Aileen was waiting in the garage when Edie, Zara and John returned with the supplies and the news about Alpha.

"Did something happen?" Edie asked, a little surprised to see her partner there, and not back in the main room, figuring out what they needed to do if the bug situation ever got taken care of.

"The bug situation is finally under control. Thankfully it wasn't a queen." Aileen said. "I'm just going to help get it down to lock up and make sure it stays there. Did you get the supplies?"

"We did, but we ran into a major problem. Alpha." Edie told her.

"Alpha?" Aileen paled and closed her eyes for a moment to deal with the news. She had known Alpha showing up was a possibility but…. Her eyes blinked open as she asked Edie. "You're sure?"

"Very." Edie told her. "He had grabbed a security guard and he was digging around through the supplies. No clue what he was looking for."

"It looked like some kind of electronics that he was looking at." Zara offered from where she was helping John unload the supplies from the back of the truck. "It didn't look like very sophisticated stuff, though. More like what they would use to run IV pumps or something similar. Not sure why in the world he would be looking at anything like that. I can't see how he could weaponize it."

"Was there a problem at the warehouse?" Colleen called as she came in.

"Sort of." Aileen looked at the little hospital administrator for a moment, and then at John as well. Out of everyone here, those two had absolutely no reason to be mixed up in this mess. And with Alpha in the mix now…. "As soon as X is back and we have the bug under control, I'll see about getting you back to the hospital. I appreciate all of your help, but if Alpha's involved, there's no reason for the two of you to risk yourselves any further." Zed wouldn't be happy about her letting Colleen go knowing she couldn't be neuralized, and John, well, she did agree it would be too risky to neuralize him given his memory issue so there was another thing for Zed to be unhappy about but….

"I'm not leaving." John said. "You need help. I'm not entirely sure what all I can do, but you need help. I'm not leaving."

"Who is this Alpha anyway?" Colleen asked.

"He was the former head of the MIB. He betrayed the organization about thirty years ago. He's a sociopath or maybe a psychopath. I've heard them use both terms with him." Aileen said. "He's extremely dangerous. You really don't need to be involved in this with him showing up. This isn't your fight."

"I'm a resident of this planet and of this city, and you're saying there's a dangerous sociopath or psychopath on the loose. I rather think it is my fight. Anyway, if I wanted to avoid sociopaths of psychopaths or whichever path is the most annoying, it would be incredibly hard to go to work. I'm pretty sure at least a few of my board members are that. I'm staying." Colleen said. "Like John said, you need help. Let's see about getting these supplies where they need to go, and we need some help with some of the drugs. Doctor Weaver and I were taking a look while you were gone, and we definitely need to do some restocking. The human drugs I can get access too, no problem but I'm a little worried about some of the alien drugs. The worms are trying to figure out how to get computer access to find out where those are supplied from, but unless they can, I think we're going to have to substitute human medicines, at least temporarily."

"I was kind of afraid that might happen." Zara said. "What are we running low on, the things that I had X and the others using when this first happened?"

"According to Doctor Weaver, yes." Colleen said. "He think that there are possible substitutes we can use, but…."

"There are. We'll just need to work out the best options, and then figure out dosing. The injectors I had them using came preloaded, which was really helpful. As soon as we get the supplies unloaded….."

"I'll handle it." John offered. "I know where they need to go. I can grab some more people to help and get them unloaded and down to where you need them, no problem. Go get the medicine thing fixed and the situation with that Alpha guy. I can handle unloading supplies."

"He's really very helpful." Aileen said as she watched John hurrying away to gather assistance with unloading.

"He's really very much law enforcement too." Edie said. "Aileen, when we were picking up the supplies, Alpha must have already been in the warehouse somewhere, he grabbed the guard, and one of them made some sort of noise that got our attention. I went to check it out and told Zara and John to stay there with the warehouse foreman. When I saw Alpha was there, I knew it was something I couldn't handle alone. I was going to get everyone to safety and call for backup but before I could, I saw John there. He had somehow worked his way around in back of where Alpha was, and he found the guard's gun. He shot at Alpha, right past the guard's head, missed him completely, and if Alpha hadn't jerked back at the last second, he would have taken two shots to the head. As it was, he was hit at least once."

"He shot Alpha?" Aileen stopped for a moment, an expression of shock on her face. "He shot…."

"There was blood so he hit him at least once." Edie said. "And if he hadn't moved, he would have taken two bullets to the head. Aileen, he said he though he knew how to do what he did by watching something similar on tv, and I'm pretty sure that he really thinks that's how he got the idea for doing it, but…. He's got to be law enforcement, or something similar. The way he did what he did, like it was totally natural…. He's got to be law enforcement."

"But he really doesn't remember?" Aileen asked.

"Edie shook her head. "It's like if he's in a situation, the instincts kick in, and he'll do something like shooting Alpha the way he did or tracking that poor driver, but afterwards, he honestly doesn't have a clue how he did what he did. He's got to be law enforcement, though."

"Keep an eye on him." Aileen said after a moment. "There's not much we can do about helping him with his memory at the moment, but if he is law enforcement and subconsciously those instincts are kicking in when he needs them, he may be able to get back more. Just keep an eye on him and get Zara to watch him too, If she can."

"No problem. I like him, and I'm pretty sure Zara does too." Edie said. And she knew if Jay was awake he definitely would. "What do you need me for? I can help with securing the bug if you need me too."

Aileen shook her head. "I got the request for Kay's brother to provide assistance sent through finally. He should be getting it any time now. Go and see about preparing a run down of the criminals and escapees that we're dealing with. Hopefully he'll be on his way here soon and we'll need it." She just hoped with Alpha on the loose bringing Sam in was the right decision.
