Chapter 10: A Good Night Turned Horrible

Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha

A/N: Ugh! I don't know why I do this to myself; I suck at fight scenes but always seem to write a story that has to have fight scenes! What's wrong with me!? But, anyway, hope you enjoy this chapter!

P.S. Spiciness in this chapter!

P.S.S. Thank you for the comment, Inufangirl92, I am so glad you are loving this story! Hiro still has a journey to go, we will see what happens in the future :) I'm so happy that you are enjoying this story and hope you like this chapter!

Kagome and Sango walked in their house while giggling about something while holding their shopping bags as they walked towards the hallway that split at the end going opposite directions that housed the bedrooms. At the end they split up, Kagome going right and Sango going left so they could put their new things up.

Inuyasha and Miroku watched them walk without even acknowledging them, not that they minded in the least, they were both happy that they found each other. Inuyasha had noticed Kagome really didn't have any friends from a talk they had one night of him asking about her friends and if she wanted to spend time with them, he was sad when she answered that she didn't have any.

The men unanimously decided that they were going to follow their ladies into the rooms, for no reason - nope, none at all.

Inuyasha walked into the room as Kagome was hanging up her dress in the closet, they had both agreed that she would move into his room since she spent most of her time in his room anyway. "Did you have fun?" He asked in his smooth sexy voice making Kagome jump a little since she didn't even hear him enter the room.

"You scared me!" Kagome exclaimed as she held her hand over her heart.

"Sorry." Inuyasha replied with a half-smile, not sounding very sorry.

"I did have fun." Kagome smiled with a nod, choosing to ignore the obviously false apology from Inuyasha.

"That's good." Inuyasha hummed making a delicious shiver run up and down Kagome's spine as he stalked up behind her, moving her hair so he could have plenty of neck access. He placed his hands on her hips before pulling her back into him. "Can I see you in your dress?" He asked as he ran his nose from her collarbone up to her ear before taking the lobe of her ear between his teeth, nibbling on it softly.

"Noo." Kagome moaned softly as she pushed her rear end into Inuyasha's groin.

Inuyasha moved to where Kagome was sandwiched between the wall and himself as he dragged his claws up and down her sides making sure to caress the sides of her breasts before moving back down. He gripped her hips again before thrusting his hips against her rear end making her moan and move her ass against him again. "And why not?" He asked with his lips against her ear.

Kagome shivered as Inuyasha's breath fanned over her ear. "Be-because it's a s-surprise." She muttered as Inuyasha's mouth moved from her ear down to the crook of her neck as he licked, sucked and nipped at her skin, his hand came up to wrap around her hair and pulled so he could have even more access to her neck.

"A surprise?" Inuyasha hummed as his free hand moved to unbutton her jeans so he could slip his hand inside to cup her already dripping core. "Oh, baby girl, you're already dripping for me." He said as he slipped a finger inside making Kagome cry out as she tried to thrust into his hand but being between him and the wall she couldn't really move. "Fine," he said as he slipped another finder inside her weeping center making her cry out in pleasure again, "you can keep your dress a secret, however, there's one more thing I'd love to see."

"Mmm," Kagome hummed as Inuyasha added yet another finger inside, "and what would that be?" She panted as she continued to try to move with the rhythm of his fingers, she was starting to get frustrated that she couldn't move when Inuyasha ripped her from the wall before throwing her on the bed, she landed on her stomach.

Inuyasha ridded Kagome of her clothes. "Your pretty little pussy." He husked out before having his way with her.

An hour later found Kagome and Inuyasha in the shower getting washed up, Inuyasha washed Kagome's hair before washing her body - paying extra attention to her most intimate part, before pushing her gently under the water spray, running his fingers through her hair making sure all the shampoo was out of her hair. He then grabbed her conditioner bottle before putting a good amount on her hair and massaging it in making her hum in appreciation. Once he was done with her hair, he grabbed his own shampoo bottle getting ready to wash his own hair, however, Kagome snatched the bottle from his hand before he could and lathered up his hair herself making sure to take the time to massage his scalp just like he did with hers. Once she was done, she pushed him under the shower head so she could rinse the shampoo out of his hair before adding his conditioner to his hair - massaging his head once again.

