Third Person's Point of View
The battle continued, with the skinks fell one after another quickly, but still they did not seem to be at a disadvantage. At first glance Aneth controlled the battle, her arms were thrown out swinging her weapon so fast to slice and rip through the beasts torso.
But after a few brief moments she gasped in pain as the claws of one of the beasts reached her back, causing blood to spurt out and quickly cover the lacerations on her white skin.
Percy couldn't stand there and just watch.
He had to do something. All the sea green eyed boy had to do was enter the fight. But doing so and joining in a hasty and direct manner would only cause him to be involved in the typhoon of death, the skinks would attack him just like Aneth, but it was the only way to help her since at this rate they would all end up being devoured.
"Very well Eli..." Percy said, but it was more to himself than to the aforementioned, "...if your sister kills me, I promise that I will return as a damn ghost to torment you for the rest of your life."
Percy resigned himself again before flexing his legs preparing to run if necessary, he took a deep breath and looked at the skinks.
"HEY IDIOTS!" Percy took the edge of the sword with his hand, squeezing it tightly, resulting in a cut that ran through his entire hand. "Have you already forgotten about me?".
Percy raised his hand with the blood dripping from it, hoping that the smell of more blood would distract the beasts somewhat.
But something strange happened, the world stopped...
A black cloud completely enveloped him with piercing screams coming from it and he couldn't move an inch. Suddenly before Percy's eyes a very strange figure of a woman appeared in front of him... she was wearing a white dress with a veil that hid her face. She was in front of him placing her hand on Percy's head and caressing him gently.
"If you knew how valuable and special your blood was, you wouldn't do that, young half-blood" the strange woman said as if she were lecturing a small child. "You can't waste it in a place like this."
Then the woman's hand slid over his cheek caressing it as if she were fond of him for a moment, but then she reached his neck and squeezed it tightly, but strangely her hand felt soft.
Terror welled up inside him, he couldn't breathe and the next moment, a sharp pain shot through all his nerves.
"It's not yet time to die, boy..."
Percy stopped being himself. From the top of his head to the tips of his toes, he had a horrible, unbearable feeling that something was very wrong. His brain seethed in a storm of emotions and his consciousness faded in and out.
However, the soft touch carried warmth which was totally strange.
When he was finally able to move, the cloud had disappeared next to the woman without leaving any trace.
"What?..." Percy said as he could move
His vision was blurred as if he had received a severe blow to the head. But none of the other pain had returned with him, his throat was intact.
The moment Percy returned to reality, a great change occurred within the battle. Aneth and the skinks were pouring all their attention into Percy. As if now he was enemy number one, even Percy thought he had a sign on his back that said 'Eat me, free half-blood'
Aneth and the beasts howled in unison and then rushed towards his throat instantly.
!AAAHHHH!" Percy also screamed but scared, the sound had already filled the cavern completely.
Percy managed to evade the skinks' sharp claws, avoiding the attack for just a fraction of a second.
One beast after another lunged at Percy, but he avoided the attack, moving left, right, crouching, rolling and jumping to avoid the attacks that not even Percy himself could figure out how he managed to avoid them and the iron ball also came hitting him, narrowly avoiding it.
The long, red-hot chains burned any skink nearby, even killing some instantly. With every move Percy made, Aneth was forced to change the direction of the attack, creating a whirlwind that absorbed everyone around her and shattering their bones just by coming into contact with the whirlwind of death
"It looks like the big fight has already started," Percy commented, his tone of voice hinting at a peculiar humor... sarcastic or twisted.
Time after time, the skinks were hit by the iron ball and chains engulfed in flames, turning the entire cave floor into skink paste. Without paying much attention to the death of their comrades, five skinks joined together to attack Aneth relentlessly, with the aim of inflicting greater wounds and, if possible, devouring her as an appetizer. But the creatures' poor intelligence was not enough to perform such a feat, because Aneth's hand struck them, sending them far into the air, and once they were motionless on the ground, they became easy prey for the descending iron ball.
