Team 7 was running in a forest outside of the village, as they ran Shikimaru would begin to talk.
"So Naruto, are you going to tell me what this mission is about? Or am I going to get a surprise?" As Shikimaru said this Naruto would sigh, turning his head back a little still jumping on the tree.
"Our mission is to go to the Sand village and re-negotiate the peace agreement." Hearing this Shikimaru would have a questioning look on his face.
"There is a new Kazekage and he has requested a new agreement." As he heard this he turned to Sakura who was jumping now looking back as well, as she answered Naruto would turn his head a little making eye contact with her saying nothing.
"If that's the case why not have lord Jiriya do it? Or my father?" As Shikimaru said this Naruto would respond.
"Tsuande said something about how I knew the Kazage so we might have more success than others" Naruto would say this, sighing a little as he did, he looked forward again.
"Still it should be an easy mission after all I have everything Lord Fifth wants out of the agreement and I guess everything else we can get is just a bonus." As Naruto said this he would begin to jump a little faster soon followed by the rest of Team seven. Team 7 would continue to jump until sun down, once the sun began to set Naruto would stop followed by Sakura and Shikimaru.
"We should stop here and set up camp." As Naruto said this the other would nod before landing on the ground, as they did it was like clock work no words needed to be spoken, Sakura went through the packs and got out two tents beginning to set them up, Shikimaru went to go grab some firewood and Naruto went to track down some food from the forest. They would continue to do this Shikimaru would be the first one back, putting the wood in a nice pile going over to his pack grabbing a small scroll opening it he would use chakra causing a small flame to appear out of the scroll jumping to the wood, then it was Sakura to be done next going over to the fire and sitting down waiting for Naruto to come back with the food, it would be another thirty minutes until Naruto came back with a bore and a rabbit. Walking over to the fire he would begin to cook it before talking. "Sakura, can you go grab the scroll from my bag so Shika can read through it." As he said this Sakura nodded her head before walking over to one of the tents grabbing a medium sized scroll, walking back over to the fire she would sit down next to Shika before handing the scroll over to him. Shikimaru would grab the scroll opening it to read the context.
"(She wants to have first dibs on all trades, as well as everything they sell to us being halved the normal price they ask for…..)" Shikimaru would continue to read over the demands as he did Naruto and Sakura would begin to talk to each other.
"So Naruto…. Why did you decide to choose this mission? After all, why not choose the assaination mission? I do admit I'm glad you didnt." As she said this Naruto would sigh before speaking again.
"I chose this mission because I want to see Gaara and his siblings." As he said this the rabbit would begin to burn, as it did Naruto would quickly move his hand to where the rabbit was being cooked to feel a hand already there, looking down he would see Sakura's hand. Moving his hand away he would look away having a blush on his face, Sakura would look at the fire also having a blush on her face, the two wouldn't say anything simply sitting there after a while Sakura would side eye Naruto look at him, seeing the fire really complement his face, his eyes looked like they were shining, his jaw was really easy to see because of the fire she would look away looking back at the fire, as she did Naruto would look at her, being able to see her clear and smooth skin, he looked up to see her forehead, he remembered in the academy she would get bullied because of it but eh never thought it was bad. He would start to look down before he saw anything he would look back up shaking his head turning the bore. Across from them was a still thinking Shikimaru.
"(I see why Naruto took the lead on this, if what he told me was true and he is now the new Kage then we're going to need it….. But what was that between the two of them?)" Shikimaru was looking at them, seeing both of them side glancing at each other with blushes on their faces, Sakura twirling her hair with her right hand. He would sigh waiting for the food once the food was done cooking he would eat and go to sleep leaving Sakura and Naruto to be alone not wanting to be there anymore. The two young Chunin would be seen sitting looking at the sky, they would sit in a comfortable silence for a while before Sakura would speak up.
"Naruto." As Sakura said this all she got was a hmm from him, looking over to him she saw Naruto looking at her. "Do you think everything will go as planned on this mission?" Hearing this Naruto would look back up at the sky before speaking again.
"I don't know, but it really doesn't matter, after all we are one of the strongest teams in our class." Hearing this Sakura would nod before looking at the night sky once more seeing a shooting star brightening the night sky. The two would stay outside for another hour before heading to sleep, the next day they would wake up pack everything up and heading towards the sand once they got to the border of the wind country and fire country they would see three Sand ninjas waiting for them, making there to the front Naruto would speak up first having a small smile on his face.
"Hello Temari, Kankuro I hope you're doing well." Seeing the team in front Temari would give him a small smile back before speaking.
"Hello Naruto, I'm glad you were put on this mission, I'm sure the Kazekage is going to be happy to see you." As she said this Kankuro smirked before turning is back walking with his sister the third man being introduced
"Hello my name is Hiro." Hearing this Sakura would finally speak up.
