El Morro and his friends are now on their way to the opening ceremony. The ceremony will be held at Jardins du Trocadéro as a matter of fact. It is where the Eiffel Tower is located of course. It is not like the other Olympic Games where the opening ceremony usually held at the stadium by the way. Let's hope that El Morro and his friends will make it to the opening ceremony in time.
"Morning, Di." said El Morro.
"Good morning, El Morro." said Diana. "Did you have a good night sleep?"
"I sure did." said El Morro. "In fact, today is the opening ceremony."
"I heard about that." said Diana. "It won't be held at the stadium."
"I didn't know that." said El Morro.
"It will be held at Jardins du Trocadéro and the Seine." said Sue.
"That is where the Eiffel Tower is located." said Nancy.
"We better get going." said El Morro. "We don't want to be late for the opening ceremony."
At the opening ceremony, El Morro and his friends have arrived at Jardins du Trocadéro.
"Here we are." said El Morro. "Jardins du Trocadéro."
"Who is that?" Sue asked.
"That is the president of France." said El Morro. "His name is Emmanuel Macron."
"I heard that they would include breakdancing for the first time." said Nancy.
"I don't think we did breakdance before." said El Morro. "It is unfortunate that is the last Olympic Games held during the IOC presidency of Thomas Bach."
El Morro and his friends saw a retired French athlete who is holding the torch arriving at Jardins du Trocadéro.
"He's here to light up the cauldron." said El Morro. "I hope lights up the cauldron carefully."
"I hope so too." said Sue.
A retired French athlete lights up the cauldron and the Summer Olympics has finally begun. Then, the crowd cheered for him.
"The games have been officially underway." said El Morro. "Let's hope that we can win some medals."
"Especially, the breakdancing competition." said Sue.
The Summer Olympics have officially begun. See what happens in the next chapter of this story.
