I'm Alive!
Hi everyone, חust to update as you must have noticed by now.
That I am still posting and uploading stories.
The last year has not been easy at all, there were many things from my side that took away and almost destroyed any motivation or desire to write anything at all. One of the big reasons I was able to get back to all of the writing was because of 'JRC1700's' help. Thank you so much brother!
I also went through all my notes and stories, and I intend to update all of them. Yes, even the ones I haven't updated in a long time. I know you had to wait a long time for some of them and I intend to change that. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the episode and the ones to come after.

Chapter 3: An Interesting Discovery
The white-haired teen had just finished explaining her plan to the female members of Team JNPR, as well as Yang. She took the time to lay out her proposal, making sure the girls would not suss out her true intentions.
"Wait… so… to beat Jaune and his band… you want us to make our own band?" Yang questioned, even more skeptical than she'd been before.
"Yes… did I stutter?" the young heiress repeated in a flat tone, staring at her blonde teammate.
"I mean… it's not a terrible idea… but… Isn't that kind of, I don't know… extreme?" the blonde boxer argued, the others in the room staring at her seemed to agree.
The four girls were currently sitting in the JNPR dorm room, with Weiss on Pyrrha's bed while the rest of the girls sat on Ren and Nora's beds. The heiress refused to sit on that blonde's idiot's bed, or even so much as look at it.
"Is it? I think it's quite the measured response…" the white-haired huntress in training replied, not about to back down.
"Really? Wouldn't it be better just to wait this out?" the blonde girl shot back, glancing at the other girls. "Sure, a bunch of students seemed to like it… but it shouldn't last that long…" Yang explained, her words making sense for once.
Nora and Pyrrha looked at one another, thinking things over. Maybe it was better to let this whole thing blow over, then they could all go back to normal.
"No! If you think for a minute that it will stop at this… you're sorely mistaken!" the heiress declared, no doubt in her tone.
"Weiss Queen, I know you don't really…" Yang tried to find the right words. "…care for Vomit Boy all that much, but come on… you can't expect him to keep this up…" The blonde brawler knew Noodle Boy was as good a guy as they come, it was one of the biggest reasons Yang had let her sister get so close to him. Jaune just wasn't the kind to make a pass at her.
"No, I don't…" Weiss admitted, arms crossed. "But if I can expect anything from him… it is to always find a new way to annoy me…"
"You know… WE'RE still here…" Nora interjected, her tone suspiciously sweet. "If you keep bad-mouthing our fearless leader, I might just have to break your legs…" The ginger girl's smile was a bit strained, promising a lot of pain if her warning went ignored.
Weiss would not back down from her words, but she knew when to change her approach. "All I'm saying is that we need to take care of this, before it grows out of proportion…" she insisted.
"And forming a band will somehow make it better? What will that even accomplish?" Pyrrha questioned, the words of her friend leaving her skeptical of this idea as well.
"For a start, it will make everyone forget about them… proving to them that it was all just a silly, one-hit wonder-" the white-haired Weiss explained, receiving something on her scroll that made her stop cold.
"That still doesn't answer my-" Yang growled, before glancing at the annoyed expression that had settled on her teammate's face. "What's up?"
Weiss simply sighed, pointed her scroll towards the girls, and turned up the volume.
…
"Good evening, Vale! This is Lisa Lavender reporting with the most exciting news we've had lately!" the white-haired woman on the screen shouted. She was sitting inside an improvised studio, a big smile on her face. "I'm here with the newest and most popular person in Vale at the moment! A student of Beacon Academy, a future huntsman dedicated to the protection of our kingdom, Jaune Arc!" Lisa presented; the camera pointed at her zoomed out to show a familiar, blonde teen.
Jaune looked to be his usual dorky, awkward self. He smiled as best he could, considering the spot he was in.
"It's nice to have you on the show Jaune, if I can call you that. Thank you for agreeing to this interview!" the white-haired woman enthused, filling in the silence and taking the spotlight from him (and giving Jaune a moment to compose himself).
"N-No problem!" the blonde teen answered quickly.
Lisa started laughing. "I see someone is a little bit nervous… not used to being in the spotlight, are you?"
"No, not really… this is all still kind of unbelievable."
"And yet you managed to pull off something like this anyway…" the woman teased. A black screen behind her lit up, showing a clip of Jaune and his band during their first performance, Jaune's voice echoed in the studio.
