Here we are, so I wanted to get this chapter posted yesterday, but I reread it and scrapped the original draft, cause it felt like I was forcing to much of what I wanted instead of just letting the story write itself. I prefer to let characters write themselves, and I can safely say I am both happier with this, and a little put-off, but this was what Dru wanted.

Disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN TWILIGHT!

Dru hated being grounded, absolutely hated it. She was not allowed to leave her house, except for school, and then there was no phone to her name at the moment. Honestly, the week had felt like an eternity, and had it not been for her guards, she would have probably lost her mind by now. The absence of her phone was her biggest issue, she was the social butterfly of the Swan family the one thing she inherited from her mother. Dru needed the buzz of a conversation and was in desperate need of a funny YouTube video.

Alec and Felix were her saving graces in her solitude, they visited her often enough that it helped her retain some sort of normalcy, despite her confinement. She could not help but pride herself, on the fact she managed to get the former of the two hooked on Marvel movies. Although small, it was a victory in the never-ending torment of her punishment.

Demetri however was still much a mystery to her, he visited only on a few occasions, and it left her with a mix of uncertainty. She had hoped to become friends with all of her guards, but it seemed like he was keeping their relationship on the duty side, which surprised her. He was the one who seemed to be the joker initially, but he seemed to keep his distance. Then there was Jane, Dru honestly did not see her and Jane ever getting along, at least anytime soon. The smaller female with her sharp tongue, and piercing gaze, was a challenge and a constant thorn in Dru's side. Jane was just a constant riddle, and she just wanted to uncrack the code, but didn't see it happening anytime soon.

Sighing, she looked around her room. Currently, she was alone in her confinement, Dru's thoughts drifted to the Cullen's, she longed to be reunited with the bunny-slaughtering vampires. Bella had surprisingly earned her freedom through good behavior, shaking her head at the thought, Dru couldn't help but smirk. There was no way, she would ever get that lucky. She also refused to kiss up to Jacob, as their dad had asked of Bella in exchange for her freedom.

Still, as she gazed out of the window, a pang of longing entered her heart as she watched Bella climb into Edward's Volvo. The sight of her sister leaving the mind-reading vampire stirred a mix of emotions within Dru. Despite the distance between them, she raised her hand to wave, a small gesture that was returned by her sister, connecting her to the outside world briefly.

Dru jumped for a second, when a soft knock echoed through her room, drawing her attention away from the window. She turned to see her father's familiar face peering in, a mixture of concern and love in his eyes. "Hey, Dad," she whispered, her voice barely above a breath, before turning back to the departing Volvo.

"Hey, kiddo," Charlie whispered, leaning against the door frame, she knew he was watching her, however, her eyes never left the car. She noticed briefly that the car seemed to be waiting a little longer than normal at the turn.

Despite the weight of her confinement, Dru could not help but wonder why the Volvo was just sitting there, what was Edward waiting for? The unanswered questions began to swirl through her head, but after a moment her eyes began to widen.

Charlie watched her for a moment, watching as her eyes widened, before he spoke. "You are not getting your phone back," he stated firmly, his tone tinged with exasperation. Dru's shoulders slumped at the reminder of her lost connection with the world, but she briefly wondered what was going to happen next.

"But, you can go see the Cullens," He continued after a moment, her head whipped to him, and disbelief and excitement flooded her senses. "Just please stop staring out the window." Dru felt a surge of surprised joy, not expecting her father's leniency. She gave a quick nod of thanks, deciding not to question why, or what? No, she gave him a warm embrace, before rushing out the house.

Her heart raced with excitement, as she dashed out the door, running right to the silver Volvo. She was seated in the back seat in a matter of seconds, smiling at both her sister and Edward. "I missed you, mind-reader."

Edward chuckled at that, meeting her eye through the mirror. "Missed you as well, Dru."

She smiled, before turning to her sister, a mix of curiosity and disbelief filling her as she saw the knowing smile on Bella'a's face. "How long did you know?"

Bella met her gaze with a knowing look, nodding thoughtfully as she answered. "Since this morning," she replied softly. "Dad noticed how quiet you had become, and he couldn't stand to see you like that...and frankly neither could I."

Gratitude crept within Dru's heart as she absorbed her sister's words, a sense of warmth filled her as she realized it was her sister's influence, that had swayed her father. Bella had always had a way with him, and that had never been lost on Dru. "Thank you, love," she whispered, while turning her gaze towards the window, anticipation bubbling inside her as they began getting closer and closer to the Cullen's residence. "I cannot wait to see my Rose, and Lovebug of course."

As the Volvo drew closer to their destination, Dru's eyes lit up at the familiar sights. She noted quick flashes of black, had she not had a sixth sense of vampire she would have probably missed it. The black belonging to her guard, always vigilant in keeping an eye out, and protecting her.

Shaking their head calmly, "No," she admitted without hesitation, a trickle of resignation could be heard as she continued. "I prefer the company of Felix, and Alec anyway." She replied, her thoughts thinking to Jane for a brief moment, she understood the guard's animosity towards her and held no resentment. Dru figured the guard would come around on her own time, and when Jane did, Dru would be happy to give the younger-looking guard a chance.

