Disclaimer: Thanksgiving chapter! If it were Christmas, we could've farmed up Christmas in July jokes lol. But anyway, let's see what Scamp and his family get up to on this wonderful holiday!
Also, I don't own any Disney characters.
Walton View
Season one Episode fifteen: Somewhat Unexpected Guest
Scamp and his family were setting up for Thanksgiving at the Wolf House, but as Scamp set the last plate down, he ended up stubbing his toe on the table as soon as he turned. "Ow!" After grabbing his paw, he ended up falling back and rolling over the chair he was behind. Lady heard this as she was preparing the food and looked in Scamp's direction. He stood up after falling on his back and assured Lady he wasn't hurt. "I'm good!"
Scamp checked to make sure every plate was set before heading back over to Lady. "Thanks for setting the table, Scamp. I would've asked your father to do it if he didn't get that business call."
"Always happy to help, mom!" Scamp exclaimed, and then he talked about how excited he was to eat all of the food. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, Hawaiian rolls, and pumpkin pie; he couldn't wait! "If family is the best part about Thanksgiving, then the food has to be the second best." Lady kissed Scamp's cheek affectionately before he admitted to something else about today that was on his mind. "I can't help but feel like I've forgotten something, though."
Lady put the turkey in the oven, setting the timer as she commented on what Scamp might have forgotten about. "I'm sure you'll remember it soon."
"It's clearly not that important if you can't." Collette chimed in as she was heard coming into the kitchen. "Also, I think I saw Buster's car outside. What's your junkie bitch friend doing here?"
"Hey! Angel is NOT a junkie!" Scamp shouted, walking up to Collette and getting her face over it. "She's the best girl friend in the world, and you won't talk about her like that!"
Lady walked up to Scamp and put a paw on his shoulder to address his mistake. "It is surprising, Scamp. Does this have something to do with what you forgot?"
Scamp started to look remorseful as he realized his failure to ask Tramp and Lady about this. "Um... yeah."
Outside, Angel was getting ready to head in, looking nervous as she did. Buster attempted to lower his paw down to her butt, keeping it by her side when she looked at him sternly. "That's low enough, Buster." Buster nodded in response before Angel commented on the situation. "My first normal Thanksgiving. At least it's with someone I know won't abandon me."
"I will never, abandon you, Angel baby." Buster informed Angel, despite her rolling her eyes at Buster calling her 'baby'. "You'll always be my girl."
"I am NOT, your girl!" Angel exclaimed, opening up the door and heading out of the car. "I don't belong to anyone." Angel slammed the door behind her before heading up to Scamp's house. Inside, he was heard apologizing profusely. Angel couldn't quite make it out, being too focused on making a good impression. She breathed in through her nose, and out with her mouth, before making the decision to go in. "Today... you're normal. And with someone who sincerely, loves you."
Angel knocked on the door with Lady answering it, smiling when she saw Angel. "Hello, Angel. What a surprise."
Angel smirked to Scamp as she commented on that. "Add that to the list of stuff I'm thankful for." Scamp chuckled nervously at Angel's smirk, having not exactly planned for this himself.
Scamp and his family were in the living room as Angel was in Scamp's room, allowing Scamp to express his thoughts on the situation in peace. "And I know I should've told you guys before I invited her. I wasn't even thinking when I did it; I just... did it! I meant to tell you guys, but I kept forgetting." Tramp rubbed Scamp's head so he didn't start feeling stupid. He knew his son's habit of forgetfulness was something he struggled to control. " I... I think I like Angel. As more than a friend. A similar kind of love to my love for Oliver... but different."
Collette snorted before calling out what was, in her mind, a poor choice of love for Scamp. "You're in love with that knife wielding psychopath?"
"Collette." Tramp warned sternly, and then he expressed joy in Scamp finding his first love. "My Whirlwind is growing up so fast."
Lady agreed with that, but still found it important to address Scamp's mistake in all of this. "We won't send Angel home, Scamp. I can tell she was looking forward to this. Just remember to tell us next time, okay?"
