Chapter No. 2: The Sudden Call

*Somewhere Else in the USA*

Date: Still Unknown

Time: 2:58

Location: USA - New York City -.

As the white Mercedes car cruised through the bustling streets of New York City, two individuals sat inside. The first was a blonde-haired woman with rounded glasses, dressed in a white sweater, a light brown trench coat, and long brown jeans. Her name was Jodie, and she exuded an air of intelligence and determination. Beside her sat Camel, a burly man with brown hair, narrow eyes, and a strong presence. He wore a dark green uniform and a long black coat, clearly indicating his affiliation with the FBI.

In the midst of their drive, Jodie leaned towards Camel and spoke in Japanese, her voice filled with concern. "Have you heard about the missing FBI agent, Camel?"

Camel nodded, his eyes focused on the road ahead. "Yes, I have. But I don't know much. I've only heard that the missing agent is highly skilled and professional. Do you know him, Jodie-san?"

Jodie nodded, her gaze drifting out the window. "Yes, I do. His name is Ali. The FBI claimed he took a week-long vacation, but it's been three weeks now, and he hasn't returned."

Camel furrowed his brow, a sense of unease settling over him. "That is indeed strange. What could have happened to him?"

Jodie took a sip of her coffee, her thoughts clouded with worry. "I'm not sure. The FBI hasn't provided any further information. They simply stated that he had an 'emergency issue' to attend to and left without disclosing his whereabouts. It's unlike Ali to keep secrets from us."

Silence enveloped the car as they continued their journey. Jodie's gaze lingered on the cloudy sky, her mind drifting to the elusive Black Organization. It had been a while since she, along with the FBI, had received any leads on their whereabouts. The memory of Vermouth, the assassin who had killed Jodie's father, weighed heavily on her heart.

"Looks like it might rain," Jodie mused, her voice tinged with fatigue. It was their turn for the night shift and being in New York City meant dealing with its bustling crowds and notorious traffic jams. She sighed, her gaze fixed on the world outside the car window.

Camel, ever observant, glanced at Jodie before focusing back on the road. "Yes, it does. Rainy weather always reminds me of Edward-san. He's fond of it, you know," he remarked casually, reaching for his phone and handing it to Jodie.

Jodie's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she accepted the phone. "Edward-san? You mean Ali-kun?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.

Camel shook his head, a puzzled expression on his face. "No, I thought his name was Edward Armstrong. Is he the same missing agent we're talking about?"

Jodie's eyes widened as realization dawned on her. "Ah, I see the confusion. Edward Armstrong is the name he uses in public. His real name is Ali. He's the one who disappeared."

Camel's curiosity grew, and he glanced at Jodie, awaiting further explanation. "So, where did he go? Why did he leave without a trace?"

Jodie shook her head, her voice tinged with worry. "I don't know. He didn't disclose anything to us. He simply vanished, instructing the FBI management to keep it a secret. It's unlike him to hide anything. It's as if he's become more mysterious, or perhaps... darker."

Camel's mind raced with a multitude of possibilities as he pondered Jodie's words. Could Akai-san, their close friend, hold any knowledge about Ali's disappearance? Perhaps he could shed some light on the mystery that surrounded their missing comrade. With a flicker of hope in her eyes, Jodie confirmed that she had indeed spoken to Akai-san but to no avail. As much as they were left in the dark, so was Akai-san.

As the car continued its journey through the bustling city streets, Jodie and Camel found themselves immersed in a sea of unanswered questions. The fate of Ali, their fellow agent, remained shrouded in uncertainty, and the ever-looming presence of the Black Organization only intensified their concerns.

"I don't believe Ali-kun confided in Shu," Jodie mused, her thoughts drifting to their enigmatic friend. "But let's reach out to him anyway. He might have some insight."

With a sense of urgency, Jodie reached into her pocket to retrieve her phone, only for it to start ringing in her hand. The caller ID displayed James Black's name, causing a tinge of curiosity to stir within her.

"Who's calling?" Camel inquired, his eyes focused on the road ahead.

"It's James-san," Jodie replied, her voice taking on an American accent. "That's peculiar," she thought to herself before answering the call. "Hello, Mr. James."

The sound of James's voice reached her ears, slightly hoarse and fatigued. In the background, the faint sirens of police cars and ambulances could be heard, adding an air of urgency to the conversation.

"Jodie, where are you?" James asked, his voice filled with urgency.

Jodie exchanged a quick glance with Camel before responding, "We're currently on the night shift with Camel."

"I need both of you to leave your positions immediately and come to me," James commanded. "I'll send you the location right away."

"Understood," Jodie replied, her mind racing with a multitude of questions. She glanced at her phone to find the location notification, which read 'Presbyterian Hospital, New York.' "It's not far from here; we'll arrive shortly," she assured Camel, who nodded in agreement.