Feeling eyes on her, brown and blue met the golden gaze of Edward without hesitation, there was a flicker of hurt in his eye. She knew what he was thinking, 'how could she give Jane a chance, but not him.' It was as plain to see, and she didn't even need to be a mind-reader to see it.

"Look," Dru sighed, taking a calculated breath. "I liked you just fine, before," she spoke, keeping her eyes locked on his. His brows bunching together in surprise, "You were supposed to be my brother, At least that was how I saw it in my mind. Bella loved you, and you loved her, that was a done deal for me." Biting her lip she considered her next words carefully. "However, that ended the day you hurt Bella." Dru finished, her blue eye hardening to ice, as she glared at him slightly.

Silence filled the car, heavy with even more unspoken words, the tension thick one could almost cut it with a knife, as they neared the Cullen house. The atmosphere began to change almost instantly, as her eyes caught sight of the property. Her heart pounding with excitement, making sure to cast the mind-reader another glare when he smirked at her. Said, the mind-reader barely parking the car, before Dru couldn't take it anymore, with almost supernatural speed, she was out of the car and bounding up the front steps. No one had any time to react, as her arms instantly wrapped around Carlisle. Her impulsive gesture caught the kindhearted vampire completely off guard, his expression filled with surprise, but there was a warmth in his eyes, as he wrapped his cold arms around her.

"I missed all of you, so much, Daddy Cullen." She whispered.

Carlisle chuckled softly at that, "It has only been a week." He murmured gently, "Do we make that much of an impact."

"You are my home, away from home," Dru replied, her voice catching with emotion as tears welled up in her eyes. She loved the Cullen family, and even if she could not forgive Edward, she still loved every one of them, her feelings cut deeper into her heart, knowing that in the coming years, she may not be able to see them...especially when she eventually moved to Italy. She felt Carlisle's arms tighten around her, a sense of comfort beginning to wash through her weary thoughts. She leaned into his embrace, and peace began to settle on her shoulders, allowing her to finally relax.

While Dru loved her father Charlie deeply, Carlisle held such a special place within her heart, that she often struggled to define. He was more than a father figure to her, he was her source of guidance and acceptance in a world that she had forced herself into.

Carlisle pulled away, offering a small smile. "It is good to see you again, come on, the rest of the family has missed you as well..." He trailed off a bit, but Dru barely noticed, she was just glad to be here. He stepped aside, and as soon as she walked in, the air suddenly felt different.

Dru's confusion grew as she stepped inside the house, expecting to see everyone's warmth radiating through the house. However, none of them were present, not even Emmett could be found, and normally he would have sped to her and spun her around in a bear hug that could knock the air right out of her lungs. In a distant room, she could hear Rosalie's voice, but that seemed to only add to her unease. Turning to Carlisle, she caught the glimpse of trepidation in his deep golden gaze, following his eye, she could see that whatever or whoever had him on edge was in the living room.

However, before she could ponder as to what could be going on, a sudden tidal wave of emotions seemed to wash over Dru. The feelings of safety and belonging that she associated with the house, seemed to have intensified, gripping at her heart with a force that left her breathless. It was as if the very walls themselves now resonated with a heightened energy, one that pulsed through her soul, taking all of her attention.

She closed her eyes, taking several deep breaths to try and squash the overwhelming feeling. A hand on her shoulder, jolted her, looking back she found it was Carlisle, he gave her a reassuring smile and a gentle nod; urging her to step further into the house. She nodded softly in response, deciding to follow his lead. Her heart continued to pound within her chest, as she delved deeper into the Cullen household.

Taking a deep breath, while walking further into the house. Her eyes moved to find Alice on top of the stairs, smiling brightly with encouragement. Offering a nod to the pixie-like Cullen, before she moved towards the living room. She could see Rose talking with someone, this someone was tall, and his hair was as bright as the fresh fallen snow. Two others were sitting on the couch, one with rich mahogany waves, that fell down his back, and then the final man, his hair was ruler straight, a deep ebony that even from her angle she could see a clip holding his hair neatly out of his face.

"Rose..." Dru whispered, and as soon as she did, all three men turned to her. Her breath was instantly taken from her, as she observed them. She had known who they were, almost instantly, the golden chains falling from their necks, with matching V's adding to her knowledge.

"Hello, mia cara." Her eyes, met the red eyes, of Caius Volturi. Her heart sped up, as she took them in, as she took her mates in.

Okay, so originally I had this long chapter written for Jane, but I found it pushed chapter 7's foreshadowing to the ground. Now, I was going to have The Kings enter the story at this time, but it was going to be much different, I also had initially thought to only have Aro be the one to greet her. However, I liked the thought of all three kings wanting to see her, that the three could not simply choose just one of them to come and see her. They all had to do it, lets be honest with how possessive vampires tend to be, I don't think that would have gone over well, even if they do all share the same mate.

Questions, Questions, Questions! XD Again, these are optional, but I reading your theories.

1) Who do you think, Dru is going to fall for first? Do you think it will be all three, or do you think she will wind up having a favorite for a while?

2) Obviously eventually the kings are going to have to go back to Volterra at some point, but do you think one of them will choose to stay behind? If so, who? And, what is your theory as to why?

Nature Faustus.