"Okay. I will." Scamp said, before expressing doubt in himself over that. "At least I HOPE I will."
"Whoa, hold the shit!" Collette shouted, clearly being annoyed by Angel getting to stay. "I can't invite any of MY friends over, but Angel gets to stay because Scamp forgot to tell you about her coming!?"
"It's not that, Collette. Scamp told us a lot about Angel, and she's been through a lot." Lady explained, hoping that this would give Angel a sense of what family felt like. "She looks like she could use the comfort of a real family. Even if it's for a holiday visit."
"But does it have to be OUR family!?" Collette shouted, storming off as she cursed at Scamp. "Dickhole!"
Lady went after Collette as she stormed upstairs with Annette snarking about the situation. "That was a tranquil response."
Danielle wasn't sure what that word meant, just like most of Annette's fancy words. "What does tranquil mean?"
"It means calm. As in, the opposite of Collette." Annette explained, allowing Danielle to let that sink in. "Also, good call not mentioning that she was grounded at the time. Any unintentional implication of subjecting blame onto her would've only escalated the situation to catastrophic levels." Tramp laughed a bit, having to agree with Annette on that one after she said it in her own way.
Scamp felt bad for upsetting Collette, even though she just swore at him. Tramp was there to comfort Scamp as he beat himself up over this. "I'm such an asshole."
"Hey hey hey, no you're not." Tramp assured Scamp, knowing he didn't want to upset anyone. "Forgetting something isn't the same as being mean. It's a lesson that helps you do better next time." Scamp hoped that was the case. He couldn't tell if there WAS a difference sometimes.
Lady was talking to Collette in her room, trying to be sympathetic about her frustrations regarding Angel being at the house. "I know none of us were expecting Angel to be here, and I can understand being frustrated about it." Collette gave Lady a deadpan expression as she assured her that everything would be okay. "I promise we'll still make this Thanksgiving great. Name something you wanna do, and we can make it happen."
Collette thought for a moment before making her decision with glee. "Let me throw Angel out of the window?"
"Er, no." Lady denied, causing Collette's face to drop as Lady explained why they were letting Angel stay. "I know you don't like Angel, but she means a lot to your brother. And regardless of how we found out, she's still a guest in our house. And you know how we feel about guests."
Collette lied down with her head on her pillow as she gave her own version of what Lady just said. "Translation. You wanna suck up to Scamp again by letting his stupid junkie friend piss us off all day."
Lady could see that Collette wasn't going to be civil in this conversation, so she saw herself out while she cooled off. "We'll continue to talk when you're ready to be more respectful. You can still leave your room if you want." Lady left the girls' room with Collette looking at her phone to find a photo of her and her cheer squad. In particular, she looked at a Portuguese Water Dog who was on her squad. It fueled her bitterness before she threw her phone on the ground and got up to leave. At least leaving her room would mean she wasn't angry by herself.
Scamp and Angel were playing video games as they waited for the food when Scamp saw Angel sitting by the window. Since it was Angel's turn, Scamp decided to go and talk to her about what happened. "I think I should talk to her."
"I don't, but I probably won't finish this level before you do." Angel said, allowing Scamp to head over to Collette. "Don't block my view, dude!"
Scamp went over to Collette to properly apologize for any upset he caused for her. "I'm sorry if I upset you, Collette."
"You did." Collette informed Scamp rudely, not even looking at him as she sulked. "If I wasn't grounded, I could've invited Misty here to at least try and not let today annoy me."
Scamp knew Misty as a Portuguese Water Dog on Collette's cheer squad. He put his front paws on the window seat as he addressed Collette's feelings sympathetically. "Yeah. I know what you mean." Scamp looked at Collette as he brought up what was upsetting her. "It can be hard when it feels like people don't respect you." That obviously wasn't the case in how Tramp and Lady viewed Collette, but he knew that's how she felt at that moment.