"Um, Inuyasha?" Kagome whispered as she rubbed the conditioner into his hair while biting her lip nervously.

"Hmm?" Inuyasha hummed as he stepped under the water spray to rinse his hair out.

"Um, how-how long is a dog demon's pregnancy?" Kagome asked quietly as she started at her feet.

"Why do you want to know that?" Inuyasha asked turning towards Kagome, his heart pounded when he saw her looking down while worrying her bottom lip.

"I-I've just been feeling weird since yesterday, I've been extra tired, and this morning I threw up the breakfast that I made myself." Kagome explained with a shrug. "While Sango and I were out, I decided to grab a pregnancy test just to make sure."

"And what did it say?" Inuyasha asked as he hooked a finger under her chin so he could gently raise her head so he could see her beautiful face. His heart pounded wildly in his chest at the thought of being a father, he was ecstatic just thinking about it.

"I-I don't know," Kagome whimpered nervously, "I haven't taken it yet."

Inuyasha turned around and turned the water off before turning back around and to help Kagome get out of the shower. "Take it now."

"O-okay." Kagome stuttered as she grabbed the test before taking it out of the box and the packaging as she walked towards the toilet.

Laying the test down on the bathroom counter, Kagome and Inuyasha both got dried and dressed before they looked at the test that was lying face down on the counter.

Kagome's heart was in her throat, 'what if its positive?' She thought as she tried several times, she peeked at Inuyasha from the corner of her eyes and saw him staring at the test with a blank expression. 'I've always wanted a big family, at least four or five kids, but... would he want that?' She let out a mental sigh as she looked back at the test. Her pointer finger twitched before she reached for the test. "It should be done processing now." She whispered as her fingers brushed against the test.

Inuyasha swallowed heavily before nodding not able to speak at the moment as he watched as Kagome's fingers gripped the test before turning it over. He looked over her shoulder to see what it said, it was one of those digital tests that read either pregnant or not pregnant and sucked in a lungful of air.

It read pregnant.

"This can't be possible." Kagome whispered to herself as her hand started shaking and tears ran down her face. "I-it has to be wrong, right? I-it's too soon." She insisted as she started to hyperventilate, she was scared of how Inuyasha would react. She worried that he'd be pissed and wouldn't want anything to do with her or their baby.

Inuyasha gripped her shoulders gently as he turned her around to face him. "Kagome," he spoke calmly as he wiped her tears from her face, "shh, it'll be okay. It's not too early, demon pregnancies show up the day after conception." He explained with a smile as he rubbed her upper arms with his hands trying to calm her down. "We're going to have a baby!"

"You're, you're not mad?" Kagome sniffled as she wiped her tears off her face while looking down at the floor.

Inuyasha hooked a finger under her chin before gently lifting her head so he could look her in the eyes. "Mad?" He whispered as he cupped her face and softly wiped at her tears that were still falling out of her eyes. "Why would I be mad?"

"I was afraid that you wouldn't want any babies and that you'd kick me out once you found out." Kagome admitted with another sniffle.

"Oh, baby girl, that's never going to happen." Inuyasha whispered, his heart cracking in his chest, she had been through so much hurt in her life and he vowed that he would never do that to her. "I love you."

Kagome gasped as her eyes widened in surprise and her heart raced in her chest. "Y-you love me?"

"Yes, I do. I love you baby girl." Inuyasha repeated before pulling her face towards his and kissing her soft and slow.

Kagome reached up to grip his wrists as she kissed him back before pulling away. "I love you too, Inuyasha."

"I have to go to Sango's room, she said that she'd help me get ready for the party." Kagome explained while taking a deep breath before turning to splash some water on her face to calm her nerves.

"Alright." Inuyasha responded as he stepped up behind her before moving her hair out of the way and kissed her on the neck.

