Sango's anguished cries broke Kagome's heart as she watched Sango cradle Kohaku's lifeless body, tears cascading down her face. Inuyasha stood not too far from her, his expression a mix of sorrow and helplessness. Sesshomaru had taken Kagome into his arms, allowing her to sob into his chest as she mourned Kohaku and shared in Sango's grief.

Kagome couldn't heal Kohaku, and Sesshomaru's ability to bring him back had been futile since Kohaku had been dead for over two years now. The weight of that realization hung heavy in the air.

Miroku let out a pained cry, collapsing as he clutched his arm to his chest.

"Miroku!" Inuyasha caught him, his voice filled with urgency. "You damn idiot. He tore open his wind tunnel trying to absorb Magatsuhi's true self."

Kagome left the safety of Sesshomaru's arms, running over to Miroku. She ripped open his robes to see the poison spreading quickly, its dark tendrils reaching toward his chest, where his heart rested.

"Can he be saved?" Inuyasha asked, his tone broken.

Kagome swallowed hard, her eyes filling with tears. "Either his wind tunnel or the poison will kill him. He has a week at most."

Sango gasped, whipping her head around to watch them. She began to cry even more, her sobs blending with the tension in the air.

"Our best bet is to finish this," Kagome spoke softly. "If we kill Naraku, then the wind tunnel will disappear, leaving only the poison, which I can cleanse from his body."

"Then that is what we will do," Sango rasped, her gaze fixed on Miroku's unconscious form with a dark determination.

"Sango," Inuyasha turned to her, his voice gentle but firm. "We'll save him. We'll save them both."

Kagome felt a pulse resonate within her as she gasped aloud, her eyes pulling her towards the bright pink light from where the shard had been placed. Just then, a weak cough broke the somber silence. Sango's eyes widened as she looked down to see Kohaku stirring in her arms, his eyes fluttering open.

"K-Kohaku?" she whispered, her voice trembling with hope and disbelief.

"S-Sister..." Kohaku managed to rasp out, his voice weak but alive. Tears of relief and joy streamed down Sango's face as she held him tighter, careful not to hurt him.

Kagome, Inuyasha, and Sesshomaru watched in amazement and relief. Sesshomaru's eyes softened slightly as he observed the siblings' reunion.

"How... how is this possible?" Sango asked, her voice filled with wonder.

Kohaku's eyes, though tired, held a glimmer of clarity. "Kikyo decided in the end that she would save Kohaku instead of purifying the jewel."

Sango sobbed, hugging Kohaku tightly. "Thank the gods... thank you, Kikyo."

Miroku stirred again, groaning in pain. Kagome turned her attention back to him, determination hardening her features. "We need to move quickly. We still have to save Miroku."

Kagome had cleansed as much of the poison as she could. That night Sango and Inuyasha went off on their own, while Kohaku stayed in the village with Kaede and the unconscious Miroku. Sesshomaru had taken Kagome far from the village, to ensure privacy.

The night was quiet, the only sound the gentle rustling of leaves in the wind and the soft bubbling of the hot spring. The moon cast a silver glow over the landscape, illuminating the steam rising from the water. Sesshomaru and Kagome had found a secluded hot spring, nestled among the trees, a perfect sanctuary for a moment of peace.

Kagome dipped a toe into the hot spring, sighing in contentment as the warmth spread through her. She slowly submerged herself, the water lapping at her skin, soothing her tired muscles. She closed her eyes, letting the tension of the day melt away.

Kagome slipped into the water first, the heat soothing her tired muscles. She leaned back against the smooth rocks, her eyes closed as she let the warmth envelop her. Sesshomaru watched her, his golden eyes darkening with a mixture of adoration and desire. He shed his clothing with a graceful ease, joining her in the hot spring.

He moved towards her, the water rippling around his powerful form. Kagome opened her eyes, meeting his intense gaze. Her heart skipped a beat, her breath catching in her throat at the sight of him. Sesshomaru's beauty was ethereal, his silver hair cascading over his shoulders, his flawless skin glistening with droplets of water.

Sesshomaru reached out, his hand gently cupping her cheek. "Little miko," he murmured, his voice a low, seductive rumble.

