"Hello...?"
The Doctor heard a gentle-sounding female voice as he regained consciousness.
"Who's...Who's talking...?" He feebly thought.
His vision became clearer: The Doctor was in what seemed to be a peaceful forest and the person talking was a beautiful young woman with long dark hair, green eyes and dark skin.
"Are you alright?" She asked.
"I think so." the Doctor stood up...And noticed that the girl was naked. He immediately looked away. "Where are your clothes?"
"...Clothes?" The girl tilted her head.
"You...Don't know what clo-" the Doctor had an idea of who he was talking with. "I'm the Doctor, what's your name?"
"Me? I'm Eve!" Eve introduced herself, "You're an Angel, right? Like Lucifer and Sera!"
"Huh...Yes, yes I am." said the Doctor, "But don't tell anyone about me, okay? I'm not supposed to be here."
"Why-"
"Just don't, okay?" the Doctor interrupted. Eve nodded. "Anyway, could you tell me where I am?"
"You're in Eden," Eve explained. "I live here with Adam, but there was also another woman before me, Lilith."
"And...Are there other Angels that pay a visit to you lot?" the Doctor asked.
"Only two, Sera and Lucifer," said Eve.
"I see..." said the Doctor. "Say, Eve, have you seen something...Unusual recently? Other than finding me here?"
Eve thought about it for a couple of minutes. "I think I did. Follow me!"
As the Doctor and Eve entered the forest, the Time Lord thought about what happened back in Hell.
"That...Thing that consumed the city, must be the Root of All Evil the book was talking about." He thought, "Charlie & Co. should be safe for the moment...But what about the others? Loona and the rest of I.M.P.? Stolas and Octavia? Is this happening in the other Rings, too?" He shook his head. "One thing at the time, Doctor! First, let's find the TARDIS."
"There it is!" said Eve.
The two arrived in front of a crack in reality.
"I found it here a few minutes ago, just before I found you," Eve explained.
"Alright, Eve, I'm going to jump inside it, I need to find my friends." the Doctor hugged the Second Woman, "Thank you, Eve, and I'm sorry."
"For what?" She asked.
"...Spoilers." the Doctor broke the hug and jumped into the crack.
As he lands on the other side of the crack, the Doctor is immediately welcomed with a large explosion, which he barely manages to dodge.
"Quite the welcoming committee." the Doctor commented. He changed into his Human form, to not attract too much attention.
A cartoonish-looking red bomb landed next to him, the Doctor flew it away using his wings, but the bomb's explosion was large and the Doctor got thrown into rocks, knocking him out.
The Doctor woke up on a bed in a warehouse. It was decorated like a mix of a normal house and an armoury, mainly explosives.
"Oh, yer awake!" A female voice with an Australian accent spoke. "Sorry for before, I was tryin' sum new bombs."
They entered the Doctor's sight: It was a young woman with a curvy yet thin figure. She had long strawberry-blonde hair and blue eyes, with the right one being covered by a black eyepatch and freckles on her face and shoulders. She was wearing a bright red crop top and black leggings.
"Name's Catherine, you?" Catherine introduced herself.
The Doctor recognised who Catherine was: She was Cherri Bomb when she was alive.
"I'm the Doctor." said the Doctor.
"Doctor Who?" Catherine raised an eyebrow as she approached the Doctor.
"Just the Doctor." said the Doctor.
"Aight, "Doctor"..." Catherine sat down next to the Doctor. "What the fuck were you doing in my testing field?"
"I've got lost." said the Doctor.
Catherine didn't buy it. "Ya got lost and found yeself in the middle of the Outback? There's a fuckin' electric fence, too!"
"I'm good at getting lost." said the Doctor.
Catherine snorted. "Did anyone tell ye yer a weirdo?"
"They never stopped." said the Doctor.
Catherine chuckled. "So, yer funny too other than bein' hot." She flirted.
The Doctor ignored her comment. "Say, Catherine...What year is this?"
"Hmm? 1985," said Catherine. "Drank too much?"
"I wished." said the Doctor. "Did you notice anything unusual? Like, a crack in the sky or an old police box?"
"Like the police boxes they have in Britain? Nah," said Catherine,
The Doctor sighed, with a hint of annoyance and desperation.
"Ye okay there, mate?" Catherine asked, starting to be worried.
"...Not really, no." said the Doctor. "My friends are in danger, some are probably dead, and I can't do anything. I'm stuck here in the middle of the Outback."
Catherine offered the Doctor a beer. "Ya look like ya need one."
The Doctor took it despite not being able to get drunk with alcohol. "Thanks." He looked around. "You really have lots of explosives here."
"I know, right?" said Catherine, proud of her work. "I could blow up the fuckin' Federal Parliament with these beauties."
The Doctor chuckled. "What happened with your eye?"
"Got a little too careless, more than usual," said Catherine. "What 'bout ye, handsome? What do ye do for fun?"
"Oh, I travel in time and space." said the Doctor.
Catherine looked confused. "Huh. Looks like you don't handle alcohol pretty well."
"No, really! I'm not drunk." said the Doctor, causing Catherine to laugh. "I travel in my spaceship, the TARDIS. When I'll find it, I'll show you-"
Suddenly, the two heard an explosion coming from outside.
"What was that?" said the Doctor.
The two went to check outside and found a black portal on the testing grounds.
"The fuck is that...?" said Catherine.
"Something that doesn't make sense." said the Doctor, grinning. "Let's go poke it with a stick."
Catherine returned back into the warehouse and returned wearing two grenade belt straps around her torso.
"You wanna come?"
"Aren't there a little too many bombs?" said the Doctor.
"Eh, ya never know." said Catherine, "Besides, I LOVE blowin' shit up!" She grinned. "Come on, ye stud! We've got work to do!"
