Welcome to the Summer: Part 2

Time is split between our best friends as we work Saturday shifts and do outings around the community, and even more outings in the community on Sundays. This is also a crossover with Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly and Disney Channel sitcom Wizards of Waverly Place. NOTE: I do NOT own any of these shows. Nick, Disney, PBS, and DiC do.

5. Chapter 5

Chapter 5: Renaissance Invitations

One warm first Saturday of August 2024, I met up with my childhood friends Sarah, James, and Henri, along with some of my other best friends Carly Shay and Spencer Puckett, as well as Carly's stepdad, Freddie Benson, at Pittsburgh's Perfect Parties client Hannah Carson's apartment in Point Breeze. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. We jammed out to Kate Bush, NSYNC, and the Pop2Kountdown featuring the year 2002. Once Hannah Carson was done making her invitations, she delivered them to her friends. Afterwards, we headed to Washington's Landing for our scavenger hunt, where our other friends Alex, Justin, and Max met up with us. There was also a craft of making sand art with salt and colored chalk and a choice of chicken nuggets or quesadillas to eat, along with fruit salad, candy bars, and strawberry brownie marshmallow kebabs for snacks. "Do you think that we will win the scavenger hunt, Mr. Benson?" Henri asked. "You have a pretty good chance, Henri," Mr. Benson stated. "Look at the BMW with the license plate from Seattle, Spencer," James pointed out. "That is the exact same BMW that I have." "That is amazing, James," Spencer pointed out. "We did the scavenger hunt even in the rain, Sarah," Carly pointed out. "I just hope that it does not mess up my sand art craft." "I am sure that your craft will be fine, Carly," Sarah stated. We met up with a client named Allison Brawner and her friends and they were on Sarah, James, and Henri's team. "I am eager to win," Allison stated. "The quesadilla and candy bar were both good to eat, and it will prepare my eyes for the scavenger hunt." We even heard a drumline practice in the Strip District. "Ah, the good old sounds of the marching band!" Allison happily stated. "I played bass drum my freshman and sophomore years, and snare drum my junior and senior years." Towards the end of our scavenger hunt, it began to rain. But, the theme for the scavenger hunt was summer and nature. The best part was seeing a rainbow at the end of the scavenger hunt. Sarah, James, and Henri's team won the scavenger hunt once again this year. Once the scavenger hunt was over, it was time for all of us to leave. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