She leaned into his touch, her eyes closing again as she savored the warmth of his hand. "Sesshomaru," she whispered, her voice trembling with anticipation.

His thumb brushed over her lower lip, his gaze darkening further. "You have given so much of yourself," he said softly. "Allow me to give something back to you."

Kagome's eyes fluttered open, meeting his gaze. The intensity in his eyes sent a shiver down her spine, a delicious thrill that made her heart race. She nodded, her voice barely a whisper. "Yes."

Sesshomaru's lips curved into a small, sensual smile as he leaned in, capturing her lips in a slow, passionate kiss. Kagome melted into the kiss, her arms wrapping around his neck as she pressed herself against him. The water swirled around them, the heat a perfect reflection of the fire igniting between them.

He deepened the kiss, his tongue exploring her mouth with a tantalizing slowness that left her breathless. His hands roamed over her body, his touch both gentle and possessive. Kagome moaned softly into his mouth, her fingers tangling in his silver hair.

Sesshomaru pulled back slightly, his breath hot against her lips. "Turn around," he whispered, his voice thick with desire.

Kagome obeyed, her heart pounding with anticipation as she turned to face the edge of the hot spring. She felt his hands on her hips, guiding her to lean forward, her hands gripping the smooth rocks for support. Sesshomaru's touch sent sparks of pleasure through her body, heightening her senses.

He kissed the nape of her neck, his lips trailing down her spine as he knelt behind her. Kagome's breath hitched, her body trembling with desire. Sesshomaru's hands caressed her thighs, parting them gently as he positioned himself between her legs.

His tongue flicked out, tasting her wetness with a slow, deliberate stroke. Kagome gasped, her back arching as pleasure surged through her. Sesshomaru's tongue moved with skillful precision, teasing and tasting her most sensitive areas. She moaned his name, her fingers digging into the rocks as she fought to keep herself upright.

Sesshomaru growled softly against her, the vibrations adding to her pleasure. He lapped at her eagerly, his tongue exploring every inch of her, driving her wild with need. Kagome's moans grew louder, her body trembling as she neared the edge.

"Sesshomaru," she whimpered, her voice breaking with need. "Please..."

He didn't stop, his tongue delving deeper, his hands gripping her hips to hold her in place. Kagome's world narrowed to the intense pleasure he was giving her, her body arching and trembling as she finally reached her climax. She cried out his name, her body shuddering with the force of her release.

Sesshomaru continued to lap at her, drawing out her pleasure until she was a trembling, boneless mess. Only then did he pull back, his lips glistening with her essence. He stood, his eyes dark with lust as he looked down at her.

Kagome turned to face him, her breath coming in ragged gasps. She reached out, her hands trembling as she touched his chest, feeling the hard muscles beneath his smooth skin. "Now it's my turn," she whispered, her voice filled with determination.

Sesshomaru's eyes widened slightly, his breath hitching as she slowly lowered herself to her knees in the water. Kagome's hands trailed down his body, her touch sending shivers of anticipation through him. She looked up at him, her eyes dark with desire as she took him into her mouth.

Sesshomaru groaned, his head falling back as her warm, wet mouth enveloped him. Kagome's tongue swirled around him, teasing and tasting with a skill that drove him wild. She moved with a slow, deliberate rhythm, her hands gripping his hips to hold him steady.

He watched her, his golden eyes dark with lust as she pleasured him. Kagome's mouth worked him expertly, her tongue and lips driving him closer to the edge with every stroke. Sesshomaru's hands tangled in her hair, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he fought to control himself.

"Koi," he groaned, his voice thick with need. "You're... perfect."

She looked up at him, her eyes filled with love and desire as she increased her pace. Sesshomaru's control slipped, his body trembling with the force of his pleasure. He felt himself nearing the edge, his release building with an intensity that took his breath away.

"Little miko," he grunted, his voice breaking.

She didn't stop, her mouth and hands driving him over the edge. Sesshomaru ground out her name, his body shuddering as he spilled his hot cum into her mouth. Kagome took him in, her eyes never leaving his as she swallowed every drop.

"Koi," he murmured, his voice filled with love and awe. "You are... everything to me."

