"Why…is…it…so *gasp…hard to breathe?" Naruto asked as he and Shizune were on a mountain in the dragon realm. Tiamat was staring at the two as they tried to gasp for air.
"This is a part of your training. You see, we dragons can fly high enough to the ozone because of our strong lungs. You'll absorb the natural chakra in this realm and use it to strengthen your lungs. If you absorb too much, you will explode. I'm here to make sure that doesn't happen. Once you complete this exercise, dragon jutsu breath attacks and even your roar will be more destructive. Just calmly breathe in and out." Naruto and Shizune sat down and crossed their legs. "After you're done, we move on to the next exercise."
3 days later.
"Your next exercise, you'll have to climb the mountain. Just realized that it's not easy with the tough wind." Tiamat said, looking up the mountain. "There is a certain thing you have to learn to get up the mountain and I'm not going tell. This is the first part of your training." Tiamat said before climbing up the mountain with ease. 'Hope you two are watching because this is the only hint I'm giving you.'
Naruto and Shizune watch her climb the mountain with ease which confuses them. "Alright, that's weird." Naruto commented.
Shizune turned to him in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"She didn't walk up the wall or fly." Naruto said.
Shizune's eyes widened and looked up the mountain. "She's showing us what to do, there's a reason we have to climb it besides the wind." Shizune concluded.
Naruto walked to the mountain and positioned himself to climb the mountain and when he tried to climb, his eyes widened. "There's no grip."
"What do you mean?" Shizune asked.
"If we climb like this, we'll get blown off. There's no grip or holes to use." Naruto said. Shizune closed her eyes and looked at Tiamat climbing the mountain.
"That's it." Shizune said, turning to Naruto. "We have to strengthen our body like a dragon. Tiamat is digging into the mountain as she climbs while strengthening her body against the wind. Remember, she said we have to use the chakra around here. I think it might apply to everything."
"I see, so we just have to infuse a little nature chakra with our chakra and keep it in our body. Then use it to strengthen our body and make it as tough as scales." Naruto said.
"It's weird, I never heard of nature chakra being used like this from Jiraiya or Tsunade-sama." Shizune commented.
"Maybe dragons are unique." Naruto said as he started to take in a little chakra and tried to circulate it through his body. Shizune began to do the same and the two nodded at each other before approaching the mountain and tried to climb it.
At the top, Tiamat smiled as she kicked her legs back and forth. 'They figure out just by watching me that's different from completing the exercise. Still, quite impressive these two are.'
A week and a half later, Naruto and Shizune were panting at the top of the mountain. The two developed a little muscle from climbing the mountain and their lungs felt stronger. "We…made it." Naruto said.
"Yeah…I'm hungry…again." Shizune said.
"Congrats you two, are you ready for your next test or are you going to quit?' Tiamat asked.
"We're starving." Naruto whines.
"Don't worry, there's food after the end of this next test. You have to go through the Dragon Mist Forest." Tiamat said. "For this, you have to use your senses to get through the maze. Dragons have a great sense of smell and we can feel heat signatures and sense chakra. Once you get through, you two can relax." Tiamat informed the two before disappearing. The two looked at each other and proceeded through.
Four days later, Naruto and Shizune finally made it. They were laying on the exit of the maze, as Tiamat chuckled at them. "Congrats, I'll take you to the dragon village and you two can relax." The dragon leader said as she picked the two up and teleported them away. They appeared in a temple-like building.
"So what now, Tiamat-chan?" Naruto asked as he and Shizune laid on a mat.
"Oh, I can't just tell you. It wouldn't be a surprise." Tiamat said
"That means it's going to be torture." Shizune commented, making both her and Naruto groan.
"Don't you two want to be stronger." Tiamat teased.
"Yeah, we'll put in the effort." Naruto said.
"Good evening, Naruto-sama and Shizune-sama. My name is Aria, the wind dragon. you'll master the wind dragon fist. But the catch is you have to stay in the ring while the wind tries to push you off. Wind dragon fist is aggressive as fire but not as destructive but we up for it with our speed. Not only that, by adding the force of wind to your punches and kicks, you can cause your opponent to become unbalanced." Aria said as the three stood up on a mountain. "So, whose first?"
Shizune stepped forward and got in stance and the two began to fight.
'I wasn't expecting this.' Naruto and Shizune thought. They were underwater facing Levi, the water dragon. Naruto and Shizune were currently holding their breath. The pressure on their bodies was heavy.
"Hiya Shizune-sama, Naruto-sama. My name is Leviathan but call me Levi. The purpose is to learn how to move underwater while fighting and survive underwater for a long period of time." Levi said.
'These dragons are crazy.' both Shizune and Naruto thought as they began their training.
"You can't be serious!" Naruto yelled once they were in the next training area. He and Shizune knew this was coming but it was still hard to believe. They were in a Volcano, surrounded by lava.
"Nope, you two need to learn to survive heat like this. This will build up your resistance to fire and heat." Tiamat said. "I will be your teacher for this exercise, you will fight bare foot on this stage. Don't worry, I'll heal you from any burns. We'll continue to spar after this."
"So hot." Shizune said, sweating a lot.