Collette got hostile again, glaring at Scamp as she dismissed his attempt to comfort her. "Why do you care!? Every time you do something wrong, they just brush it off!" Collette got up and stormed off after one more comment. "And whenever I screw up, I get grounded just like that!"
Scamp sighed before heading back over to Angel, who gave her thoughts on the situation. "Bitch's gotta bitch, I guess. At least you tried."
"Yeah." Scamp watched Angel play her game as he requested Angel's thoughts on the situation. "Be honest, Angel. Why do you think Collette's so mean to me all the time?"
"It's gotta be insecurities." Angel responded, showing that she's been observing Collette's behavior quite a bit since they met. "No one can be that bitchy all the time and not feel insecure about herself. At least that's what I've seen from that Life Is Strange game I saw you play one time." Scamp started to think about that while watching Angel play the game. He determined that it was best to leave Collette alone for now. She clearly wasn't in the mood to talk.
Soon after that, Scamp was playing with Angel and Tramp outside, seemingly wrestling with each other. Angel was able to hold Scamp down pretty well, up until Tramp gently grabbed Angel and pinned her to the ground. The three of them laughing together made Lady smile. She loved seeing her family play together. Danielle taking score was also a cute sight. Tramp kept Angel pinned down as Scamp tried to sneak up on him from behind. However, Angel managed to successfully punch Tramp in the gut. Tramp's butt was shown as Angel's punch led to...
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT
...a loud and bassy ten second fart in Scamp's face, making Tramp's butt vibrate as he hit Scamp with a yellow cloud of rotten eggs. Scamp coughed from the fart and wafted it away, letting Angel up as Tramp apologized for the fart. "Sorry, Whirlwind. "I had a gut feeling about that one."
"I'll say. That must be why they don't allow punches in wrestling." Scamp chimed in, leaving Angel to snicker at her cheat move.
Danielle then spoke up to call out Angel for cheating. "Disqualified!" Scamp, Angel, and Tramp couldn't help laughing at how much fun they were having.
As the three continued laughing, Lady closed the window while checking on the food so the fart gas didn't come into the house. Collette, who was also in the room, complained about their playtime. "Those three, are gross."
"They are. But at least they know to keep it to themselves." Lady replied, laughing a bit at how childish her son and husband were sometimes.
After the gassy wrestling fun outside, Scamp, Angel, and Tramp all took a quick shower each, and Annette was showing Scamp and Angel something in hers and Scamp's room. It was her first actual invention; a little turkey robot who did a funny little dance before everyone ate dinner. Scamp couldn't help laughing as Angel expressed how much it impressed her. "That's really cool, Annette! Do you make stuff like this often?"
"Thank you, Angel. And no, this is my first time." Annette revealed, and when the turkey finished, she put it away to save it for dinner. "I knew my remarkable intelligence on its own wouldn't be enough to justify creating inventions. So I practiced my craft until I could ensure success."
"Mom and dad took Annette to get an IQ test before we moved to Walton View." Scamp explained, still being amazed by how high the IQ was. "I think they said it's somewhere in the two hundreds."
"Two hundred and four to be exact." Annette clarified. "Sadly, I was aiming for a 205. Maybe next time."
Angel found herself impressed before suddenly getting a craving for some soda. "Hey, I'm gonna go get a soda now." As she started to walk off however... "You guys wanna-" she accidentally stepped on something, and when she looked down, it was revealed that she stepped on Collette's phone.
Angel already felt awful for breaking something from one of Scamp's sisters, but Scamp's reaction, along with Annette's shock, showed how worse it was gonna get. "Oh shit."
Collette went into her room looking for her phone, which Angel stepped off of to look at the damage of. "Annette, where's my phone? I wanna text-" Collette gasped when she saw what happened, rushing over to the three as Angel showed remorse. "What the hell did you do!?"
"I'm so sorry, Collette!" Angel apologized, showing that even though she didn't like Collette, she didn't take pleasure in breaking her stuff. "I was about to leave to get a soda and I didn't know your phone was right there."
"Well, maybe, you should watch, where you're going!" Collette snapped, and what she said next hurt Angel quite a bit. "I think I can see why Buster was so willing to let you stay over."