She smiled, her eyes shining with love as she rested her head against his chest. "And you are everything to me, Sesshomaru."

Kagome opened her eyes, smiling up at him. "This feels amazing," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the bubbling water.

He nodded, reaching out to gently tuck a strand of wet hair behind her ear. "Koi," he said softly. "Accept this one's apology for lack of attention as of late"

She leaned into his touch, her eyes fluttering closed again. "No need to apologize," she murmured.

They sat in silence for a while, the only sounds their breaths and the soft splashing of water as they moved. Kagome turned slightly, resting her head on Sesshomaru's shoulder. He wrapped an arm around her, pulling her closer, his fingers tracing gentle patterns on her back.

"I have missed you," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion.

"This one has missed you as well" his own voice tender.

She felt a warmth spread through her that had nothing to do with the hot spring. She reached up, cupping his face in her hands. "Sesshomaru, I fear for the final battle."

"This one will protect you," he vowed silently.

He leaned down, his lips brushing against hers in a soft, tender kiss. It was slow, unhurried, filled with the promise of a thousand more moments like this. Kagome melted into him, her hands slipping around his neck as she deepened the kiss, pouring all her love and gratitude into it.

When they finally pulled apart, they were both breathing heavily, their foreheads resting against each other. Sesshomaru's hand came up to cradle her face, his thumb stroking her cheek.

"I love you," he whispered, the words carrying the weight of his emotions.

"I love you too," she replied, her voice just as soft but filled with certainty.

The eerie silence of the corrupted forest was broken by the soft rustling of leaves as the group cautiously made their way deeper into Naraku's domain. The sinister aura thickened with each step, and the air itself seemed to pulse with malevolence. The sky was pitch black, demons being lured from all directions towards the large spider in the sky.

Kagome was held by Sesshomaru as he flew, Sango, Mirokue and Inuyasha were atop of Kirara. Large sticky webs covered the spider, demons were being trapped by the webs and dying instantaneously as the dark purple miasma coveted the air.

"Stay close," Inuyasha growled, his amber eyes scanning their surroundings. His hand rested on the hilt of Tessaiga, ready to strike at a moment's notice.

Kagome nodded, her bow and arrows at the ready. She could feel the malevolent energy radiating from Naraku's body, and it made her skin crawl. "This place... it's like a nightmare," she murmured, her voice tinged with unease.

Sesshomaru walked beside them, his expression stoic but his eyes alert. The flicker of his youki and the grip on Bakusaiga indicated his readiness for battle. His presence was a comforting, solid force amid the dark chaos.

Sesshomaru, Inuyasha and Kagome immediately jumped into the mouth of the large spider. They reached inside, a massive, pulsating spider web that glistened with a sickly, dark light. The web was alive, moving and writhing as though it had a mind of its own. The entrance beckoned them with a foreboding invitation.

"Let's do this," Sango said, her grip tightening on Hiraikotsu. Miroku stood beside her, his staff in hand and a determined look on his face.

With a collective breath, the group stepped through the web, entering the heart of Naraku's lair. The interior was a grotesque landscape, with twisted tunnels of flesh and bone that seemed to shift and change as they moved deeper inside. The walls pulsated with a dark energy, and the air was thick with the stench of decay.

"Watch your step," Miroku warned, his voice echoing in the eerie silence.

As they ventured further, they encountered grotesque spider-like demons, Naraku's minions. Inuyasha slashed through them with Tessaiga, his movements swift and precise. Sesshomaru's Bakusaiga cut through the creatures effortlessly, the blade's power eradicating them completely. Sango's Hiraikotsu and Miroku's sacred sutras made quick work of any enemies that dared to cross their path.

Despite their progress, the oppressive atmosphere and the relentless onslaught of Naraku's minions took a toll on the group. Fatigue began to set in, but they pressed on, yet they were being tainted with the miasma that emitted from the spider webs.

Finally, they reached a vast chamber. The walls were covered in a web-like substance, and at the center of the chamber stood Naraku himself. Except he was covered in a black armor shell. He looked different, more monstrous than ever before.

"So, you've finally made it," Naraku sneered, his voice echoing through the chamber. "Welcome to your doom."

"Naraku!" Inuyasha snarled, raising Tessaiga. "This ends now!"

