00:30:17, Outlaw 2-5 spots a prison camp in the desert area along the Mexico-United States Border before Tucson, Arizona that makes Ramirez see flashes of the most important moment of his relationship with Grace.

Outlaw 2-5: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking. If you look to the left, you will see a Mexican prison camp with a bunch of choppers flying around.

Bishop: Huh. Why do I get a bad feeling about this place?

Chemo: Yeah, something's not right about it.

Ramirez: *exhales* Tell me about it.

August 21st, 2015 - 04:00:14, Ft. Benning, Georgia, United States of America, after three years in the 82nd Airborne Division, 21-year-old Corporal James Ramirez completed Ranger School and just graduated RASP. As expected, his father and retired I.S.A. (Intelligence Support Activity) Operator, Command Sergeant Major Bryce Ramirez, his mother and financial analyst in New York City, Melanie Ramirez, and his 13-year-old sister, Bonnie Ramirez, are there to see his greatest accomplishment at the time.

But what he did not anticipate is Grace being there too for the same reason.

Ramirez: (flashback) *smiles* Hey, Mom, Dad, Bonnie.

[Bryce, Melanie and Bonnie hug Ramirez]

Bryce: (flashback) See, honey? I knew he'd make it. Couldn't be any prouder. *noogies Ramirez*

[Ramirez laughs]

Melanie: (flashback) I know, but passing Ranger School and RASP is not what worries me. You look so beaten up. What in God's name did they do to you, dearie? *hugs Ramirez*

Ramirez: (flashback) They made me ready for plenty more things in war. Can't thank the Ranger Regiment enough. Don't worry.

Bonnie: (flashback) Jesus Christ, dude. You'd be able to seduce every girl in high school you found hot. And remember the time I got into exercise a few years too young? Mom is so gonna fatten you up like before right now.

Ramirez: (flashback) No problem. I got a pretty good and effective training regimen to keep me in world-class athlete shape.

Grace: (flashback) James.

[Berlin's Take My Breath Away (Humming Version) plays]

Ramirez: (flashback) Grace?

Bonnie: (flashback) Is that the cute college chick you told us about?

Ramirez: (flashback) Yeah. Holy smokes. Like— How's journalism school?

Grace: (flashback) Don't worry. I passed.

Ramirez: (flashback) Ha! Congratulations, dude! I knew you could do it!

Grace: (flashback) Aww. Congratulations to you too, Army Ranger.

Ramirez: (flashback) So, are you here because a friend or family member is also here?

Grace: (flashback) *smiles* Guess again.

Ramirez: (flashback) *gasps* No way. But-But what about Fox News?

Grace: (flashback) Ever since I became enamored with journalism, I kinda didn't have a life outside of that. But when you came around, you made me realize that there's more to life than just my dream job. Sure, getting to Fox News will be difficult, but I don't want to be alone anymore either. I want the best of both worlds. So, here's the truth. I've fallen madly in love with you. I love you, James Alonso Ramirez.

[ten second pause]

[Ramirez French kisses Grace]

[Bryce and Melanie shed tears]

Bonnie: (flashback) *shakes Bryce* Oh, my God! Oh, my God! *shakes Melanie* OH, MY GOD! *joyfully screams* *giggles*

Ramirez: (flashback) I've been in love with you since the day we met in our favorite café, Grace Lorraine Cameron.

[Grace laughs]

Ramirez: (flashback) Oh, right. Mom, Dad, Bonnie, this is Grace Lorraine Cameron. The cute college chick I told you about.

Grace: (flashback) Hello.

Bryce: (flashback) Pleasure to meet you, young lady.

Melanie: (flashback) Hi. I'm Melanie. This is my husband, Bryce.

Bonnie: (flashback) *extends right hand* Bonnie Ramirez. Nice to meet you.

Grace: (flashback) *shakes Bonnie's hand* Nice to meet you too, Bonnie.

Chemo: (real-time) *pats Ramirez's left shoulder* Hey. You seeing flashbacks again, friend?

