The people of Liyue began opening their shops, ready to bring in economic prosperity to themselves and their nation. Whether it be food, clothing, perfume, or toys, all of their talents aided the continued accumulation of Mora in their pockets. Even the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor took part.
Hu Tao skipped along the pavement, nearing the corner to turn to her establishment, humming while also internally pouting for being deep in sleep to not have seen the star shower that occurred hours ago compared to the other merchants and citizens who managed to catch a glimpse of them. How she would have liked to see them, mesmerized at how the people described them, their bright light contrasting the dark color veil of the night. She shook her head, no point in thinking about something that would more than likely not happen, and looked to her inherited establishment, and her favorite employee (because she liked teasing him.)
"Bright and early as always, Mr. Zhongli." the 77th director greeted as she walked towards the door of the Parlor, noticing her debonair consultant already waiting at the door. She reached the door and placed the key, but stopped to look at the man, who would normally greet her back with a small smile or a sigh. However, upon seeing his face, she stopped and knew something was going on in his head, for his molten golden eyes were narrowed and shifted to the west. He raised his right hand to rest under his chin, deep in thought.
"Mr. Zhongli," She reiterated, waving her ringed hands in front of his face. Seeing that it wasn't snapping him out, she called out again, but was ignored. Her flower-shaped pupils analyzed him, trying to come up with an explanation as for why he was out of it. She tried snapping her fingers, doing her magnificent dance, and popping out to scare him, but nothing worked. She was getting curiously angry. "Ah, Mr. Zhongli, you truly are a mysterious person. Almost…like an adeptus."
"Parden…"
She grinned upon seeing her underling snapped out of their stupor, patting him on his back and intently looking at his head moving around before settling on her.
"Shees, you had me worried there. It seemed as though your soul had left and your physical body remained standing." She informed him, still grinning. "Hey, you work here as the consultant, but would you like to purchase a coffin? I will give you 60% off!"
Zhongli regained his bearings, managing to hear the offer she gave him, making him sigh. "It is the beginning of the day, Miss Hu." He chided, until he remembered he had yet properly greeted his boss. "Ah, pardon my manners. Good morning, director."
"Aiya! Good morning, again!" She replied, her mischievous eyes still staring at his serene ones. "So, want to tell me what had my consultant staring out in the distance in deep thought?"
He knew ignoring her question was useless, which made him groan in dissatisfaction, and relented. "I apologized. I was simply deep in thought regarding the sight of the shining stars that passed over during the night."
"Aiya! So you saw them. I was deep asleep when they happened." She complained, noticing his facial expression shift. 'There is something going on. He knows something. I will get it out of him, even if it means allowing him to spend a tad bit more of Mora.' She promised herself, taking hold of his arm and dragging him inside the Parlor.
Meanwhile, the old god could only look out at the sky a final time before being confined to his desk behind closed doors.
'Something is about to happen. Whether good or bad, an event of great magnitude is at hand.' He surmised, his power over Geo, the land itself, telling him that something wasn't right. How he sensed from the stars a power belonging to Teyvat, but also from outside of it. 'Mostly human, but most of it mixed with something else. In the end, one thing is for sure. There is adeptal blood mixed in.'
From Qingxu Pool emerged three figures from the water, one of them having a coughing fit from the amount of water they unfortunately swallowed due to their horrible landing, and for their human constitution compared to the other two.
"Anastasia, are you alright?" a gentle yet firm voice asked, laced with concern.
Anastasia, as her name was, felt anger boiling upon feeling a calloused hand on her back, trying to help her cough out whatever water remained in her lungs. She pushed the hand away, her dull blue eyes darted to look at the golden ones who were the exact same as the man she considered a better father, and whose entire physique resembled him, except by being slightly shorter. This made her even more angry.
"I'm fine!" She spat, determined to stand on her own. "Unlike the both of you, I am just a regular human!"
"He was only trying to help…" A quiet male voice chimed in from behind the girl and young man, whose pale blond hair with small streaks of green at the end, and soft golden eyes gazed at both of them.