Naraku laughed, a chilling sound that sent shivers down their spines. "Fools. You think you can defeat me? I am eternal. I am darkness itself."

Sesshomaru stepped forward, his eyes narrowing. "Your reign of terror ends here, Naraku."

With a roar, Naraku unleashed a wave of dark energy, but Kagome raised her bow, firing a sacred arrow that cut through the darkness and struck Naraku, causing him to recoil in pain. The battle began in earnest, with each member of the group attacking with everything they had.

Inuyasha's Tessaiga clashed with Naraku's dark tendrils, the blade glowing with a fierce light. This caused Naraku to split into two. Sesshomaru's Bakusaiga cut through Naraku's defenses, the demonic energy of the sword eradicating any part of Naraku it touched. Sango's Hiraikotsu flew through the air, striking Naraku with devastating force, while Miroku used his sacred sutras to weaken Naraku's defenses.

Despite their efforts, Naraku seemed to regenerate, his body reforming each time they struck him down. The group began to feel the strain, their attacks growing weaker with each passing moment.

"We can't keep this up forever," Sango panted, her breath coming in ragged gasps.

"We have to find his weak spot," Miroku said, his eyes scanning Naraku's monstrous form. "There has to be a way to destroy him completely."

Kagome could only watch helplessly as she was unable to do anything. Then, she felt a sudden pulse from the sacred jewel. It was calling out to her, drawing her into a trance-like state. She began to walk in the opposite direction, away from the battle.

"Kagome!" Inuyasha shouted, his voice filled with alarm.

Sesshomaru whipped around to find his little Miko walking further and further into Naraku's body. Realizing the danger she was in, Sesshomaru immediately abandoned the fight, rushing towards Kagome with Inuyasha following close behind. Naraku, seeing the opportunity, cackled with malevolent glee. He began to manipulate the very flesh of his body, opening holes and creating walls to separate them from each other.

Sesshomaru leaped through the closing gaps with incredible speed, but the labyrinthine nature of Naraku's body proved to be a formidable obstacle. Inuyasha, too, was forced to navigate the shifting corridors, his frustration growing with each barrier that appeared.

"Kagome!" Sesshomaru called out, his voice echoing through the twisted passages.

Inuyasha, fueled by desperation, slashed at the walls with Tessaiga, but the miasma that permeated Naraku's body began to seep into his lungs. His vision blurred, and his senses dulled as the toxic fumes took their toll. Inuyasha's grip on Tessaiga faltered, and he dropped to his knees, struggling to maintain control.

Sesshomaru, sensing the miasma's effect on his half-brother, turned to see Inuyasha's eyes flash red. The transformation was swift and violent; Inuyasha's demonic blood took over, his claws lengthened, and his fangs grew sharper. His once amber eyes now glowed crimson with bloodlust.

"Inuyasha!" Sesshomaru roared, but it was too late.

The transformed Inuyasha lunged forward, his movements wild and erratic. Sesshomaru knew that in this state, Inuyasha couldn't differentiate friend from foe. Kagome, still in her trance, was in imminent danger.

Sesshomaru sprinted faster, trying to reach Kagome before Inuyasha could, but Naraku's barriers continued to impede him. He slashed through the fleshy walls with Bakusaiga, each strike eradicating the demonic tissue and opening a path.

Meanwhile, Kagome's trance led her deeper into Naraku's labyrinth. She moved as if guided by an unseen force, oblivious to the chaos around her. The sacred jewel pulsed within her, drawing her closer to its core.

Inuyasha's feral form caught up to Kagome, his claws poised to strike. Kagome, still entranced, was unaware of the imminent threat. Sesshomaru, seeing the danger, summoned all his speed and power, closing the distance in a desperate bid to save her.

With a thunderous roar, Sesshomaru leapt between Inuyasha and Kagome, blocking the blow meant for her. Inuyasha's claws raked across Sesshomaru's armor, sparks flying as they connected with the enchanted metal. Sesshomaru pushed Inuyasha back with a powerful strike, the force of his blow sending Inuyasha crashing into a wall.

"Inuyasha, snap out of it!" Sesshomaru commanded, his voice a mix of authority and desperation.