[music stops and echoes]

Ramirez: Yeah. Remember when I said that looking at Colonel Vargas triggers them?

Chemo: Yeah, of course.

Ramirez: Well, what triggered them this time was looking at that prison. Oh, I wish my gut/paranoia could tell me precisely what they were saying.

Chemo: You wanna take an educated guess?

Ramirez: Wait till the end of the debrief.

Chemo: Copy.

00:45:00, Shadow Company Headquarters, Tucson, Arizona, United States of America, present day, the "treasonous" element of Task Force 141 gets debriefed by Major Oscar Xavier 'Oxide' Longstride of Shadow Company and General Benson Guy Mattias Greenland, callsign: Overlord (voiced and played by his Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 VA: Bruce Greenwood), Hunter Team 2's old CO.

Ramirez: *salutes* Overlord, sir.

Overlord: At ease. I heard. I'm sorry.

Ramirez: Me too, sir.

Overlord: Herschel. Am I glad you're still above ground.

[Overlord and Shepherd hug]

Shepherd: Great seeing you again, Benson.

Overlord: Any clues as to why Joint Task Force 141/Los Vaqueros turned on you?

Bishop: We wish we knew. But whatever the reason is, it's being kept close to Laswell's chest. Possibly Price's as well.

Overlord: Special Agent Kate Laswell. Ever since I learned about the joint task force's fiasco, I.S.A. chatter kept mentioning her, Aegis Defence Services and Afghanistan. Nobody knows for sure why. But they believe the explanation is somewhere in Nuevo Laredo, 141 or Los Vaqueros.

Ramirez: Maybe, maybe not. While getting here, we spotted a Mexican prison complex a dozen clicks south-southeast from here. For those who don't know, I see that place every time I conduct a thorough search along the Border for Grace. And before we interrogated Kilo 2, I asked a few Task Force Los Vaqueros Operators about it.

Overlord: What did they say?

Ramirez: Well, after joking around for a bit, they told me it was maximum security until narcos from various cartels took over, and it was permanently closed. It's supposed to be abandoned. Empty.

Bishop: But we saw substantial activity over there. Like the place had been recently reopened or hadn't been shut down at all.

Shepherd: Empty? My fuckin' ass. I've seen that shithole with my own eyes.

Graves: I think I also saw captured Shadows being brought there as well.

Chemo: Yeah, I looked at it with my scope. They look like Graves' men.

Overlord: Then it seems this old prison is worth checking out. I'll get ISR over it. I'll let you know if a ground team will be needed for confirmation and possible direct action. Eye in the sky can't see everything.

12:00:01, Overlord confirms Ramirez, Graves, Bishop, Chemo and Shepherd's reports and gets back to them for an operation.

Overlord: ISR shows that you gentlemen may be right. My team and I just saw multiple American men and women getting tortured in the old prison's outdoor area. All Shadow Company.

Graves: No.

Overlord: And thermal imaging shows more barely moving in their cells. Especially this one woman who looks like she's naked.

Ramirez: What. Are. The. Odds. That figure eerily looks like Grace. Was she in there the whole time?

Overlord: I'd like to believe it as well, James. But try not to get your hopes up. You know how it goes.

Ramirez: Yes, sir. What do we know about the enemy activity there?

Shepherd: They are all composed of Mexican Army Soldiers, Los Zetas Narcos and Task Force Los Vaqueros Operators.

Chemo: True coincidences have always been rare.

Shepherd: Indeed. There's no enemy activity in Nuevo Laredo anymore. So it looks like they've captured all the surviving Shadows in the country, let alone that Godforsaken city. What's say you, Ramirez?

Ramirez: Interrogative: Why me?

Shepherd: Look around. Graves, Chemo and Bishop are looking to you for a call. And after what you've done for them, I would too.

Ramirez: I see. Then let's over get there and free them all. Dead or alive, they're going home.

Bishop: Thanks, mate.

Chemo: Thank you, friend.

Graves: Thank you, James. We owe you one.

Ramirez: It's nothing. Anything else, Generals?