Kagome smiled at him through the mirror before grabbing the hand towel that was hanging up beside the mirror and dried her face before leaving the room. She arrived at Sango's room door and knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer the door. A few seconds later the door opened to reveal Miroku wrapping a tie around his neck but not bothering to tie it as he had yet to button his shirt up.

"Oh, hi Miroku, is Sango in there?" Kagome asked.

"Yeah," Miroku answered as he stepped aside to let Kagome slip inside, "she's just finishing up in the bathroom."

"Thank you." Kagome said with a small smile.

Miroku nodded before leaving the room.

Kagome placed her things on the bed before sitting down in the vanity chair as she waited for Sango to finish up in the bathroom.

A few minutes later, Sango walked out still drying her hair. "Okay, you ready to get ready?" She said when she saw Kagome sitting at the vanity.

Kagome let out a small giggle. "Yeah."

Sango smiled as she threw her towel in the hamper before walking to stand behind Kagome, she ran her fingers through Kagome's hair as she looked in the mirror at Kagome trying to figure out what hairstyle to do for her. She settled on a half messy bun that was sitting on top of her head - leaving out some hair to frame her face, she then curled the half of Kagome's hair that was left down and the strands that were framing her face. She then did Kagome's makeup, keeping it light and more natural looking - she knew Inuyasha didn't like when women wore too much makeup, he said it made them look fake.

Once she was done with Kagome's makeup, Sango told her to get up and sit on the bed while she did her own hair and makeup - throughout the whole process of doing Kagome's hair and makeup and doing her own they were laughing and talking about their past childhood antics. But as Sango was doing her own hair, Kagome looked out the window as she sat on the bed, thinking about her pregnancy and how Inuyasha was so happy. She sighed happily as a small smile curled her lips.

Once she was done with her makeup and hair, Sango turned with a smile that soon fell from her face when she saw Kagome staring out the window seemingly like she wasn't there mentally and the moment.

"Kagome?" Sango called out making the young woman jump and turn to face her.

"Oh, Sango, I'm sorry I guess I just spaced out there, huh?" Kagome replied sending Sango an apologetic smile. "Were you trying to tell me something?"

"I was just going to ask if you were ready to put your dress on?" Sango asked with a smile.

"Oh, yes." Kagome nodded as she stood up, undressed out of her clothes before taking her dress out of the bag and go about putting it on.

Sango did the same, but she could still tell that Kagome was distracted.

They put their jewelry on in silence while Sango studied Kagome, she could definitely tell that something was on her mind and wanted to be there for the young woman in whatever way that she could. "Kagome, are you okay?"

"Huh?" Kagome muttered as she looked up at Sango from buckling her shoe onto her foot.

"I asked if you were alright?" Sango repeated as she placed her hand on Kagome's shoulder in comfort. "You can talk to me, and I'll try to help you through whatever's on your mind."

Kagome smiled as she stood up and placed her hands on Sango's shoulders. "Sango I'm-"

Kagome was interrupted by a knock sounded on Sango's door.

Sango sighed as she turned from Kagome and answered the door just a crack. "Yeah?"

"It's almost time to go, are you guys ready yet?" Miroku asked softly.

"Yeah, well be down in a minute." Sango replied before shutting the door and turning back to face Kagome. "We better go." She sent an apologetic smile towards her.

Kagome smiled a small smile back before nodding and walking towards the door before stopping as another worry hit her heart hard.

"What's wrong, Kagome?" Sango asked seeing how her new friend's hands were shaking slightly. She walked over to her before placing a hand on Kagome's shoulder and dipped her head trying to gain eye contact with the woman standing in front of her.

"What-what if Inuyasha doesn't like the dress or how I look right now?" Kagome whispered. "I-I've never done this before; I never been asked to go to anything with anyone before." As she looked back on it now, she knew she was naive when she was with Kio. He never asked her out to any dates or anything really romantic, they became parents at a very young age, and she guessed that she was just blinded by the love that she felt for him making her not see that their relationship was just so wrong in so many ways. Now that she's with Inuyasha and going on her very first date she's basically ever had, outside the bedroom, she was incredibly nervous.

