RECAP:
Mamoru nodded as he put the communicator watch on. He then opened the computer and started playing around to see what it could do. He paused to pour Usagi her tea and asked the cats, "Can I use this to scan Usagi?"
Usagi looked at him curiously but, waited for the cats to answer, "Yes, it will scan biological as well as technological. You can try it on alien but, we cannot guarantee it will recognize the components or biological make up."
Luna smacked Artemis, "It will work on anything from earth. So, yes it should be able to scan and tell you of any ailments with any given human."
Using his voice as he was sure that the cats were curious to why he would ask as well, "I want to check on the 'baby'," he said as he started scanning.
Now on with the story
The computer beeped as it scanned. Mamoru talked to Artemis about the upcoming trip to the future while Luna asked Usagi about how her 'pregnancy' has been the last couple days. After several minutes, Mamoru looked over the screen and hit a couple more buttons before going back to his conversation,
"What was that about? Did it finish?"
"Nothing. Don't worry I am just double checking something." Mamoru said with a smile. He didn't want to tell her as he was still a little shocked and not sure if he had made a mistake.
A couple more minutes later and Usagi's gaze didn't leave him as he looked over the screen before slumping back in his chair. The cats both jumped on the table to look at the screen before looking at Usagi with unreadable looks. "What? Seriously, I know there is something on that screen and it is something about me! Someone tell me what is going on!"
Artemis just blushed and looked at Mamoru who was still in shock. Luna sighed, of course the boys would leave it up to her to tell Usagi. "You ARE pregnant. The computer shows TWO fetuses, both healthy and at about five months along." Usagi promptly dropped her teacup, thankfully empty, and fainted.
The two cats looked at each other before Artemis jumped up on the arm of the chair, then to Mamoru's shoulder where be sat pawing the teenager's face. "Mamoru? Come on, Mamoru?"
Luna jumped over to the couch and once on the back of the couch she began alternating between nuzzling and licking Usagi. Luna had to admit that would be a big shock, going from a virgin, to pregnant, to finding out that it is multiples in less than 72-hours. She heard Mamoru groan before suddenly he was kneeling in front of Usagi. "Usagi? Usako? Come on, Usako." He called both verbally and telepathically.
Mamoru got to his feet and went to the bathroom and returned with a cold washcloth and started wiping her face while still calling her name. As she came to, he pushed her back, "Don't get up. We both had a bit of a shock." He said as he continued to wipe her brow. "I am fine but, I want you to take at easy." Usagi sat back and nodded. "Once I am sure you are ok, I am taking you to bed … no arguments."
She smiled at him and then frowned as she started apologizing, "My tea, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to drop it."
Mamoru shook his head, "Don't worry about it. It is fine." He told her then paused as he realized that this is possibly where Chibi-Usa got it from and laughed. "I guess we know where Chibi-Usa gets it from." Usagi took a cushion from the couch and hit him, Mamoru dodged it and picked her up bridal style and carried her into the bedroom where he drained her breasts, and they went to sleep.
The following morning, Mamoru carefully untangled himself from his sleeping princess as he got up, showered, got dressed, and started packing some supplies in his subspace pocket. Once he was sure he was prepared for their trip he returned to bed to find Usagi still sleeping, he curled up next to her and moved her slip away and started to relieve the growing engorgement.
Usagi woke to Mamoru suckling on her breasts, which she was grateful for. She moved her hands to run her fingers through his hair. [Thank you.] She thought, he looked up curiously. [If you hadn't started that these girls would have woken me up soon enough aching or worse I would have woken up by the wet sheets.] As she thought of the latter she blushed.
Mamoru went back to nursing and Usagi went back to run through his hair. "What are we going to do with twins?"
"We will figure it out."
"What are you going to do if my dad sees me like this?"
Mamoru stopped and looked her in the eyes, "Now, that is a scary prospect."
"Am I going to need a pump?"
"Possibly for when I am not able to be here to help. But let's not worry about that right now." Mamoru said caressing her cheek. "For now, I am going to finish up, then we are going to go for breakfast with our friends and daughter before we go to the future."
Usagi nodded as she adjusted herself on the pillows and Mamoru finished emptying her milk. "I am going to need to look into some maternity clothes." She said almost sadly.
"Why? So far, we haven't had any issues."
"Using the crystal is draining and I have to be careful with my energy levels in case I need to be Sailor Moon."
"Well," Mamoru said as he used his crystal to dress Usagi in a yellow sundress. "I can help with some of that." He paused. [About her being Sailor Moon…]
Hearing his thoughts Usagi spoke up, "Don't even think of telling me what I can and cannot do, Endymion Mamoru Rhea."