Curiosity and concern filled Jodie's voice as she spoke into the phone, "What happened, Mr. James?"

A sense of urgency and weariness laced James's response. "It's about Ali... We found him. I'll provide you with all the details once you both arrive. It's not something I can discuss over the phone," he explained hurriedly before abruptly ending the call.

Jodie and Camel exchanged surprised glances, their hearts pounding with anticipation and worry. With their destination set, Camel pressed down on the gas pedal, accelerating the car as they sped towards the Presbyterian Hospital. The unknown fate of their missing comrade, Ali, and the cryptic message from James only heightened their sense of urgency and determination to uncover the truth.

Date: * sighs* Unknown

Time: 3:06

Location: USA- New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

The white car finally pulled up, its arrival marred by the chaos of police and ambulance vehicles surrounding the area. The driver approached the police officer who blocked their path, only to be met with a firm denial of entry. Unfazed, the driver and their companion revealed their FBI badges, causing the officer to blink in surprise before hastily stepping aside.

"We're from the FBI," the driver, Camel, stated in a strong American accent, flashing his badge. The officer adjusted his glasses and squinted before widening his eyes in recognition.

"Oh... the FBI agents!" he exclaimed, pointing them in the right direction. "They're waiting for you."

"Thank you," Camel replied, and the car continued past the officer, who rubbed his head and yawned.

Navigating through the congested scene of police cars and an ambulance, the Mercedes finally found a parking spot near the hospital. Camel and Jodie stepped out of the car and immediately noticed a pool of blood not far from the hospital's entrance, surrounded by police cars and FBI agents. Among them stood a white-haired, mustached old man wearing an FBI jacket, deep in thought.

"James!" Jodie called out, catching the attention of the old man. He turned towards them and greeted them in Japanese.

"Ah... Jodie-Kun and Camel-Kun, good to see you made it here," James said. "Yeah, but it took us forever to find parking because of the crowd," Jodie replied. Camel asked, "What happened here?" as his eyes fell upon the crime scene.

"Someone attacked Ali-Kun when he arrived at the hospital. Witnesses saw the assailant using a tool to harm him, though they couldn't identify it. They heard a crashing sound and saw Ali trying to defend himself, but he couldn't hold on. He was badly injured and lost a lot of blood," James explained, causing Jodie to cover her mouth in shock and Camel to gape in disbelief.

"Where is he now?" Jodie inquired.

"He's in the surgery room. Come, let's find out more from the doctors," James replied, leading the way into the hospital.

"How did you find out about Ali-Kun being attacked?" Camel asked, his curiosity piqued. "Hm?... Ah, Akai-Kun informed me," James revealed. Jodie and Camel both exclaimed in unison, "Shu did?" and "Akai-San did?" respectively.

"Yes, Akai-Kun was on his way here and discovered Ali-Kun on the brink of death. He arrived just in time to strike the assailant and scare them off. He was about to pursue the criminal, but Ali needed his help, so he brought him to the hospital instead," James explained. "Have they caught the attacker?" Camel inquired.

"No, they haven't found the culprit yet. We're still gathering information, and Akai-Kun is actively searching for them," James replied. With that, two surgical doctors entered the waiting room, their attire indicating their profession.

"Mr. Akai …. What ? where did he go? He was here a moment ago." one of the surgeons exclaimed, glancing around the room and noticing the presence of the FBI agents.

"Mr. Akai has got an emergency case, so he left the place in a hurry. He called me to come here. We're the patient's friends." James explained, extending his hand for a handshake. "My name is James …James Black. The Chef of FBI in Japan. A pleasure to meet you." he introduced himself.

"Martin …...Dr. Arthur Martin. A neurologist. A pleasure to meet you too." one of the surgeons, Martin, replied, shaking James' hand.

"Dr. Tomas Alexander. A bone surgeon. A pleasure to meet you too." The other surgeon, Dr. Tomas Alexander, also introduced himself and shook hands with James.

"How is he, doctor?" James inquired, concern etched on his face. " Well, his right forearm suffered some fractures, but they weren't severe. We did what we could and applied a bandage. He's awake now if you'd like to see him. He's going to be okay, so no need to worry," Dr. Martin reassured them and the agents felt relief from what he said.

"Thank You Doct-"

"WAIT!... NO! HE'S NOT OKAY ...AND WE NEED TO PERFORM A SURGERY RIGHT NOW!" A newcomer burst into the room, interrupting James. The man appeared exhausted, wearing a blue t-shirt and black pants, his brown hair styled in a faux hawk. "What ?!" Said the agents.

"Richard." Martin sighed, recognizing the man.

"Why are you here? … you don't come to the hospital at this time... it's not of your habit." Alexander wondered.

