Hello everyone! It's Morton Day, so here's a story about him :D I hope you all like it! This story takes place after my other story "Loving Someone New 2 Redux"
Disclaimer: I only own my FCs!
"Hi Stacey!" Morton greeted his friend. Mario wanted to have a race today, so everyone was at Mario Circuit to either watch or participate. The two friends were at the concession stand getting a snack.
"Oh hi Morty! I almost forgot you guys were invited." Stacey replied.
Morton chuckled. "Yeah. My dad and Junior are racing today."
"That's great! Wanna sit with me and watch the race?" Stacey suggested.
"Sure!" Morton smiled.
The two grabbed their snacks and walked away from the concession stand. They made their way to their seats and waited for the race to begin. As Morton took a bite of his Funnel Cake, he thought back to his and Stacey's first date. The two had such a fun time at the carnival and they did talk about going on another. Morton swallowed his soda and looked at his friend.
"Hey Stacey?" He said.
"Yeah?" She replied.
A Lakitu flew down to the race track and started the race. Everyone cheered as all 12 racers took off. Morton took another bite of his snack and looked back at his friend.
"Uh, remember when we went on that date?" Morton began.
"Yeah! How could I forget? We had so much fun!" Stacey smiled.
Morton slightly blushed. "Well, do you remember when we talked about going on another date?"
"O-Oh yeah. I did ask if you'd like to go on another one." Stacey replied.
"Well, uh...You wanna go on one? Y'know, sometime after this race?" Morton asked.
Stacey smiled. "I'd love to!"
The race ended with Mario winning in first place, Bowser Jr in second, and Yoshi in third. As Bowser and the rest of his kids walked away from Mario Circuit, Morton stayed and talked to Stacey more.
"So, what should we do on our next date?" He asked.
"Well, I did mention us going on a picnic in the park. We can still do that if you want." Stacey said.
"Oh yeah! That's perfect!" Morton grinned.
"How about we go to a park in Darkland, since last time we were in the Mushroom Kingdom?" Stacey suggested.
"That's a great idea, Stacey! We can go on the picnic next Saturday." Morton smiled.
"I can't wait! I'm gonna have to buy a picnic basket and some ingredients for the food." Stacey said.
Then, Morton got an idea.
"Hey. Why don't I make the food for the picnic?" He asked.
"Really? Are you sure you wanna do that? I can help out if you want." Stacey asked.
Morton grinned. "Nah, I got it. You just bake a delicious cake. I'll make the lunch."
"Well, alright! I'll see you soon, Morty!" Stacey waved goodbye and left.
"Hmm. Now, what should I make?" Morton asked himself. Later that day he was in his room lying down on his bed. He wanted to figure out what food to make for their date. Morton sighed and thought again.
"Stacey's bringing dessert. I could make some lemonade for us to drink. But what to eat..."
After thinking for a few more minutes, Morton got up and left his room. He walked through the halls until he made his way to the kitchen. As the cooks were preparing dinner, Morton looked on the shelves until he found a cook book. He took the book back to his room, sat on his bed, and began to read through it. Morton saw many recipes for delicious foods and desserts. Looking at the pictures of the food made him a little hungry.
As he flipped through the pages, Morton stopped on a page that had recipes for different types of sandwiches. As he read them, his eyes landed on the last recipe.
"Hm. This looks pretty good. I bet Stacey would enjoy it!"
Today was Saturday and it was time for Morton and Stacey to go on their date. Morton packed everything inside of the picnic basket he bought and made his way outside to his Clown Car. Once he was in his Clown Car, he flew towards the Mushroom Kingdom.
"I hope she likes this..." Morton said to himself.
Soon Morton arrived in the Mushroom Kingdom and made his way to Stacey's house. He landed in front of her house, got out of his Clown Car, and knocked on the door.
"I'm coming!" He heard Stacey say on the other side of the door.
A few seconds later, Stacey opened the door and walked outside, carrying a chocolate cake. She wore a cream sun hat, a light green summer dress, and cream pumps. Morton blushed as he looked at her.
"You look great!" He said.
"Thanks! You ready to go?" Stacey asked.
"Yup!" Morton helped her inside of his Clown Car and the two flew to the Koopa Kingdom.
The two arrived in the Koopa Kingdom and made their way to a park. They landed by a tree, got out, and Morton put a blanket down on the ground. Once he did that, he grabbed the picnic basket and sat down on against the tree. Stacey grabbed the cake and sat it down next to the basket. She smiled as she sat next to Morton.
"I can't wait to see what you made!" Stacey said.
Morton pulled out two cups along with the lemonade, pouring them both some in their cups. "I found a recipe in one of our cook books."
He sat his cup down and pulled out their sandwiches, handing one to Stacey.
"I made us Caprese sandwiches. I thought you might like it." Morton said.
Stacey took a bite of her sandwich and smiled. "It's delicious!"
"You like it?" Morton asked.
"Yes! You did great! It's really good." Stacey replied, making Morton blush again.
"T-Thanks. I wasn't sure if it'd come out well." Morton took a bite of his sandwich and smiled. It was pretty good!
"Maybe we could cook together one day!" Stacey said after taking a sip of her lemonade.
"Hehe. That'd be fun." Morton replied.
The two talked and looked around at the beautiful scenery around them. A few kids ran passed them, waving at them when they noticed Morton. Once they were finished eating, Stacey cut two slices of cake for them to eat. Morton grinned and took a bite of the cake.
"Man, your cakes are tasty!" Morton said, taking another bite.
"Thanks. Peach and Kacey are a little better than me though." Stacey replied.
"Nah. You're just as good as them! Maybe even better!" Morton grinned.
Stacey blushed and looked at her slice of cake. "Aww. You're so sweet, Morty."
Later on the two finished eating and were preparing to leave. They put everything away, got inside of his Clown Car, and flew back to the Mushroom Kingdom. Stacey smiled and sat closer to Morton. She smiled and kissed his cheek, surprising him.
"Thanks again for the date, Morty! I had fun." She said.
"N-No problem. I had fun too." Morton smiled and rubbed the back of his head.
Stacey sighed and rested her head against his arm, making Morton smile softly. Soon they arrived at Stacey's house and the two walked to the front door.
"Oh! You and your siblings can have the rest of that cake." Stacey said.
"You sure?" Morton asked.
Stacey smiled sweetly, making Morton's heart flutter. "Of course! I'm sure the others will love it!"
Before Stacey entered her house, she walked closer to Morton.
"Uh Stace-" Morton stopped his sentence as Stacey leaned in and kissed him on the lips.
Morton's eyes widened in surprise, but he relaxed and kissed her back. After a minute, the two pulled away and stared at each other, their faces completely red.
"Um...I'll see ya later, Morton." Stacey said.
"Oh, uh yeah. See ya later." Morton replied.
Stacey unlocked the door, walked inside of her house, and said goodbye again before closing the door. Morton stood there for a few seconds, still shocked by the kiss. He smiled widely, got inside of his Clown Car, and flew to the castle.
I hope you all liked this! The next chapter will be posted tomorrow :D
