Chapter 15

At the Zen'in estate…

Mochi woke in a large, soft bed. She stretched out and paused but sighed. After all, it wasn't her room. "Hoshi…" she said and rolled her eyes. And yet as she was about to leave the comfort of the sheets, she noticed something. The room… had her figure collection. She has a small anime one in her room but these figures were not from there… they were ones she wanted! But… why are they here? Hoshi doesn't collect them either.

But the more she looked about the room, the more she realized there were things here that she doesn't own, but have been bought for her? There was clothing in the drawer; top of the line designer brands, shoes that filled a closet and handbags. She didn't know if this was Hoshi's doing.

With a sigh, Mochi decided to address this now. Venturing down stairs she found a lavishing breakfast awaiting her. Naoya was at the table waiting and… smiling.

"It's never a good sign to see you smile…" she said.

"Oh please, a smile is a smile… now you must be starving…"

Mochi sighed and glared at Naoya. "I already spoke to my mother about you, I am aware of your intent. At the same time, she said you wouldn't be normally caught dead doing this."

He sneered a little but quickly corrected himself. "That was then, I was a curse user, now I am a Silky, there is a difference."

"Yes, but the person who was one and then became the other hasn't changed… thank you for the meal though." She took a seat at the table and partook in the feast; she has to admit it was delicious.

Midway through, someone came to the door. Naoya sneered. "Who the hell overwrote my rule!" he growled. She didn't pay any mind and continued her feast, until…

"Morning Mochi."

She froze, behind her, her mother lingered! "MOM?!"

She was surprised and yet… "Why are you here? How did you know I was here?" she asked.

Her mother smiled. "Your brother knew Hoshi took you, Rook. He passed out before he could confront him, he had a growth spurt." She explained. Her mother came to the table and helped herself to the spread as well. "Saitama thinks Hoshi is in a hoarding phase. He is gathering everything of value up for him and distancing himself from his siblings, a dragon's way of growing up." she explained.

"And?" Mochi asked, knowing there is more to this.

"You are considered one of his treasures." She said and smiled. "It's very cute… nothing has happened right?"

"God! You too!" she protested. "It's bad enough HE'S breathing down my back about that. I haven't seen Hoshi since coming here…" she paused. "Naoya, where is he?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "I know he went hunting with Toji on Wednesday, that's his hunt days with his father as well, he growing too."

Mochi paused to this and stared at her mother, who merely nodded her head. "So has Toji, he nearly stands as tall as Sukuna now."

"I KNEW IT!" Naoya cheered. "He would even surpass him!"

Mochi found her mother, staring at Naoya with an unimpressed look. "At the moment, when one becomes a dragon, they tend to surpass Sukuna who is a sorcerer… but I wouldn't count him out yet on that either…"

"Mom?"

"What are you talking about?!" Naoya demanded.

Mochi watched as her mother continued to eat the breakfast spread. "Well, let me explain. When Lady Tiamat's uncle Yggdrasil came and tried to claim Toshi's daughters for himself… it was Sukuna who stopped him from doing so." She explained.

Naoya froze. Mochi didn't know this much, she was out of the domain when it happened.

"Sukuna contained two souls of fallen dragons, who happened to have been the old dragon bastard's sons. The ones he killed ages ago, beyond time itself perhaps. I don't know, but those souls came to earth and took thousands of years to gain energy and strength, we don't know HOW they forged Sukuna, let alone how an ego like his came to be but the fact remains, dragons forged Sukuna. Granted, they were trying to make two bodies, one for each dragon until Sukuna ate the other twin in the womb…" She said. "As such, despite how he sees himself, I am certain he is capable of far more than what he realizes. He fears dragons, he respects dragons… at the same time, I think there is something about him that brings him to the point of being more than just a sorcerer."

The table fell silent.

"Mom…"

"Take into consideration… he's family now… he's under my protection and those who are within our clan who are also dragons…" she explained.

Mochi didn't realize how far the influence goes.

"So what?" Naoya demanded. "He is backed by dragons, big deal!"

"When you have a dragon at your back, your power increases greatly. You don't even realize how powerful YOU are Naoya. Despite being a Silky, you are a rarity. Hell, you can consider yourself the Satoru Gojo of the divine!" she laughed.

"What?!" he demanded. "I cook, clean and that's it!"

She nodded to this. "And yet, you are faster than before. If you are forced to fight… let's say I pity the sorcerer who goes against you who is of no relation to me or trained under me." She explained.

Mochi was surprised to how blunt she was, at the same time she peered at Naoya, he looked as if he wanted to say something but was holding his tongue.

She peered to her mother and gave a small smile. "I see how powerful a dragon's influence is… I can tell he is doing his damnest to not say something offensive to you." She whispered to her mother.

She laughed aloud. "I know Naoya wants to tell me how fat I look and I have yet to really gain weight, this was just a precaution. However it seems that it was called for, Pops is expecting." She said.

Mochi froze. So did Naoya. "Wait… YOU'RE getting the men knocked up!?"

"My mother was traumatized!"

"I knew that!" he snapped back. "Tsk, why is it that women have to have men do everything…" he muttered.

Mochi looked to her mother who sighed. "Honestly, I see where he is coming from. I feel like I have neglected Suguru, as well… I shouldn't be holding what happened to your father against him either, he was also cursed…"

Mochi nodded, just as the front door opened. Everyone paused as Hoshi returned… but he is starting to look just like his father… yet had a mullet!