Percy watched intently for fleeting moments at the spectacle of death as he continued to move and dodge the attacks of Aneth and the skinks.
One of them, hidden among the rocks, jumped towards Percy and with just a slight jump to his side he barely evaded the beast's sharp fangs, only to end up heading straight towards Aneth.
When Aneth noticed Percy moving towards her, she instantly attacked him to intercept him. Realizing this, Percy stopped abruptly and to escape the blow of the iron ball he jumped back and ducked to avoid the whip of the chain that followed the iron ball, as it passed over Percy's head, but when trying to kill him the iron ball ended up crashing into the skinks
Percy could hear the mangled bodies collapsing right behind him as he crawled as fast as he could along the ground, basically cockroach-style to immediately escape by taking cover in the rubble, blood, and remains of the beasts' bodies.
Aneth had reshaped a battlefield before their eyes, skink parts covered the entire floor, claws, heads, wings and teeth, scattered throughout the area of the dungeon where they were, creating pools of fresh blood. The remains of the corpses of the beasts prevented him from moving forward, not to mention that more arrived every moment.
Percy kept his distance as he tried to catch his breath.
"That girl was really going to murder me!" he thought, attentive to the girl's next attack "But I was finally able to get closer."
At that moment, things were developing in Percy's favor. The situation seemed to be improving, at least he was buying a little time and the number of skinks was no longer the same as before.
But when he looked up at the rest of the creatures, a shiver ran down his spine after noticing the beasts everywhere in the dungeon, some hidden waiting for the right moment to attack their preys, others sniffing around in search of their prey and the last ones launching into battle against Aneth and Eli, making the first of the two concentrate on them. While the skinks obeyed their instincts in response to the stench caused by the blood.
"This could work" Percy saw an opportunity for victory or at least that was what he thought at that moment, so he got up from the ground to act.
"Uhh?!" but then Percy uttered as he stopped, "What's wrong with me?"
Percy suddenly felt dizzy and knelt down heavily, as if he were carrying a bag full of stones or his legs were stuck in the mud. Suddenly, he was assaulted by a feeling of lethargy as a sharp pain ran through his entire body, from the tips of his feet to the longest, finest hair that grew from his head.
"This is... Why now being so close?!" Percy said, "Where?"
Percy instinctively looked down at his own body and could make out the reason...
"What?, When? How?!" Percy wondered before reprimanding themselves "Agni, how did I not notice?!"
Percy's left leg had several spikes stuck in its side, he wasted no time, quickly grabbed them and pulled them out. But it was too late, the paralyzing poison was already beginning to take effect...
Percy looked up to try to see if the beasts were close enough to devour him. Wondering which of all the damned beasts was the one that managed to stick the thorns into him and why he couldn't realize it... but impossible to distinguish a single beast among so many.
The skink's venom caused him to lose his balance and fall to the ground.
If the skinks bit Percy to death it was only a matter of time until they did the same to Eli or Aneth.
"AAAAHHHH!"
A great scream echoed in the dungeon with enough force to tear the air, it was Aneth who swung her iron ball with all her strength before impacting it in a single instant, with an incredible and great explosive force.
She had destroyed the ranks of the beasts to kill those that were close to her and Percy, who rolled on the ground from the force of the explosion and like some people his body reacted with the adrenaline of being too close to an explosion and surviving, which allowed him to fight against the poison, so with all the pain in the world he took his sword and made a vertical cut in his leg.
"If this doesn't work, nothing will," Percy said into the air while with his hands he tried to expel as much of the mixed blood and poison that accumulated in him, even if due to the amount of thorns it wouldn't be of much help, at best the change would be minimal, but it was better than nothing
But a few moments later Percy was breathing easier, the lethargy had quickly subsided and he had somehow managed to free himself from the greater effects of the poison, yet he was still in pain.