"Collette, shut up!" Scamp shouted as he comforted Angel after that last comment. "It's just a cracked screen; mom and dad can get that fixed!"
"For both of your sakes, I hope they do." Collette said coldly, and then she walked off to complain to her parents. "Mommy! Daddy! Scamp's fellow idiot just stepped on my phone!"
Angel took some deep breaths as Annette assured her she was doing great. "You're not a burden in our house, Angel. One mistake won't change that." Scamp and Angel hoped that was the case with Collette too. She could be very spiteful when it came to stuff like this. As creeped out as she was by Buster, the implications of what Collette just said hit home with Angel. It seemed to have trigger whatever she went through before.
A little bit later, Collette was then shown listing all of the things she hates about Angel. While Angel was in the room, watching TV with Scamp and his other sisters. "Oh; and don't even get me STARTED on what annoys me about you the most! Scamp never had the nerve to fart in my face before. But the fact that you did is on a whole different level of gross!" Angel couldn't help laughing at the first time she farted on Collette. "Four times already, you've made me need an extra bath! And as much as I love them, I only need one bath a day!"
Angel was getting pretty tempted to make it five with that one. Danielle seemed worried and spoke about something relating to the scenario. "It was just an accident, Collette."
"An accident that cost me mint condition phone time!" Collette stated, and then she stormed off as she stated something else. "Mom and dad had better do something about you when they get back from Oliver's!"
As soon as Collette went for the backyard, Scamp and the others heard a knock on the window. Scamp went over to it and opened it up when he saw Oliver there. "Hey Oliver."
"Hey Scamp. I heard Tramp and Lady mention what was happening and thought I should check in." Oliver explained, wanting to help out as much as he could. "You want me to talk to Collette?"
"Thanks, Ollie, but I don't want to make you fix my problems." Scamp admitted, and then he showed that despite his flaws, he was capable of thinking deeply. "Besides. I think talking to Collette would work better with someone who knows her as well as family."
"As in... her own family." Scamp nodded in response as Oliver then spoke again. "Good luck. At this point, you're walking into fire."
"I always do." Scamp responded, fist bumping Oliver before heading off to talk to Collette.
Angel stepped up to see how the talk would go with Annette and Danielle wishing her luck as she did. "I'm gonna get a closer look at this. Good seeing you, Oliver." Oliver waved to Angel and Scamp's sisters before closing the window and heading home.
Collette was by herself in the backyard, and when Scamp came out from the kitchen door, he began after she sighed. He knew why Collette was in a bad mood on that day specifically, but she was attacking him and Angel more than usual. Especially Angel. It made him think about how their relationship has always been. "Collette. Talk to me."
Collette turned around, but her words to Scamp weren't exactly ones of willingness to talk. "Why should I?"
"Because I'm tired of fighting all the time!" Scamp exclaimed, showing how exhausted he was with Collette mistreating him. "I can deal with you insulting me, making that stupid list of things I do that annoy you, and even you blaming me for our move here. And I'm still trying to figure out how that last one makes sense." Collette rolled her eyes as Scamp made one more statement. "But the way you're treating Angel right now is not, okay. I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys she was coming, but if you're pissed at me, then don't take it out on Angel."
Angel was watching from the window, wanting to see how Scamp did in this talk as Collette responded. "You figured it all out, haven't you. Guess you CAN think big."
"Yes. What else could it have been?" Scamp asked, which led to him speaking up about how poorly Collette treated him. "For the past four years, you've treated me like crap. And now that's carried over to my friends!" It was clear that Scamp was the most upset about Collette going after his friends. However, instead of getting angry, he started to question if he was truly responsible for Collette's treatment of him. "Did I... did I do something?"
"Yeah." Collette confirmed, and what she said in just three words had to be the worst thing she'd ever said to scamp. "You were born!"
Scamp's heart sank in that moment, and Angel was left infuriated, repulsed, and confused by what Collette just said. Scamp held back his tears and spoke up before turning around. "Wow. That's pretty heavy."