"Don't complain, the first year isn't over and we will have much tougher training in the future." Tiamat said, making Naruto and Shizune's faces pale. The two were sure they were going to die.
Three years have passed since Naruto and Shizune left. Tsunade really missed them, she had Sakura as an assistant and in return, she trained her as an apprentice. Sakura really got on her nerves, only training to get the Uchiha back and asking where Naruto was. She was excited because they were returning soon. "Tsunade-sama!" Tsunade looked up and saw a anbu kneeling. "There's a huge flying creature heading towards the village."
Tsunade smirked. "They're back." She said before rushing building up to the roof of the tower. When she made it outside to the roof, she looked up and saw a creature circling around the village.
"Tsunade-sama." Kakashi and Sakura called out as they arrived next to her. "What is that?" Sakura asked.
"Calm down, you two." Tsunade ordered, smirking up at the creature. "That's a dragon."
"A dragon? Why do you look like you expected this?" Kakashi asked.
"Just watch." Tsunade said as she had her arms folded. The dragon disappeared and three people were diving down at them. Once they got close, they slowed down and floated to the tower and landed. Kakashi and Sakura's eyes widened when they saw Naruto and Shizune. Naruto was wearing a gold opened jacket with a black shirt under it that had a dragon circle in the middle and his jacket had black claw marks going down the sleeve and his Uzumaki logo on the back. He had black cargo pants with gold lines and his sword on his back.
Shizune wore a crimson sleeveless kimono with a mesh shirt underneath and fishnet stockings with black heel boots that goes halfway up her leg. Her crimson dagger was behind her torso in a 'X' formation.
"Naru-chan, your…" Tsunade stopped and fell to her knees alongside Kakashi and Sakura. They felt heavy pressure on their body and it was powerful.
"Naruto-sama, Shizune-sama. You two need to reign back your aura." Tiamat said. Naruto and Sakura blinked and pulled back the aura, making everyone else sigh in relief.
"Sorry, we were so used to being around dragons. We got used to using it." Naruto said in embarrassment. Shizune just chuckled. Naruto approached Tsunade and helped her to her feet and gave her a warm hug. "I missed you kaa-chan."
Tsunade started to tear up and hugged him tight. "I missed you too, Naru-chan." Tsunade said as she pulled away and approached Shizune. "I missed you too, Shizune." Tsunade said, hugging the female dragon sage.
Shizune returned it. "Missed you too, kaa-sama." Tsunade pulled back in surprise and looked at her with eyes widened.
"kaa-sama?" Tsunade repeated.
Shizune just chuckled and backed up, then grabbed Naruto's hand. "That's right, we're official. Actually, it's better than that." Shizune said, holding up her right hand. "We're engaged."
Tsunade squealed and hugged the two in a big hug. "Congratulations you two, how did this happen?"
"Well, we were kind of dancing around it before we left." Naruto said.
"And we did spend the last three years together. We started dating after the first three months and he proposed three months ago." Shizune said with a blush.
"I see, well we'll have a big wedding later." Tsunade said before turning to Tiamat. "So how was the training?"
"I can confidently say that these two are the strongest people in the village." Tiamat said. "They train very hard and I took it seriously. Thanks to their clones, the progression was faster."
"Excuse me ma'am, but you're surely mistaken. There's no way Naruto could be stronger than me or Tsunade-sama." Kakashi said. Soon he felt pressure on his body and he was on his knees.
"Excuse me but did you correct me, mortal? You do realize I'm the leader of the dragon clan and can wipe you out off the face of the earth. Us dragons take our summoners very seriously and make sure they're the best of the best in their prime. I trained them so I know what I'm saying, got that Hatake?" Tiamat said with her eyes glowing red with a slit.
"Yes…my…bad." Kakashi said.
Tiamat stopped and turned to Tsunade, who was shocked. "Sorry about that, I hate being interrupted and I already don't like those two and the perverted frog. Anyway, I should go. Summon me anytime Naruto-sama and Shizune-sama." Tiamat said before turning into a dragon and taking off.
"She was the dragon?" Sakura asked, watching the dragon leave.
"Yeah, anyway can we re-register?" Naruto asked.
"Sure, I want to see how strong you two are and I already have the opponents." Tsunade said as the group headed to the office. When they walked in, Shikamaru and Temari were there as well.
"Naruto?" Shikamaru said in disbelief. Temari's eyes widened as she looked Naruto up and down.
'This is that shrimp? He grew up nice.' Temari thought.
"I wasn't that short, Temari." Naruto said, shocking Temari.
"Did you read my mind?" Temari asked.
"No, I read your body language. It was easy to tell what you were thinking." Naruto said. Shizune giggled at the shocked expression of everyone.
"Well, how about you and I go out?" Temari asked with a smirk.
Naruto just shook his head. "Sorry, I have to decline. I'm engaged to Zune-chan." Naruto said, holding Shizune's hand. Shizune smiled warmly and laid her head on Naruto's shoulder.
"But why married her? Isn't she older…" Shikamaru started but felt heavy as Shizune's aura increased along with her ki.