"Hello Hiro." Before anyone could say anything else Kankuro would yell at them.
"Come on you four there is going to be a heatwave soon and I would like to get to the safe haven before it hits." Hearing this Hiro would nod his head before leaving following the rest
"What a drag." Shikimaru would say this beginning to run with Naruto who was the only person still on Fire land. Back at the Leaf village Tsunade had just walked out of the emergency room when she saw Jiraiya standing on the far wall having his eyes closed, walking over she would see the seriousness on his face before she could say anything he would speak up.
"Tsunade the Akatsuki are making a move….. One of my spy's saw three members with black robes and red clouds heading towards the sand." Hearing this it made Tsuandes eyes widen a moment later she would get a serious look on her face before snapping her finger two anbu would appear kneeling on the ground.
"Get me team boar, serpent, tell them they have thirty minutes to get into my office or they will all be turned into genin going back to the academy." One of the anbu with a cat mask would nod her head before disappearing as the cat left she would turn her head towards ferret.
"Ferret, get team Asuma and send a bird to team Kureni tell team Asuma to meet me in my office in an hour and tell team Kureni once they are done they will leave immediately to the sand village." Hearing this the anbu would nod his head before leaving as he did Tsunade would begin to bite her finger
"You as well as I know that wont be enough. Luckily I already sent a toad to the sand village to let them know about the upcoming threat." Hearing this Tsuande would nod, turning her head towards the direction of the sand village before speaking.
"I just don't know if it'll be enough." As Tsunade said, Danzo Shimura was an old man walking with a cane to support him when he was walking down a dark corridor. The corridor was wet like there was a crack in the ceiling and it had just rained. The old man stopped looking back a tad to see a masked anbu kneeling to him. He had a different mask then any of the other anbu but nonetheless he was an anbu.
"Report." Danzo spoke with a cold tone having zero to little emotion, having the same cold expression in his eyes
"Sir the akatsuki are on their way to the Sand village, the nine tailed jinchuuriki is there with his team." Hearing this he would sigh before making his way once again before speaking.
"Send team 9 and team 10 to dispose of the Akatsuiki." Hearing this the anbu disappeared leaving Danzo to his thoughts. "(They're going to die,anbu wont stop them)" As he thought that his thinking would get interrupted from a presence in the corner, looking at the corner on his right he would see a long tongue emerge from the shadows. Back in the Sand Naruto along with Shikimaru were sitting down having their eyes closed listening to Sakura talk to the three Sand Shinobi.
"Shika." Hearing his name he would grunt showing he was listening to Naruto but he didnt move. "Do you…. Do you think." Before Naruto could finish speaking Shikimaru would speak up.
"Yeah I have the same feeling…. I think Sakura does as well." Hearing this Naruto would look at Sakura seeing her hand shaking a little seeing this Naruto would close his eyes once again as he did he unknowingly went to sleep, moments later he would open his eyes to find himself in the mists of battle with a unknown Shinobi, the shinobi had blond hair similar to himself, that's the only thing he saw before he saw him fly high in the sky with a bird of some sorts.
"(What's going on?!)" As Naruto thought this he heard his name turning his head he saw Gaara speaking to him but he couldn't understand what he was saying, before he could say anything Gaara would begin to float on sand going after that guy, before Naruto could do anything it was as if his own body moved on its own dodging a swing from a sword, seeing this he turned his head to see a misty person seeing this his body moved on its own grabbing a scroll seeing the hilt of a sword come from it he grabbed it beginning combat with the unknown man. He felt his body move but he knew he wasn't the one controlling his body.
"(What is happening? Is this Momoshiki's fault?!)" As he thought this he felt his chakra pulsing from his left eye dodging an attack from a scythe of some sorts, the weapon would turn causing Naruto to get pulled back, before he could get hurt someone he couldn't tell grabbed him and threw him up once in the air he began to do hand signs.
"(Wind cutter?!)" Naruto would send a slash from his sword causing four big slashes of wind to expel from his sword hitting the ground. Before anything else could happen he would open his eyes to see Everyone asleep Sakura on his right and Shikamaru on his left while the Sand ninja were across from them. Naruto would grab his head now having a headache. Before he could move too much Sakura would speak up.
"You were talking in your sleep ya know." Hearing this he turned towards Sakura having her eyes closed.
"I do? W what d did I talk about?" Hearing this Sakura would open her left eye looking at Naruto.
"Just mumbling some things." Hearing this Naruto sighed before closing his eyes once again drifting off to sleep not realizing Sakura was still talking. "You were all like wim sul grin kittie." Sakura would continue to make fun of Naruto for another thirty minutes before realizing he was asleep. In an unknown location a battle was going on between four men all standing at different heights one being close to the ground, another being extremely tall, another being short but not as short as the first, and the last guy was medium height, they all wore the same thing all having black jackets and red clouds.
