Location: Jujutsu Academy

It wasn't until the next morning that a meeting was called. Jaune was watching around the table, seeing all the members of Team RWBY and Maki sitting there plus himself. Qrow was sitting at the end of the table as Gojo stood beside him with his stoic expression making it clear that he took this matter very seriously.

In the time he had spent in the Prison Realm, Jaune hadn't been aware of how deep Gojo's vendetta had taken him. Yang had filled him in last night that Gojo had become obsessed with finding and killing Vecna for killing Yuta, so much so that he had neglected his other duties including trying to save him and Kara from that realm.

Jaune was mad at Gojo, he had been for a long time, but even at this moment he couldn't fully blame him, apparently Yuta was like a son to him. He imagined if this had happened to Kara, he would've properly done the same.

"Uhum" Gojo coughed in order to get everyone's attention. Once their attention was on him he spoke clearly and precisely.

"Yesterday evening Qrow here found out some disturbing news which you all know by now. Megumi and Power….have vanished. Only this was found," he said as he placed the broken portal device on the chamber "from the little data we could have recovered from it, it appears it was used last night, this means that wherever they are, they are most likely safe, but without this device they are essentially stranded and we don't know where."

It was silent as he finished speaking, and for a few seconds said silence lingered until Maki broke it by asking.

"Do we have any idea what could've happened to them. I mean those two are very capable of holding their own so what could've compelled them to suddenly jump worlds."

Qrow stood up from his chair "we don't know. I didn't see any signs of a struggle aside from their abandoned car. Whatever it was, if it was anything at all, it spooked the living daylights out of them very quickly."

"Can't you just repair the device and track them down that way?" Weiss blurted out.

Gojo and Qrow gave each other a glance before the former spoke up, saying:

"Unfortunately we didn't make this device, the technology was created by someone else."

"Then call that person up and have them repair it" Yang said.

Qrow sighed "Yang unfortunately it's not that easy. The person in question doesn't live on this world."

Everyone understood what he meant and they were satisfied with that answer. But the lingering question in the room was asked once more by Maki.

"So why did you call all of us here sensei Gojo?"

Gojo placed his hands behind his back "we are currently all that remains of our little Initiative and we all have different missions to attend to. Concerning the seriousness of our current situation I have hence decided to make you all honoree members and allow you to help us out officially on missions."

The group expected Gojo to expect an applause for this announcement. But the man remained stoic and almost emotionally distanced from the everything.

"Qrow and I have discussed our current course of action and we have something. When we call your name please stand up."

Gojo then placed his hand on the table and it was a note with a set of combinations and then said "Maki, Yang, Blake. You will travel to the world listed on here. On there you will find the creator of the portal devices. Do what you must to get them to repair the device."

Maki, Yang and Blake stood up and nodded. With Maki leading the charge in walking over and retrieving the note.

"I have arranged for a trusted ally to guide you through there. Just make sure you get that thing repaired as fast as possible" Gojo instructed. Maki nodded.

Gojo then returned his gaze towards the remaining three seated.

"Weiss, Ruby I'm charging you two with going back to your own world."

"Our world. Why?" Weiss asked while she and Ruby gave each other a confused look.

"I have been in regular contact with General Ironwood. And for a few weeks now he has been holding an associate of the Collective captive. I want you to retrieve this person and get him here so we can interrogate and potentially strike a deal with him."

"Wait a minute," Weiss said as she stood up "I thought this was about saving Megumi and Power. Why are we send on a retrieval mission?"

"Because miss ice queen, we don't know if the Collective was involved in their disappearance. They haven't shown up since that faithful day and maybe we can get some valuable information out of this person. So either you accept the mission or you stay put here until further notice."

There was no goofiness in his statement, just pure matter of fact and direct instructions. Weiss huffed but nonetheless pulled Ruby along with her to receive the details of their mission.

This left Jaune sitting there alone.

"Uhm…what about me. What mission am I taking part in?" he asked.

Gojo shot him a dispassionate glare, one though obscured by his blindfold, Jaune could still feel the distrust behind the eye covering.

"You are not partaking in any mission. You're staying put here!"

Jaune stood up without thinking while muttering a "what…."

"You're staying here. There is no mission for you" Gojo reiterated.

"That's unfair. Why of all of us does he need to stay here!" Weiss said defensively.

"I don't care if it's unfair. I'm in charge here and he's staying put" Gojo said as he walked past her, not even bothering to look at her.

Jaune walked over and intercepted Gojo before he could go any further.

"Hold on just a minute! Why am I the only one getting benched?"

"I will not be arguing with you over this, my decision is final!"

"Well I don't give a damn about your decision. It's unfair and you are in no position to decline help at this point. Just look around you, we are all you have left currently so you have no reason to lose out on manpower."

"You're staying put end of decision" Gojo replied, beginning to walk past Jaune.

The young Huntsmen was incensed, Weiss walked over to him, placing a hand on his shoulder trying to comfort him. But he simply turned around and shouted at Gojo.

"THIS ISN'T WHAT YUTA WOULD'VE WANTED!"

Gojo stopped in his tracks. The room fell completely silent, even Qrow was now beginning to look slightly worried. Jaune watched as the white haired men clenched its fist and he slowly turned around.

He took slow steps forward, an aura almost flared up around him as he walked over to Jaune, before he stood still less then a meter in front of him.

"Don't you dare say his name…don't you dare bring him into this. Yuta was a good and honest fighter and upstanding young man! Quite unlike you who not only has been stirring up trouble the moment you and your daughter walked into this place, causing the Collective to target us! But also opened that prison realm that should've remained closed!"

"Why do you even care!" Jaune countered "you are the most powerful being in the multiverse. Even if something escaped out of that place you could blow it to smithereens within a matter of seconds! So why care if something gets out! What in that place are you so afraid off!"

Gojo's fist glowed and he lunged, but instead of hitting Jaune he hit the table besides him, which obliterated into rubble the instant he touched it.

"I'm not afraid of anybody!" he shouted at Jaune.

At this point Weiss pulled Jaune back to create some distance between him and the clearly angry Gojo.

"Everyone you know your assignments. Arc you stay put or I'm going to make you wish you never got out of that prison realm."

With that Gojo angrily walked off and out of the room, leaving everyone in bewilderment.