"I wouldn't come if SOMEONE didn't call me and send messages 20 times to come over…..." Richard replied, panting as if he had just run a marathon.

" And who might you be? " James asked, a mix of anger and confusion on his face.

"I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself. I'm a doctor who is trying to save your agent's life."

"What?" James exclaimed, taken aback by the revelation.

"His name is Dr. Richard. He's an M.D. (Medical Doctor.), and he got a lot of certificates – especially an M.A. and doctorate. He has been working in this hospital for quite a while." Alexander clarified.

" And why he's not wearing a Lab coat?" Asked Jodie and the answer came right away. Richard, now realizing his oversight, placed his hand on his forehead. "You reminded me! I totally forgot to bring my lab coat with me! Great!" He muttered in frustration.

"Oh,Right. Listen, Martin. We need to perform surgery Right Now." Richard Repeated his words again but louder this time ignoring what they are talking about. He insisted, his urgency evident.

"It's only a broken arm, Richard." Martin argued, rolling his eyes.

"No, It's not." Richard countered.

"But the doctors did an x-ray, and it showed a broken bone. Nothing else." Alexander chimed in.

"Then care to explain why he can't feel any pain in his forearm? He can't even raise it." Richard pressed, causing the doctors to take notice.

"Don't tell me that you weren't the one who checked the x-ray." Asked Richard looking at the doctors.

"No, we weren't. The doctors said that there is no need to check, but Dr. Adelan insisted on sending the file to us to check again if there was something wrong." Replied Alexander. Richard lowered his head disappointed,

"Did you ask her why?" Asked Richard half concentrating while rubbing his eyes and yawned.

"Yes …she said that she doesn't feel comfortable about the doctors who checked on him…but the patient's file shows that nothing is wrong with it." Answered Martin.

"His Fingers are completely! #$ cold, and soon they will turn to complete black, and you say 'nothing is wrong with it'?" Richard explained trying to keep his temper cool.

" Maybe it's because the bandage is too tight," Alexander suggested.

"Or maybe someone Had faken the arm during the X-ray to make us think that is normally a broken arm and die at the end." Richard proposed, causing the FBI agents to gasp in shock.

"Wait …. Hold on a second …. How?" Martin questioned.

" I don't know the how or why just yet, but we need to act quickly. Time is running out. Come on, we can discuss this later. Let's go," Richard declared, rushing out of the room, followed by the agents.

"Here we come again with the detective role." Martin and Alexander sighed in unison. They hurriedly exited the room, joining the others in their pursuit of the truth.

As the doctors entered Ali's room, they immediately noticed that he was awake. His medium-long, bright brown hair was disheveled, resembling a younger version of the Turkish actor Engin Altan Düzyatan. With his right forearm bandaged, he held a small picture in his left hand, gazing at it with tired, sad, blue eyes. Suddenly, Ali's attention was drawn to the entrance of Richard, the two doctors, and the three agents.

"Ah…. Dr. Richard. Care to explain what's going on? And why did you leave all of sudden?" Ali asked in a British accent, placing the picture on the nearby table. He glanced at the agents and tried to address them, but Richard interrupted him.

"Ali, sorry to cut your talk, but you still can't sense anything, can you?" Richard asked, disregarding Ali's initial question.

"No…I can't…but…" Ali trailed off, squinting his eyes and rubbing them wearily with his left hand. The agents were about to inquire further, but the doctors noticed Ali's rapid breathing and hurried to check on him. Martin ordered an oxygen mask while Alexander examined Ali's bandaged forearm. Suddenly, Alexander exclaimed, "Oh …No…Richard, you have to see this." Richard joined him, witnessing the forearm turning a dark blue, bordering on black. Martin looked from behind after he put the oxygen mask on Ali's face and mumbled, "Oh my goodness.".

They heard Richard mumble then he said, "We need to cut his Forearm." Richard stated, causing James, Jodie, and Camel's eyes to widen in disbelief. Jodie, her eyes filled with worry, questioned, "Can't we explore other options before resorting to amputation?"

"We're too late to save his forearm. The only solution now is to amputate it before it worsens. The sooner we act, the better," Richard explained, surprising Martin and Alexander. It was unusual for Richard to take such a decisive stance. They made a mental note to discuss this later, but for now, their focus had to be on the patient.

"We need to ask Ali first if he agrees or not." Martin suggested, prompting Richard's annoyance. "We don't have time for that. Can't you see he's unconscious?" Richard retorted, leaning against the wall and yawning. Well…. he was wrong this time. Ali remained conscious and heard everything. He slowly opened his eyes and moaned. Alexander was the first one who notices him remaining awake.

"He's awake." Alexander interjected, catching Richard's attention.

"Fine but hurry up." Richard grumbled, rolling his eyes.