Mamoru was saved from any more of her anger as the apartment door opened as Chibi-Usa, Minako and Roselyn entered. "Daddy, I was good last night. So, can we go to Cora's for breakfast, please?"
Usagi put on a smile for her daughter. [You are lucky, Mamo-chan.]
He smiled as he followed her out of the bedroom. "We can go anywhere you want, Chibi-Usa."
Roselyn and Minako both looked Usagi over, "Still pregnant." Minako said.
"Better it is twins." Usagi said causing the girls' jaws to hit the floor. "How?" Roselyn asked.
"Luna and Artemis" Mamoru said as the cats popped their heads up from where they had been resting on the couch, "Came bearing gifts last night."
Usagi paused as she finished putting her shoes on, happy that she had slip ons. [Mamo-chan?] He looked to her as he was grabbing his keys. [Did the computer tell you gender?]
Mamoru smirked; this was his chance to get back at her for earlier when she was going to tell him that she was not going to let him stop her from being Sailor Moon while she was pregnant. [That is for me to know.] She growled, at him as he ushered her out after the other girls.
After a relaxing and happy breakfast, the group headed to the park where Chibi-Usa had originally made her appearance. Everyone transformed and looked to the child, "I have never done this with anyone else before. Take my hand and don't let go." The group nodded and Sailor Moon took her hand, while Tuxedo Kamen held Sailor Moon's waist, Sailor Terra locked arms with her brother and Sailor Venus took Sailor Terra's hand.
Chibi-Usa nodded. "Chronos, Guardian of time, I summon thee. Take me to the Gates of Time on the road of Light." (AN: Sorry but I am cutting her speech short :P)
The wind picked up and the group felt themselves lifting off the ground and in a flash of lightning the park was quiet, leaving no sign of the group of heroes that had moments before gathered there.
Sailor Moon blinked as she found herself and her companions surrounded by endless mist, even the ground appeared to be mist, "Come on, this way." Chibi-Usa said tucking her key away and walking away. "Plu! I am back. Plu, where are you?"
Sailor Moon reached unconsciously for Tuxedo Kamen as they followed the child as she went looking for "Plu". Suddenly a tall woman with long black and green hair came through the fog. "Small Lady?" The woman asked as she looked the child over. "Small Lady, you stole a time key. You travelled to the past, without permission." She paused, "You had me so worried." The woman said dropping her unusual staff as she fell to her knees and took hold of the child in a loving embrace.
"Sailor Pluto, I know you said that I wasn't supposed to bring anyone with me … but these are my friends that came to help mommy." Sailor Pluto looked up. "Sailors Moon, Terra and Venus, and Tuxedo Kamen."
Sailor Pluto picked up her staff as she stood. "Thank you, for protecting Small Lady." She said with a deep bow. "I will now open the gates to allow you to travel to Crystal Tokyo."
A massive door appeared that made Luna gasp, 'The door from my dream.' The door slowly opened allowing the senshi and Tuxedo Kamen to pass through following Chibi-Usa.
Sailor Moon looked back at Sailor Pluto with a questioning look that was too fold. However, she decided to ask the innocent question, "Aren't you coming with us?"
The solitary soldier shook her head. "No, my place is here." She answered as the door closed behind them.
Turning to face forward the mist cleared and the teenagers gasped at the sight as Chibi-Usa took her mother's hand and hid behind her leg as they looked across the devastated city. There was a deafening silence, and the air had a staleness to it. "Oh, my lord …" Sailor Terra trailed off.
"What could have caused … so much destruction?" Sailor Venus asked. As they surveyed the apocalyptic scene before them.
Chibi-Usa took a deep breath and swallowed hard as she stepped forward, "This way." She said pulling Sailor Moon to follow. "The Crystal Palace is where mommy is." Chibi-Usa pointed toward a tall crystal structure as the warriors began walking towards it.
Tuxedo Kamen noticed a dark black crystal off in the distance, [Is that our enemy's base of operation?]
[I don't know. Do you think the others are in there?]
[Maybe …] He answered as he turned back to see that Chibi-Usa was still ahead of them and then up at the towering crystal. Tuxedo Kamen was about to say something when Sailor Moon stumbled. "Sailor Moon!" He called as he stepped to catch her. [Are you OK?]
Sailor Moon blinked up at her hero, "I am fine. I just felt a little dizzy." She said trying to push herself up from his arms.
[Do not lie to me, Usako.] He said as he picked her up and was surprised as despite the transformation hiding it, in his arms he could still feel the weight created by the twins. He smiled at that thought before frowning as he looked down disapproving of her. [You should have said something, earlier. Your energy is dropping, isn't it?]
