Chapter 30: Yankee-Senpai vs. Muscle Brains

"Plant Magic: Magic Cannon Flower!" Mimosa fired her cannon spell, already planted a 'Control Magic Grass' seed into Sol's 'Rampaging Mother Earth' golem.

"Not bad." Sol grinned, still on her earth golem. "But... Earth Magic: Dirt Clod Seal!" she buried Mimosa in a mass of dirt. "Hurting women isn't my style, so just take a little break here. Let's see what Funglasquent can do."

"Fire Reinforcement Magic: Base Run Gamble!" Magna dashed over to Asta and Zora. "I found the crystal, damn it! I'm not getting close enough to let you fight, Asta. At this distance, I'm guaranteed to win. I'm gonna get some payback for your baptism. Don't think I was the same guy back then."

"Bring it on, Magna-senpai." Asta accepted the challenge.

"Ya missed, you jackass." Magna mocked, his 'Extreme Killing Vanishing Fireball' hitting Team B's crystal. "My new spell 'Extreme Killing Vanishing Fireball' is able to disappear. Ain't no way you're gonna hit it if I make it disappear right in front of you."

"Brat, hold on for another ten... no five minutes." Zora requested.

"What the..." Magna was stunned to see Asta finally deflecting one of his small fireballs.

"I finally hit one." Asta cheered. "Bring it on, Magna-senpai."

"You got it, you little brat." Magna let loose a volley of fireballs.

"What do you think you're doing without me?" Kirsch was back into the fight. "Wounding my beautiful face is punishable by death."

"Attack the sakura guy." Zora barked, sending a trap magic circle in front of their battered crystal.

"My original spell is gonna knock back your phony imitation spell right back at ya." Magna retorted, seeing his fireball reflected back at him. "It can even mimic the effects." he squawked, getting knocked back by his own spell.

"Erasing magic, the beauty of this world itself..." Kirsch moaned. "Anti-magic. What a vile and atrocious power. I will not underestimate you again. Peasant brat, I will blow both you and the crystal away from up here. I don't care if it's a disgrace. This is my full power."

"You shouldn't let your magic detection slide like that." Zora tsked, trapping Kirsch's wrist in a magic circle. "I can set my trap spells in mid-air, too."

"I'll take care of this in an instant." Kirsch growled.

"And that instant is all I need." Asta fired back, running up a nearby hill and knocking Kirsch out again.

"I'll make sure your sacrifice won't be in vain." Sol burst in on her earth golem, ready to demolish the opponent's crystal when her golem stopped in mid-punch.

"I made it... in time." Mimosa sighed in relief, her planted seed was spouting from the earth golem's fist. Taking control of the golem, she made it take out Team C's crystal from it's body.

"It's mine." Asta took the opening and destroyed the revealed crystal with a slash.

"The crystal has been destroyed." the referee confirmed. "Team B wins. Next, please prepare for the second round of stage two."