"Ali. can you hear me? "Alexander asked gently. Ali nodded slowly." Good…. Ali …listen we need permission to amputate your arm." Said Alexander straight and they saw him staring. Realizing what Alexander said, his eyes widen , and tried to speak but coughed instead. He tried again to talk. This time he managed to talk.

"W…h... y…?"

"Because your gonna die…" said Richard and Martin gave him a look to remain silent. He grumbled and leaned on the wall again.

"Is…n't….th…ere…...another….so…lu..tion….ins…tead…of….amp…utate…it?" Ali asked, his voice hoarse, glancing between the two doctors. Martin remained silent, allowing Alexander to respond but Richard was faster. " Your forearm is turning black, and there's no blood pressure in the blood vessels. If we don't amputate it, the condition will spread and potentially be fatal. We have no other choice. I'm sorry," Alexander explained, his gaze dropping to the floor.

"I…. see…" Ali replied, his gaze shifting downward.

"Ok." Decided Ali and the agents looked at him surprised.

"Are you sure?" Asked Martin.

"O...… Come on!"

"Y..es ... I… am." Confirmed Ali ignoring Richard's complaints.

"All right…..." Said Martin but was cut off by Richard.

"Finally! You have listened to me." Richard remarked.

"…. I will ask the professionals to run some medical examinations so we can perform the surgery," Martin suggested, but Richard had a different plan. No. You won't. This time, you and Alexander will perform the examinations," Richard declared.

"Why?" Martin inquired.

" Because these 'doctors' misdiagnosed Ali's forearm, claiming it was a simple fracture. But the truth is either someone paid them off to overlook his condition, resulting in a 'medical mistake,' or one of these doctors is an imposter. I believe it's time we find out," Richard explained, looking directly at the two doctors standing before him.

"What are you looking at? Prepare the operating room!" Martin and Alexander left to make the necessary arrangements. Richard approached Ali's bedside. "You're so lucky that we noticed that before it's too late." Said Richard. "Am …I?" Ali replied, chuckling.

"I am surprised that you didn't refuse the cure like you usually did Richard remarked, observing Ali closely. "So… you… noticed …." Ali said with a hoarse voice, adjusting his tone to speak clearly. "Of course, I did … everybody did..." Richard replied, causing Ali to glances at the agents surprised.

"Since...When?"

"Since you went to your family on vacation." Jodie interjected, leaving Ali and James astonished. "How did Ms. Starling find out. I am in deep trouble." Thought Ali , quickly shaking this thought away. He needed to focus on his forearm and prepare for the upcoming surgery.

"Wow, I didn't expect that you have a family. I thought you only have your father who disappeared 8 years ago." Richard added,

"Actually 7 years not 8." Jodie corrected him.

"O…Ok." Richard replied.

"Wait ...a ... minute…how …did...you …know?" Asked Ali ,ignoring Richard's comment.

"Your father told me and Jodie a long time ago before he …. You know … went missing…." James explained, causing Ali to smile ,"Heh…That techno-old man." before gritting his teeth, his eyes darkening. He missed his father, but he needed to remain strong, showing no vulnerability, in order to protect his family. His attention returned when James spoke again.

"O …that remind me he also says to keep an eye on you, so you won't do dumb things …. since you were known for being impulsive and reckless." James teased with a mocking smile.

"Please... don't remind me." Ali replied, causing everyone in the room to laugh. Richard chuckled before preparing to leave.

"Wait, Dr. Richard." James called out. Richard stopped and faced the three agents. "What?"

"How did you know about the fake doctors?" James inquired.

"Oh …its …." Richard's phone began to ring, interrupting his response. He quickly pulled out the cellphone, realizing it was from one of the agents.

"O…. Speaking of the Dark Crow."

"Who is the caller?" Asked Camel

"One of your agents."

"Is it Shu?" Asked Jodie and Richard didn't get it.

Richard replied, then comprehension dawned on him. He gave Jodie an incredulous look, as if to say, 'Are you kidding me?'

" Either you're terrible with nicknames or you're trying to keep me on my toes. What's wrong with nicknames these days? " Richard remarked, causing Jodie's face to turn red with suppressed anger. Ali, James, and Camel struggled to stifle their laughter. Richard answered the call before it could escalate further.

Richard answered the phone, speaking loudly to drown out Jodie's comments. "Hello?" he said, then paused.

##Hello Dr. Richard.##

"Hey, I believe you're Mr Akai," he continued, his voice lowering. Jessica appeared in front of him, giving him a questioning look. He shushed her and turned away, allowing her to eavesdrop on the conversation.

##Yes, I am. I am sure Dr Adelan told you about the incident.##Said Akai through the phone. House looked at Jessica who tried to tell them to 'be nice' by a whisper.

