"Hey, Karen, you look kinda tired. Everything cool?" Felix asked, noticing her exhausted expression.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just stressing about Lucas and the gang," Karen replied with a sigh, feeling uneasy.
"Weren't they supposed to be away for the weekend?" Felix asked, recalling their plans to be out of town until Sunday.
"Yeah, but Lucas never called like he said he would. I've been trying to reach him with no luck. Even Haley and Brooke aren't picking up," Karen explained, clearly worried.
"Do you think something's up?" Rachel chimed in, glancing between Felix and Karen, who looked anxious. "Maybe we should swing by Nathan's place to check if they've left or decided to cancel the trip," he suggested.
Karen shook her head, 'They would have said something, the thing is I haven't even heard a word from Dan, he is usually popping in to make smart remarks,' she said trying to get Felix's attention. 'That's fishy,' Felix agreed as he looked at Rachel when the door opened.
'We got a problem,' Deb said as she walked up to the counter. 'What's the problem?' Karen asked, now worried more than ever. She had hoped her gut was just playing a prank on her and that Lucas just forgot to call.
The blond woman looked at Karen with a worried expression. Karen had told Deb what was going on and what Dan was planning on doing to Brooke.
She explained to the blond why Nathan, Lucas, and the others were going to be away for the weekend to keep Dan away from Brooke.
'I was going to check on Nathan and Haley's apartment since I offered to keep an eye on it while they were away, and Nathan's car is still out in the parking lot along with Peyton's car,' Deb said. Karen's eyes narrowed, 'Was Lucas' jeep out there?' she asked.
Deb nodded, 'Yep, when I went in the apartment, they were gone, and I know they didn't take Brooke's car because it's too small to hold a lot of people,' the blond said looking worried.
Felix crossed his arms as he listened, 'I think we should look around for Dan and see where he is-' he was cut off by his phone ringing and he picked it up, 'Anna, is everything okay?' he asked.
'Felix, I was just driving past the high school and ah, Brooke's car is still in the same spot!' Anna said in a heavy tone, 'I don't know what's going on but I think Brooke is in trouble.'
Felix took a breath, 'Okay, just calm down Anna, I'm on my way,' he said hanging up and explained everything that he had heard to Karen, Rachel, and Deb. 'I think we need to call the police department,' Karen said.
( With Brooke and Dan )
Brooke and Dan were dancing for hours, with Dan's hand wandering up and down her body as they moved. Finally, Brooke spoke up, 'Dan… Can we please take a break? My feet are killing me…and I need to use the bathroom.' Dan jokingly teased her, 'Already tired, Brooke?' as he pulled back.
'We've only just started!' Brooke rolled her eyes, 'No, we've been dancing for two hours!' Trying to convince him to take a break, she said, 'Can we take a quick break and then go back to dancing?'
Dan reluctantly agreed, giving her a ten-minute break with a warning not to do anything funny and to meet him in his room after.
Confused and slightly alarmed, Brooke reluctantly agreed, wondering why he wanted her in his room after what was supposed to be just a dance.
Dan just laughed at Brooke stuttering, pulled her close, and planted a quick kiss on her lips. 'I'll give you ten minutes, not a minute longer,' he said before leaving her there, looking like a deer caught in headlights.
Brooke wiped her lips once Dan left, muttering to herself about having ten minutes to come up with a plan. She made her way to the bathroom on the first floor, relieved to find one there.
Locking the door behind her, Brooke leaned against it and thought about having to pretend she needed to use the bathroom.
'Alright, Brooke, time to come up with a plan,' she whispered to herself, focusing on the window to see if it could be opened. 'Men seriously lack brains,' she grumbled under her breath.
Brooke bent down to slip off her heels and throw them on the floor. 'Those are in the way,' she whispered, then went back to the window. She easily opened it.
'Now I need to climb out and get-' she started. 'Brooke, you good in there?' Dan's voice came from the other side of the door. Brooke paused, realizing he must have heard the thumping of her shoes.
'Ah, yeah, I'll be out in a minute, Danny boy,' she replied hastily as she began to squeeze through the window. The brunette bit her lip as she maneuvered one leg out of the window.
'I heard a thump, and I hope you're not doing anything I wouldn't do,' Dan remarked. Brooke's grip on the window handle tightened, and she bit her lip once more.
'You said I had 10 minutes, and it's only been 5,' she responded, trying to maintain a calm tone. 'Well, I'm impatient, what can I say? Why is the door locked?' Brooke ignored Dan's question as she finally got her body out of the window. 'So you don't come in while I'm going to the bathroom,' she explained.
Brooke's heart was pounding as she carefully slid down from the windowsill, her legs touching the bushes as she didn't care at that moment – she was so close to freedom. 'I forgot to mention, Brooke, don't lock the doors,' Dan said, kicking the door open.