Scamp turned around and went for the porch, but not before Angel tried to comfort him. "Scamp!" Without thinking, Scamp shoved Angel to the ground. She quickly got back up and saw Scamp go inside and slam the door. Inside, the smashing of a plate, throwing of a chair, and breaking of a handrail bar were heard as Angel walked over to Collette in a rage.
After Scamp screamed at the top of his lungs before he began crying and running to his room, Angel angrily confronted Collette. However, she avoided losing her cool, knowing Collette wouldn't listen if she screamed. "The two of you were born in a set of Quadruplets, dumbass. Wouldn't that mean YOUR birth was a mistake too?"
"No, my birth was perfect." What Collette said next was what led to Angel reaching her breaking point with her. "And if it weren't for him, my life probably would be too." Collette's hypocritical comment at the end was enough to make Angel snap. Not out of anger specifically, as she was able to avoid shouting. But if there was any patience left for her when it came to Collette, it was long gone. She didn't know having siblings could be like this. Collette and Mooch were great examples of bad siblings.
And Angel was done letting the former get away with her attitude.
Having lost all patience with Collette, Angel avoided shouting, but still gave a firm tone. "You know what? You can eat shit, and die." Angel then shoved Collette to the ground with her right paw alone, and then she started telling her off while mocking her behavior. "And boo hoo, aww, I had to move. Grow the hell up Collette. Your problems aren't a free pass to cruelty." Colette looked at Angel and started to get angry and annoyed. "You say you're a victim, but you're actually a sponge for drama who feeds off of taking her problems out on others. Especially Scamp."
Angel continued to dig into Collette and her insecurities, not holding anything back. "You constantly whine and insult people over the smallest setbacks in your life as if the world's against you, making it clear that you're an insecure, entitled bitch. Especially with Scamp. You constantly treat him like he's the biggest problem in your life, all while ignoring your bitchy attitude. Scamp probably sees it now too. You have no right to shame me either. Even after you insulted my living situation, I never went after you."
Colette rolled her eyes as Angel continued telling her off. "Because unlike you, I have some incentive to not be a dickhole when things don't turn out like my perfect little Princess fairytale." Angel then gave Collette one final stab to her ego, one that she couldn't show anything but shock towards. "Ya know, maybe if you weren't such a whiny, greedy, and insecure bitch, Tramp wouldn't have felt the need to fuck you over."
The shock on Collette's face said it all, and Angel didn't look back when she walked over to the backyard steps. She headed inside without saying a word, making it her top priority to find Scamp and comfort him. Now, Colette was all alone with her thoughts. Angel really dug into her with that one. A part of her wanted to come up with something to tell Angel off with herself. But she didn't think she'd be able to top that. Then, she looked at another part of herself. The part that reflected on her words. Was Angel right about her projecting her insecurities onto others?
Angel was heard knocking on Scamp's door, and when she got no response, she let herself in, knowing Scamp would be hiding in here. She didn't see him on his bed, so she spoke up to see if he would respond. "Scamp!? Are you in here!?" Angel walked over to Scamp's closet and saw that he wasn't in there. She was already worried about him, but she worried he would get sadder if she didn't check on him successfully. "It's me, Angel!"
"Scamp's not here." Scamp said from under his bed, and his voice was a little muffled. Angel walked over to his bed after he revealed his location. "Scamp's in blanket town."
"Well, can Scamp come OUT of blanket town?" Angel asked politely, and she sat down beside Scamp's bed to see what he would do. Scamp rolled out from under his bed, allowing Angel to start the conversation. "You feeling any better?"
Scamp sat up and sat next to Angel. His face made it clear that he was done crying... or at least he was done with the loud part. "No." Scamp was still trying to process what Colette told him in the backyard. "I don't get it, Angel. Why does Colette hate me? I know there are gonna be kids who don't like me, but she's my sister."
