(I was originally gonna make this a separate story, but I decided to make this chapter 10 of this story

Important author notes at the end of the chapter)

Luz was currently sitting backstage, nervous, and waiting for her cue. A few months ago Gus's father Perry left his job at BBN-HXN news and began planning a talk show. However, finding someone for a first interview to give his show some credibility was harder than he thought. So, to help out her friend's dad, Luz offered to be his first guest. Luz, being the savior of the Isles, ment that a lot of people would likely tune in, so Perry didn't hesitate to take her up on her offer. At first, Luz was relatively calm, but she would slowly get more nervous as the days got closer. Today was that day.

"Ms. Noceda, you're on in about 15 minutes!" yelled the backstage worker.

Luz nodded in response. Her nerves were at an all-time high.

Amity had just finished helping Luz fix herself, "You ready?"

"Yes? No? Maybe? Ugh, I don't know." Luz answered.

Eda came and put her arm around her adoptive daughter, "You'll do fine!"

Luz let out a deep sigh, attempting to calm herself down. "It's just….I never did an interview before, so I don't know what to do!"

Amity placed her hands on Luz's shoulders and gently rubbed them to try and calm her down, "Just be yourself and answer all the questions honestly. Do that and it will be fine!"

"Why did I agree to do this again?"

"Because Gus' dad needed an interview for his first show." Eda reminded her

Speaking of Gus' dad, Perry came on stage to a big applause.

"Thank you all for coming!" He said to the audience, "Welcome to my first show, everyone! Before we get to it, let me tell you about how this show came to be. My son Augustus was always fond of the human world, and after the day of unity, he was trapped there for months. After the fall of Belos, he would tell all about it and what he learned. One thing he told me about these things called talk shows and how a lot of humans watched them. Since we didn't have anything like that, I thought "Why not be the first in our world" and here we are today!" The audience gave a round of applause, "Thank you all for that! But I know what you all came here for, so how about we get to the person you all came to see?" My first guest on this show is someone who really needs no introduction. None of us would be here today if it wasn't for her. Please welcome the savior of the Isles, Luz Noceda."

"Ms. Noceda, that you cue!!"

Luz stood up and took a deep breath, "Okay, here I go."

Amity grabbed her wrist, "Wait! Before you go." Amity placed her hand on Luz's face and planted a deep kiss on her wife's lips, which Luz quickly returned and separated shortly after. "Go knock 'em dead, sweetie."

"Thanks hun!" Luz said as she walked out stage.

Luz came up to a thunderous applause and took her seat across from Perry.

"How are you today, Luz?" Perry asked at the beginning of the interview.

Luz placed her hands on her knees, "A little nervous, I never did an interview before. I don't know what to expect or what to say."

Perry lightly chuckled, "It's okay, no need to be nervous."

"Honestly if you weren't one of my best friends' parents, I wouldn't have offered," Luz stopped talking after realizing what she just said, "Oh crap! Was that something I shouldn't have said?"

"It's fine," Perry reassured, "I think everyone knows your friends with my son."

Luz just lightly laughed, feeling slightly embarrassed. Perry could tell Luz was feeling anxious, so he just continued on with the interview, hoping it would calm her down a bit.

"If I recall correctly, you've only known about this world for a little over 3 years. What was your life like before finding the demon realm?"

Luz forgot her slight embarrassment and proceeded to answer the question, "Well, It's nothing special. Just a girl who lost her father at a young age and was pretty much a social outcast."

"No friends at all?" Perry asked. He decided to avoid asking questions about her dad's passing

Luz shook her head, "Nope. I was a nerdy girl who loved magical books, video games, and anime who wasn't very good at talking to my peers. All I had was my mom."

"How did you find your way to the Boiling Isles?"

"My high school pressured my mom to send me to a camp, and when this cute little owl stole my book. I followed it through a door, which turned out to be a portal and BAM! I'm in the demon world. From that point on, Eda was mentoring me."

Perry nodded, taking in everything Luz was saying. "What did you think of the Boiling Isles."

"How would any teen act when coming into a new world? I was both fascinated and shocked. It was not the PG fantasy world I imagined, but still, the fact that magic was real was a dream come true for me! And having Eda as my mentor made it even better."

"So even with the great Owl Lady teaching you, you still attended hexside?"