Inuyasha growled, his mind consumed by the miasma's influence. He attacked again, his movements feral and uncoordinated. Sesshomaru dodged and countered, each clash of their blades echoing through the twisted halls.

Kagome's trance finally broke, the pulsing of the sacred jewel intensifying. She turned to see Inuyasha and Sesshomaru locked in battle, the sight filling her with dread. "Inuyasha! Sesshomaru!" she cried out, her voice cutting through the din of combat.

Sesshomaru spared a glance at Kagome, his expression softening for a moment. "Stay back, Koi. It's too dangerous."

But Kagome refused to retreat. She reached out with her spiritual energy, hoping to calm Inuyasha's raging spirit. "Inuyasha, please, it's me, Kagome!"

Inuyasha hesitated, his crimson eyes flickering with recognition. The miasma's hold on him weakened as Kagome's aura reached him. With a final surge of willpower, Inuyasha fought against the demonic influence, his eyes slowly returning to their normal amber hue.

Sesshomaru seized the moment, knocking Inuyasha back with a powerful blow. "Control yourself, mutt," he growled.

As though it seemed to reach him, his eyes went back to a normal color. Only for him to lose himself once more, he threw Sesshomaru off him easily causing him to be thrown back into the walls of Naraku. Tentacles of flesh held Sesshomaru in place as he could only watch in horror as Inuyasha descended on Kagome. Who was slowly backing away from him and closer and closer to the edge.

Sesshomaru, eyes flashing red were struggling against his restraints in an attempt to get to his little intended.

Kagome's heart raced as she backed away from Inuyasha, her eyes wide with fear and confusion. "Inuyasha, please! Snap out of it!" she pleaded, her voice trembling. But Inuyasha, under the influence of the miasma, seemed beyond reason.

Naraku's laughter echoed through the chamber, his voice dripping with malice. "Such a touching scene. But alas, it's time for the final act." From the darkness, a grotesque tentacle extended, holding an arrow crafted from pure miasma. The arrow pulsed with dark energy, radiating malevolence.

"Kagome, my dear," Naraku cooed, "if you wish to save yourself, use this arrow. Strike down the beast before he destroys you."

Kagome's eyes filled with horror as the arrow was thrust toward her. The miasma's foul energy made her skin crawl, but she refused to take it. "No! I won't harm Inuyasha!" she shouted, her voice strong despite her fear.

Naraku's expression darkened. "How noble. But foolish." With a flick of his tentacle, the arrow was forced into her hands.

Inuyasha, sensing the miasma, growled and advanced on Kagome. His claws glinted menacingly, his demonic rage completely taking over. Sesshomaru, seeing Kagome's peril, roared in fury, his eyes glowing with a desperate intensity. He struggled fiercely against the restraints, but the fleshy tentacles tightened their grip, holding him immobile.

Kagome's heart pounded as she stood at the precipice, the arrow of miasma in her trembling hands. Tears streamed down her face as she looked at Inuyasha, who was now mere steps away. "Inuyasha, please... don't make me do this," she whispered, her voice breaking.

But Inuyasha, lost in his demonic rage, lunged at her. Kagome, in a last-ditch effort, dropped the arrow and raised her hands, her spiritual energy flaring. "Stay back!" she cried, a barrier forming around her.

For a moment, Inuyasha hesitated, the barrier's purity clashing with the miasma. But then, with a savage roar, he broke through, his eyes filled with bloodlust. Kagome stumbled back, losing her footing and teetering on the edge of the cliff.

Sesshomaru's roar of fury and fear echoed through the chamber as he redoubled his efforts, his claws tearing at the restraints. "Kagome!" he bellowed, his voice raw with desperation.

Naraku's laughter grew louder, his pleasure evident as he watched the scene unfold. "It seems your precious miko has met her end, Sesshomaru."

Inuyasha, in his mindless state, reached out and pushed Kagome. Her scream pierced the air as she fell, her eyes locked with Sesshomaru's. In that moment, time seemed to slow. Sesshomaru's heart wrenched in his chest as he watched his beloved little miko fall into the abyss.

