The Knight Bus came to a screeching halt at the front of St. Mungos. A man in long black robes that fluttered behind him, came rushing down the steps of the bus with a floating young boy behind him. His hurried steps up the entrance stairs and through the welcome doors had the front desk attendant looking up from her work when he burst in. She lunged from her seat at the pensive look on his face as she saw a floating body of a child covered in blood.

"Get me all your Medi-Wizards immediately. I have a boy with severe internal bleeding, one of which is in his brain." Severus said with gritted teeth. While the woman had been quick to jump from her seat, she froze at the sight of the boy as he came into a clearer view. "NOW, woman!" He barked! The woman unfroze and immediately flicked her want to alert multiple departments of an emergency.

"Bring him over here and put him on this gurney." She waved him to follow as they passed from the main entrance and waiting area, through some swing doors which she held open. The gurney came into view just as five different healers came bursting into the emergency area. Severus placed him on the bed before he turned to brief the team of healers.

"This was done by muggles. I put stasis charms and stabilized his internal bleeding but he.." Severus stopped and abruptly felt a wave of nausea. A fellow healer conjured a bucket and shoved it into his hands just as he felt the need to puke. He breathed heavily and looked up from his bucket. They all looked shocked. They all knew Severus and had never seen him this shaken. With blood-shot and wet shimmering eyes, he looked up from his bucket and was able to croak out. "He's Harry Potter." They all froze in horror before doubling down on their efforts to save the boy slowly fading before their eyes.

Diagnostics and charms were flying from multiple wands for different areas of the young boys body. Out of the five that had been called to the situation, one of them happened to be the Department Head for emergency healing. They oversaw all the other departments for healing with everything else branching out from them. So they quickly established the order of importance and what to stabilize and work on. They determined his internal bleeding was the first order of business. With one healer working on his bleeding brain and another on his bleeding organs they were able to make steady progress. Meanwhile another healer put charms on areas with broken bones to keep them stable. They were working and quickly conversing with each other as issues popped up in discovery.

While they worked on the boy, Severus turned to the front desk attendant. "Listen to me very clearly. You need to keep people from discovering this boy is here for as long as possible. Next, you need to call the Director down here. They need to be briefed and then they need to contact Amelia Bones IMMEDIATELY. This was caused by his muggle relatives. We need to move fast on this." Severus looked around, lowered his voice before continuing on. "I'm concerned this could get covered up. So we need to do everything by the book and get the law involved from the start. I need to go back to his home and find out more of what happened. I left the Aunt stupefied and have no intention of letting them run away before the Aurors can make their arrests. Do you understand?" He looked the woman in the eyes while stating the last sentence. She shook her head emphatically and quickly scurried away to go grab the Director of the hospital.

Severus took one last look at the boy, before hardening his eyes and resolve. He swiftly turned around and exited the building. He had a weed to step on.

Amelia Bones was going to have a good day she had decided when she woke up. She'd had a really shitty week so far and was determined that today at least would be a good day. She silently sipped her coffee as she read her newspapers. Susan was overseas visiting their branch family one last time before she started her Hogwarts years. The chances to go overseas were much harder once you started school. Not un-doable but there was always so much to do and extended trips were rare. She would be coming back this week in a couple of days anyway to do her school shopping.

The sound the clock dinging jolted her out of her thoughts and was her signal to head to work. Yes, today was going to be the best day, she determined.

Oh, how she was so so wrong.
