Full chapter title: We Want Drive Through Peace and Instant Hope.
The sky had turned back to its regular blue, and Micheáilínhad ordered everyone to start burying the dead.
"What is next for you, your majesty?"
"Will someone please hitch up a wagon to my horses? I want everything I need out of this cottage. I'm going to burn it down."
"Where will you live now, your majesty?"
"I will figure out something."
Micheáilín gathered any dry food, clothes, and weapons out of the house. She lit a fire in the fireplace and doused the house in oil before stepping outside and getting on the wagon.
"We will build you a new house, your majesty."
"Don't worry about it right now. Continue to work on burying the dead. I will find a new place. No one is to follow me."
"Of course, your majesty."
Micheáilín wanted to get as far away from the pond and the creek, everywhere she grew up around. On the way down the road, she ran into a familiar face.
"Iollan?! Iollan, I thought you were among the dead!"
"I was careful to hide from your mother. How is your family taking all this?"
"My entire family is dead. Their ashes are around my neck. I even burned my mother. She was good to us at times. Unfortunately, most of the time she was evil, but she was still my mother."
"No child deserves a mother like that. Your father must have been the one to raise you truly."
"Yes, he was."
"I hear you have been crowned queen, and you have named this land Terebinthia."
"Yes to both."
"But if you are the queen, where are you going?"
"I had to get away from where I grew up. I could never live in that house again. I'll find a new spot, I'll build a new house. I need to not be my mother."
"Your mother was the Triple Goddess. You know she can never truly die."
"How do you know she was the Triple Goddess?"
"Well, you could have denied it just now, but you didn't. And I know a lot of things about your mother. Like the fact that she was the daughter of the god Sainrith mac Imbaith and the goddess Ernmas, and she was the sister of the sea goddess Calypso. And that Eru Ilúvatar was the main judge against her. And that he wanted to keep her as far away from me as possible."
"Far away from you? Iollan, what do you have to do with my mother? How do you know all of this?"
"Is den Ainur, de Valar mé."
"Iollan, what are you talking about?"
"Tá mé curtha amach."
"My mother used to say similar things."
"Is liomsa an domhain."
"Iollan, you weren't like this when we met."
"Is liomsa an talamh seo."
As Iollan was talking to her, he circled around her wagon to intimidate her.
"Déanfaidh mé dorchadas iomlán ar an saol seo."
"You're not trying to curse me are you?"
"Beidh tine agus ruaim ag cur báistí anuas ón spéir."
"My mother said similar words once."
"Beidh an talamh scorched."
When Iollan would look directly at her, his eyes would turn into blood-red snake eyes.
"Triomóidh na huiscí suas."
"Who gives you the authority to let the waters dry up, Iollan?"
"Ní bheidh na crainn níos mó."
Micheáilín looked at the trees around her, some of which she even planted when she was a child.
"Ní bheidh na héin ag eitilt a thuilleadh."
"The birds will always fly. What on earth are you going on about?"
"Beidh mo ghlór go léir a chloiseann aon duine."
As Iollan continued to talk, his voice started to sound hollow and dark.
"Beidh bás gach duine a fheiceann."
"You can't kill everyone, and why would you want to?"
"Agus ní bheidh deireadh le mo réimeas."
All Micheáilín could do was pray her mother was not casting a spell on Iollan from the ashes.
"Is mise Melkor."
"It can't be."
"Is mise an duine a fhreagróidh an domhan."
Micheáilín casually let loose of the reins of the horses. After what Iollan told her, she was prepared to run at all costs and run fast like a bat out of hell.
"You say you are Melkor. My mother is dead now. You have no purpose here."
"So you say, dear girl. But her spirit will endure. I have had every intention of getting a hold of the Triple Goddess, of her blood, and of her life. Now her spirit is within my grasp."
"Her spirit died with her!"
"No, Micheáilín. If you forget, your mother is a goddess, she cannot die."
"She could die if God Almighty decided it was her time, and it was her time!"
"No, it will never be her time. Her spirit is in every crow, every horse, every battlefield. Every time you look at the moon, she looks right down upon you."
"I wouldn't know if she does, Iollan. Since I burned her body mere hours ago, and the sun has not even set yet! When I look at the moon, I see the wonders of God, of how such a great light can shine through such an obsolete rock."
With his rage at the tipping point, Iollan pushed Micheáilín off the wagon and onto the ground.
"I will be getting what I want from you! What I have always wanted and needed from your mother, but you will work just the same! My blood will mingle with the blood of the Triple Goddess, whether I have to resurrect her or use you as a vessel!"
He pushed up the skirt of her dress and pulled down her undergarments, and Micheáilín tried to fight him off as best as she could.
"Get off me! Get off of me! Namhaid dubh, in ainm Dé Uilechumhachtaigh, ní dhéanfaidh tú é seo!"
"I still prefer Melkor! I am the one who will rise above the rest!"
Melkor slapped her for calling him Morgoth. Micheáilín had started to become delirious, and she was seeing visions from her childhood.
"Mamaí! Athair! Help me! Someone help me!"
"It is either this, Micheáilín, or I will destroy all of the people you have been crowned queen of!"
All she could do was shut her eyes and pray silently that it would be over. Micheáilín had a dagger hidden in her dress, but it was too late. Melkor had unfortunately achieved his goal. He cleaned himself up and disappeared into the forest, leaving her there for dead.
"Is this what you wanted for me, Mamaí?! To be bleeding out on the forest floor like a dead animal?! To be violated by a monster?! You got what you wanted! I am the Queen of Terebinthia, and for what price?! Curse you! Curse you, Mamaí, wherever you are!"
Micheáilín was willing to let herself bleed to death, but she did not get her wish. Morgoth's companion Ungoliant had witnessed crime, as she was hidden in a tree. Ungoliant dragged Micheáilín to a nearby house, where the people inside took care of their new queen.