It was Eda's idea. She said it was because she thought I could learn a lot from both her and the teachers there. But I think it was because she knew how much I wanted to go and I already had 2 friends there."

"Yeah, Augustus told me about the abomination incident, but we'll get to that later. How was your hexside experience?"

"It didn't start off the best. I was originally put into the potion track, but after my first day and a Basilisk attack, I was allowed to study every track."

Perry shook his head, "So all in all, it was a good experience?"

"Yes! Oh, and speaking of hexside." Luz paused, looking at the camera that was on her. "For any of you sports fans out there, Hexisde has a big Grudgby game this weekend, and if they win, they go to the championship game! So please come show your support!"

"Still have the hexside pride, huh?" Perry jokingly questioned.

"Absolutely! Also, I was told that if they win the championship, their coach will be the first person to win as a player and as a coach. So this one is a pretty big deal." Luz answered.

"I'm surprised to hear you say that, Luz. I know you have kind of a bad history with the coach." Perry replied back.

Luz giggled nervously, "I won't lie. I did have a rocky past with Boscha, but all that is ancient history. I don't know how she feels about me, but I consider her a friend now."

"From what I've heard, you seem to have a knack for making people soften up for you."

Luz blushed at this, knowing what Perry was talking about.

"I'll guess we can go into that now," Perry continued, "One of the big news stories that hit recently was that the savior of the Isles herself got married to the heir of the newly rechristened Blight Industries, and at 18 nonetheless! Why marry so young?"

Luz took another deep breath before answering, "You know… after the fight with Belos and my MANY near death experiences, and the one time I DID die, it kinda put things into perspective. I realized that I didn't have all the time in the world, and I would never love anyone more than I love Amity. Not to mention, the idea of being married to my cotton candy haired goddess made me very giddy."

The crowd "awwwed" at Luz gushing over Amity.

"How is married life treating you so far?" Perry asked.

"I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life! Amity is the last thing I see when I go to bed, and the first thing I see when I wake up and I wouldn't want it any other way. I know it sounds odd considering that we haven't even been married a year yet, but I legit feel like I'm living in a dream. I mean, the proposal itself made me feel like I was on cloud nine."

"I'm sure," Perry then turned to the audience, "For those of you who don't know, my son and I went to a party held for Luz, and we witnessed the proposal. It was quite a beautiful scene."

"Amity told me her nerves were a wreck. She was so nervous I would say no."

Perry chuckled, "Just the idea of you turning her down is ludicrous."

"I know, right?!"

"If I recall correctly, Amity wasn't always your biggest fan…" Perry said with a raised eyebrow.

Luz shook her head frantically, "No she wasn't. She had quite the vendetta against me."

"Why was that?" Perry asked, "Willow and Augustus were fond of you immediately. What was Amity's issue with you originally?"

Luz laughed, thinking back at it, "Aside from taking her top student badge from her and almost destroying Hexside? I don't know. We never really talked about it."

"Did she really want to have you dissected?"

"Yes, that would be a fun story to tell our future kid one day." Luz joked.

Perry smirked when he heard that, "Future kid?"

Luz blushed and nodded, "I've looked into a bit and found some ways we could make it happen, but that won't be for a long time."

"So what future plans do you two have?" Perry asked, continuing the interview.

"Well, next semester, Amity is planning on going to the University Of Wild Magic while also working at Blight Industries."

Perry looked at Luz with a very confused expression, "Sounds like she's putting a lot on her plate."

"Yeah, but she's committed to it, and I think she can do it. Plus, she's got Alador and the twins looking out for her and me helping her whenever I can." Luz answers to let Perry know Amity isn't alone in building a new image for Blight Industries. Less weapons and more practical inventions.

"What do you girls have planned after college?" Perry asked.

"I'm not sure," Luz admitted. "I would like to travel outside the Boiling Isles and see what all this world has to offer. At some point, though, I would like to settle down. Just me, Amity, and… our future child, or children. We're open to having more than one kid."

Perry went into a bag sitting next to his chair and pulled out what looked to be some index cards, "So when I announced that you were going to be my guest I asked the audience to submit some of their questions for you. Would you like to go through some of them?

Luz nodded, "Okay, let's do it."

Perry looked at the first one, "What did you do after the Day of Unity?"