'And where do you think you're going?' Dan asked as he strolled into the bathroom to find Brooke by the window sill. 'Away from you! I'll turn you in!' Brooke answered as she released the sill, only to have Dan quickly rush over and grab her arm tightly.
'I don't think so, little missy,' Dan laughed as he pulled her up and threw her back inside, his nails digging into her skin. 'Let me go, damn it!' Brooke exclaimed as she attempted to stand up, but Dan kicked her back to the floor.
'What have I told you about trying to run?' Dan asked as he yanked the brunette off the floor, dragging her upstairs to his room. 'Now I know your bathroom excuse is a lie,' he sneered.
Brooke tried to run after Dan pushed her onto the bed in his room and then climbed on top of her. 'Nah, ah, Brooke,' Dan growled, putting his whole weight on her.
'Get off!!' Brooke yelled, pushing against Dan as hard as she could. But all Dan did was grab her arms, roughly placing them above her head, and he pulled out a pair of cuffs from his pockets.
Dan cuffed Brooke's wrists to the bedpost, saying, 'I don't think so, little girl,' as he slapped her across the face. 'I told you, if you try to escape, it'll be worse. I was going to go easy on you, but someone needs to learn a lesson!' he said, ignoring Brooke's cries.
Brooke tried to struggle from under him, 'Please…Dan…it…,' but she was cut off by his lips pressing roughly against hers as she tried to shake her head to stop him from kissing her.
"Brooke, chill out, it'll be over soon," Dan said as he tore off the red dress and tossed it aside, leaving the brunette in her undergarments. "Come on, please stop! I'm sorry!" Brooke pleaded as Dan put his hands on her breasts.
Dan grinned as he squeezed Brooke's breasts, making her cry out. "Please…" She whispered as she kicked him in the back to push him away. Dan fell down in pain from the kick but quickly got back up.
"You shouldn't have done that, you slut!" He snarled as he climbed back on top of her and grabbed her throat.
Brooke cried out as Dan squeezed her neck and punched her in the stomach. "Just stay there and take it!" He said, punching her in the stomach repeatedly while tightening his grip on her neck.
( with Lucas, Nathan and The others)
Lucas was staring at the ceiling, trying to come up with a plan. 'Hang in there Brooke,' he whispered, hating himself for not being able to get out of here. The blond looked up as the cell door opened.
'It's your guys' lucky day, someone paid bail so you kids are good to go!' Mason said with a smirk on his face as the teens walked out of the cell. 'Who paid for the bail?' Lucas asked eyeing Mason.
'Does it matter who did it? You're out now, so go get out of my hair. I was only supposed to hold you for a day anyway, so go get your little girlfriend that you're worried so much,' Mason said.
Lucas nodded, not planning to stick around and rushed out of the station with Nathan. 'Where do we go?' Nathan asked. 'Where would Dan have her-' Lucas began to ask but Andy walked up.
"Hey Andy! What's up? Did you help us get out of here?" Lucas asked excitedly, running over to his mom's boyfriend. "Yep, your mom filled me in on the situation. I had a feeling Dan was involved and would try some lame distraction," Andy explained.
"Andy, can we go find Brooke?" Nathan chimed in as he walked over. "Thanks for getting us out, but we're in a rush," he added.
"Deb, Karen, and a few of your friends are out looking for Brooke too," Andy mentioned, a bit exasperated. "Any idea where Dan might have taken her?" he asked Nathan.
After a moment of thought, Nathan had a realization. "The beach house! That's the only other place he goes, besides the dealership," Nathan said. "Do you think Dan would be that stupid to take Brooke there?" Lucas wondered aloud.
"Sure thing!" Nathan exclaimed, heading towards the nearest car as Felix pulled up in his BMW. "Get in!" Felix insisted. Lucas and Nathan glanced at Andy.
"Let's do this!" Andy said, hopping into the back seat with Nathan while Lucas took the front.
Lucas turned to Jake. "Can you make sure Peyton and Haley get to mom's café?" he asked. Jake replied, "Of course, you guys go grab Brooke!"
"We can come along too," Haley chimed in, with Peyton agreeing, "Brooke is our friend, and we-" Before Peyton could finish, Nathan interrupted, "We know, but the best way to help Brooke is to stay safe. We'll bring back our spirited cheerleader."
Peyton and Haley nodded, following Jake to Andy's car. Once Andy gave them the keys, Felix stepped on the gas with Nathan, Lucas, and Andy in the car.
"We're on our way, pretty girl!" Lucas murmured, gripping the seat as he thought about Brooke, hoping they would reach her before Dan can get to far with the brunette.