"T-That was-" the blonde huntsman in training stuttered in response.
"I can only guess that it was an attempt to get some VERY lucky girl to notice you… am I right?" the woman turned to him, keeping her smile light and gentle.
Jaune could only nod in response, still having a tough time speaking.
"Well, I'm sure that- with your performance- the message was clear enough for her!" Lisa prodded.
"O-Oh… no, not really?" Jaune tried to laugh it off, scratching the back of his head.
Lisa looked a bit shocked. "You-you mean… she didn't realize it was all for her?" the reported asked, having never expected that answer from him.
"No, she definitely did! …I just don't think that she feels the same way…" Jaune confessed quietly, his smile honest as he looked towards the older woman. "But, that's not anything new… I've been trying to get her to notice me for a really long time!" Jaune exclaimed, his shy demeanor giving way and a big smile blossoming on Jaune's face. "But, I haven't given up yet! Like my dad always says, all you need is a little confidence!"
"And considering your performance earlier, you must have plenty to spare!" Lisa quipped, a smile on her face. "With that kind of response, I wouldn't be surprised if a number of lovely ladies end up falling for you!" the reporter added, smelling a scoop.
Jaune simply shook his head no. "It wouldn't matter to me… Weiss is the one I wrote the song about, my feelings for her aren't about to change. Besides, it's not like I haven't had a girl approach me before…" the blonde teen admitted without really thinking.
"Oh? You mean after your debut?" Lisa wondered. After all, it was hardly unusual for ordinary people to suddenly become infatuated with new celebrities.
"Nah… a few girls already said they wanted to go out with me while I was trying to ask Weiss out…" the blonde teen explained, shrugging. "I just apologized and told them that I liked someone else…"
"O-oh, now this is REALLY interesting!" Lisa exclaimed, her smile and eyes widening. All she could think about was how she could milk this story for everything it was worth. Jaune's eyes suddenly opened wide, the blonde boy shocked by what he'd just let slip.
….
"W-WHAT?!" both Weiss and Pyrrha shrieked. The jumped up from their seats, staring at the screen in shock.
Weiss could not believe that anyone would even give that blonde idiot the time of day- and definitely not ask him out! He HAD to be lying! Wait! That was it! Someone was feeding him lines to say!
The redheaded champion couldn't believe that someone had managed to make a pass at her partner! Especially when she was certain to always be around him!
"I told you so…" Nora piped up from her spot, not really looking all that surprised.
"You told- wait… YOU KNEW!?" Pyrrha yelled in anger.
"Yeah… I mean, I always let you know when I see it happen… But, you and Renny always dismiss it like I'm crazy… Just like that time I sleepwalked into the basement under Beacon…" the orangette declared.
"When did that even happen?" Yang interjected, looking more than a little amused.
"Mmm… like, when Pyrrha is out on her morning jog… or making a call home from the CCT, or during one of her matches against a full team…" Nora rattled off effortlessly, making it pretty clear there had been quite a few times someone had made a pass at Jaune.
Yang whistled, clearly impressed that Vomit Boy even had it in him in the first place.
"This is NOT the time to be impressed!" the redheaded Spartan yelled, she turned her head to her teammate. "Who was it?!"
The bubbly girl looked confused, "who was what?"
"THE ONES WHO ASKED HIM OUT, OBVIOUSLY!" Pyrrha screeched, struggling not to grab her friend and shake her like a can of paint.
"Oh! …why didn't you say so?" Nora chirped with a smile, she put her finger on her chin and took a few seconds to recall. "I think there were a few from our year… those three from second year… and… four more? …from third year…" The girl took another second, before she recalled something. "Oh! Right, there was that all-girl team from Vacuo… Oops, I didn't even think to include all those transfers from other schools too…"
'Damn… Vomit Boy got game!' Yang marveled, her eyes wide open in clear shock. It almost sounded unbelievable, to her he'd always just be Vomit Boy! Maybe she was a bit biased, because he'd thrown up on her shoes their first day?
"Can we get back on topic?" Weiss growled, sounding annoyed, she closed the video on her scroll.
"Yeah! Before Pyrrha goes on a killing spree…" Nora muttered not so quietly.
"I won't kill anyone…" the redhead swore, but failed to deny that she would go and FIND those girls.
