Lucas was gripping the handle as Felix raced towards Dan's beach house. 'Can you drive faster?' he asked, frustrated with the traffic delays.
'I'm doing my best!' Felix replied, pushing the gas pedal to the floor and tightening his grip on the steering wheel. 'We're almost there,' Nathan assured Lucas, who nodded, feeling a bit relieved that they were close.
When they arrived at the beach house, Lucas and Nathan didn't wait for Felix to park before rushing out. The Scott brothers hurried to the house and pounded on the door, calling for Dan to open up.
Lucas cringed at the sounds of loud cries from inside, indicating that Dan was indeed with Brooke. 'OPEN THE DOOR, DAN!' Nathan yelled, knocking again, determined not to do anything that would harm Brooke.
Dan heard the knocks on the door and growled, 'Who the hell could it be?' He got off of Brooke and went to check it out, saying, 'Yeah, yeah, I'm coming.' When he opened the door, he saw both of his sons standing there.
Before he could finish his sentence, Nathan's fist flew straight into his face. Lucas let Nathan deal with Dan and went to find Brooke, knowing his brother could handle their dad on his own.
Nathan punched Dan in the face, snarling, 'We got out with help!' Dan reprimanded Nathan for hitting him, but Nathan continued to struggle under Dan's grip, shouting, 'It is when you're fucking kidnapping and hurting my friend!' Dan retaliated by hitting Nathan in the face, mentioning Nathan's wife who had just returned.
Dan was about to hit Nathan again, but then something hit him hard on the back of his head. The younger Scott pushed his father away and saw Felix standing over him.
"You cool?" Felix asked, helping Nathan up. "Ah, yeah, thanks," Nathan replied, getting to his feet with Felix's assistance.
"Is he…?" Nathan asked, kicking his father in the chest. "Nah, just knocked out. Cops are coming!" Felix dropped the baseball bat on the ground.
( With Brooke)
Brooke had her eyes closed, praying that she was just in a really bad dream as Dan left her cuffed to the bed with only a blanket covering her. She was too scared to even move.
She could feel blood running down her face and between her legs. Tears streamed down her bruised and bloody face as her mind raced to Lucas. Despite feeling like Lucas and Nathan had given up, her heart told her not to lose hope.
She bit her lip and looked around the room, realizing that it wouldn't be the same after this. When the door opened, Brooke tensed, hoping Dan wouldn't come back for more.
'Please… go… away,' she breathed, turning her face away. 'You had your fun,' she cried.
"Hey pretty girl!" Brooke's eyes shot open and she turned towards the sound of his voice. "Broody?" she whispered, hoping she wasn't hearing things because she really didn't want Dan to be calling her that.
As the bed shifted slightly and a hand touched her cheek, Brooke tried to move away, thinking it was Dan.
"Babe, open your eyes," Lucas whispered. "I can't. What if you're just a figment of my imagination?" Brooke whimpered, feeling a gentle kiss on her lips.
"Come on, pretty girl! I want to see those gorgeous hazel eyes of yours," Lucas whispered. Lucas was taken aback when he found Brooke in Dan's room, cuffed to the bed with only a blanket covering her.
His blood boiled knowing what Dan must have done to her. Walking over to the bed, the blond gently brushed a few strands of hair from her face and winced at the sight of her bruised and bloody face, cursing when she flinched away from him.
Lucas sat next to Brooke and saw her open her eyes. 'Lucas? Oh my God, it's you,' Brooke said softly, tears glistening in her hazel eyes.
'Yep, it's me. Let's get you out of here,' Lucas said gently. Brooke nodded as Lucas removed the cuffs from her wrists and picked her up.
'Luke?' Brooke whispered, looking at him and holding onto his neck. 'It's okay, we need to get you out of here,' Lucas said, trying not to dwell on what Dan had done.
He carried her out of the room and downstairs, where they saw Dan being led out by the police. Brooke clung to Lucas, burying her face in his chest as he carried her downstairs.
'Brooke!' Nathan's voice sounded shocked. 'Is she okay?' Felix asked. Ignoring their questions, Lucas walked outside with them trailing behind. 'We'll get you to the hospital,' he whispered.