Overlord: The window of opportunity won't be tight. So we can wait until it's dark before knocking. You, Graves, Chemo and Bishop should be plenty. We'll have a Shadow Company rescue team on standby for immediate MEDEVAC (medical evacuation) and CASEVAC (casualty evacuation).

Ramirez: But we can never be too sure. I want Staff Sergeant Helen Lennox and Sergeant First Class Perry Ridgefield on this.

Graves: Shadow 7-4 and Shadow 6-2? Alright, Ramirez. You got 'em.

Overlord: Very well, Staff Sergeant.

Bishop: With all those vehicles and fueling trucks, I recommend rigging them with C4. We might want to officially permanently close the place.

Chemo: Stealthily. We're gonna be under a knife's edge once inside.

Graves: Let's carry extra guns and ammo for my Shadows and breach a part of the wall for exfil. Rules of engagement?

Overlord: No quarter for all. Mexican Army, Los Zetas cartel, Task Force Los Vaqueros, hostile civilian, Task Force 141. If any of them stand in your way, the use of lethal force is authorized. They fired the first shot. We're just responding accordingly.

Ramirez: In that case, *removes Task Force 141 Patch* we are not Task Force 141 Operators anymore. *throws Task Force 141 Patch in the smart sensor trash can*

[Chemo and Bishop remove and throw their Task Force 141 Patches in the smart sensor trash can]

Graves: What are we now?

Ramirez: A team composed of Australia, Canada and the United States' best named... Rogue Team.

Overlord: Good choice. Any mission ideas go on that whiteboard. Any questions?

22:59:00, Mexico-United States Border, in order to maintain full stealth, Rogue Team has spent the entire afternoon and almost the entire night ruck marching to the Old Prison. As he gets closer to the AO, Ramirez sees a compilation of his previous flashbacks while the Dead Space 3 Launch Trailer version of Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight" plays in his head.

[wind blows]

Visceral Games: Well, I remember. I remember, don't worry.

Grace: (flashback) *extends right hand* Grace Cameron. Part-time waitress studying in journalism at Georgia State University.

Visceral Games: How could I ever forget. It's the first time...

Ramirez: (flashback) *shakes Grace's hand* Specialist James Ramirez. U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division.

Visceral Games: ...and the last time we ever met.

Grace: (flashback) Listen, I enjoy being with you. But please understand that I have to be a journalist. (echoes) But when you came around, you made me realize that there's more to life than just my dream job.

Visceral Games: But I know the reason why you keep this silence up.

[Rogue Team stops, takes a knee and looks at the surrounding footprints in the sand]

Visceral Games: No, you don't fool me. The hurt doesn't show, but the pain still grows.

Graves: They've definitely been taking my Shadows here.

Visceral Games: It's no stranger to you and me.

[Ramirez signals Rogue Team to move up]

Rogue 1, Graves, Chemo, Bishop, Shadow 7-4/Staff Sergeant Helen Lennox (voiced and played by Monica Barbaro) and Shadow 6-2/Sergeant First Class Perry Ridgefield (voiced and played by Travis Tope) then get on a hill sitting near the Old Prison.

Visceral Games: I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord.

Ramirez: Here it is.

Visceral Games: I've been waiting for the moment for all my life.

Bishop: Good security.

Chemo: But we can take 'em.

Visceral Games: Oh, Lord. Oh, Lord.

Ramirez: Patrol up ahead. Guard tower at our 1 o'clock.

--

After securing their insertion point, they use their Grapnel Launchers and Motorized Ascenders to scale up the recently cleared guard tower. Once inside, they confirm that the Old Prison's security office is close by and the place that controls all of the surveillance cameras.

Ramirez: (quietly) That should be the Security Office. *opens door*

[Vector Gen II fire]

[DD M4A1 fire]

Graves: (quietly) Clear. We got access to security cameras in here.

Perry: (quietly) Let me have a look. It seems this is the only place that can control the entire CCTV (closed-circuit television) system.

