Azula couldn't stop her eyes from widening slightly in shock.

She shouldn't be so surprised by the results of the pregnancy test in her hand. She and Aang were being as irresponsible as possible. Binge drinking and having a one-night stand, well a few nights of great sex, with a guy who spoke sweet words to her during a moment of weakness. She really was pathetic.

Yet, it still didn't seem to be real.

A baby?

What would she tell her father, he would kill her when he finds out about the child let alone who the father of her child is. Someone who didn't come from her world.

How would she tell Aang?

She already knew he didn't want anything to do with her, but would he want to be involved in the kids life?

What about her education and future?

If she went through with this pregnancy, she could forget about her dream of attending Culinary school.

Azula was angry that she was thinking the thoughts as though she had come to a decision. She didn't even know if the wanted to keep the child. There were more cons than pros in this situation, she felt at a loss.

She tossed the plastic stick of doom into her bathroom trash, washed her hands, and made her way back to bed.

Maybe she could sleep all her problems away today?

It feels like thirty minutes when she awoke, groggy and irritated. Someone was pounding loudly on the front door while simultaneously ringing the doorbell in such a distinctive annoying manner she already knew who it was before she trudged out of bed to answer.

She glared at Ty Lee, who only gave her a syrupy sweet smile in return. They stared at each other for a moment before Azula sighed and opened the door further for her to enter the house.

"Where is Mai?" Azula inquired as she led them both up to her room. She didn't care but she was curious as to why her gloomy friend didn't come to check on her as well.

"Oh! Mai is still at school, she said there was something she had to do. I'm pretty sure she means to deal with the rumor of Zuko's peaked interest in Katara. She said she will stop by later though."

Azula hummed in acknowledgement before walking into her bedroom and immediately laying down on her bed. She felt so exhausted these days.

She heard Ty Lee shut the door and shuffle over to the other side of the bed.

Ty lee kicked off her shoes before lying next to Azula. Azula opened her eyes to see Ty lee's grey ones staring at her with concern.

"What's going on Azula? You have seemed off for a while now. Are you not well?"

Ty Lee reached to feel Azula's forehead only to have Azula slap it away.

"I'm fine!" Azula snapped. Did she really seem different from other points of view?

She frowned and Ty Lee stuck her tongue out teasingly.

She did not think she was acting any differently on the outside. She was always good at keeping up a façade so people wouldn't know what she was thinking.

"Ty Lee? Can I trust you enough to tell you something no one else knows about me?" She braced her head on her arm and Ty lee did the same.

"Of course, Azula" Ty Lee tilted her head curiously.

"I'm pregnant and I honestly have no idea what I am going to do," she said in a glum, monotone voice that could rival Mai.

Ty Lee's jaw dropped in shock for a moment before she managed to compose herself. She smiled brightly and cheerily congratulated her friend.

"I'm not so sure that this is a happy occasion," Azula stated, maneuvering herself to lay flat on her back.

"Well, why not?" Ty Lee stood up from the bed and maneuvered herself to the most spacious part of Azula's room to handstand.

Azula sighed in annoyance at Ty Lee's actions.

"Well for starters, I'm only seventeen. I also have not told the father of the situation. I have yet to speak with my father about this. To finish, I do not know if I even want to keep this child.

"Seventeen is not a bad age to have a child. It only seems bad because society deems it to be, and your father will kill you. Other than that, you will be an amazing mom Azula. I have no doubts about that. Your father, he would just have to get over it. It happened already and if you decide to keep the baby the only thing he can really do to you is kick you out. If that happens you could always bunk with me!" Ty lee flipped and elegantly landed on her feet.

"You wouldn't be saying that if you knew who the father of the child is," Azula muttered.

She walked over to Azula and pulled her up into a hug.

"You're being silly Azula! I could care less about who the father is. What matters is your well-being. But the father…will you tell him about the baby? Because he does need to know that he will have a child out in the world in less than nine months."

" I won't! No one must even know I am pregnant. I could just get an abortion and end this entire fiasco.

As much as she wanted to deny it that was all a lie. She wasn't sure if she wanted to keep the baby, but she knew the father of the baby would never want her to get rid of it like that. She was almost positive that his free-spirited self would be scared out of his mind about the impending responsibility they would share.

Ty lee pulled back slightly from the hug to gaze at Azula with a mix of curiosity and disbelief.

"Azula? Are you-? Are you in love with the baby's father?"

This question left Azula flustered.

"W-what?! Ty-Lee, that is the most absurd thing that you have said to me ever, I think."

Azula wasn't in love with Aang. It just wouldn't be ideal of her. Besides she didn't want to get further involved with someone who couldn't make up his mind over some peasant girl. But Azula supposed she was already beyond involved with him since she is now carrying his child.

Ty-lee scanned her face as though she were looking for something before sighing and pulling the other girl back into her embrace.

"If you do decide to keep the baby, I know you will be a wonderful mom because you are overprotective and caring of the people and things you love. I know you put up with that façade of being this mean and unemotional girl for the world to see, but you are capable of caring and loving someone other than yourself. This baby will love you back. Just like me, Mai, and even Zuko love you."

Ty Lee hugged her tighter as though she would never let go.

Azula could feel the stupid tears running down her face again. Seriously, these Hormones were beginning to irritate her.

The moment between the two girls was interrupted by Ty Lees phone ringing.

Azula took a calming breath and wiped her face.

She was embarrassed at her emotional display but felt a little more confident after her pep talk with Ty Lee.

Though she was scared shitless about having to bring another person into the world, her world, she knew that she could handle it.

"Who is the father anyway?" Ty Lee asked ignoring her ringing cell phone.

Azula glared at her playfully.

"I swear to Agni if you don't stop harassing me and answer your phone. I am sure that it is Jet trying to reach you giving the phone hasn't stopped ringing ," Azula smirked when Ty Lee childishly stuck out her tongue but didn't hesitate to answer her phone before the next ring.