Sailor Venus looked to Sailor Terra and shrugged as they watched Tuxedo Mask scoop up Sailor Moon and start walking to catch up to Chibi-Usa. [Mamo-chan, I am fine and from the amount of movement I am feeling so are the twins.] She said sending him a smile. [What if we are attacked?]
He stopped for a moment to give her a worried look, [Exactly! What if we are attacked and you are too weak to fight?] He asked as he started syphoning some energy from the earth and transferring it to her as he walked.
Chibi-Usa turned toward them, "This is the crystal palace!" She said as she started to run toward the entrance when, suddenly, crystalline walls erupted from the earth trapping them in a room. Tuxedo Kamen put Sailor Moon on her feet as the four warriors encircled the child behind them.
Twin enemies emerged from the ground laughing, both had long white hair wearing wife beaters and slacks. "Greetings, We're the boule brothers of the black Moon." "Chiral." "Achiral."
"Black Moon?" Terra repeated.
"Where are Sailor Mars, Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Jupiter.?" Sailor Moon demanded.
The brothers ignored the senshi, their focus on Chibi-Usa, "It is quite an honor to meet the Rabbit." One of them turned, "and the legendary Guardian Sailor Moon."
Tuxedo Kamen stepped between his family and the twin brothers. "Allow us to welcome you with Achiral's isomeric display." The brothers laughed as the senshi, Tuxedo Kamen and Chibi-Usa were encased in crystal.
"I can't move!" Venus said.
"Achiral's Electrochemical Side Chain." "There is no reaction that can sever its molecular bond!"
Sailor Moon said, "It's not over yet. No creepy doppelgangers are going to …"
[No! Usako, don't, your energy levels … the twins.]
[But …]
"Terran Rose Storm!" The furry of petals centered on the brothers.
'In my dreams…' Tuxedo Kamen thought as he closed his eyes, as the attack died down.
The brothers glared up at the tower that encased the time travellers. "Don't bother struggling." "You're fixed in the Chiral's magnetic field, called the Chirality Center." "All of you have been immobilized at an atomic level." The brothers bragged showing that the attack had only served to anger them.
As the brothers laughed a woman in green came into the chamber, "How does it feel to be cornered?"
"Who said we were cornered?" demanded Venus.
"There is no escape from this beautiful monument." The woman in green with matching hair claimed. And this is but a taste of what the Malefic Black Crystal is capable of."
[Malefic Black Crystal?] Tuxedo mask repeated in his mind.
"I intend to use its full power to bury you along with the real Crystal Palace." She laughed.
"It won't happen. It can't! The Palace! Mommy's there, so it can never be destroyed!" Chibi-Usa proclaimed. "Mommy is strong! As long as she's inside the palace, nothing can shatter it! It will stand for all time!"
The woman came close to where Chibi-Usa was trapped in the monument, mocking the child. "Mommy! Mommy!" She laughed. " Oh, but that's terribly insensitive of me. Tell you what, Rabbit, show Auntie Esmeraude the Legendary Silver Crystal and I'll take pity on you. I'll bury you and your mom in the same grave." She then sent a radioactive wave through the monument.
[This woman has made a deadly mistake!] Tuxedo Kamen said as her last statement had pushed him over the edge. "False Crystal, I command you! BREAK!"
As the monument shattered Esmeraude watched in awe. "Impossible! They escaped!"
"Now! Venus love Me Chain!"
"Terra Volcanic Eruption!"
As the chain wrapped around the brothers, Esmeraude teleported away. As the brothers turned to dust from the attacks, their crystal chamber disappear leaving the group alone back where they had been at the entrance of the REAL Crystal Palace.
Chibi-Usa refilled with determination said, "Follow me!" as she approached the door and pushed it open. The teenage warriors followed her into the Palace and down the grand entrance which led to a chamber that held a stone table with a large human sized crystal on it. Chibi-Usa walked up to it cautiously. As the group got closer Luna observed, "There is someone in there!"
"I'm home…"
"Chibi-Usa, who is in there?"
"This is my mommy, Neo Queen Serenity." The child answered.
"Neo Queen Serenity?" Sailor Moon repeated. [Is that me? Could that be my future self.]
A small bell was heard as a kitten came up and nuzzled the little girl's leg to get her attention, "Diana! I am glad you are ok." At that the kitten bound behind a nearby curtain.
A man appeared from behind the curtain dressed in a white suit with lavender highlights, his hair was lavender, he wore a mask matching Tuxedo Kamen's and held a staff. Chibi-Usa turned to see where the kitten had gone and smiled as she ran towards the man. "Daddy!"
[Daddy?] Both Sailor Moon and Tuxedo mask repeated curiously. As the man nearly collapsed before the child.