"Hey, look at me." Sango said softly as she hooked Kagome's chin with her finger making Kagome look up off the ground. "Inuyasha's going to love you in this dress, and like I said when you tried it on at the store - he's not going to be able to take his hands off you." She said with a smile. "You're hot, look at you." She said as she spun Kagome around so she could look at herself in Sango's body length mirror.

Kagome gasped at the sight of herself, she hardly recognized herself. She had never been in anything this expensive in her whole life, she couldn't say that she didn't look good, Sango was right - she looked hot. Seeing herself in the mirror gave her the confidence to exit Sango's room and walk into the living room where the men were waiting and show off her new dress to Inuyasha.

Inuyasha had his back to Kagome as him and Miroku talked about something or other, Miroku caught eye of the girls walking out and tapped Inuyasha on the arm with a look of complete awe etched on his face.

Inuyasha stopped talking and looked behind him to see what Miroku was looking at. Once he saw, he literally had to pick his jaw up from the floor, had to will his heart to not beat out of his chest and land in Kagome's tiny hand and had to fight the urge to rip that dress off of her and have his way with her in front of Sango and Miroku. He let out an approving growl as he stalked towards her wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her flush against him. "Now, how do you expect me to want to go anywhere with you looking so mouthwatering?" He breathed out with his lips right next to her ear.

Kagome blushed as her hands came up to clutch the sleeves of his suit jacket that he was wearing. "You don't look too bad yourself." She whispered as she pushed herself up against him even more causing Inuyasha to growl again.

"You better behave, baby girl, or we're not going anywhere." Inuyasha said with warning behind his voice that made shivers of anticipation run up and down Kagome's spine.

"Then we better stop." Kagome said with a sigh as she stepped out of Inuyasha's arms.

"Okay." Inuyasha cleared his throat, as well as his mind of the dirty images Kagome had placed there. "Are we ready to go?"

With everyone nodding in affirmation they all left and headed for the hospital.

Once they entered the dining hall, Watanabe, Koga and Ayame walked up to them.

"Ah!" Watanabe exclaimed throwing his hands up. "The man of the hour! How goes it Phantom?"

"It goes well." Inuyasha said as he shook hands with Watanabe. 'At least he still seems to be on my side.' Inuyasha thought to himself, he was worried that the new dealer had gotten to him, but it didn't seem like that could be the case. "How goes it for you?"

"It goes well for me too, my friend." Watanabe said excitedly. "Ah Kagome!" He exclaimed before grabbing her hand and shaking it with the same vigor he always did. "How goes it for you? Is Phantom treating you right?" He asked with a wide smile and a wink.

Kagome blushed a little as she smiled and small smile. "It goes well, Watanabe." She laughed. "And Phantom treats me better than anyone has ever treated me before."

"Ah! That's good, he's a good man." He put his hand up to his mouth as if to tell a secret, though, he didn't whisper it as if he wanted Inuyasha to overhear him say that before moving on to shake Miroku's and Sango's hand.

"Yeah, yeah." Inuyasha grumbled with a smile.

Koga stepped up to shake Inuyasha's hand before shaking Kagome's then Miroku's and Sango's.

"Good evening, I trust you all are well?" Koga asked as Ayame shared a hug with both of the girls.

"We are doing good." Inuyasha said with a wide smile as he snaked his arm around Kagome's waist. He didn't say anything else, though, as he looked down at Kagome with the smile still on his face as she looked up at him with a smile of her own.

Watanabe and Koga bid their goodbyes before going to talk with some more of the guests.

Inuyasha and the others walked to the table that was stationed in front of the room that was put there for them to be center of attention, they sat down and looked over the menu to see what they wanted to eat. They had one of three options: baked chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans, steak and baked potato with steamed broccoli or a rack of lamb with au gratin potatoes and with steamed carrots.