"Adelan? Oh …You mean Dr. Jessica Adelan? Yes… Yes …She told me by calling and waking me up from my deep sleep for more than an hour." Akai's voice came through the phone. Richard glanced at Jessica, who rubbed her forehead and chuckled. Richard was secretly pleased with her reaction, as he wanted to get back at her for something. He refocused on the call as he heard Akai laugh.

##Sorry for disturbing you at this time of night, but we need your help.##

"Bring it on. I am all ears." Richard replied confidently.

##There are fake doctors at the hospital.## Akai revealed.

"So…I was right. How did you know about the fake doctors anyway?" Richard asked.

##Their behaviour was weird. I used one of Ali's gadgets to attract any weird device from a far distance. I found a small device in their ears.## Akai explained.

"So, you use one of that levant gadgets. I didn't expect that techno-geek devices will work…." Richard commented.

##Do You know them?##Asked Akai ignoring Richard's comment.

"No …I don't …but I know where are they and what they are doing..." Replied Richard.

##Care to explain how you found out?##

"I kept my eye on him since they entered the hospital. There were deadly mistakes they did while they were 'working' nobody noticed it. Only me and Dr Jessica noticed that. I also saw – like you said - a small device in their ears they use to talk with each other. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy."

##OOH….as expected from Sherlock Holmes.##

"Who is this Sherlock Holmes that everyone keeps comparing me to? Anyway, since you asked for my help, I'll go and get them. We can talk later,"

##You better take the FBI with you.## Akai advised, his voice filled with concern.

"Why should I? "Richard questioned, unsure of the need for additional assistance.

##Because these guys won't surrender themselves easily. Trust me.##

"Aand …Why should I trust you?" Richard pressed, wanting reassurance

##Listen, I don't know why you don't trust the FBI, but my friend is in this incident. So, you have to follow what I say for now. Let the agents help you.## Akai insisted, his tone serious.

"...Fine…"

##Good …I will call you later.## Akai said, ending the conversation.

"Wait …. Where are you now?" Before Richard could ask about Akai's whereabouts, he heard a beeping sound on the other line, indicating an SOS message. Akai abruptly hung up, leaving Richard wondering about the urgency of the situation. "Is that…... "

##I will tell you when I come back.## He said and closed the line.

"Richard …what did I tell you about 'being nice' while talking with others?" Jessica chided, reminding him of their previous conversation.

"I talked 'nicely' with him ….and you saw me, didn't you?" Richard defended himself, mimicking Jessica's quotation marks. Jessica raised an eyebrow skeptically, unconvinced by Richard's response

"O… come...on you saw me …right~?" Richard said in a childish tone, and the agents with a dotted look in their eyes. (A.N: Only DC fans know it.) Jessica, however, kept raising and eyebrow unconvinced by Richard's response. Sensing defeat, Richard sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Fine. I'll admit. "

"Forget it…... for now …. So…. What did he say?" Jessica inquired, wanting to know the details.

"The doctors who checked on Ali were trying to kill him, and they are still in the hospital." Richard shared, entering the room again with Jessica following closely behind. Her hair was black with a cupcake hairstyle and dark brown eyes.

"Do you know where they are now?" Camel asked, eager to take action.

"Yes, I did. He told me to let the agents help me to catch them." Richard replied, realizing the importance of involving the FBI.

"Why did he tell you and not the agents?" Jessica questioned, curious about the reasoning.

"Because I know who and where are they now. We better hurry."

"Fine, but be careful," Jessica warned, concerned for Richard's safety.

"All right…. Jodie …. Camel … bring the other agents and go with me." Richard instructed, determined to apprehend the dangerous doctors. Both of the agents were surprised by the command. The turned to James who said "You heard him. Now you are under his commands."

"Hai!" they both responded in unison before leaving the room, leaving Richard to mutter under his breath about the unexpected turn of events.

"Stop complaining. Richard." Jessica scolded, reminding him to focus on the task at hand.

"Fine!" Richard grumbled, realizing that he needed to set aside his frustrations and concentrate on the mission.

With Richard's departure, Jessica, James, and Ali were left in the room. Ali tried to ignore the excruciating pain in his blackened forearm, while Jessica provided an update on the preparations for the surgery. "Martin and Alexander have prepared the operating room …but you have to do the basic examinations first." Jessica informed Ali.

"Thank you, doctor." Ali expressed his gratitude, rubbing his tired eyes.

"No need to thank us. It's our duty. After all, we owe your father a lot." essica replied, acknowledging the debt they owed to Ali's father. The room fell into a solemn silence as Jessica contemplated the weight of the situation. She gathered her thoughts before addressing Ali, who was waiting for her to speak.

"Are you sure about accepting to do the operation?" Asked Jessica, concerned about Ali's well-being.