The child ran right through the man, "Daddy? Why can't I hug you?"
"I am relieved you made it home safe and sound." He said as he looked toward where Neo Queen Serenity lay encased in crystal sadly, before turning back to the pink haired child. "Traveling back in time to the past was very dangerous, however, you were right to go. I am proud of you." He stood and addressed the group, "Welcome to the magnificent Crystal Palace! And Crystal Tokyo in the 30th Century!"
"Daddy … why are you so sad?"
He moved to place his transparent hand on the crystal that encased his wife. "I don't know how to tell you … I barely understand myself." He looked down as if cursing himself. "The babies your mom was carrying…"
Sailor Moon had been watching and suddenly realized, [So, that is why?] "Your majesty?" She asked as she let her transformation fall, revealing the baby bump she had been sporting the last couple days.
He turned in time to see Tuxedo Kamen step up to steady Usagi as she began to sway. His eyes falling on her swollen middle, "The twins?" he asked taking a cautious step toward the younger couple.
"We can explain, as best we can … but first is there somewhere she can lay down or at least sit?"
The King nodded, "Of course. This way." He said leading them into another chamber that looked more like a waiting room with couches and chairs for people to sit. The Senshi sat beside each other in chairs while Tuxedo Kamen sat on a couch and adjusted Usagi to a semi-laying position. Chibi-Usa moved a chair closer to the couch and sat next to the couple.
After making sure that Usagi was comfortable and that the babies were ok as well, Tuxedo Kamen turned his attention to the King. "I am taking liberty in the fact that you are my future self, King Endymion?"
The King nodded. "That making Neo Queen Serenity …" Tuxedo Kamen trailed off not wanting to admit the future he saw for his girlfriend but needing confirmation.
"Is Sailor Moon's future self." The King confirmed.
"How can that be? We are in 30th Century and you don't appear to be much older than I am now?"
"In the Royal family the average life span is a thousand years." He paused at the collective gasp. "Typically, members of the Silver Millennium family grow and age just like humans until they reach adulthood. At 22-years old Serenity ascended the throne and shortly their after gave birth to our first born." He smiled at the memory. "She hasn't aged a day since. It is the power of the Ginzoshou that gave her an extended life and eternal youth. And when I married into the Silver Millennium family, I too was granted that power."
As the group digested the information, the King nodded and motioned for his daughter. "Now, Small Lady… time for you to properly introduce yourself."
The little girl blushed and stood straight, "Honored Guests. Welcome to the Crystal Palace. I am Usagi Small Lady Serenity, daughter of Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion, Crown Princess and heir of Silver Millennium. It is my pleasure to make your acquaintance."
King Endymion smiled at his daughter, "Well done, Small Lady. A very cordial and respectful greeting. One day, you will be every bit as refined and elegant as the Queen." She returned to her seat and the King looked to Tuxedo Kamen.
Tuxedo Kamen nodded, "So, we were right, and Chibi-Usa is our future daughter?" The King nodded, as Usagi closed her eyes and Tuxedo Kamen began to explain how they had concluded that Chibi-Usa was their future daughter although they had no idea how it was possible. They had then come up with the idea of giving her some happy memories as she seemed to be so troubled and what they had done.
The King nodded as Tuxedo Kamen finished and Usagi began to stir. [I thought I was dreaming.]
"So, that is why the twins disappeared as they did." He smiled at Usagi and asked with his eyes as he stretched out his hand. She nodded as he placed is hand over her belly and watched one of the babies kick at him.
"Your majesty, why don't you appear to be solid," Usagi asked.
"I often spend my evenings telling the stories of our youth, specifically the Queen's adventures and heroism of Sailor Moon to the children in the palace. So, I am not surprised that her first instinct was to go the past and seek out your help after we were attacked and although the crystal protected Serenity, the guardians and I took it on full force. As my body is healing from the wounds I endured, I am astral projecting to interact with you." He paused and clarified, "My spirit separate from my physical body."
Sailor Venus took the pause in conversation to speak up, "Who is this cute little kitten?" She asked petting the small grey kitten.
"My name is Diana and I am the daughter of Luna and Artemis." The kitten said smiling.
Luna and Artemis were blushing at the end of the couch by Usagi's feet.
"Endymion, do you know anything about the enemy that we are fighting?" Sailor Terra asked her brother.
"Yes, allow me," King Endymion said raising he staff, the lights faded, and a large volcanic looking planet appeared above them. "This is Nemesis…"
(AN: I am not going to cover the backstory of Nemesis and the black moon at this time. I feel at this point we should all know it. Thus the next chapter will start after the bulk of that has been explained.)
