David rechecked the computer and Professor Bergman did calculations himself, they all came to the same conclusion; the moon was now in a permanent orbit the same as the one it had on earth.
"Victor how is this possible?" John Koenig asked.
"I don't know john, somehow our calculations must've been off that we wound up in a full orbit around this planet." Said the professor.
John couldn't argue back, he knew that if he asked him how their calculations could be off he'd just get nothing.
"Well I guess since we are stuck here, the first thing we should do is look at this planet, it looks habitable. Almost like Earth." John replied.
John reached for his comlink, "Carter I want you to prepare an Eagle for lift off, I want to see if this planet could be habitable for us."
"Okay Commander." said Carter on the other end as he cut off.
Minutes later a meeting was held at the command centre.
"Alright, as you know judging by our current speed and orbital angle, the moon is in a permanent orbit with this planet. Now we believe this planet is capable of sustaining life and we are going to be sending a recognisance party to the surface in preparation for Operation Exodus." The Commander said. "This Party will consist of Alan Carter, Dr Helena Russell, Sandra Benes, Bob Mathlas, Nick Tie, and Myself."
Victor you will stay here and monitor our findings with David. We will leave at approximately 3:00pm Lunar Time. If we are successful, I can declare that this will be our new home, Terra-Alpha."
At around 3:00pm Lunar time, they set off towards the planet.
"Carter have the Eagle's terrain scanners scanning the planet." Said John
"Okay commander. Just to inform you Commander, we will be touching down on the planet at it's night time." Alan said over the intercom.
"Okay Carter thanks." John said.
(As the approached the darkside, they noticed something strange.)
"Look at that!" Sandra pointed out the window.
"It looks like lights on the ground." Said Helena.
"There must be a Civilisation." Said Nick.
John turned on the intercom, "Alan land somewhere away from the lights, we don't want to startle the inhabitants."
"Understood Commander." Said carter as the Eagle began to enter the atmosphere.
Meanwhile in a town below, a Pizza Delivery person was heading back to his shop.
"Uh another delivery gone not as expected, at least I didn't get involved in some squabble or attacked by some crazy red haired man." He said to himself.
Just then the Eagle flew past him over his head.
"What the heck was that, that didn't look like a dragon." He said looking at the craft as it landed in a nearby quiet space.
"I'm not going to get involved in this, I'm already on minimum wage. I knew I should've become a professional gamer like my brother." He said as he walked away.
Back on the ship, everyone was getting ready to disembark.
"Okay according to the Eagle's instruments, the atmosphere is breathable and safe." John said to the crew. "Okay Alan, open the door."
(The eagle's door opened.)
John took the first step and breathed in the fresh air.
"Ah, it is good to be able to breath fresh air in a while." John said, "Right lets set up camp, we'll explore the rest of the planet in the morning. We've got all the time this planet has to offer."
Everyone unloaded all of the scientific equipment. Barbara and Sandra set up the equipment and began running tests.
"According to this, this planet is almost a complete duplicated to earth but different. There seems to be small pulses of energy around but we'd need to do a complete survey to figure it out. Might just be a power station or something." Sandra said.
"Well that wouldn't make much sense, but the look of that civilisation we just passed over it looked like something from Tudor times." Said Bob.
"Perhaps it's one of those hybrid civilisations where it appears old but functions like modern society." Said Nick.
"Well whatever it was we'll find out in the morning, till then we'll get some shut eye so we can get a good start in the morning." Said Commander Koenig.
He then went into the eagle and turned on the VideoCom.
"This is Eagle one to Moonbase alpha, Victor do you copy?"
"I can hear you John" Replied Victor's voice as his face appeared on the video screen.
"Victor as far as we can tell, this is an almost exact duplicate of earth during what seams to be Tudor times but what we cannot understand is that there are small pulses of energy around as if there is electricity. We're going to have a look round in the morning, until then we are setting up camp." John said.
"Okay john, we'll be monitoring the planet as we complete our first orbit, I'll even send you some aerial shots from alpha." Victor said to John.
"okay Victor, good night." Said the Commander as he turned off the Screen.
As the group settled down for the night, unbeknownst to them was a group of travellers who decided to set up camp nearby.
"Okay we should set up camp here, what ever that noise was as stopped. We should be safe." Said the group's leader who had Neon Blue hair.
"I agree Trace, whatever that was we should be safe for the night." Said one of the travellers, who had large ears and was covered in beige coloured hair all around him.
"Well I guess this is good night then." Said the Orange and Black Striped girl with brown hai, who was also part of the group.
"Wait a minute, shouldn't somebody be on the lookout in case any anyone comes after us in the night" Said a Red hair fellow, who's hair was literally Bright Post Box Red.
That's a good point you make Red. You can take the first night watch" said one of the travellers who only wore a loincloth and had a wolf like appearance.
"What, why?" said Red. "Because you suggested it first. Good night." Said the wolf in loincloth as he went back into his tent; everyone did the same except for a young girl with long silver hair who went up to Red.
"Don't worry, I'll stay up with you to keep company." She said.
"Thanks Raine, you don't have to." Red said to her "But thanks."
Red held his guard sitting on a convenient stump while Raine Gazed up at the Stars.
"I don't know why, but there's something odd about this night." Said Raine, to which Red replied "Hmm yeah, I wasn't expecting full moon until next week."
