch our breath as the train took off. We walked through the train until we found the dog*
Lan: There he is.
*He went up to the dog*
Maylu: Careful.
*He bent down & touched the dog. But instead of biting him, it nuzzled into his hand. I breathed a sigh of relief*
Lan: He's friendly now.
*He took the bag from the dog*
Maylu: I wonder if a World Three virus did this too him. *suddenly, we all felt the train jolt* Oh no! What's happening!?
*We looked up & saw the speed of the train was increasing*
Gwen: We're going way too fast! *in her mind* The train's out of control!
*The passengers went up to the front of car*
Passenger #1: The driver's fainted!
Passenger #2: And the door's jammed!
Passenger #3: Does anybody know how to stop this thing!?
*Lan grabbed a fire extinguisher & ran up to the door*
Lan: Watch out! Coming through!
*He threw the fire extinguisher at the window, breaking the glass. The passengers moved the Conductor out of the control room & Lan sat at the driver's seat. Maylu & I stood on either side of him*
Maylu: This thing looks pretty complicated, Lan.
Computer: ATTENTION. MAXIMUM SPEED EXCEEDED. COLLISION IMMINENT.
*We looked up & saw a train heading towards us*
Lan: Hold on! It's about to get ugly!
*We closed our eyes, awaiting the impact. After a few seconds, we didn't feel anything. We opened our eyes & saw that we had avoided the train just in time. We all sighed in relief*
Gwen: We're not out of the woods yet.
MegaMan: Hey Lan, Gwen, you're running out of track fast, better let me and Dawn help. Jack us into the train's computer. We can find the problem. You with me, Dawn?
Dawn: Always.
Lan: Good idea. We can do that, huh?
Gwen: Alright! We're counting you guys!
*We pulled the retractable cords out of our P. .
Lan: Let's do it! Jack in! MegaMan! Power up!
Gwen: Jack in! Dawn! Power up!
*We plugged our cords into the terminal*
(Dawn's POV)
*When we arrived at the train's computer system, we found the train's NetNavis surrounded by electrical viruses. They tried to fight back, but were hit by the viruses electric attacks & fell to the ground. MegaMan hit the viruses with his Mega Buster & I got them with my Angel Feather Barrage*
(Third-Person POV)
*Mr. Wily was watching the battle from an unknown location*
Mr. Wily: Who are these annoying NetNavis? Count Zap! I need you! *a man with dirty blonde, pale skin, blue eyes & wearing headphones, a brown & yellow suite, & brown shoes appeared on a screen* I don't care what it takes! Delete the blue & purple pests!
Count Zap: It'll be my pleasure.
(Dawn's POV)
*After we deleted all the viruses, we went to check on the train's NetNavis*
MegaMan: Train Control, are you able to get up?
Train Control: No. Disabled.
Dawn: Oh no. You poor things.
(Gwen's POV)
*MegaMan & Dawn told us everything they found out*
Maylu: A computer virus did all this?
Lan: So, if the train's control program is down, the viruses are driving this thing.
Gwen: Then how do we stop?
MegaMan: It won't be easy, guys. We have a plan, but we're going to need your help to pull it off.
Dawn: You have to move all the passengers to the second car as quickly as you can.
Lan: No problem.
Gwen: Then what?
MegaMan: We'll tell you when you get there. You gotta hurry, guys! We're running out of time!
Dawn: And out of tracks!
*We all looked confused, but took the cords out of the terminal*
Lan: Okay. Let's do this.
Gwen: Right.
*We quickly got all the passengers to the second car*
Lan: Okay, MegaMan. Everybody's moved to the second car. Now what?
MegaMan: You've gotta separate the first car from the second. Once your free, the second car should glide to a natural stop. Find the release mechanism and unlock it.
Lan: Release mechanism. Got it! No problem.
*We went in between the two cars. I pointed to a panel on the floor*
Gwen: It should be here.
*Lan opened the top*
(Dawn's POV)
*We just deleted the final two viruses when suddenly, we were hit by a lightning bolt & screamed in pain. We then fell to our knees. Just then, a male NetNavi with gray skin with lightning bolts on his cheeks, red eyes, & wearing dark grey, yellow, grey, & gold armor with four electrical surges on his back appeared behind us*
ElecMan: Hey, kids, I'm afraid you've both gone too far.
*We both turned to face him. MegaMan pushed my behind him*
Dawn: So it's you . . . You're the one who caused the train to lose control . . .
ElecMan: That's right. The name's ElecMan and I am here to delete you.
MegaMan: Dream on, Sparky.
(Gwen's POV)
*Lan & I both pulled on the release mechanism, but it was stuck*
Lan: This dumb thing won't budge.
Gwen: Keep trying. Dawn and MegaMan are counting on us.
*Just then, I heard a weak voice coming from the second car*
Train Conductor: Safety switches on both sides of the cuffing.
Maylu: Look on the sides. There should be safety switches.
Lan: I think I see them. Okay. Got it.*he looked at me* You take one side, I'll take the other.
Gwen: Right. Here going nothing.
*We each opened a panel & switched the safety off. Lan the pulled on the release mechanism & cars came lose. But I was still on the first car, which was leaving without my brother*
Lan: No! Not yet!