"Well…. since there is no other solution other than this …Then the answer is...Yes, I am." Confirmed Ali with a sheepish smile. With a few minutes of silence passing, James cleared his throat, capturing their attention.

"Can you leave us for a moment, please? I need to talk with him about something in private." James requested, seeking a moment alone with Ali.

"O…Sure …" Jessica agreed, understanding the need for privacy. She left the room, leaving James and Ali to converse.

Once they were alone, James switched to speaking in Japanese. "You took more time than you asked for." he said, a hint of concern in his voice.

Ali sighed and replied, "I know…... my apologies about that, but a lot of unexpected events happened when I was about to come back."

"Unexpected events …..." James questioned, his face filled with curiosity. Ali knew he couldn't hide the truth any longer and decided to tell him everything. "Remember the drug trader's case that I finished several months ago?"

James nodded, remembering the case. "Yes, I recall. The drug trader's name was Beart Anderson, the leader of the drug trading gang."

"He ran away from the prison," Ali revealed, causing James to gasp in shock. "What!?..." James exclaimed, "How did he run away?"

"I don't know either..."Paused Ali and explained, "I saw him when I was visiting my family. He attacked my younger brother, Omar, and kidnapped my youngest sister."

"W-What? How did you find out?" James asked, his voice filled with concern.

"I witnessed it firsthand when I was out with my mother for a walk," Ali explained. "I immediately devised a plan and called a friend, who works as a spy, to protect my sister until I could come."

"And what happened after that?" James inquired, his worry evident.

"We managed to execute the plan successfully, but we were attacked due to the ongoing war," Ali continued. "I instructed my sister to hide in the nearest mountain until my older brother and friends could retrieve her. Meanwhile, I went in a different direction."

"Where was your older brother during all of this?" James wondered.

"If you mean Hassan, He was studying medicine in Europe," Ali replied. "As for Omar, he is currently in a coma."

"In a coma? But you said he lost consciousness," James clarified.

"When we found him, he was lying on the ground, bleeding from his head," Ali explained. "He had a deep wound on his back, starting from his left shoulder and ending in the lower right. We barely managed to save him."

"Oh my god... And your sister?" James asked, shocked by the extent of the situation. "She was severely beaten and tortured. It was a close call, but fortunately, Max was able to save her," Ali responded.

"In Syria," Ali added, answering James' unspoken question.

"Do you think this has something to do with the person who attacked you?" James probed further.

I don't know for certain, but it's clear that their main aim is to kill Omar and my sister," Ali disclosed.

"Do you know why?" James inquired, wanting to understand the motive behind the attacks.

"I don't think now is the right time and place to discuss it. Can we talk about it later?" Ali requested. "My family needs to be informed as well."

"You're right," James agreed, realizing the urgency of the situation. He refrained from asking further questions, understanding that Ali needed to focus on the surgery at hand.

James sighed, his gaze shifting towards a table behind Ali. He noticed a small picture resting on it and felt a surge of curiosity. Walking over, he picked up the photo while Ali was lost in thought. Ali noticed James' action but was too late to intervene as James saw the contents of the picture. James was amazed by what he saw.

The photo depicted three individuals with a breathtaking backdrop of the Blue Mosque in Turkey. Ali was smiling in the middle, with a teenage boy to his right. The boy had black hair styled in fringe-up and bright amber eyes. He wore an orange shirt, a black jacket, and black pants. To Ali's left was a girl, possibly around the same age as the boy. Her black hair was tied up in a ponytail, and she was dressed entirely in black, including a black baseball hat, sunglasses, and a black manto (a long coat). Only her smile was visible, and she had an air of mystery, reminiscent of the Black Organization members. James found her presence intriguing.

"Who are these two?" James questioned, holding up the photo.

"They are my younger brother, Omar, and my sister, the youngest member of my family," Ali revealed, his voice tinged with sadness as he spoke about his sister.

"They don't look like siblings," James observed, studying the photo and then looking at Ali.

"Yes, that's because I resemble my grandfather," Ali explained with a grin.

"I see..." James remarked, taking in the new information. "Can I put these two in the witness protection program?"

"Yes, please. The twin brats have seen Beart's face, and he is still free," Ali replied.

Surprised by the revelation, James asked, "Wait, how do you know that?"

"I saw him when he kidnapped my sister," Ali answered. "I couldn't let him escape unnoticed."

"Wait a minute… What?"

"Hm?"

"Are these two twins?"

"Yeah, they are twins."

"Which means that they have the same eye colour?"

"Are there really these types of eye colours?"

"Yes, they are. They took it from my dad." James was amazed. Ali's father ( Kareem) was as mysterious as his sister(Layan). Because they both wear sunglasses. James never saw Ali's father without sunglasses.

".…and also…. I don't want to see them get injured again or be insulted in the case."

Realizing the importance of the situation, James agreed, "Okay, I will inform the FBI and arrange for their protection."