"Hidan, that's enough, let's move already." The man known as Hidan could be seen swinging a triple bladed scythe killing anbu, looking back he had an annoyed look on his face.
"SHUT UP YOU DAMNED FISH, I NEED SACRIFICES FOR LORD JASHIN." Hearing this Kisame gave him a toothy smirk before speaking again.
"How about I test that immortality you have and kill ya." As Kisama said that the shortest one among them spoke up, he had what looked like a wooden body with a wooden tail moving along with the wind.
"Shut it both of you….. If we don't move in three minutes then we're just going to take Deidara's bird." As the man said this the last person there spoke up, moving his hair from his face.
"Come on my man Sasori, it's art and you know that." As he said this he moved his hair once again out of his face, the land of fire had strong winds this time of year and with his long blond hair he was getting easily annoyed.
"Shut it Dedara." Moving towards a tree he would watch as Hidan killed another anbu member before his body turned black and white lines started to appear around his body. In the leaf village Tsuande could be seen standing in her office talking to Jiraiya, facing towards the village while Jiraiya was sitting on one of the window seals in the office. They had been like that for a while before Jiraiya spoke up.
"Tsunade, I plan on taking Naruto on a training trip for a while." Hearing this Tsunade side glanced at him before he spoke once again. "After all now that the akatsuki are making their move early then we originally thought we need to get him as strong as possible, plus Sasuke is under that snake Orochimaru, plus Naruto said he has the same mark as him, he needs to get stronger, and he won't get much stronger being in the village." Hearing this Tsunade simply nodded before speaking looking at him once more.
"When do you plan to leave?" Hearing this Jiraiya sighed before speaking up once again looking at her.
"I plan to leave as soon as he gets back." Hearing this she nodded her head before she could speak. Jiraiya would speak again. " I plan on giving him his family's house. After all, it should be under his name by now, as well as everything else." Hearing this Tsuande would smile slightly before nodding her head once again. The next day came fast for team seven having slept through most of the night, it was early in the morning having the sun just coming up. Team seven along with the sand team were walking through the desert for another four hours until they came up to the sand gates, the entire village was surrounded by a large wall having many shinobis in the walls having small openings for people to see out of, walking in they saw a Sand shinobi bowing to the sand team along with team seven he didn't say anything nor did anyone else as they continued to walk team seven saw many looks of happiness on the peoples faces all smiling at the group, looking around team seven saw all the houses were made from hardened sand having windows in a lot of the rooms, and each home had an upper floor, very few homes only had one floor, as they continued to walk Temari would speak up.
"I will show you to you hotel room, Naruto please follow Kankuro to the Kazekage's office he has asked to see you when you first arrive." Hearing this Naruto nodded his head seeing his two teammates leave along with Temari. It would take about five minutes to go to the Kazekage's office, it looked similar to the leaf's kages office, but this Kages office was made out of sand and a little smaller than the leafs. Neither Kankoro nor Naruto said anything walking up to the Kages office, walking inside Naruto saw the main color of light blue, seeing photos of the previous kages along with others he didn't know but had dignified looking clothes. As the two made it to the office Kankoro left, seeing that Naruto got a sweatdrop before knocking on the door.
"Come in." A voice spoke from behind the door of the kages office, opening the door Naruto saw Gaara sitting in the chair writing on some papers, papers filled the room not like how bad it was for the Hokage but it was still enough for it to be on the ground.
"G Gaara?!" Hearing his name Gaara looked up to see Naruto standing there, seeing his friend he smiled before speaking.
"Naruto I'm glad to see you have made it here smoothly, I hope the journey was pleasant." Hearing this Naruto was a tad surprised by how kind he was acting after all it had only been two months since the sand village attacked with Orochimaru and now Gaara was the Kage.
"I it was." Hearing this Gaara smiled looking at Naruto he noticed his look of surprise.
"Surprising isn't it, unlike how the other villages work, the Kazekage is determined by family. All my family was Kages….. Although it still is surprising after all, not too long ago I was known as a demon, but in our fight you opened my eyes and showed me how strong you were even though I did win the first fight." As Gaara said in the last part he looked at Naruto with a smirk, hearing that Naruto had a straight face seeing Gaara turn around to look over the Sand village.
"So why did you become hokage?" Hearing this question Gaara stood there for a moment before sighing, they both stood there for a few moments a silence fell upon both of them before Gaara spoke up once again.
"It was because even though I lost the first fight you proved how strong you can get if you put your trust in others… And I wanted to prove that I'm not a demon like the village sees me as…. Even though you and I both have a great burden….. You don't let that get you down." Hearing this Naruto wouldn't say anything, only looking at the back of Gaara. Before beginning to think to himself.