"At any rate… now you see my point!" Weiss declared confidently. "If that idi- Arc…" she quickly corrected. "If he can become this popular… more so then he apparently already was… what does it says about the rest of them…" the white-haired girl turned to look at Nora. "Like Ren, for example…" She then looked at Yang. "Or consider Ruby… she did seem pretty angry when you found her listening to Arc, almost embarrassed about it…"
Yang's didn't need to hear another word, her gaze turning far more serious than before. The brawler was no idiot, she could easily connect the dots Weiss had laid out. If her little sister got a crush, then tried to date Jaune… now that was something she didn't want to think about.
Ruby was too young for that!
And, by the looks of it, Pyrrha and Nora were definitely thinking along similar lines…

Jaune had just finished his interview and was looking pretty worried about how he may have come across. After all, this was the first time he'd ever been in the spotlight- and no… their performance in the cafeteria had been too hectic for him to notice anything in the dark.
Knowing that his every word was being recorded and broadcast had left him a tiny bit nervous… So much so, that Jaune had listened to the advice he'd gotten from his new bandmate.
'Just be confident and speak your mind, man!' Neptune had encouraged him, before his interview.
The blonde teen noticed someone moving closer, holding something up to him. "Here you go, Jaune…" offered a beautiful rabbit Faunus.
"Thanks Velvet…" Jaune replied, accepting the water bottle from her. He took a few sips from it, already enjoying how the cool water helped calm his nerves.
"I think you did pretty well out there! Very confident… and I never knew you were SO popular!" the girl enthused with a small smile.
"R-Really? You don't think I sounded like an idiot?" the blonde wondered, taking a few more sips.
"Not at all! I'd NEVER think that!" Velvet declared, smiling sweetly at him. "I believe you already know what I think of you…"
"Oh… r-right…" Jaune stammered, laughing awkwardly. After all, Velvet HAD explained what she thought about him not long ago. It had been a week or two after the whole Cardin fiasco in the cafeteria, the one where Jaune had gotten up in the bully's face about tormenting the girl.
Velvet had thanked him, asking Jaune out to 'hang out' in her own cute, stuttering way… Just the two of them, of course.
"S-Sorry…" he'd responded.
"Don't be… and I still feel the same…" she cooed, winking at Jaune. "If you ever get that Shnee bug out of your system-" Velvet began, cutting off upon spotting someone coming over and quickly rushing off.
"JUANE!" his new bandmate Sun shouted. Closing the last of the distance between them, the blonde faunus patted him on the back with a big smile on his face. "Good job out there, man! Really hammering home that whole superstar-persona thing!"
'What?' the blonde Arc wondered.
"Yeah! I bet that'll go down really well in the long run…" Mercury muttered, stretching his neck.
"Hey, all I'm saying is that his little interview went really well- in my opinion!" Sun declared, continuing to be the absolute bro he was.
"Really?" Ren looked skeptical. "And when they find out that Jaune lied? What do you think they'll say then?" the raven-haired boy challenged, staring at Neptune.
"What are you looking at me for?" the blue-haired teen asked.
"You talked to Jaune before the interview… I can only assume it had something to do with you… and the little pep talk you gave him…"
"Hey! All I said was to be honest about himself!" the boy defended.
"Then where did all of this 'girls asking him out' come from-" Ren retorted, before his leader cut him off.
"Um, Ren… I didn't really lie out there…" Jaune looked a bit hurt. "I was asked by a few girls before… even here in Beacon."
"What, really?" Ren instantly regretted how incredulous he sounded. "When did this happen? Pyrrha and I are always around you, yet I don't recall anything."
"Usually after a workout- or in the morning, when you and Pyr were heading to the library- you can ask Nora… she was there for some of them" the blonde commented honestly.
"Never mind that!" Neptune cut in, glancing at the door leading to the hallway. "We need to get out of here, before our new 'fans' find out where we are…" He started to push Jaune and Sun away, the others following him.
'Is that really what they think about me?' the blue-haired boy pondered, wondering if his playboy behavior had proved a bit too much for his friends.

Jaune and Ren returned to their dorm room, having recently exchanged scroll numbers with the rest of their new band members. They all promised to meet up later, to plan their next move.
Ren had insisted they talk to their team, to get them on their side. Just in case Team RWBY- or, more precisely, Weiss wanted to hurt Jaune. The raven-haired boy hadn't failed to notice just how furious she'd looked after their surprise show.
