This is a story about a strong love and friendship between a Dwarf and a Human. The story takes place after that Thorin Oakenshield reclaimed his homeland 'Erebor'. Normally if you have been reading 'The Hobbit' will you know that Thorin Oakenshield dies in the battle of The Five Armies. But in this story is it different. Thorin survives the battle and starts a peacefull life.