Ramirez: (quietly) (off comms) Good call on the insertion point, Overlord, Gold Eagle. (on comms) Gold Lord, this is Rogue 1. We've passed Guest. Good call on the insertion point, over.

Overlord: Roger that, Rogue 1. You're cleared for Candle.

Shepherd: Tread carefully, team. Wouldn't want to ruin the surprise, over.

Ramirez: (quietly) WILCO. Will relay when Candle is complete. Rogue 1, out.

Bishop: (quietly) Same plan?

Ramirez: (quietly) Affirmative, Bishop. You, Graves and Perry lock this office down until Chemo, Helen and I get back.

Chemo: (quietly) Our charges are set, Ramirez, Helen.

Helen: (quietly) On you, TL.

Ramirez: (quietly) See you three in a bit. Remember to engage when necessary without raising any alarms.

Graves: *nods* (quietly) Good hunting, peeps.

While Rogue 2, Rogue 4 and Perry quietly keep any and all hostiles out of the Security Office, Ramirez, Rogue 3 and Helen will plant their C4 Explosive Charges on all transports and fueling trucks in the entire Outdoor Area. During stealth phases, Hunter 2-4/Rogue 1 can sprint while crouching, which will allow him to move quickly without attracting attention.

And he uses a wide range of different takedowns with the use of his MTech USA MT-575 Fixed Blade Knife, X-45 Tactical and bare hands. He can even assassinate two targets standing next to each other simultaneously on terra firma and while dropping down on them from an elevated position.

The reason behind his improved tactics is the same as before. Rogue Team even has an X-Ray Vision mode in their ANVIS10 Ground Panoramic Night Vision Goggles that will let them see through opaque obstacles and spot anything made of metal within 30 yards.

Five minutes of taking combined Mexican Army, Los Zetas, Task Force Los Vaqueros patrols out of the fight with bullets, knives, neck snaps and neck chops later, Ramirez, Chemo and Rogue 6 successfully rig all of the enemy's vital and volatile assets to blow, and regroup with Graves, Bishop and Rogue 5 back in the Security Office.

Ramirez: (quietly) Rogue 1 to Gold Lord, we've passed Candle. Moving to the Main Building for Corkscrew. How copy, over?

Overlord: Good copy, Rogue 1. Passed Candle.

Shepherd: Equip the corkscrew when ready, Rogue Team, over.

Once together again, they move into the Old Prison's main building and clean it up while making sure that the alert levels are still normal. The first things to do inside are lock all entrances and exits, place a rifle and four magazines outside the cells for the Shadow Company prisoners once free, and investigate the lockup that is holding the mentioned naked woman.

Graves: X-Ray shows the naked lady's in this one. You ready?

Ramirez: *nods* (hand signal) One, two, three, open it.

[Graves opens the cell door]

Ramirez: Clear. *checks naked woman*

[Elysium Soundtrack's Breaking A Promise plays]

Ramirez: Oh, my God. Grace!

Grace: *painfully groans* James?

Ramirez: Yeah. It's me, honey.

Grace: My Fox News friends. They're in the cell next to me.

Ramirez: Okay.

Chemo: I'll get them out. Come on, Helen.

Ramirez: Oh, Grace. I'm so sorry it took me this long. I should've infiltrated this place sooner.

Grace: It's okay. It's okay. I don't blame you for anything that's happened to me, to us. No way you could've predicted this.

After finding out that a badly wounded Grace Cameron and her Fox News team are here, Rogue 1 immediately heals and covers his girlfriend up with his Orange and Black Waterproof Insulated Hunting Jacket and U.S. Woodland Crye Precision G3 Combat Pants. While Chemo frees Tucker Carlson himself, Jimmy, the boom microphone handler and audio specialist, and Karen, the camerawoman.

Ramirez then carries Grace out and learns a bitter truth from her.

Tucker Carlson: Grace?

Jimmy and Karen: Grace!

Helen: Shh. We're not safe yet. And don't swarm her.

Grace: Oh, I wish I could kiss you.

Ramirez: Sorry. *takes Scarf and Oakley Sunglasses off* I'm here. You ca—

Grace: No. I mean, I really wish I could without harming you.

