It was getting late as Laila cant looking back at the entrance of where they were digging making Rick concerned nudging her arm. "Whats going on with you? Still thinking about what happen to the Warren." said Rick. "You can say that. I just dont want to see what is in that sarcophagus. This place is made for death for a reason." said Laila. "We cant back out of this. We found something and were gonna open that sucker in the morning." said Rick. "Youre idiots." said Laila. "What got you so worried? I know you didnt want to come here but theres gotta be a reason why." said Rick as Jonathan came back with the Warrens bag with Beni having a seat next to her. "If were gonna die then maybe ill tell you." said Laila. She then pulled out her sword that Ardeth gave her sharpening it making Beni scoot away from her then noticed Evie coming over with something in her hands. "Youre in her spot." said rick as Beni laughed. Beni yelped feeling Laila's sword being held dangerous close to his neck and ran off to his tent once Evie v sat where he was. "Flesh eaters." said Evie showing the dead bugs in her hands. "They're know for being used for torture or curses." said Laila. "Well the diggers were attacked by an ancient booby trap. So there could be a ting as curses." said Rick as a mystery wind blew against their fire. "Stop. its all made up. i dont believe in this." said Evie as Jonathan pulled his hand back from the Warrens bag scaring the girls and Rick holding his gun up. "Its broken bottle. He my have been a stinky fellow but had good taste." said Jonathan. Laila then heard Ardeth and the Medjai coming this way making her grip on her sword as they came while Rick left leaving Evie with his gun but she ended following him. She moved to a place to cover used her sword to deflect the bullets almost firing at her. Laila moved to a wall close to the entrance of the temple looking at the fight going on and plan to pull out her spare hand gun Rick kept for her.
" 'Masika.' Said mans voice. Laila turned to see a man see never met before walking over to her smiling pulling her into an embrace making her smile back. 'How are you?' Said the man looking her. 'Im well. Been sick but its normal for a woman in this kinda of condition.' Said Laila looking at her belly. 'Youre going to make a wonderful mother. Cant wait to meet them. And Ahmanet? Is she alright with you?' Said the man walking with her. 'She is perfectly fine and is very for me and my husband.' Said Laila then saw onr of the priests coming over. 'Forgive me my priest but Princess Neferiti is look for you.' Said the priest. 'Go. I'll be around.' Said Laila looking at him. 'Alright. I'll be back in a moment.' Said The man kissing her cheek and followed the priest. Laila walked down the large empty hall for some time looking out to the displays until she heard someone running. She turned around fast to see a sword going straight for her stomach making her gasped.' Laila jumped back slipping to the floor looking around for fight to be over and the Medjai gone. She got up looking around while she walked to Rick and Evie who looked at where the Medjai left. "I knew this place had treasure and those people are keeping it for themselves." Said one of the Americans. "Oh please. This place isnt holding any values or gold that you're all after. They were warning all of us to leave before we end up like the Warren or the diggers." Said Laila glaring at him. "How would you know you woman?" Saisd the man wearing a monocle and fez. "The desert people value water. Not gold. Be lucky im here otherwise she'd be more than happy to kick your ass." Said Rick holding Laila back from lunging at him. He then looked at Laila who had a confused expression on her face and zoned out. "Laila? Hey." Said Rick snapping his finger in her face. Laila blinked looking at him and sat down with Jonathan rubbing her face before looking at the fire.
"Whats going on? Where were you?" Said Rick sitting down with Evie. "I wish i knew. I just blacked out i think." Said Laila. "Do you want some water?" Said Evie. "I'll be fine." Siad Laila as Jonathan and Evie started to drink which she knows why. She later woke up from a small nap seeing Rick just going to sleep after Evie passed out on his lap. Laila quietly got and left with Medjet going to the Medjai camp seeing a few men still up. "Bring Ardeth out. I have news to tell that cant wait." Said Laila looking back to see anyone following her. "Of course." Said one of the men. Laila ran her hand through her hair thinking back about what she has been seeing making her confused about what does it have to do with her. "My love. You wanted to tell me something?" Said Ardeth. "Can we talk in your tent?" Said Laila looking at him. Ardeth nodded guiding her to his tent letting her in and sat down with her on his bed looking concerned. "My friends found him." Said Laila. "Wheres the book?" Said Ardeth. "The American curator has it but hes still sealed." Said Laila looking at her hands and her belly. "What?" Said Ardeth. "I had another vision where i believe i was talking to Imhotep but i was pregnant. I dont know but im still trying to figure these visions out." Said Laila. "Let just rest for the night. You cant get over worked up with what your dealing with and what we are doing. Please." Said Ardeth rubbing her shoulders. Laila nodded and laid down on the bed with him wrapped around her holding her close to him. She turned on her back for him to capture her lips making her smile and brought her hand to his neck to bring him close. Ardeth pulled away to let her rest her head on his chest to let his heartbeat sooth her to sleep.