"Thank you, Mr. James. I owe you a lot." Ali expressed his gratitude. Sensing the need to focus on the upcoming surgery, he added, "We can discuss the situation further later. My family needs to be informed as well."

"You're right," James acknowledged, refraining from asking any more questions. He wanted to inquire further, but he understood that Ali needed to concentrate on the surgery. Ali was aware of James' unspoken queries and appreciated his understanding.

As three nurses, along with Jessica, Martin, and Alexander, entered the room, Ali prepared himself for the surgery. Martin addressed him, asking if he was ready, and Ali confirmed that he was. The nurses opened the door wider to move the bed out, and Ali left the room with them, accompanied by Martin. Alexander glanced at Jessica, seeking confirmation.

"Go with them. I won't be late," Jessica reassured him.

"All right," Alexander replied, following the group. James remained in the room, still holding the picture in his hand. For a moment, he forgot that Jessica was still present.

"Is everything okay?" Jessica asked, bringing James' attention back to her.

"Oh, yes, everything's fine," James replied, momentarily distracted.

"Ok …" She gave him a last look and then followed the others. James, on the other hand, wasn't Concentrating. Lost in thought, he yawned, feeling the fatigue from the day's events catching up to him.

He was travelling in his past memories trying to memorize, "I think I saw these two before, but where?" He thought and noticed something is wrong with the picture like someone have written on the other side of it. He flipped the picture and found unknown strange handwriting.

"What is that? It's written in Arabic." He narrowed his eyes trying to understand what have been written.

"Is it a hidden message or something?" He looked at the picture once more before finally placing it in his suit pocket. Suddenly, his phone rang, jolting him out of his reverie.

"Who could be calling? Akai-kun?" James wondered aloud as he answered the call.

"Hello? Akai-kun?" James spoke into the phone,

##James…. did you get any signal? ##Asked Akai through the phone, and James heard a beeping sound on the other end.

"Signal? There is no signal …What signal are you talking about?" James questioned, confused by the mention of a signal.

##Ali's watch 'Watt-1000' has been sending SOS messages. Is Ali with you? ## a voice on the other end of the line asked.

"No, he's not. Dr Martin and the others took him to perform surgery. Where are you now?" James responded, his concern growing.

##I'm in New York City. ## Akai replied.

"If Ali is here, then who is having the watch?" James pondered aloud.

## Most likely, it's his younger sister, Layan. Ali asked me to check if she had gone to her family and given her his manto before they separate.## the voice explained.

" Or it could be one of the criminals Ali arrested before," James suggested, considering all possibilities.

## We'll find out soon. I'm close to the signal now. Just a few steps away. I'll call you later.## Akai spoke this time reassuring James.

"Wait …do you know what she looks like?" James asked, hoping for a description.

##Yeah …provided me with that information, ## Akai confirmed.

"Ok. I count on you." James said, ending the call. He sighed, "I hope things didn't get worse." His steps took him out of the room while His mind drifted back to a conversation he had with Ali before his vacation.

*Flashback*

"Why did I take a vacation?" Ali repeated James' question, a puzzled expression on his face. James had noticed Ali's uncharacteristic behaviour and wanted to understand the reason behind it.

Curiosity getting the better of him, James pressed further, saying "Yeah... You don't usually take time off unless there's something important or if you're sick," James said, his curiosity piqued. It was out of character for him, and James suspected that there was something significant behind Ali's behaviour, particularly since Ali's father had gone missing. James knew there had to be a deeper reason behind it.

"You caught me …. Yes, I actually have an important meeting." Ali confessed, his voice filled with a hint of sadness.

"With whom?" James probed further, sensing that Ali was opening up about something significant.

"My family ..." Ali's voice trailed off, his gaze falling to the ground.

"…Your family?"

"Yeah, I couldn't contact them due to my father's work. They thought that I and my dad were dead 7 years ago…" Ali explained, his face clouded with a mix of sorrow and longing..

"And also…I hadn't heard anything about them since I came here. I miss them so much." His tired gaze turned to James. "Can you keep it a secret? I can't let anybody know about that."

"Yeah… sure…I will…" James assured him, a sense of loyalty and understanding shining through his words.

Ali's expression softened, a grateful smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Thank you, James. I appreciate your support. Besides you, only the FBI management and Akai-San should know about this," he said, emphasizing the need for utmost confidentiality.

" "What about Jodie?" James inquired, wondering if Ali had considered sharing this with their colleague.

Ali chuckled, shaking his head. "No… please don't tell her. If she knows, she won't stop asking me questions about them. Her nosiness about things is quite creepy." he said, a hint of amusement in his voice. Both Ali and James laughed.

"Ok … I will..."