Angel didn't know if she'd have the answer to that. She was an only child after all. Still, it was worth a shot at least. After all, she wanted to be there for her friend. "I'm not sure, Scamp. She's obviously insecure, but if what you said is true, then her hate must run deeper than that."
Scamp's question after hearing that was heartbreaking to Angel. "So... something from four years ago MADE me being born a bad thing?"
"Scamp." Angel didn't know how to find the right words to say. She had her own problems with life that made her wonder why SHE was born. Actually, she started thinking that maybe, just maybe, bringing them up might help. "I don't know if she stopped wanting you as a sister for some reason, or no reason, or if she was just born rotten. Some people don't realize their worst attributes until they grow up a little more." Scamp looked at Angel, who looked at him as she kept going. "But I DO know how it feels when someone... doesn't want you."
Scamp scooted over to Angel, wiping the tears from his eyes before getting ready in case he had to comfort her. "Does that mean you had a family?"
A tear dropped from Angel's face before she confessed to Scamp what now, only Buster knew about her. "Actually... I had five families." Scamp was stunned when he heard that. He knew being adopted was a thing, and that it technically gave you a second family. But five? What led to someone having that many families? "I was left at an orphanage as soon as I was born. No note was left, and all I had was the people who looked after me. At least, until I was five. Someone finally adopted me." Angel smiled briefly. "And I felt like I was on top of the world!"
Her smile sank as Angel looked back on the first failure of her family life. "But it... didn't last. I don't know if you noticed, but I'm not the best at handling it when someone I get to know is going somewhere else." Scamp continued to listen as Angel continued. "Eventually, she grew tired of it. A month later to be exact. And then, the next four families I was abandoned from went down. The second one happened when I was seven, and it only lasted for a week. He... he started hitting me. And I panicked."
Scamp took Angel's paw as Angel continued. It felt ironic to her. She told this story to Scamp to help him see he wasn't alone, and now SHE was the one who needed comfort. "I called the cops on him after I saw someone across the street get arrested for beating his wife. Looking back... I'm wondering if I went too far."
"Parents aren't allowed to hit their kids!" Scamp told Angel, knowing that she did the right thing there. "Mom and dad never tried to hurt me. If your second family loved you, your dad wouldn't have hit you."
"Then I'm right in thinking he wasn't much of a 'father' now." Angel said, and then she got back to her story. "Anyway, my third adoption happened when I was nine. This one lasted longer than the first one, but only by a week. Total clean freak. If I ever farted or burped, or anything gross, she'd act like it was the plague. It was so annoying." Angel's lip quivered as she remembered the fourth one. "And the fourth one... they abandoned me after they finally had a kid of their own after six months."
Scamp placed another paw on Angel's as she talked about the last adoption she had. "After that, there was the fifth family. You know how we broke into G.P.'s office to get my bandana back?"
Scamp quickly figured out what Angel was getting at with that. "Is your bandana... a gift from your last family?"
Angel nodded her head yes before she started to shed more tears. "She had cancer. And she died two weeks after adopting me. She said her last wish was to give someone a happy life before passing on." Angel then revealed how she interpreted her death. "But it looks like the world wanted to take it away from me." Scamp started wiping Angel's tears, much to her appreciation. "I still remember the last words she shared with me when I held her paw in that hospital bed." Her voice started to crack as she repeated them. "At least I went out fighting... beside you."
Angel couldn't hold herself back anymore, and her tears started going down all the way as Scamp wrapped his arm around her. She then started to feel bad for taking away from Scamp's pain. "I'm sorry. I was supposed to help you feel better; not flex on your sadness."
"Better than trying to flex on my anger." Scamp joked tenderly, allowing Angel to cry a bit more.
Angel wiped her tears as Scamp helped before she mentioned something else. "That's why I'm sticking around with Buster. He's my longest one yet, and I can't lose another chance. Not for anything."