Luz looked down and twiddled her hands, Perry took notice of how nervous Luz was when he asked. She looked back up and finally answered, "Well… me, Amity, and the others were trapped in the human world. After everyone took a week or two to adjust whenever I wasn't in school, I either was trying to find a way back here to save everyone or laying in my bed, blaming myself for everything. I was the most miserable I'd ever been. I just wasn't in a good place mentally."

Perry felt sorry for the young human. He was told Luz herself during that time, but hearing how bad she was from her own mouth was sad. He pulled out the card with the next question so she wouldn't dwell on that last one, "Will you have any input on the next government system that the Boiling Isles will have?"

"No. I know that a few of the former Coven heads are working on some kind of system but I said I just wanted to live as a normal college student, an awesome wife and a permanent resident of the Demon Realm."

Perry looked at the next question card, "How has your wife's family been to you."

"They have welcomed me into their family with open arms. Except for Odalia."

Perry looked disgusted at just the sheer mention of Odalia, "Well from what I've been told, she's not in the picture, and rightfully so. Next question: Has anyone treated you as a celebrity these last few years?"

"Thankfully, no."

"Not into that?"

"Nope! I just want to be treated like everyone else. Although, I did hear something about them building a church in honor of my Titan form."

Perry knew exactly what Luz was talking about. "You mean the "Church of Luz?" Yeah, I guess some people seem to really idolize you."

"I just hope it doesn't start a cult or anything." Luz laughs nervously, and everyone in the audience joins her, including Perry himself.

"Probably just a rumor or a joke" Perry reassured.

Luz chuckled, "Hopefully!"

Perry collected himself and stopped laughing, "Ahem, I completely understand that. We're running low on time, so I got 2 more questions from the audience."

"Fire away!"

"How well does your mentor and mother get along, or do they even have a relationship at all?"

"Oh yes! Eda has developed a very close friendship with my mom. Whenever she comes over here, her and Eda hang out. Eda even goes to the human world to hang out with her. I have no idea what they do, but they do get along."

"What about the rest of Eda's family?"

"Lilith and Raine both get along with her. They even teach her things about the Isles. King is very fond of her, but that might be because she makes him tasty snacks. And Hooty likes everyone cause he's Hooty."

Perry took a heavy sigh, knowing what he was about to ask was pretty heavy, "Ok this is the final question from the audience, and I wanted to ask as well. This one is pretty big, which is why I saved it for last. Are you ready?

Luz took a deep breath and nodded, "Yes!"

Perry started reading the question. "During the rebuilding, a rumor came out that due to some "Time travel shenanigans", you inadvertently helped Belos, and that helped turn him into the evil creature he was. Is that true?

Luz was stunned. She didn't expect that question. She knew some people would resent her if they found out, but she thought that the people needed to know the truth.

"Yes… it's true."

"Would you like to explain to the audience?" Perry asked

"Me and Lilith used some time pools to travel back in time so I could meet "Philip" and find a way home. When we met him, he seemed like a nice enough dude, so I taught him a glyph. Long story short, he backstabbed me and Lilith. I didn't even know he was Belos until Hunter and I were trapped in his mind."

"How did someone find this out?" Perry wondered.

Luz shrugged, "I have no idea. Maybe someone overheard me talking to someone about it and decided to spread it. It doesn't matter. The truth is out now, and I rather people hear it from me than anyone else."

Perry nodded, "Thank you so much for your honesty."

"I figured everyone deserved to know the truth. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone hated me now, but I deserve it.

After hearing that, Perry decided to test that, "Ladies and Gentlemen, if you hate Luz and blame her for Belos' rule, make some noise..."

No one responded. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

"Now… make some noise if you see Luz as a hero…"

The crowd erupted with cheers and chants. Luz was surprised by this response from the audience.

Perry smiled. He was feeling proud that his "on the spot" plan worked, "I think that speaks for itself."

Luz just listened to the cheers and teared up a little bit.

"Well I think that's a good spot to end this. Everyone give it up for Luz Noceda!" Perry said as the audience gave Luz a standing ovation.

The crowd applauded Luz as she waved at them.

All in all, this went well

(AUTHORS NOTES...Sooooo lately, my motivation and self esteem has been at an all-time low. I'll look back at my writing and think "God I suck, maybe I should just stop writing." Maybe I'm just my own worst critic. Maybe my works actually do suck. I don't know. I know those sounds pathetic, but please, if you like my stories, send me a comment/review. Thank you for reading!
