Chapter 3

Vi made her way to the bridge that separated the two completely different cities. It was now time to find out if the next phase of her plan had been set in motion. She made her way under the bridge, the exact location she was hoping Ekko and Caitlyn would be at the following night. For now she was looking for something else. She made her way around the trash and rubble that filled the area, before stopping in front of barrel. Vi lifted the lid hoping with everything she had, that the items she requested would be inside. As she pulled the lid back she looked inside to find a large black bag. Vi smiled while grabbing the bag out, opening it to observe it's contents.

2 dark hooded robes, 1 map of the undercity with a small red X marking a location, 1 silver pipe with holes around the top, 2 blue tickets, and a letter.

Vi opened the letter and began to read it.

I've been able to tract down the items you requested, but they weren't easy, especially the map. You must be at the 2nd port no later than 4am with the tickets or you lose your spot. Don't forget to bring the payment.

Vi hated prison more than anything, but she had to admit it had its perks, especially when it came to having certain connections.

She decided this was also a good time to check the bag that Ekko had given her. She roamed through its contents, discovering bags of dried fruit, and meats. She immediately grabbed some of the dried meat sticking it her mouth, as she sucked out the salty juices. Savoring every bit that slid down her throat. She continued through the bag finding a clean shirt, and socks. Which she immediately decided was a good idea to trade out for the ones she were wearing. After changing she found a couple bottles of clean water. After taking a couple gulps, she pulled out the map from the other bag to examine it more closely. The location was a bit further than she expected and decided she better set out immediately to make sure she didn't run out of time. She combined the bags together and set out to her next location.

Day was breaking in piltover, but that didn't matter to the undercity. The undercity was always covered in darkness, with the exception of the neon lights that lined most buildings. The streets were usually filled with people, but after the events of the last few weeks, they remained mostly emptied, other than a few unsavory types. Vi threw one of dark hooded robes on hoping to better conceal herself, as she ventured deeper into the undercities belly.

Hours had now passed as she finally began getting close to her location. Although there was no one to be found, she knew she needed to stay hidden. She made her way to a roof top, that was located across from the building that was marked on the map. She found a large window she could see into from her location. She decided to wait, to see if anyone would show themselves.

It didn't take long. loud explosions, followed by flashes a bright blue. Immediately she knew she was in the right spot.

She made her way to the center of the roof she was on, pulled the silver pipe from her bag, and prepared for what was to follow.

"There's no going back now" she closed her eyes held up the silver pipe, and pushed the button located on the bottom.

Immediately a loud horn sound rang from the device, followed by a thick cloud of blue smoke that began flowing through the top and sides. A very similar device that she once gave her sister to help her locate powder when she was ready to be found, Vi now hoping this would do the same for her.

Vi stood tall allowing the smoke to completely dissipate. She looked around but found nothing. She continued to stand, to wait. Her heart beginning to slowly sink. Maybe her sister was lost to her forever she thought. Just as she turned to walk away she was stopped by a familiar voice.

"No enforcer girlfriend, or I guess I should say sheriff now. Gee never thought my sister would be dating the SHERRIFF OF PILTOVER". Jinxed yelled followed by a menacing laugh.

"I'm not dating her". Vi yelled back, keeping her distance unsure if Jinx were alone.

"Oh no, you guys get in a fight? Were you hoping to capture me to take back to her as an apology present". As Jinx said these words her eyes began to turn pink, focusing more closely on Vi's movements. "I gotta say sis, without your gauntlets, I'm not sure you stand much of chance".

Vi could feel her heart beat faster, as sweat began to form on her head, and hands. "No, that's not why I'm here. I have no desire to turn you over to the Sherriff or anyone else in that fucking place".

Jinx's eyes grew bigger, as she slowly began making her way closer to her sister. Vi wanting to turn away and run, but knew this was it, this was her only chance. Jinx moved in closer, now just mere inches from Vi. "Then what are you intentions with me big sis"? Jinx said while giving a pouting face, then reaching one hand up, and removing some hair out of Vi's face.

Vi felt pure panic run through her body at the touch of Jinx. But before she knew it, she was throwing her arms around Jinx pulling her closer into an embrace.

Jinx was caught off guard, she tried to pull herself back, but her sisters long strong arms held onto her, only pulling her in tighter when she would try and pull away. Jinx decided to allow the embrace, it even felt good she thought. After minutes passed Vi finally let go. Liquid filling her eyes as she looked down at her sister.

"Runaway with me"?

Jinx stared blankly not understanding these words.

"I've secured us passage out of here. Just me and you. We can leave this place and start new lives".

"Why would I want to leave now, I have everything, and soon I will have piltover". Jinx now smiling

"Because you won't win, and if they don't kill you, you will end up in stillwater, and I can't bare to think of you there. Please JINX, come with me"?

Jinx nearly fell over hearing Vi call her Jinx. "You finally learned my name".

"I don't care who you are or what your name is, your my sister and nothing will change that".

Small tears began to form in Jinx's eyes. "What would we even do"?

"Whatever we want. No one would be hunting us, we would be free to live our lives like mom and dad wanted, like Vander always wanted. I can't promise you things will be easy, but we will finally be able to be together". Vi could see Jinx fighting within herself, with the other voices controlling her.

"Look here is a robe and a ticket in the pocket. If you want to come with me, meet me at the 2nd airboat docks no later than 4am. I'm going, with or without you. I can't live here anymore. This place has been nothing but loss for me. It's not my home, I won't fight to save it. Your all I have left".

Vi then leaned in and hugged Jinx one last time while kissing her forehead. "I love you my sister". Vi then leaned back to take one last look at her sister before turning to walk away.

Jinx stood still, watching Vi leave. Not knowing what her next move should be. Before she turned to walk back to her warehouse, she saw Vi turn back and look at her. "See you in a few hours". Vi said while waving, then jumped off the building landing out of site.

Jinx smiled.