Ramirez: What?

Grace: I have AIDS.

Ramirez: They raped you?

Jimmy: Yeah, they did. We tried to stop them, but-but—

Ramirez: (off comms) I'm not mad at any of you. There's no way you could've stopped them. (on comms) Gold Lord, this is Rogue 1. Come in, over.

Shepherd: We have you, son. What's the SITREP, over?

Ramirez: We've passed Corkscrew and confirmed that the naked unknown is Golf Charlie. We also found her Foxtrot November team. Be advised, Golf Charlie is medically fucked up. We need that MEDEVAC and CASEVAC now, over.

Overlord: WILCO, Rogue 1. MEDEVAC and CASEVAC are spinning up and locking and loading for an air assault. ETA— Hold, Rogue 1. We may have a situation here, over.

Grace: Not me, James. Not me. This prison's control room. The control room. Go there.

Ramirez: The control room on the second floor?

Grace: Yeah. Managed to escape as far as there until some damning information caught my eye. Until they brought me back in that shithole and made sure I couldn't escape anymore. *painfully groans*

Ramirez: The control room it is then. Bishop, Perry, take us there. Graves, Chemo, Helen, keep Tucker, Jimmy and Karen safe. We're gonna get you all out of here. Just standby. We gotta get on the door controls.

But in spite of the excruciating pain and the fact that she is dying, the News Reporter directs Rogue Team to the Main Building's control room. From there, they spot the control panel that opens and closes the cell doors, hunker down, and gather every drive and paper file that can be found.

Unfortunately, the bad news does not end as Overlord and Shepherd updates them on their situation.

Overlord: Rogue Team, this is Gold Lord. The MEDEVAC and CASEVAC's air assault is delayed at this time. I say again, air assault is delayed at this time.

Bishop: Rogue 4 to Gold Lord, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (What the fuck?). What do you mean "delayed", over?

Shepherd: Some assholes from the State Department have barged in and are telling us that we are not authorized to assault the Old Prison. We're trying to shut their bullshit reasons out. ETA: 10 minutes.

Ramirez: Bullshit, 10 minutes, Gold Lord. Golf Charlie is gonna die if she doesn't get immediate medical attention now. Get on it ASAP, over.

Shepherd: Understood. We're trying to speed up now, over.

Ramirez: Shit. Hang in there, Grace. Hang in there.

Grace: Still with you, James. For now, at least.

Ramirez: No, don't say "For now". You'll make it. You hear me? You'll live.

Karen: Do you have any helicopters coming, James? Did you call any in?

Ramirez: I did, Karen. But we have to wait. The State Department is stopping them from helping us.

Tucker Carlson: Oh, I got a bad feeling about this.

Grace: That makes two of us. Gold Lord's situation sounds like it's got Deep State written all over it.

Graves: (off comms) Jesus Christ. (on comms) Gold Lord, Rogue 2. Where the fuck's the MEDEVAC and CASEVAC? Let's go.

Chemo: Rogue 3 to Gold Lord, acknowledge.

Bishop: Gold Lord, this is Rogue 4. Acknowledge Rogue 2's transmission, over.

Helen: Rogue 6 to Gold Lord, acknowledge Rogue 2's transmission, over.

Perry: Gold Lord, Rogue 5. Acknowledge, over.

Grace: James. James!

Ramirez: Not now, Grace. Just rest.

Jimmy: Come on, Grace. Stay with us.

Grace: James! *holds onto Ramirez's head* Please listen. Please... listen.

[Ramirez holds onto Grace]

Grace: It's too late for me... but not for Tucker, Jimmy, Karen, the other Americans in those cells, and the information you just got. The West and its people need you all more than I do. *smiles* It's okay. I'm ready. Ever since you came back to my life. Thank you, James Alonso Ramirez. Being together was a gift.

