Incensed and fuming Jaune walked out of the conference room walking straight for the staircase.

"Jaune wait!"

He stopped and turned his head as he saw Weiss ran towards him "Jaune wait…I know you're angry but please don't…"

"Don't what Weiss?" Jaune said angrily "don't do anything rash! I'm well aware Weiss I'm not that same reckless boy from Beacon anymore!."

Weiss lowered her eyes and took a step forward up the stairs and calmly and slowly placed her hand on Jaune's "I know. You have matured so much. Being a father has changed you and I know that you are no longer that reckless and stumbling young man you once where. But that doesn't mean that I don't worry about you and…and our little girl…"

Jaune's anger slowly mellowed out and he sighed audibly.

"Look I'm sorry about my outburst, I know it wasn't right but Gojo is just getting on my nerves."

"And you're anger towards him is completely justified. He's been…pardon my language a complete ass towards you from the start and I don't know what goes on in that self-righteous head of his to single you out at this moment."

Jaune briefly shook his head upon hearing Weiss of all people swear, it was nothing short of a surreal moment.

"He's been on my case since the moment Kara and me came back from that prison realm."

"What happened in there?" Weiss asked.

Jaune sighed again. His experience in the prison realm felt almost like a fever dream he had ages ago, yet it was only a day ago that he was still trapped there in a place beyond time and space, encountering some of the most powerful beings he had never thought imaginable.

"I can't explain it properly…it's just…we were trapped in there…met what we thought was a kind talking wolf."

"A talking wolf?" Weiss asked raising an eyebrow.

"Weiss we've traveled across multiple worlds and I've fathered a child with an alternate version of you. A talking wolf shouldn't be that surprising."

Weiss wanted to respond but instead simply shut her mouth and allowed Jaune to continue his story.

"Well we met a talking wolf. I was kidnapped by this women called the Control Devil who wanted me to sacrifice myself to open the way out of this place. Kara saved me, turns out she's a Maiden, anyway the wolf turned out to be not so friendly, tried attacking us. Then the Shredder tried to lunge at us, but accidently got vaporized and that's how we got out and we're back here…"

Jaune took a deep breath after telling the entire story while Weiss looked at him with a dumbfound expression, unsure on whether or not she would believe his story. And in Jaune's mind it did sound like the ramblings of a man who had long since lost his marbles.

"Okay…that was…quite something…" Weiss finally answered.

"Yeah that's the understatement of the century…but yeah since I came back Gojo has been on my case more so then usual and I don't know why."

Weiss places her hand under her chin, Jaune saw she was thinking about what he said "I did notice something. His reaction to when you asked him what he was afraid off…the way his body tensed up. Maybe he was scared of something in that place?"

Jaune did a double take. From the moment he met Gojo he had been told one singular thing. He was one of, if not the most powerful being in the vast multiverse, even Thanos, the feared leader of the Collective was no match for him. So the very thought that Gojo was scared of anything was almost laughable to him.

"Weiss this is Gojo, why would someone as powerful as him be scared?"

Weiss caressed the side of his face "he may be powerful, but he is also only human. Maybe whatever was in that prison realm was just as powerful as him and it scared him. Maybe something to consider."

She pulled him closer, sealing his lips with a tender and soft kiss. Jaune melted away at her touch and allowed himself to get briefly lost in the soft tender feeling of her lips on his.

When they parted Weiss looked at him lovingly "I have to go for now. Make sure our little girl isn't alone okay?"

Jaune solemnly nodded. Weiss smiled and hesitantly turned around and walked off ready for her mission, leaving Jaune to ponder the question she posed. What could it have been in that prison realm that Gojo could've been afraid off, so afraid that he didn't want to risk opening it to get an innocent soul out…

A/N: Hello everyone, I know the chapters have been relatively short and uneventful. I won't beat around the bush, it's not going well, I've had some pretty devastating news in our family and it's hitting me quite hard and my motivation is kind of lacking. I will try and update as much as I can but it's kind of difficult and I don't know how to deal with it. So my apologies in advance for the slower updates.