*End of Flashback*

With a renewed sense of hope, James smiled, knowing that everything would eventually fall into place. Lost in his thoughts, he glanced ahead and noticed an approaching agent. Curiosity piqued, James engaged in a brief conversation with the agent before the agent nodded and left the place followed by James.

*End of Flashback*

James smiled when he remembered that. "Everything will be ok." He gave a last glance at the picture and then put it in his suit's pocket. He looked ahead and saw one of the agents coming toward him. They talked for a minute or two. The agent nodded and left the place followed by James.

Akai parked his car discreetly, careful not to draw attention. Stepping out with determination, he swiftly intervened just as the car's back opened, advising, "You don't have to come with me," while slipping his hands into his pockets. The person's unsettling purple eyes locked onto him, questioning his words.

" W̵̢̝͈̊̓̊h̷̨̤̲͎͒̓̾y̸̠̑͠?̵̛̛̪͓̖̠͑̉̕ͅ" The person asked in a hoarse voice, curiosity lacing their words. " I̷̪̓ ̵͎̓̓ă̷̻͖̼m̴̬̘̜̈́̐ ̴͈̕͘ś̷͖͎̯ṷ̷̢̈́̆̑ŕ̶̙͕͝ē̷̘ ̶̛̛͈̺̾͜t̸̺͔͝h̶͎͛̉̚a̴͓̎̍t̶̛̪̭̲͛ ̷̤̄s̴̨̩̞͂̌ḫ̸̌̃̀ͅe̶͎̕ ̵̳̫̳̈̀w̶͖̜̉͝ǐ̶̹̰̑͠l̷͔̤̟̏l̸͖̣̏̉̒ ̷̜̳̣̂r̶̘͔̿͜ȩ̷̛̝͌͆c̸̓ͅǫ̷̖̆g̶̺̒͌n̵̤̉̎i̷̦̺̙̋̃͂z̷̛̦̾ȩ̷̳͋ ̵̢͘m̸̡̗̝̄̓ë̶̦.̵̤͇̍ ̵̘̼̀I̷̙͛ ̸̨̈́͒͒ͅk̷̙̂̏͝n̶̪͓͒̈́͐o̷̲̯͖͑͗w̶̹̥͠ ̸̘̤͔̓h̷͎̩͌̽e̸̝̪̦̍̽r̶̓͒̀͜ ̷̦̀̾b̷̠͒̃̚e̴̡̨̮̋̕t̴̩̰͆̀ͅt̶̟͗͝ė̷͍̚̚r̷̥̃ ̸̝̝̐t̸͉̅̚ḫ̴͇̝́͛â̶̝̫̄̍n̵̝̂̊͊ ̸̡̠̱̐̕á̶̩̝n̷̥͚̈́̑ÿ̸̮́o̸̧̖͎͐n̶̜̦͇̿e̶̟̠̓̀͜.̶̭̹͙́̽ S̴͍̟̬̈h̵̑̃͊ͅͅę̴͕̦̓͝ ̵̥̹̇̇͜n̸̥͓͙̋e̴̹̊e̷͈̼̹͐̒d̸̡̲̮̾́̇s̵̲̹͚̿ ̴̫̰̊̍͋ͅm̸̟̜̔͛̀y̴͙͂̇ ̴̧̧̐͒ḥ̷̦̈́̈ȩ̸͈͈̃l̶̤͒p̷̗̭̔͒̚.̸̪̗͒"

Akai understood the person's concern, but he also knew the imminent danger they would face. "I understand you're worried about her, but if they find out, everyone we care about will be in even greater danger," he explained, his voice filled with emotion. He hoped they would grasp the gravity of the situation.

The person's foot froze mid-step, their gaze meeting Akai's. Their struggle was evident, torn between worry and the potential risks involved.

"You don't want that to happen, do you?" He gently asked, empathy shining in his eyes. Akai and that strange person have the same roles because they worry about their beloved ones. Reluctantly, the person took a deep breath and sighed.

" F̴̙̯̞́̅͜͝i̴̦̅͠n̸̛̫̲͚̪͎̂é̶̢̉." Said the strange person with their anger subsided, trying to Avoid Akai's gaze. His voice was filled with sadness and despair. He retreated back into the car, closing the door behind him. That person was hoping Akai's advice would prove right.

"I'll find her and keep you informed," Akai reassured him, determination in his voice. Pulling up his hood for anonymity, he retrieved a device from his pocket designed to track Watt-1000's location. The screen displayed a blinking red dot deep within the suburbs.

Realizing the dangers of venturing into unfamiliar territory, especially at night, Akai knew he needed to be prepared. "It's not safe to walk here without a gun. Especially in these places. In this case." He reached into his coat, retrieving a silenced gun for self-defence. With cautious steps, he embarked on his mission, fully aware of the lurking hazards that awaited him in the shadows.