"Could you kindly refrain from flirting with me for five minutes?" said the Doctor.
"Nope!" She walked towards the portal.
"We don't know where we'll be going." the Doctor warned her.
"That's the fun part!" Catherine grinned. "When you're ready!"
"I'm starting to really like you, you know?" said the Doctor.
"I already liked ya from the start, Doc," said Catherine flirtatiously.
The two jumped into the tunnel.
They landed on a hill.
"Ye alright there?" Catherine asked.
"I think so." said the Doctor. "There's a village over there."
The two went towards the village, paying attention if they found something odd.
Suddenly, they heard an explosion and tons of soldiers rushed towards the village and started shooting.
The Doctor pushed Catherine down, dodging the bullets.
But then, all the soldiers got killed, and other soldiers along with men dressed in black came out of the houses.
"The fuck...?" said Catherine.
The Doctor looked at the sky and saw a flag waving in the air on the top of a mansion. It was a flag identical to the one Spain had after 1978, only that the coat of arms was smaller and at the centre and with a mural crown on the top.
"I think I know where we are..." said the Doctor.
Then, the soldiers surrounded the Doctor and Catherine.
"Don't move!" One of the men ordered.
The Doctor and Catherine raised their hands.
"Where, exactly?" Catherine whispered.
"We must be in Western Spain, in the middle of the Civil War." the Doctor whispered.
"Search them and then ring them in, the Doña would want to interrogate them." A serious-looking officer commented. He glanced at Catherine, who was wearing a pretty revealing outfit for the period. "And give some decent clothes to the girl. If I find out that any of you do something inappropriate to her, you will be executed."
The soldiers brought the two inside the large mansion among the hills.
The Doctor and Catherine were searched and kept in separate cells. Luckily, their cells were right next to each other and could communicate via a window.
"Hey." said the Doctor, "Are you okay over there?"
"Kinda." said Catherine. "Those fuckers took my bombs and my clothes and gave me this frilly dress, I look like a fuckin' doll!"
"Oh come on now, I'm sure you look stunning." the Doctor chuckled.
"Just...How the fuck did we end up in Spain?! We were in the middle of the Outback five minutes ago!" said Catherine.
"Must have been that 'portal', not only we moved in space, but also in time." said the Doctor.
"You're kidding?" said Catherine.
"No, unfortunately." said the Doctor, "I've seen the flag outside, we're in the territory controlled by the Nationalist forces, and looks like the organised crime collaborates with them."
"So, what's the plan?" Catherine asked.
"All we can do is wait and talk with this 'Doña'." said the Doctor.
Later, two men dressed in black arrived at the cells and brought the Doctor and Catherine to the Doña's office.
She was a woman in her early 40s, she had messy-ish raven hair that reached her hips, tanned skin and emerald eyes. She was wearing a black-and-white dress and was holding a folding fan.
The Doctor recognised the woman in front of her. "Carmilla..." He whispered.
"Who?" said Catherine.
"So, you two are the ones my men caught." said the woman. "Spies of the Reds, I presume?"
"Do we look like spies to ya?" said Catherine.
"We're simply visitors, not spies." said the Doctor. "I'm the Doctor, this is my friend Catherine. I believe you're the one in charge."
"You believe correctly, I am Carmela Vargas, the head of the Vargas family." Carmela introduced herself.
"A crime syndicate?" said the Doctor.
Carmela was intrigued by the Time Lord, "You seem to know me, yet I do not know you."
"It happens a lot." said the Doctor. "I'm surprised to see people like you supporting the Nationalists, mafias and fascists don't get along well, Mussolini did repressed them in Italy."
"I simply realised who will be the winning faction, the Government forces are too disorganised."
"Look, Carmela, as we told ye before, we're not spies." said Catherine, "Let us go and ye'll never see us again, promise!"
"Also, you don't happen to have noticed anything odd around these parts, do you?" the Doctor asked.
Carmela thought about it for some minutes, "...Follow me."
The Doctor and Catherine followed Carmela outside.
"We found this just yesterday." Carmela opened the door, revealing the TARDIS.
"Well, Carmela, thanks for making our job easier and I'm sorry." said the Doctor.
"For what?" Carmela asked.
"For this."
The Doctor pushed Carmela away, took Catherine by her hand and jumped into the TARDIS.
Catherine was speechless as she saw the real dimensions of the TARDIS.
"i know, it's bigger on the inside." said the Doctor as he pulled the lever, making the TARDIS disappeared.
"W-Where the fuck are we?!" said Catherine, shocked. "Did those bastards drug us or somethin'?"
"We're in the TARDIS, Time And Relative Dimension In Space, it's real and your mind is completely lucid." the Doctor pressed button on the TARDIS console. "I guess I owe you an explanation."
One long explanation later...
"So, ya already met me in the future, when I'm dead and went to Hell and now ye want to return there because a weird thing is destroyin' Hell?" Catherine summarised.
"Pretty much." said the Doctor, "Sorry for the spoiler."
"Nah, don't worry." said Catherine, "Never thought I'd be going to Heaven to begin with, my lifestyle ain't exactly the holiest."
"Well, at least you know it." the Doctor chuckled softly. "We are now heading to Hell, I hope it's not too late..."
"Say, Doc, where can I get changed?" Catherine asked. "Don't wanna go to Hell lookin' like a princess."
"First door on the left, second right, under the stairs, past the bins, fifth door on the left." said the Doctor. "Oh and, Catherine?"
"Yeah?"
The Doctor smirked. "Welcome aboard."
Catherine grinned back and left the console room.
The smugness on the Doctor's face vanished immediately as worry took over.
"Charlie, Anthony, Loona, everyone...I hope I'm not too late."
The TARDIS gained speed as it flew in the Time Vortex.
Next Stop: Hell.