*He jumped on to the car, but slipped. He fell to the floor & his feet were dangling out the open doorway*
Gwen: Lan!
Maylu: Hold on! *the robot dog jumped on board the train car with us. the second car skidded to a stop, while we kept going* Lan! Gwen!
(Dawn's POV)
*My brother & I were currently battling ElecMan. But so far, it wasn't going well. MegaMan tried to hit him with his Mega Buster & I tried to hit him with Angel Feather Barrage, but he kept disappearing & reappearing*
MegaMan: What's this guy made of?
Dawn: What do we do!?
ElecMan:*off-screen* Nice try.
*He touched both of our shoulders & zapped us. We screamed in pain*
(Gwen's POV)
*The dog & I both pulled on Lan's sleeves, trying keep him from falling off the train*
Gwen: Pull harder, dog!
*Lan then grabbed the release mechanism & pulled himself in until he was safe. I sighed in relief & let go. The dog nuzzled his face*
Lan: Thanks. I owe you one, Pup
Gwen: We both do.
(Dawn's POV)
*We both got knocked back by an attack from ElecMan*
(Third-Person POV)
*In an unknown location, Count Zap was playing his electric guitar*
Count Zap: Toast those twerps! Oh yeah!
(Dawn's POV)
ElecMan: Electric Blaze!
*A ball of electricity appeared right over us. MegaMan held me close as a giant thunderbolt came down towards us*
Lan & Gwen:*off-screen* Barrier Battle, Chip in! Download!
*Two barriers appeared over us, protecting us from the thunderbolt*
ElecMan: What happened!?
Dawn: Lan! Gwen!
MegaMan: Yeah! Right on time!
Lan:*off-screen* Sorry we left you guys hanging so long. Now let's short circuit him!
Gwen:*off-screen* Angel Arrow Battle, Chip in! Download!
*A purple bow & arrow with a pink heart at the end (look up "Angel Bow & Arrow" by "SwanGirl24" on *DeviantArt") appeared in my hands. I aimed the arrow & fired. It hit him in the chest, knocking buim back a bit, but he stayed on his feet*
Lan:*off-screen* Now rewire this Sparkplug! Cyber Sword, Battle Chip in! Download!
*MegaMan's hand turned into a sword. ElecMan smirked & his hand turned into an electric sword. MegaMan charged at him. ElecMan raised his sword when MegaMan got close enough & sliced*
ElecMan: Nasty little Navi, say so long to your system *he looked at me* You're next, girly.
MegaMan: Nice try. My Cyber Sword's quicker than you think.
*The ends of ElecMan's electrical surges had been sliced off*
(Third-Person POV)
Count Zap: ElecMan! Log out!
(Dawn's POV)
ElecMan: You two may have won this battle, but I'll be back.
*He disappeared*
ELECMAN LOGGING OUT!
*I sighed in relief & went to my brother*
Dawn: Are you alright?
MegaMan: I'm fine. He barley grazed me.
(Gwen's POV)
Lan: We did it! Oh yeah! That was like, Mega Amazing!
*Suddenly, an alarm went off*
Gwen: Uh, Lan. Don't celebrate yet!
*The screen was flashing "End Point"*
Lan: I forgot about that! How are we gonna get out of this!?
MegaMan:*off-screen* Okay. The viruses are gone, you should be able to activate the emergency break now! Which to manual!
Gwen: We're on it!
*I switch the train to manual*
Dawn: Alright! Now pull the brakes! And hang on tight!
*Lan pulled on the breaks, hard. I held on to the back of the chair. The controls were beginning short circuit as we got closer to the end. Lan then moved the train sideways to help it slow down. Soon, the train stopped, just inches away from the end. We then both left the control room, feel exhausted. Suddenly, a group of Firemen entered the train*
Fireman: Clear! Douse the console!
Fireman #2: Yes, sir!
*They fired big jets of water at us, putting out the smoke in the control room. When they stopped, Lan lay on the floor & I was on my knees, coughing*
MegaMan: Hey, Lan, Gwen, guess what it came true!
Lan: What came true?
MegaMan: The fortune teller from the shop. Don't you remember?
Gwen: Oh yeah! Miyu predicted there would be a rush of flowing water in our future!
Dawn: Yes! And she was right! Isn't that amazing!?
Gwen: So, Lan, you impressed?
Lan: Yeah, I'm impressed! That we didn't drown!
(Third-Person POV)
Mr. Wily: Who are these blue and purple bothers who keeps taking down my NetNavis? Perhaps I underestimated them after all.
(Gwen's POV)
*We excited the subway & we both sneezed. Just then, a taxi pulled up & Maylu jumped out*
Maylu: Lan! Gwen! Oh, you're alright!
*She hugged Lan, making him blush. I smiled at them. I totally ship these two*
Lan: Yeah, Maylu. We're fine.
*Dex & Ms. Mari came out next*
Ms. Mari: You two are quite the heroes. I'm proud of you.
Dex: Lan and Gwen are so great. Big deal! Hey, heroes! I could have done it too, you know!
*The robot dog then growled & bit his leg again. He screamed in pain*