Kagome and Sango chose the chicken dish while Inuyasha chose the stake dish and Miroku chose the rack of lamb dish. Inuyasha cut a few bites of stake up before he started eating. Kagome, who was getting more and more comfortable around Inuyasha and the others, side eyed Inuyasha's plate and as fast as she could took her fork and stole a bite of Inuyasha's stake. Inuyasha gave Kagome a mock look of surprise - which Kagome returned the look with a cheeky smile - that she had the audacity to steal his food. However, his look quickly morphed into a smirk as he stole a bite of her mashed potatoes.

"Hey!" Kagome played whined as she playfully stuck her bottom lip out.

"That's what you get, ya cheeky wench." Inuyasha said as he took his finger and poked her side making her giggle.

Sango and Miroku laughed at their antics as dinner went on without any more stealing of food.

Kagome looked around the room at all the people that were here to celebrate Inuyasha. She felt so proud of the man that she was there with. Everyone that was there was talking amongst the people that were at their tables. She saw almost all the nurses and doctors there, they all had made rounds before coming here for the celebration, they also had their pagers on them that were connected to their assigned rooms so if one of the patients were to press the help button then the signal would go to their pagers, and they'd leave to go check on their patient. Just when she was about to look back down at her plate to get another bite of her food, she saw two men that oddly looked a lot like Inuyasha - they were there with a human woman with long black hair. The two men and the woman kept stealing glances at their table before looking away again to continue talking about whatever they were talking about.

"Uh, Phantom?" Kagome muttered as she placed her hand on his bicep.

"Yeah, what?" Inuyasha asked looking at her with a raised eyebrow.

"There are two men over there that look scary similar to you." Kagome said as she tilted her head in the direction of where the men sat.

"What?" Inuyasha said as he turned to look in the direction Kagome tilted her head in, Sango also looked in the direction.

Inuyasha growled low in his throat.

"What the fuck are they doing here?" Sango asked in outrage.

"Who are they?" Kagome asked, surprised at how Inuyasha and Sango reacted to the people.

"Our mom, dad and older brother." Inuyasha answered.

"Oh." Kagome said as she instantly felt more than a little irritated at the people that mistreated her husband and her friend when they were younger. She was just about to get up and give them a piece of their mind when the head leader of the hospital stood up and hit his glass with their knife indicating that he would like the attention of everyone.

"Thank you all for coming to this very special celebration!" The head leader, Dr. Wang, started as he made his way from his seat to the stage that was in the room. "We here at the hospital do whatever we can every day to make sure that everyone that comes here has the very best experience and get the results that you want in a timely manner. However, most of our equipment was severely outdated and buggy making our goal to be as fast as possible incredibly difficult. With that being said I want to say a very big thank you to Phantom Taisho for making a very generous donation so we could upgrade our hospital and give everyone the speedy recovery that they both want and deserve." He said as he raised his drink and everyone around them clapped their hands. "Come up here, Phantom, say a few words before you accept your gift from us."

Inuyasha leaned over and gave a peck to Kagome's check before standing up and walking toward the stage, as he was walking Kagome decided to take a look around the room again and saw, not only Inuyasha's parents but hers as well as Kikyo there. She inwardly groaned and rolled her eyes before focusing back on the stage.

"Thank you, Dr. Wang." Inuyasha said as he got to the microphone. "Thank you everyone for coming here tonight. I am very proud and glad to offer any money donation that this hospital may need in the future. This hospital is not only an important part of the city, but also very important to my lovely wife whose son is housed in this very hospital fighting cancer."

Kagome's breath hitched in her throat, she didn't know that he was going to mention her or her son, she felt tears threaten to escape her eyes, however, she was able to keep them at bay for now.

"I wouldn't want to be here tonight with anyone else but her at my side." Inuyasha said as he stretched his hand toward Kagome and motioned her to come up on the stage to stand beside him before he continued his acceptance speech with his arm wrapped around her waist keeping her as close to him as possible. "I am so proud of our community and how much people want to help and change the city for the better! I hope everyone has a good night and have some fun." He said as he raised his glass in salute as the crowd erupted in more applause as Dr. Wang brought out a hospital cross trophy.

"I'd like to present you, Phantom Taisho, with this very unique, one-of-a-kind, trophy in honor of our gratitude." Dr. Wang said as he handed the trophy to Inuyasha.