[Ramirez and Grace hug and touch foreheads]

Grace: I love you. (the last breath)

[song ends]

Ramirez: *breath trembles* I love you too, Grace Lorraine Cameron. Grace? Grace? Grace? *shakes Grace's body* Grace? *cries*

[Graves, Chemo, Bishop, Perry and Helen take their Ops-Core FAST Carbon High Cut Helmets off]

[Tucker Carlson and Jimmy bow their heads]

[Karen and Helen cover their mouths]

Ramirez: *controls breathing* *sniffles* *wipes tears* Be free. Be safe. I'll see you up there. *closes Grace's eyes*

Shepherd: We're sorry, James. We couldn't stop the State Department from shutting us down for good.

Overlord: Oxide is trying to discreetly deploy the MEDEVAC and CASEVAC, but... *sighs* we don't have any guarantees.

Ramirez: It's okay, Gold Lord. We tried. *equips DD M4A1* *equips C4 Explosive Charge detonator* Rogue Team, hold here, secure her and her friends, and prepare to free the Shadows on my mark. Chemo, Helen, give me your detonators. I'll make sure we are NOT losing one more of our friends.

AIDS and multiple internal injuries, medical problems that combat medics are not equipped for, ultimately kill Grace Cameron in Ramirez's arms. And the U.S. Department of State succeeds in stopping Overlord, Shepherd and the Shadow Company rescue team dead in their tracks.

After a brief moment of mourning, Rogue 1 equips his only unsuppressed weapon, orders Graves, Chemo, Bishop, Perry and Helen to hold in the Main Building and secure Grace, Tucker Carlson, Jimmy and Karen, gets the planted C4s' detonators, and lights the Old Prison on fire. He also gets outside and slaughters every Mexican Army Soldier, Los Zetas Narco and Task Force Los Vaqueros Operator in the AO with everything he has.

With horror-esque, choir-backed music playing in the background because of the rudely awakened hostiles being scared shitless of the brutality Ramirez is showing them. As he shreds, disembowels and sets every enemy Mexican on fire without even saying anything or expressing his emotions loudly despite their desperate pleas for mercy when mortally endangered.

Less than ten minutes of lightning-quick yet inhuman murder later, he gives the signal to free all captured Shadows. Once outside, everyone, including Overlord, Shepherd and Oxide, who has recently arrived with the MEDEVAC and CASEVAC, realizes that Rogue 1 had just killed all hostiles in the Old Prison by himself.

Oxide: Rogue Team, this is Oxide. We have visual on you. No hostile movement detected. Breaching your insertion point now. Stand clear and meet us outside, over.

[Hydra 70s launch]

Shadow Company Mercenaries: Come on now. Time to go home.

Ramirez: That way. Go on. I got you covered.

Shadow Company Mercenaries: Thank you, Staff Sergeant. Thanks, Hunter 2-4.

Graves: Ramirez? James?

Ramirez: Old Prison's secure. Swept from top to bottom. No survivors.

Chemo: I don't blame you.

Bishop: Neither do I.

Perry: We would've done the same if it were our loved ones.

Helen: Feel a little better?

Ramirez: (off comms) Yeah, a little. (on comms) Gold Lord, this is Rogue 1. We've passed Fireworks. Say again, we've passed Fireworks. Oxide and the Shadow Company rescue team are right on time, over.

Overlord: Acknowledged, Rogue 1. Passed Fireworks. We saw your handiwork from up here.

Shepherd: Outstanding, Rogue Team. Especially you, Rogue 1. Bravo Zulu, son, over.

Ramirez: Tango Mike, Gold Lord. We're RTB. See you soon for an immediate debrief. Rogue 1, out.

Overlord: Understood, Rogue 1. Come on home.

Shepherd: We'll be waiting. Gold Lord, out.

Graves: Oxide. Is the State Department the reason why you're here?

Oxide: Yes, sir. And the fact that we won't be going back to HQ for the debrief because of those spooks.

Ramirez: Keeping what we just got from the Control Room as far away from them as possible?

Oxide: Yeah. Gold Eagle, Overlord and I know a place. This chopper's ours, hop in.

Bishop: The Shadows?

Oxide: They'll be fine. State Department's expecting us, not them.