"It's all right, Tianyu." The sage-laced voice who didn't match their appearance said, their eyes never leaving the frazzled girl's form, who hid her true words behind anger. He took back his arm and nodded at her, ceasing lending his unwanted aid. "However, if anything, Anastasia, please let me know." He received a grunt from her.
The other young boy stepped closer to the two, taking a closer look at their surroundings. He knew this was Liyue, he could feel the pulse of the earth and the smell carried by the wind vibrating inside his body. Behind, there were ruins, the stone archway upwards the stairs were once under water, according to the stories told by the person he considered a grandfather, the glow of the seele having found it's court, and then the treasure hoarders who had taken notice of them and were approaching them with their weapons brandished at them. Before he could even tell his companions, Anastasia summoned her claymore and ran towards the group, yelling out in anger.
"Leave her be for a moment, Tianyu."
Tianyu looked at the back of the youthful man who shared the same adeptal energy, who had taken three steps forward in the direction of Anastasia, who had now engaged the rogue group.
"She needs to let out whatever anger she has in her in order to properly do what needs to be done."
"Uhm…okay."
The older yet youthful man looked at how Anastasia attacked the treasure hoarders, yelling out in anger everytime she went to strike one of them, or how she would stab it on the ground before her as a way to shield herself from a thrown knife. Then, she would summon the power of Geo to her weapon, haphazardly sending Geo-laced pulses at them, who barely managed to dodge them, and in turn starred in terror seeing how they completely cut in half the column and rock behind them. 'She needs this.' He repeated, having experienced this particular stage of humans countless times. Knowing she was okay, he instead recapped everything he knew of their landing.
"We are in Qingxu Pool, at least the one where the ruins are still standing, meaning we are in the area of Lisha, so…" He turned to look behind him, seeing the non-eroded rock formation still standing with water cascading down to the pool, and how it still held the small bridge connecting the paths together from the Chasm to Liyue Harbor. "All we have to do is climb up to the road and head east." He then looked back at the now unconscious men on the ground, with Anastasia's claymore stabbed on the ground, holding tight as she huffed. He could feel the gaze of the young boy behind his head, sensing that he wished to speak but deciding not to as to not interrupt him. "What is it, Tianyu?"
"Sorry…" The boy apologized, his hair tresses which bore the color of his mother and ends of his father fluttering in the wind. "Hua— I mean Aureus Anima—"
A chuckle interrupted. "Please, just call me Huajin. There is no need to be formal. Just like her, I prefer to be called by my name." He sounded sad at the end.
Tianyu mentally berated himself for letting his adeptal blood dictate how he addressed his seniors after being told both by Huajin and her how they liked being called by their name and not their adeptal title. "Apologizes…" He whispered. "I wanted to say that—"
"HEY! WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING!?"
Huajin could only sigh, seeing how one of the treasure hoarders was trying to crawl away. "I know what you want to say." He said to the other adeptus, who's eyes widened in astonishment, "I will get Anastasia in check, and we shall proceed." He started going over to the girl, trying to prevent her from possibly killing the runaway. "The other adepti must have sensed our presence, and will come to see, and then there is the Millelith…"
The younger adeptus stay behind, seeing the older, more wiser one, reign in the girl, who scoffed at him, glared daggers at the frightened man who promised to change his ways, sent their weapon into the pocket dimension, crossed their arms, and made their way back to where he was. They nodded to one another, earning an angry groan from Anastasia who murmured about 'their weird adeptal telepathy or whatever it was' connection. They climbed the small and easy ('for them' Anastasia complained) rocks and prepared their walked to Liyue Harbor, seeking the person he considered as a grandfather of sorts to warn about the horrid occurrence to befall not only his— their not-birth-place, but the entirety of Teyvat.
Tianyu paused in his step, sensing the incoming presence of him, and how he hoped that he wouldn't back away from him upon meeting him, should it come to pass.