Scamp could barely contain his heartbreak with how far Angel was going with this. She was really willing to live with someone who creeps her out... just to feel like someone wants her. "Angel. If there's a good person out there willing to adopt you-"
"I don't want to be adopted!" Angel exclaimed as she looked at Scamp. The tears in her eyes said everything he needed to know. She was tired of bouncing through adoption after adoption, knowing it wouldn't work out. She wanted something that would stick. And in Angel's case... that was anyone who liked having her around. She couldn't bring herself to do anything more than settle. She could bring herself to want more. All she could bring herself to do... is try her damndest to make it work, no matter the cost. "I want... to be wanted."
Scamp hugged Angel, who wrapped her arms around him to help her let it all out. The ironic tug on Angel's heartstrings gave in as Scamp said the exact thing she was trying to tell him. "You're not alone, Angel." Angel's eyes widened as Scamp helped her realize how true those words were. "You have me. And Oliver. Our friends. My parents are there for you too." Scamp's smile showed that he genuinely believed all the people he mentioned wanted Angel in their life. "I'll make sure you don't forget that."
Angel smiled as she continued to cry while hugging Scamp. She was right. She had so many more people in her life now than she did before. It made her feel seen, and valued. And Scamp being there for her, hugging her after she told him about her adoption cycle, when she was originally going into his room to comfort him... meant the world to her. She didn't want to lose that. And while she still didn't have the strength to leave Buster's home... she was as happy as could be about having Scamp in her life. As well as everyone else who cared about her.
At last, she felt like she was starting to have a real family.
Scamp and Angel were wrapping up their leftovers as Tramp and Buster caught up at the door, leaving Tramp to recount an event he had with Buster. "How much you wanna bet me sleep farting on Charlie started that hangover?"
Buster laughed a bit at the idea as Colette came into the kitchen to get a drink. "Hey."
Scamp and Angel looked at Colette, who seemed unwilling to start trouble this time. "Hey."
Colette then spoke to Angel about what she told her in the backyard. "I thought about what you said. I guess... Scamp being born, is..." Scamp focused on Angel's leftovers, unsure if Colette's words were true or not. "It's not... I guess, standing it is... possible. And maybe... I could... um..."
Colette had no idea how to properly apologize for her actions. She just wasn't used to it. Angel chimed in to stop her from struggling. "I don't regret defending Scamp. But I shouldn't have blamed you for your family's move." Angel then gave Colette her true opinion of her. "That said, I still think you're an annoying bitch."
"And I still think YOU'RE a gross loser." Colette admitted, and then she admitted to something else. "But maybe what I said earlier was... wrong."
Scamp made sure everything was wrapped before intervening with some words for Colette. "I think I know what you're trying to say, Colette. Although, I could use some space right now." Colette left the room after that, confirming that she respected Scamp's wishes.
Angel then looked at Scamp again, still grateful for the talk they had. "Thanks for coming out to let me talk to you. And for... not getting mad when I got emotional."
"Why would I get mad about that?" Scamp asked, smiling as he looked at Angel. "You're allowed to be sad."
Angel took a chance and kissed Scamp's right cheek, much to his surprise as he and Angel then blushed softly. "I guess so." Scamp and Angel smiled while looking away from each other, and Buster, having noticed what happened, gained a brief look of bitterness.
When Tramp noticed, he addressed it. "You okay, buddy?"
"Oh, yeah. I'm fine." Buster lied, coming up with a cover up for what he was really upset about. "Just thinking about how much that bitchy teacher we had pissed me off."
"Oh god, she would NOT shut up about her relationship problems." Tramp chimed in, knowing exactly what Buster was talking about. "We were teenagers! We didn't know anything about marriage yet! The only reason we know they didn't last is because Itchy's parents got divorced!"
Lady's loving smile as she walked up to Tramp confirmed that wouldn't happen with them. "Something that'll never happen to us." Tramp and Lady shared a brief kiss with Scamp and Angel smiling at each other again before Angel went over to Buster. As rocky as this Thanksgiving was before everyone started eating, it was clear that Scamp and Angel grew closer thanks to the event. Scamp would still make sure to tell his folks next time. Scamp took the time to contemplate Angel kissing his cheek as the screen faded to black, ending the episode off.