"KAGOME!" Sesshomaru roared, his voice filled with a mix of anguish and rage. With a final, desperate surge of power, he broke free of the restraints, the flesh tearing away under his claws. He launched himself toward the edge, his eyes locked on the rapidly disappearing form of Kagome.

But it was too late. She was gone.

Naraku's laughter rang out, triumphant and mocking. "You see, Sesshomaru? Even the great daiyokai cannot protect what he holds dear."

Sesshomaru turned, his eyes blazing with unrestrained fury. "Naraku, you will pay for this," he growled, his voice deadly calm. He advanced on Naraku, Bakusaiga glowing with lethal energy. "I will tear you apart piece by piece until there is nothing left."

Naraku's smile faltered as he saw the pure, unbridled wrath in Sesshomaru's eyes.

Kagome's eyes fluttered open, and she found herself lying in the same tranquil field of flowers as before. The sky was a brilliant blue, and the soft breeze carried the soothing scent of blooming flowers. Confusion and a deep sense of loss washed over her as she sat up, her heart aching with the memory of falling from the cliff.

"Where...?" she murmured, looking around, trying to piece together what had happened.

A familiar figure approached, her aura calm and powerful. Midoriko, the legendary priestess, stood before Kagome, her expression serene and knowing.

"Midoriko," Kagome whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "What...what happened? Where am I?"

Midoriko offered a gentle smile, her eyes filled with understanding. "You are in a place between worlds, Kagome. A realm of the soul."

Kagome's confusion deepened. "But why? Why am I here? What am I supposed to do?"

Midoriko stepped closer, her presence radiating warmth and reassurance. "You must place your faith in your mate, Sesshomaru. He has the power to defeat Magatsuhi and restore balance."

Kagome's eyes widened, her heart pounding with a mixture of fear and hope. "But how can I just stand by and do nothing? I want to help him, to fight alongside him."

Midoriko reached out, placing a comforting hand on Kagome's shoulder. "Your strength is your love, your faith. Sesshomaru draws power from your bond. Trust in him, Kagome. He is driven by his love for you, and that love will guide him to victory."

Tears welled in Kagome's eyes as she thought of Sesshomaru, of his determination and fierce protectiveness. "I do trust him," she said softly. "With all my heart."

Midoriko nodded, her smile widening. "Then have faith. Your sacred energy is linked to your heart. When Sesshomaru defeats Magatsuhi, your energy will be restored, and you will be reunited."

Kagome took a deep breath, the knot of fear in her chest loosening. "I understand. I believe in Sesshomaru. He'll come for me."

Midoriko's form began to shimmer, her presence fading. "Hold onto that faith, Kagome. It will be your strength in the darkest times."

As the vision of Midoriko disappeared, the field around Kagome began to dissolve, and she felt a pull, drawing her back to the physical world. She closed her eyes, focusing on the image of Sesshomaru, his fierce eyes and unwavering resolve.

"I trust you, Sesshomaru," she whispered. "Come find me."

The world around her shifted, and Kagome felt herself being drawn back into consciousness, her heart filled with a renewed sense of hope and determination.

She awoke, sitting up to find herself protected by a pink barrier, small and weak demons were dissolving as they were killing themselves trying to get her. Whimpering, she felt pain in her forearms, the sleeves of her miko garb were covered in blood from when Inuyasha dug his claws into her. Standing, she felt that same pulsating feeling in her that was leading her to the jewel. However, she needed to find Inuyasha first before he lost himself completely.

The scent of flowers fading as she returned to the dark, dank environment within Naraku. She was bruised and disoriented from her fall, but the tug of her bond with Sesshomaru was strong, pulling her forward. Determined, she pushed herself up, her heart pounding with a mix of urgency and resolve.

"Sesshomaru," she whispered, feeling the connection between them pulsing like a beacon. She began to move, navigating the labyrinthine passages of Naraku's body. The walls pulsed with a sickly, malevolent energy, but Kagome pressed on, driven by the need to find her mate and help him.

As she followed the pull of their bond, she heard the distant sounds of battle—clashing blades, feral growls, and the unmistakable voice of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha. She quickened her pace, her heart racing.