"In a way it worked," the black-haired teenager thought out loud, then Percy watched the girl in the middle of the fight while he realized something.
Percy wasn't sure if she did it on purpose or unintentionally, if perhaps she wasn't lucid or in a rational and pragmatic state, although from the savage fury he saw in her, it didn't seem to be focused at all, so it was probably more by accident that she saved him, but Aneth had saved him multiple times from being eaten by those beasts. Although she had also been protecting her sister.
"I guess I'm obligated to save you in return, but how the hell do I make you listen to me without you wanting to kill me?" Percy thought, but to achieve his goal Percy needed to make Aneth regain her sanity from her unconditional homicidal state
Suddenly Percy's brain gave him a great... or stupid idea.
"A strong blow to the head and you will return to normal" he thought his idea out loud.
"Are you sure about that?" said Eli, who had managed to approach him, while the remaining skinks were focused on Aneth, trying to devour her, because she had become the biggest threat in recent moments.
"Well..." Percy said after being surprised that Eli approached him and realizing that she had also fought several of the creatures while her sister covered her, "I'm not sure , but it's the best idea I have, I mean, old Jeong once talked some sense into Haru after beating him up"
"Is that your best reference?" Eli responded incredulously.
"My ears are open to all possible ideas. Do you have any?"
"Eh..."
"Hmm?... Which?" Percy said as he kept an eye out for any of the beasts that might attack them.
"I don't have any," Eli replied
"Very well, then the blow to the head will be"
"Damn it... I want to believe you but..." She said before looking at her sister, engulfed in blind fury and bloodlust even though more beasts continued to appear and some managed to hurt her little by little, while they overwhelmed her more and more
Seeing her like that broke her heart, Eli wanted her sister to stop fighting so she would tend to her wounds or escape.
"Okey!" Eli said, "What do you need?"
"I need to give her a good blow on the head without the skinks, the chains or that iron ball being able to touch me"
"A distraction..."
"Exactly!" Percy said
"I think I can help you with that," Eli replied, "you give me the sign and I'll help you"
"All right!"
Percy took only 2 seconds before he started running towards the girl to help and rescue her, he was running so fast that he attracted the attention of several beasts and the skinks couldn't ignore him so they ran towards him. Using his sword Percy cut off the head of the first skink, two others jumped, each to one side of him, quickly Percy made a jump causing the skinks to collide with each other and without waiting with a single attack he finished them both.
Only to the surprise of the green-eyed teenager, the iron ball fell to his side, just centimeters away from him.
"That was too close! " Percy exclaimed before realizing that Aneth hadn't been looking in his direction.
Percy ran towards her again to manage to sneak into her defense at the same time as a pair of skinks in front of her, however, Aneth used her chains engulfed in flames to incinerate everyone present in front of her eyes before pulling the iron ball destroying the bodies of some beasts close to her on one of her sides and then turning again and seeing Percy, seeing him again the moment she turned around.
"NOW!" He shouted urgently since he still had several steps left to reach her.
A gust of wind hit the place, raising the bodies of the destroyed beasts that were all over the ground, the loose stones of the dungeon and a large amount of dirt and dust making it impossible for everyone to see.
PAM!
The sound of the iron ball embedding into the ground filled the entire place. Her iron ball had not hit the target, although Aneth was not in her five senses, she was able to distinguish the sound that her weapon makes when it kills and when it does not, she instinctively began to look for Percy, looking in all directions looking for him and more beasts, but he just didn't appear thanks to the cloud of dust.
In one motion Percy appeared, with a precise and swift movement, he cut through the great cloud of dust with the edge of his sword. The dust dispersed into the air, revealing his opponent and from one moment to the next he was in front of Aneth's head.
Just a few seconds later Percy appeared, taking advantage of the dust still dispersed in the air to approach her, revealing himself right in front of Aneth, with his sword ready to attack her. Percy was aiming for Aneth's forehead, he was so close that she couldn't help but respond in time to the sudden attack, nor avoid the edge of the sword.