Ren had no doubt that she might want to strangle his team leader more than anything else.
A few of the other students had noticed them, simply staring in awe… before pulling out their scrolls and taking a picture of the duo. 'You'd think they'd be used to us by now…' But, despite the undue attention, no one had stopped them (which was a good thing).
"Okay… we made it…" Ren breathed out. They both entered the room and closed the door, noting that their two teammates were nowhere in sight.
"You make it sound so dramatic… we were only out a few minutes…" Jaune joked.
"Yeah, and I don't want to think what would have happened if one of your apparent fans got to us…" Ren shuddered, recalling how Sun and Neptune's teammates had gotten crushed by a door not too long ago.
"Don't worry Ren, I'm sure you'll get some fans as well!" Jaune laughed, patting his friend's back.
The raven-haired huntsman in training wanted to say that was not what he meant… but decided to pass on that, relatively unbothered his friend and team leader had missed the point.
Having noticed that the two female members of their team were not in their room, Jaune was slightly disappointed he couldn't get Pyrrha and Nora's opinion on the whole situation.
Ren sat down on his bed and took a deep breath, he released it slowly and started to relax. This whole mess… this was his fault, he just knew it. Ren should have just grabbed Jaune, shaken him silly, slapped his face a few times- all while pointing at Pyrrha and screaming "she's into you!"
How did Jaune ever miss her advances, if girls had come onto him before? Ren didn't know, or even care to find out at this point. All he knew was that as long as he managed to keep Jaune away from doing anymore stunts like the last one, all this ruckus should die down and be forgotten.
And after that? Ren swore he'd lock Pyrrha and Jaune in a hotel room… until they promised him they were together! It might seem a bit much, but it was sure to save them (and HIM) a lot of trouble in the long run!
There was a sudden knock on their door, Jaune turned and walk to it before Ren could stop him.
The blonde Arc opened the door to see his first friend in Beacon smiling broadly at him. "Oh! Hey Ruby!"
"J-Jaune!" the smaller girl stuttered, quickly darting inside and closing the door after herself.
"Um, what's up Rub-" Jaune began, his words cut off by a piece of paper suddenly thrust into his face.
"C-Can you sign this?" the small reaper asked.
"Oh! Yeah, sure!" the blonde teen answered with a smile, applying his name to the item before handing it back to Ruby.
"Thanks Jaune, you're the best!" the girl shouted. She couldn't stop smiling, hugging him.
The blonde scratched his neck awkwardly, "I don't know about that…"
"You are! And don't you forget it!" the girl exclaimed, smiling proudly. "I can't believe my first friend in Beacon is a celebrity now! This is SO cool!"
"You know that I only did it so I could show Weiss how I feel…"
"Yeah, I do. …and I wouldn't worry about Weiss too much, she'll come around! You have my word as her partner and the leader of Team RWBY!" she declared, staring up at Jaune.
Why did that sound like a promise? Did Ruby mean she'd talk to her partner about it, convince her somehow?
The blonde Arc simply shook his head. "It's okay Ruby, I'd rather do this myself… That's the whole point, so I can show her I like her for who she is… and not for her name, her family's money, or anything else!"
Ren could only stare dumbly at the two team leaders, how had he missed this about Jaune?
He'd always simply dismissed his leader's feelings for the frosty girl as a sort of crush that would blow over after some time, or if he found a different girl who liked him.
Ren could only pray that Jaune's heartfelt, sincere, romantic gesture would not leave the small reaper feeling the same way his new fans did about him. Unfortunately, by the way Ruby was staring up at Jaune, Oum was ignoring his supplications yet again.
'Great… Yang will be insufferable about this…' Ren whimpered silently, scrambling to separate the two leaders before Ruby could make things even more difficult. "Say, Ruby…" Ren began, "…did you happen to see Nora, or Pyrrha?"
Ruby's head seemed to swivel in his direction as soon as she heard his voice, apparently never having noticed he was even in the room… that was BAD.
"Oh! R-Ren, um… I'm not sure…" she stammered, still having not let go of Jaune. "I haven't seen them, or my team, since the show…" Ruby explained, looking back to Jaune. "By the way, when are you planning on putting on the next one?"
"The NEXT one?" a bewildered Jaune parroted.