Turning a corner, she finally saw them. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha were locked in a fierce battle, the intensity of their clash sending shockwaves through the air. But something was terribly wrong. Inuyasha's eyes glowed a malevolent red, his movements erratic and brutal. Magatsuhi's sinister laughter echoed through the chamber, emanating from Inuyasha's form.

Sesshomaru fought with a controlled fury, his Bakusaiga clashing against Inuyasha's claws. He dodged a wild swipe from Inuyasha, his golden eyes narrowing with determination. Nearby, Tenseiga lay embedded in the ground, out of reach.

"Inuyasha!" Kagome called out, but her voice was drowned out by the sounds of the fight.

Sesshomaru glanced in her direction for a split second, his eyes flashing with a mix of relief and urgency. "Stay back, Kagome!"

But Kagome couldn't stand by and watch. She had to do something. She reached deep within herself, searching for the remnants of her sacred energy, the power that Midoriko had assured her would return. She focused on the bond with Sesshomaru, drawing strength from it, letting it guide her.

Inuyasha lunged at Sesshomaru with a feral roar, his claws extended to strike. Sesshomaru deflected the attack with Bakusaiga, the force of the clash sending sparks flying.

Kagome moved closer, her eyes locked on Inuyasha. She could see the struggle within him, the faint flicker of his true self fighting against Magatsuhi's control. "Inuyasha, fight it! I know you're in there! You can overcome this!"

Magatsuhi's voice emanated from Inuyasha, mocking and cruel. "He's mine now, Midoriko. He cannot hear you."

Sesshomaru growled, his focus unbroken.

Kagome took a deep breath, reaching out with her spirit. She called upon the bond she shared with Inuyasha as well, the deep friendship and trust that had always connected them. "Inuyasha!"

For a moment, Inuyasha's movements faltered, his eyes flickering with a glimmer of recognition. Magatsuhi's grip on him weakened, and Sesshomaru seized the opportunity. He struck with precision, Bakusaiga's energy slicing through Inuyasha's defenses, targeting the source of the possession.

Inuyasha roared, the dark aura around him shattering as Magatsuhi's hold was broken. He stumbled back, his eyes returning to their normal amber hue, filled with anguish and pain.

"Sesshomaru," Kagome called out

Sesshomaru nodded, his eyes softening as he looked at her, taking her into his arms to search for any signs of injury or harm and found none. Her whole body began to pulse, glowing a bright pink light. The whole body of Naraku began to thrum and pulse, losing her balance, she began to fall only for Inuyasha to reach out and catch her.

Immediately, her sacred energy cleansed Inuyasha of the miasma that plagued his body. Her whole body began to glow a brighter pink as the miasma was cleansed from the entirety of Naraku's body. Her sacred energy channeled her purification powers.

As Kagome's sacred energy pulsed through Naraku's grotesque body, purifying the miasma, a dark laughter echoed around them. The walls of flesh trembled, and Naraku's voice seeped into their minds, sinister and mocking.

"Inuyasha, Kagome, Sesshomaru," Naraku's voice taunted, echoing through the chamber. "Do you really believe this will end here? Do you think you can purify me so easily?"

Sesshomaru growled, his eyes narrowing with determination.

Naraku's laughter grew louder, more mocking. "Fools. The sacred energy of the Shikon Jewel will only serve to lure your precious friends, the monk and the demon slayer, into their own destruction."

Inuyasha tightened his grip on Tessaiga, his eyes blazing with anger. "What are you talking about, Naraku?"

"Ah, Inuyasha," Naraku continued, his voice dripping with malice. "Do you not understand? While you fight me here, your friends are walking into a trap. The light of the jewel will draw them in, and their own desires and fears will lead to their undoing."

Kagome's eyes widened with realization and fear. "Sango! Miroku! No, we have to warn them!"

Naraku's sinister laughter echoed again. "Too late, Kagome. They are already within my grasp. The monk's wind tunnel will consume him, and the demon slayer's rage will be her downfall. You cannot save them."

Sesshomaru's eyes flashed with anger.

Naraku's voice was filled with dark amusement. "You are welcome to try. But know this—your struggles are futile. You cannot protect them from their own weaknesses."

Kagome's determination flared, her sacred energy burning brighter. "We will find them, and we will save them. Your evil will not prevail, Naraku."