But in a surprising gesture, Percy swung his sword and struck Aneth in the head with the hilt, hard enough to knock her unconscious, but not enough to kill her or threaten her life.
However, the sound that resulted from such a collision seemed like two pieces of steel colliding together. Aneth fell to the ground limply, while Percy stood there, breathing deeply. He carefully put away his sword and knelt next to the girl. He looked at Eli who was sighing in relief for having stopped her sister.
The atmosphere in the dungeon was damp and dark now that the fire of Aneth's chains had been extinguished, the floor was littered with the lifeless bodies of countless young skinks, the blood of these beasts even reached the stone walls of the entire underground chamber of the dungeon. But there were no more beasts in sight... did they just leave?
Percy and Eli were breathing hard due to tension and physical effort. The unconscious young warrior was leaned against the wall with her hands tied at Percy's request which Eli couldn't refuse.
"Percy, do you think Aneth will be okay?" Eli asked with concern in her voice, looking towards where Percy had gently placed the aforementioned, who was lying unconscious after the blow she had received to the head.
Percy turned his head to look at Eli, his expression serious but compassionate.
"I think so... it doesn't look like I hit her hard enough to cause serious damage, but she'll need to rest and recover" Percy replied.
She nodded her head showing her visibly relieved face, before glaring at him after carefully thinking about the words he said.
But the glare didn't last. "Thank you for stopping her, Percy. Aneth... She's not one to listen first and fight later and she's tried so hard to support our father."
Percy put a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"I understand, you don't have to explain it to me and you know, no hard feelings.
"Thank you... Percy..."

After making sure that Aneth was okay, Eli paced around the vicinity of where they were in the cavern with a torch, observing the remains of the defeated monsters with a mixture of relief and caution. The inert bodies lay scattered all over the floor, looking carefully it was possible to observe some clean cuts that corresponded to Percy's sword and others with burn marks and blunt blows, reminders of Aneth's fierce anger during the battle.
"Percy," she began, "it's not safe to stay here much longer, who knows how many more might come, the battle made a lot of noise and all this blood will attract more monsters.
Percy nodded calmly, aware of the danger of staying in such an exposed place. Not to mention that the beasts that seemed to have left, might return.
"You're right Eli, we must keep moving and the sooner we get out of this damn place, the better.
But now that everything was over Percy finally observed Eli's sister, who was on the ground unconscious and defenseless to any attack "Now you don't look so dangerous" were the words that crossed Percy's mind, when he paid attention to Aneth he realized that she was a very attractive young woman, with a great figure.
"And to think that a hottie like you is capable of causing a massacre" Percy said with a fairly low tone, preventing Eli from hearing since he was sure he would hit him hard for that comment.
Aneth was a young woman with tanned skin and brown eyes like her hair, the girl was wearing a jacket like Jackie's in black, the same color as her pants. except for her green undershirt and her boots of the same color. Her features may not be as exotic as Eli's, like her red hair, but both girls, like his, had features that were not like those of the inhabitants of the four nations. Like the shape of the jaw, the eyes or the rest of the shape of the face...
Percy also noticed that the girl had protective gloves on both hands which helped her to move in the use of her murder weapons. Like Eli, the girl was wearing a pair of earrings in the shape of an oil lantern.
"Same tastes?" "The same tastes?" Percy wondered out loud.
Carefully, Percy lifted Aneth into his arms once more, making sure she was comfortable before he began to walk through the intricate underground passages. Eli walked beside them, torch held high to light their way as they went deeper into the darkness of the dungeon trying to find a way out.
The echo of their footsteps echoed through the stone walls, while the cool, humid air of the cave enveloped them. He and Eli kept their gazes alert, ready for any sign of danger that might arise in the dark recesses that stretched out before them.