"Thank you, Dr. Wang, it was my pleasure to help out." Inuyasha said as he accepted the trophy.

Once Inuyasha accepted the award, he and Kagome walked off the stage and back to their seats to finish their dinner - once they finished eating, they walked around the room and socialized with a lot of the people that were there. Inuyasha did what he could to stay away from both his parents and Kagome's family, who told him that she spotted them earlier, however, fates were not on his side as he heard a voice that he could've lived the rest of his life never hearing again.

"Son, can we talk for a minute?" The older male that had his silver hair up in a high ponytail, the same golden eyes as Inuyasha and two purple stripes on his cheeks asked.

Inuyasha and the others turned to face the people that stood behind them as Inuyasha growled lowly in his chest. "No, we cannot." He hissed before turning back around. He couldn't believe that they had the audacity to come here and try to talk to him after what they did to him. He was beyond angry, but he was also hurt, his father never gave him an explanation as to why he kicked him out and maybe that's what hurt him the most. Him and his father were pretty close, his mother and him even closer, and when they had kicked him out it had felt as if they had ripped his heart out of his chest. He wasn't for sure whether or not they would ever be able to repair what had been destroyed.

"I see you're still as immature as ever, little brother." The other demon said in a monotone voice making Inuyasha growl as he turned back around.

"Shut the fuck up, asshole!" Inuyasha snarled as he took a step closer to his half-brother. How dare him say that he was the immature one when their father kicked him out for absolutely no reason! "What are you guys even doing here?"

"We've come to see your accomplishments." The woman said softly.

"Keh!" Inuyasha scoffed as he looked at the woman. "Yeah? Well, I don't want you here so just leave."

"No, Inu-" The man with the high ponytail said as he took a step forward.

"Shut up!" Inuyasha hissed through his teeth. "Don't say my fucking name with all these fucking people around!"

"I'd watch how you're talking to us, ingrate." The other demon sneered at Inuyasha.

"Shut it, Sesshomaru!" Inuyasha snapped as he looked towards the man. "Nobody wants you here, so leave!"

"Son, I just-"

"I just want you to leave!" Inuyasha snarled at his father.

"Don't talk to your father and brother that way!" The woman snapped.

Kagome let out a faux chuckle, tired of these people that practically disowned her man, causing everyone to look at her in surprise - including Inuyasha.

"I'm sorry, but you calling him," she pointed at the man with his hair up in, "a father and him," she pointed to Sesshomaru, "a brother to Phantom is just laughable really." She said as she laughed again. "Naw, you ain't his family no more than a fly is the president, which is quite impossible - wouldn't you say?" She said as she crossed her arms over her chest and smirked while she raised her eyebrow in question.

Sesshomaru sent Kagome a glare but didn't say anything as Toga, Inuyasha's father, cleared his throat. "Tempers are high right now, so we'll leave. Maybe here soon, we'll be able to have a civilized talk.

Inuyasha didn't say anything, he just stood there as he watched his father, mother and brother leave.

"Are you okay?" Kagome asked as she placed a hand on Inuyasha's bicep making him stop growling as he looked down at her.

"Yeah," Inuyasha said with a sigh as he grabbed her hand before lacing their fingers together, "let's go home."

"Can we stop by Hiro's room before we leave?" Kagome asked as they walked towards the exit of the dining hall.

Inuyasha nodded as he turned down the hall that would lead them to Hiro's room with Miroku and Sango following behind them.

Once they got to the hall that Hiro's room was in, Kagome's heart fell in her chest as she stared at the nurses that stayed behind in case of an emergency were all unconscious on the ground.

A very bad feeling settled in Kagome's gut as Miroku and Sango went to check the pulses on the nurses, sighing in relief when they found their heartbeats.

"Something's wrong." Kagome whispered before running to Hiro's room.

"No!" Kagome screamed when she entered the room as she started hyperventilating. "Oh God, Hiro's gone!"

Hope you enjoyed this chapter! Until next time, bye!
