A/N To address one of the PMs I received, you're right protections against Magic was not addressed on the Buffy show, that's my point, it should have been. As one reviewer pointed out, Giles is part of an organization that knows Magic exists and at least to a certain extent, uses it. But protections against Magic are not mentioned or used and they should have been. A large part of the episodes involved Magic and mental intrusions. Not addressing protection against Magic, just ways of using Magic to attack their enemies, fails the logic test. The Trio used Magic, as well as science, to attack them, Drusilla used thrall to kill Kendra and numerous other examples where the episode would been very different if protection had been used first. Giles was only vaguely aware that a disinvite spell against vampires, the most common enemy for a Vampire Slayer, even existed. Logically, that makes no sense.

"Excuse me, Mayor Chase, something has been brought to Principal Flutie's attention and he's here to discuss it with you." Charles Chase' Secretary informed him.

"Send him in, Mary." He answered and stood to greet Bob Flutie, Principal of Sunnydale High School. Charles liked Bob, he cared about the kids at the school, not just educating them, but making sure they were safe and that went a long way to a parent.

"Bob, come on in, something come up at the school?"

"It has to do with one of the teachers, you asked us to review the Driving Instructor's employment because of complaints of sexist comments. After interviewing several students who confirmed hearing him make such statements, we let him go."

"Good, but why request a meeting just to tell me that? An email would have sufficed."

"It's what came up when we were attempting to find a substitute teacher until a more permanent one can be found. You asked us to pay more careful attention to the resumes and interviews to ensure we don't hire someone like him again."

"I take it you found something."

"Yes, one of the substitute teachers, Natalie French, we found two resumes for her. One says she's 93 and retired. The other says she's thirty two and not retired, but the employment and educational history is the same for both of them. Not even the dates were changed, someone simply copied Natalie French's resume and put their own picture on it."

"That's disturbing, identity fraud that would have put this woman around teenagers? As a substitute she'd move around a lot, anything criminal she did wouldn't be caught so easily. Turn it over to the police, I'll let the Chief know and he can send someone to gather what you have. Thank you for getting on this so quickly, Bob. If you hadn't started looking at the Driving Instructor when I requested, this fake Natalie French could have been called and done whatever makes it worthwhile to her to even try identity fraud. It's not very well done of her though, possibly a first attempt. The police may be able to find out more."

"I'm just glad it was caught by my Secretary, I need to get back to the High School, I'll see you later."

Charles Chase sat at his desk thinking, he was very much afraid this fake Natalie French had targeted Sunnydale High School on purpose. Sunnydale was well known in certain circles, the demonic for one. Mayor Wilkins had made it a safe haven on purpose for demons snd vampires. That Wolfbloods and Magic users, along with a few other groups had also found refuge here had escaped his notice. "We can pass for human." Charles murmured. "So can others, ones with far less benign motives for coming here. I need to make sure the kids are on alert, whoever, whatever this fake Natalie French is, she might not abandon her reasons for coming to Sunnydale in the first place so easily."

"Hey, Willow." Alex called out to her, he and Cordelia and the others had been talking, distancing themselves from Willow had been necessary for a lot of reasons when they were younger, her being an outsider, as well as her crush on him, being the two biggest factors, but Cordelia's father wanted them to keep an eye on the Slayer's group and that meant trying to build bridges with his old friend because she was part of that group. It also meant Willow and the others would inevitably find out more about Alex and Wolfbloods in the future, it couldn't be helped. But the girls and Johnathan had protections on them now and hopefully they proved to be trustworthy with the secrets of the Wolfbloods. "I'm on my way to lunch, you heading that way too?"

"Yeah, I'm meeting Buffy and Johnathan, I guess you're meeting Cordelia and um the others in your um group."

"It's called a pack and yes, I am. I get this isn't easy for you, Willow. I had good reasons for keeping it from you, our safety is paramount and it wasn't a risk we could take. Circumstances have changed though and now you know."

"I have to know something, Alex. Is Cordelia your girlfriend just because she's also a Wolfblood?"

"No, she's my girlfriend because I love her. We can't change what we are, but I'd still love her if she wasn't."

"Okay, thank you for being honest with me."

Before Alex could say anything more a scream tore through the lunchroom and Alex reacted instinctively because that was Cordelia's voice making that sound and he hit the lunch doors running.