Percy was concentrating on moving forward with determination, looking for any signs that might come out when he suddenly remembered the most important thing and the reason why he was there.
"Shit," Percy said, "I've forgotten. What am I going to do?"
"What are you talking about?" Eli exclaimed, confused by Percy's sudden words.
"The parchment! Without that I will not be able to advance to the next phase. How was I able to forget it?"
"...I guess... with skinks chasing you forget some things..." Eli said after processing Percy's words and giving him an incredulous look at the boy's concerns.
"...I suppose it's true"
They both laughed briefly at how absurd the conversation became after everything that happened, which helped to appease the hostile environment in which they found themselves...
—|—|—|—|—|—|—
After walking for a while in the intricate underground tunnels, Percy finally found a little corner somewhat quieter and safer. He gently placed Aneth on the floor, making sure she was as comfortable as possible before focusing on himself.
With expert hands and using what was left of his searching equipment, he began to clean the wound on his leg, where the skinks' spines could reach him, inflicting damage during battle. Using a small water bottle he carried with him, he rinsed the wound carefully to remove any traces of dirt or poison that might have remained. He felt the stabbing pain with every touch, but forced himself to keep his composure as he worked.
Eli watched silently, the torch casting shadows on the cave walls. Her gaze showed concern as he watched Percy clean his wound, but after a few moments, she couldn't hold back any longer and asked with a soft tone in her voice but firm at the same time.
"How are you?... Are you ok?" Eli asked, "How is your leg?"
Percy looked up, meeting Eli's worried gaze before slowly and slightly forcing a comforting smile.
"Better than I thought" Percy replied. "It seems like it was just a flesh wound, it worried me more than I should."
Eli walked toward him, setting the torch aside so she could get a better look at the wound.
"We should bandage that to prevent the wound from getting complicated," she suggested, worried about the possibility of infection
Percy nodded and took out a pair of clean bandages from his kit. Together, they worked on carefully wrapping Percy's leg, making sure the wound was as clean and protected as possible. The contact with Eli's hands as she bandaged his leg sent a comforting feeling through Percy, reminding him that he was not alone in this perilous journey called a test
"You were great back there, your sister would have killed me if it wasn't for you" He said as she almost finished bandaging his leg.
"It's nothing," Eli replied "you saved my sister and... I really thank you, if those skinks had continued to attack right now she wouldn't be with us."
"But it was strange that they left and didn't continue attacking them" he thought
Once finished, Percy moved the bandaged leg carefully, testing his mobility.
"Is it too tight?"
"No," Percy replied, "It's perfect"
Percy was relieved to find that he could move his leg more easily than he expected, albeit with some pain. He looked at Eli with gratitude in his tired eyes.
"Thank you, Eli. Now, I think we could move on."
Eli nodded, picking up the torch and preparing to continue exploring the underground labyrinth in search of the exit.
"Percy, before I forget, I've got something to give you
"Me?" Percy asked
"Is there anyone else here?" Eli replied sarcastically
As he stretched out his arms, Percy could see that Eli was holding something in her hand, and she held out a carefully preserved scroll to him despite all the inconveniences that had arisen so far.
"I want to give you this as a token of my appreciation for saving my sister" Eli said. "It's the least I can do after what you did for us... Thanks to you... Aneth has... another chance"
"Eli..." Percy said with an big smile on his face, "this is incredible, I thought I had lost my chance to continue in the competition.
"A while ago when you started running like crazy towards the skinks, I was lucky enough to find it, is the one you need, right?"
"Don't tell me that," Percy said, "the reason you came back was to give me the scroll"
"No," Eli replied, "I really went back because I couldn't leave you alone, that was just a stroke of luck I guess."
"So a stroke of luck... It seems that he is finally on our side for once in the day"
Eli smiled modestly, feeling relieved that she could do something for him and blushed a little at the big smile Percy showed as he held his ticket to the last stage of the competition in his hands.
