Laila hear Evie and the men talking about where the Books were located as Rick an Ardeth were on look out at the doors while Laila nervously looked at the large window of the museum seeing a mob coming this way. "You might want hurry up. We got an army." said Laila looking at the group. She looked back seeing Imhotep emerge with his face half decayed walking to the front while looking up at Laila smirking making her heart beating fast. Ardeth walked over touching her back making her jump but relaxed it was just him and pulled her away from the windows. He then lead her out once Evie finally figure where to find the Book of the Living an started running to the car after the mob broke in. After the mob broke in Laila ran with the group outside as Jonathan got the car started climbing in the back and saw Beni calling for Imhotep until she took one of her sandals throwing it at his crotch. "You're a dead man Beni!" said Laila feeling the car speeding up after Imhotep watched them escape letting out an angry screech. She saw the men chasing after them even began climbing on and started throwing them off one by one even threw a couple punches. Laila let out a scream once one of the men manage to nearly pull her off the car if Daniels didnt catch her wrists. She then use her foot to kick the ma in the face as she was being pulled up an fought off more men trying to grab her until they were force to crash due to so many men. Laila got with Evie as they were cornered the men holding their weapons and torches surrounding them until they create a path for Imhotep while Ardeth had the girls hide behind them as Imhotep emerge. "Its the creature. He's fully regenerated." said Ardeth. 'Come with me, my princess. Its time to make you mine for all eternity." said Imhotep as Beni translated. "Its for all eternity. Idiot." said Evie as she stood beside Rick. "Take my hand an ill spare your friends." said Imhotep with his hand out as Beni translated. "I dont trust him." Laila whispered while hiding behind Ardeth and Rick so Imhotep wont see her. Or so she thought.
"You dont need to be frighten, Masika. I want you to come with me as well. I'm your brother and want us to be a family once more." said Imhotep looking at Laila. Laila slowly stepped out as Ardeth had his arm out keeping her from going to him like Evie is. "You must let me go with him." said Laila looking at Ardeth. "No. We promised to protect each other especially from him." said Ardeth glaring ta Imhotep. "Im not going to have him kill all of you. He's only taking us to perform the ritual on Evie." said Laila. Ardeth looked at her seen face wiping away the fresh tears from pouring and kissed her forehead before she walked towards Imhotep. Imhotep place his hand on hers as they walked away before Ardeth or Rick could even think about charging at him. "Kill them all!" said Imhotep as the girls screamed in protest. "NO. Let go of me." said Evie struggling to get away from him. "NO! My husband and best friend is back there! Let me go. Ardeth!" Laila cried out trying get back to the group but Imhotep kept his arm wrapped around her middle. "He's not your Ariaz." said Imhotep picking her up by one arm while holding onto Evie. Rick quickly lifted up the man hole getting Jonathan to jump in than Ardeth before Mr. Bay who was killing off the me one by one to help escape telling him go without him. He jumped in covering the manhole to hearing Mr. Bay screaming until it over and ran through the sewers leading the way to find a clearing back to the car and drive out of the city. While Laila stopped struggling with Imhotep once they were away from the mob refusing to speak or even look at Imhotep the whole he tried communicating with her. She felt him pull her close to him once he transformed into a sandstorm taking them along with Beni to Hamunaptra making her black out.
Hours gone by as Imhotep dropped off Evie and Beni while he held an unconscious Laila in his arms once he he turned back. He walked past them towards the city hearing Laila waking up and looked around until she saw Imhotep holding her. She was lucky that he let her get out of his arms then looked up in the sky to see a plane flying over with Imhotep following her gaze. Imhotep looked at the desert summoning a huge sandstorm sending it their way. He kept his focus as his own face morph through the clouds as Rick fired bullets at which had no effect until Imhotep opened his mouth to trap the plane inside. "Imhotep please stop!" said Laila going towards him but Beni pulled her back until she turned around to beat him up in the sand. Evie saw the plane was losing control and ran in front of Imhotep to distract him by a kiss causing the storm to disappear. She kept on looking as the plane made and let go with Laila seeing what she did then saw the plane getting lower and lower until it crashed. "No!" Said Laila running up the hill to the crash but Imhotep grabbed forcing her to turn back to the city. "If they die. I will NEVER forgive you." said Laila with fresh tears. "I will find you a better husband after i bring back my love. You'll soon understand, Masika." Said Imhotep pulling her along with him. Evie let a breathe walking behind them leaving a barely unconscious Beni in the sand with a bruised and bloodied face moaning in pain. Once Laila was let go she walked with Evie down into the tomb where Imhotep was going until Beni finally caught to them and pressed his gun at Evie's back. "Keep moving." Said Beni pushing them towards the stairs. "I'll kill right now and Imhotep wouldnt care. Your choice." Said Laila before leaving them alone. She reached the last steps looking around until she saw Imhotep moving around the large room with water inside. Laila saw that he took out a mummy making her have flash back of a woman with straight hair with bangs wearing body paint looking at her with hatred in her eyes before she snapped out of it. "Anck Su Namun." She whispered before realizing that Imhotep vanished somewhere. Laila didnt like this and heard Evie yelling at Beni and turned to where they were until Imhotep appeared blowing a powder in her face making her fall limp into his arms. Imhotep picked her body up carrying her to the corner to chain her ankles and wrist after putting her into a sitting position and kissed her cheek and continued what he was doing.