"(Yeah well not everything is as good as it seems.)" As he thought this he saw Gaara's sand raise a dome completely covering himself seeing this he didn't have much time before the the wall overlooking the Sand village exploded causing glass as well as hardened sand to go flying all over on the ground and on the Naruto went flying into the wall going through it, even though he wasn't next to the blast he still got pushed back from how much damage was dealt from the explosion, in the sky one giant white bird could be seen flying in the sky, it had the four akatsuki members on it, Kisame, Hidan, Sasori, and Dediara.
"You didn't kill them right?" Hearing this from Kisame, Deidara smoked before speaking again.
"Of course that wouldn't kill them, did you really not see the sand go up and protect the one tails." As Dediara said this he flew them down to the top of the Kazekage's office waiting for the two Jinchurikis.
"What about the nine tails?" As Hidan said this his head could be seen flying from his head, blood flying to the ground, as they all looked at the rolling head the moved their heads to cross from them to see a Naruto with his sword drawn having no burn marks seeming like he wasn't hurt at all, seeing this Kisame smirked before walking to the still rolling head of Hidan.
"So you knew we were coming? How?" Hearing this Naruto activated his byakugan, his eyes turning white and veins building from the left side of his face. Everyone could hear the screaming Hidan but no one cared to listen, all wondering how the nine tailed Jinchiriki did that. But Naruto didn't say anything, getting into a stance when he hear Gaara speak.
"You take Kisame and the hunched back one you get the other two." Naruto looked at him seeing he wasn't damaged at all either seeing this he smirked before nodding his head. Gaara would quickly put sand around the two opponents leaving the area quickly. As he did he saw as four blurs followed him.
"Anbu… Now are you going to tell me your name newcomer?" As Naruto said thai Kisame charged at him swinging his sword down at his face, but as the new Akatsuki member was speaking Naruto was thinking to himself.
"(The future must have changed, this wasn't the one I saw.)" As he thought this he would use the sword in his right hand to block Kisame's attack, but feeling the force of the sword he would roll to the right getting back up he saw the same trick Kankoro used, having chakra leaving his fingers to the puppet controlling it, seeing it had long black hair, and black eyes, the puppet wore a simple black cloak having nothing else on. The puppet would put its hands up having black sand coming out of them, before Naruto could move he was surrounded by sand, seeing this he would smoked before shouting,
"64 PALMS…. 2 PALM, 4 PALM, 8 PALM, 16, 32 PALM." Before Naruto could finish speaking the sand crumbled seeing that Sasori began to speak.
"Hmmm how annoying his byakugan can destroy his sand… I suppose I'll leave the fighting to you Kisame." Hearing this Kisame had a toothy grin on his face before speaking.
"Fine by me." As he finished speaking he would charge once more at Naruto who had moved to the other side of the Hokage office, seeing the charging Kisame he would put his hands into a half ram seal creating seven clones, all having the byakugan active but no one having the sword, they would all charge at Kisame causing Kisame to stop his assault and try to take care of the clones, as he did Sasori would begin to send giant sand constructs at the real Naruto. Seeing this the only thing Naruto could do was make more clones to try and give him time to do what he needed to do. He would create another seven clones hitting the giant sand and they would fall to the ground, Sasori would try to use the sand once more but it was as if the sand had no chakra whatsoever. Naruto would quickly bite his thumb doing hand signs summoning a small toad he had orange skin similar to Gamamichi but he was much smaller clearly not being very old.
"Look I don't have much time but I need you to go find the rest of my team, I'll share some chakra with you so you know where they are but I need you to tell them I'm in trouble." Hearing this the small toad didn't hesitate to accept this not speaking a single word which was weird for the small toad since he was known for speaking a lot, Naruto would quickly put his hand on his head the toad closing his eyes he would quickly open them again leaving the fight. Sasori would see this but before he could do anything one of the Narutos that was protecting the original would dash at Sasori making him go on the defense making him jump away. Naruto would bite his finger once more doing the same hand signs as before slamming his hand on the ground this time the summoning circle was much bigger, a medium puff of smoke would show up a moment later Gamamichi could be seen sitting where the circle just was but this time he was about 5-7 inches bigger than the last time Naruto summoned him. He would turn to Naruto seeing him having an annoyed look on his face.
"Sup Naruto, how can I help this time?" Hearing this Naruto would smile before turning to his two opponents seeing Kisame having already dealt with the clones and Sasori still dealing with the closing in clones.
"I need your help defeating this guy in front of us. Can you use anything else besides water chakra nature?" Hearing this the toad nodded doing hand signs as he did he body enlarged before opening his mouth he began to speak.
"Lighting style lighting stream." As he said this a medium sized stream of lighting shot forth his mouth making the Akatsuki member dodge.
"Lighting huh….. This fight is going to be interesting."