Suddenly, a dull noise could barely resonate in the distance and a strange sensation filled Percy completely, causing every part of his body to prepare for whatever caused that sound, it was not easy to explain what it was. feeling, however, Percy knew that something was coming and it wasn't necessarily good news.
"Eli, did you hear that?" Jackson asked, worried without really knowing why he was.
"Listen to what?" Eli replied
A different noise emerged somewhere in the depths of the dark tunnels before being followed by a soft splash that seemed to be approaching quickly. Percy frowned and stared in one direction of the underground tunnels, alerting Eli who was instantly on guard upon noticing his reaction and the latest sounds.
"Percy... What's going on?" Eli said, "skinks again?"
The ground began to vibrate slightly under their feet, and then, water began to seep through the cracks in the walls, forming small puddles on the rocky floor.
Eli looked around, her heart beating rapidly as the water level began to slowly rise.
"I think the water is flooding the tunnels," Eli said worriedly.
"Really? How did you know? The sound of water running at our feet or the puddles and rivers forming around us?"
"Sarcasm doesn't help! We must get out of the tunnels or find a higher place before the water covers us completely," she exclaimed.
Percy nodded decisively, carrying Aneth who was still unconscious. The torch that Eli held illuminated the path, but more and more puddles of water appeared in their path, hindering their progress little by little.
The sounds of dripping water and distant murmuring intensified as they moved forward, the water now reaching their ankles and rising rapidly. Percy frantically searched for any sign of an exit, but the tunnels seemed to stretch endlessly into the oppressive darkness.
"¡Where are the other competitors?, The navy should already know what's going on in here!" Percy exclaimed, since the navy should react to this situation.
Suddenly, the water level reached their knees and continued to rise relentlessly. Eli tried to keep the torch high and dry, but desperation began to take hold as the water continued to rise mercilessly, but desperation began to take hold of them as the water continued to rise mercilessly.
"Percy, there's no way out!" Eli said, completely scared when she saw that they couldn't find a way to escape even though they tried to get out and get away from the water as quickly as they could. "What do we do?!"
Eli's tone was unmistakable, her voice cracked with anxiety as the water continued to rise, getting dangerously close to the height of her breasts, which was evidence of the terror she felt. The look of concern in Eli's eyes reflected the same anguish that Percy felt in that moment of desperation, but unlike her he could feel that he could continue running despite the water that flooded the place, so now he was dragging her at the same time as he was carrying Aneth to try to get out of the water
Percy looked around, frantically searching for any sign of an exit as he held the two, while the unconscious Aneth's calm face was a complete contrast to the urgency of the situation. The tunnels seemed to close more and more, offering no clear escape route.
"No exit!" Percy said in a distressed voice, struggling to remain calm as he looked for a solution so the three could escape "We're trapped!"
However, Eli looked at him determinedly, her gaze fixed on Percy with a mix of urgency and desperation.
"USE YOUR POWER!" Eli exclaimed "The only way to get out of here is with the power of your half-blood blood, Percy! It's our only hope!"
Percy frowned, confused by Eli's words and thinking that desperation was making her delirious.
"Power?! What power?! What do you mean by that?!" Percy asked while continuing to hold both girls to prevent them from drowning or being swept away by the water. "I already told you that I don't understand anything about those half-breeds."
Eli moved closer to him, grabbing him tightly and urgently by the front of his clothes.
"YOU HAVE TO TRY, PERCY! THERE ARE ALWAYS PROPHECIES ABOUT MESTIZOS, THEY ALWAYS HAVE POWER, WITHIN YOU THERE IS ENORMOUS POWER! USE IT AND GET US OUT OF HERE!" she exclaimed with desperation and screams, if they weren't already floating in the water, she would be shaking him
Percy looked at her in disbelief, but the desperate expression on Eli's face made him think about what he said and remember what happened at the gates of Azulon, Percy knew perfectly well that the aquatic mines exploded because of him, but he didn't even he knew how he did.
"Do you really think I can do something like that? " Percy asked quickly before noticing that they were getting dangerously close to the ceiling of the tunnel they were in and there were stalactites in some parts
"I believe it!" Eli said as she nodded firmly "This is our only chance to get out of here alive!"
Percy sighed deeply, feeling the weight on his shoulders, but not knowing what to do. He looked at Aneth, still unconscious in one of his arms, and then at Eli, as she held on to him and looked at him desperately.
"Fine!" she finally said closing his eyes, remembering and following the advice he had heard his father and Jeong give to Lu Ten and sometimes Zuko, it may not be of any use, but it was the best thing he had on what to do, so he continued to concentrate trying to feel the power that Eli was convinced dwells inside him
"Percy!" Eli said urgently as she stretched out a hand to keep them from bumping into one of the long stalactites above them
Percy ignored her as he continued to try to feel whatever it was inside him
"Percy!, Hurry up!"
The three of them were reaching the roof, air was escaping, although their heads were still out of the water and Aneth was the one who was most at risk and probably would have swallowed enough water by now if it weren't for her sister
But then a feeling of energy he had never experienced before passed through Percy.
He reached out and felt a stream of energy flow from within him to his fingers, forming a faint current around his outstretched hand.
"Come on, Percy!" Eli encouraged the urgency in her voice was mixed with joy "You have power in your blood, use it!"
Her words reached him and with renewed determination, Percy continued to focus on unleashing the power that had been hidden within him all this time. And somehow Percy was able to sense the whole tunnel around him, the whole underground labyrinth.
He connected with all the water that was inside the cavern, Percy distinguished every rock, every wall and stream inside the dungeon, using the water as an extension of his body capable of feeling everything next to him and suddenly, he found the exit.
"I found it!" Percy said, "Eli, hold your breath!"
Wasting no time, Eli held her breath and she tried to do the same with her sister, covering her mouth and nose.
The dungeon was now flooded, completely under water and at this moment a strong current was created, the bodies of Aneth, Percy and Eli were simply dragged, with an inexplicable care that prevented them from colliding with any rock.
The three traveled dozens of meters into the dungeon in just a couple of seconds as they were taken to the exit. Underwater, Eli was barely able to make out how the currents progressively carried them towards what appeared to be sunlight, Percy looked at the light with gratitude and amazement, he didn't even know if it would really work.
With the newfound exit before them, Percy found himself surprised by the new feeling of power flowing through his body. Inhaling deeply, he concentrated on the flow of energy that seemed to emanate from within him or his own blood as Eli said, with a simple move, he channeling his new power and the currents obeyed his wishes.
The water roared around them, but not as a threat, but as an ally in their escape, propelling them further forward with strength and determination. The current was dragging them upwards, sliding and the glare of the sun received them completely when they reached freedom from the outside world.
Once outside the dungeon, Eli approached him, his eyes shining with complete surprise.
"Percy... I never imagined... you were capable of something... like this"
"But of course... Wait a minute, you were the one who told me to do that"
"I know..." Eli replied "...but I didn't think it would work"
"Hey!"
When Aneth regained consciousness she was actually a little confused, she was no longer inside a dungeon, but her body was lying softly on the grass.
There was a pair of ropes that held her firmly so that they immobilized her and she heard a couple of familiar voices very close to her.
"So you didn't have faith in me?"
"Of course I had faith in you, but you understand that the situation was a gamble, we were about to die and then..."
"Damn fibber!"
"Who do you call a fibber, you damned half-blood?!"
"I still don't understand what the hell that means!"
"Don't you understand? Not even with what you just did?! You're really a brute!—
"Hey!"
"My head hurts a lot, what happened?"
"Percy gave you a good blow"
"You helped me do it"... wait, Aneth are you awake?"
"Sister!"