"Nara-san? Is not nice to talk about a woman's age." Shizune said. Sakura, Tsunade and Temari nodded in agreement. Shikamaru just mumbled how troublesome women were. "And just to let you know, I'm 21 now thanks to the dragon spring and the ritual Tiamat did on me.
"What! Can I use it?" Tsunade asked.
"Sorry but only dragon sages can use it." Naruto said in a sympathetic tone. Tsunade cried animated tears. "Anyway, I set up your fight for tomorrow. Why don't you two head home and go say hey to your friends."
"Yeah, sounds fun. Let's go Zune-chan." Naruto said, grabbing her hand and the two left.
"Wait up, Naruto." Sakura called, chasing after her teammate. Tsunade just smiled happily and proceeded to do paperwork.
"Wow, Naruto. I can't believe how much taller you are than I am." Sakura said.
"Yeah, I hit a growth spurt. What have you done for the past three years?" Naruto asked. Sakura smiled in pride.
"I trained under Tsunade-sama, I got tired of being the weakest link." Sakura said with a frown. "I didn't want to hold anyone back."
"Well I'm proud of you." Naruto said, making Sakura smile.
"Thanks and now we can come up with a plan…"
"Naruto?!" The group turns to see Kiba and his team approaching him. "I can't believe it, it is you." Kiba said.
"Yeah, I just got back." Naruto replied and looked at Hinata and Shino. "Hinata, Shino. How are you?"
"We're fine, how was your training?" Hinata asked and was surprised when his and Shizune's faces went pale.
"We wanted to die so many times." Naruto said. Shizune just nodded in agreement.
"Yeah but I see you have a boyfriend." Shizune said, looking at her holding Shino's hand. Hinata blush and gave a small smile.
"Wait til you hear this, Naruto and Shizune-san are engaged." Sakura said. Hinata squealed while Kiba jaw dropped.
"Congratulations." Hinata said, while Shino nodded.
"Thanks but Shizune and I would like to head home. We're still kind of tired." Naruto said.
"Oh sorry, of course." Hinata said. The two nodded and disappeared in a shishun.
"Naruto wait…" Sakura tried to call but it was too late. "What about Sasuke-kun?" she mumbled.

"We'll see, won't we." Shizune responded.
"Maybe after I beat you, Naruto will open his eyes and see me as the better sensei." Jiraiya said.
Naruto scoffed at the statement. "Shizune-chan is my sensei. You two had your chance and failed." The male Dragon masters said, both him and Shizune releasing some ki, startling everyone around them.
"So, do any of you guys think Naruto and Shizune-san can beat Kakashi-sensei and Jiraiya-sensei?" Choji asked.
"No, Kakashi and Jiraiya are two of the village's strongest ninjas. Even if they are stronger, there's no way the two can win. Shizune is a medic and Naruto is just a chunin." Sakura said. Tsunade just smirked.
"Alright, this will be a two on two match between Kakashi and Jiraiya vs Shizune and Naruto. The march is over when I say it is or the other team surrenders. You may begin." Tsunade said, stepping back.
"Dragon Raging Earth." Shizune slammed her palm on the ground and released an exploding wave towards the two perverts. Another Kakashi jumped out of the ground and Jiraiya jumped away and landed a few feet away. "No hiding, Kakashi."
'She was able to tell I was under the ground and that was my clone next to Jiraiya-sama.' Kakashi thought as he stared at his opponent. 'Wait, where's Naruto?'
"Where is-" Jiraiya was about to ask until he blocked a kick from Naruto, causing him to slide back a bit and shaking his arms. 'It felt like my bones were going to break." Kakashi threw a punch at Naruto but to his shock, Naruto dodge without looking and spun. "Dragon Whip!" Naruto channeled some wind chakra in his leg and kicked Kakashi, blasted him back into the trees.
'Such power, it seems like he's trying to kill me. I guess he's taking the match seriously.' Kakashi thought and collected himself. Jiraiya charged a Rasengan and charged Naruto but to his surprise, Naruto substituted with Shizun, who had her own Rasengan and the two attacks collided creating a shockwave.
"I got something to show you." Shizune said before adding water to her Rasengan and pushed Jiraiya back before sending him flying next to Kakashi. Kakashi grabbed his hand, stopping him from going farther.
"I can't believe Naruto taught Shizune the Rasengan." Kakashi said.
"I know, both their attacks are in sync and they're physically strong." Jiraiya said, getting up and standing next to Kakashi. "Since this is a test of skills, let's test them in each art."
"I see, I assume you'll take on Shizune since you're stronger." Kakashi said.
"That's right and you can overwhelm Naruto and use your sharingan.I wouldn't underestimate him." Kakashi nodded and pulled up his headband.
"Looks like the plan is working, they are about to go after us in a one on one fight." Naruto told Shizune.
"The two don't know about our advance hearing." Shizune responded. "So should we allow them to test us as they please?" Shizune asked.
"Why not, then they won't have any excuses when they lose" Naruto said before spinning around and catching Kakashi's leg. Naruto tossed him away and chased after him. Kakashi slid on the ground and looked up to see Naruto right in front of smirking. "Hey Hatake-san, you want to see how good my taijutsu is?"
Kakashi narrowed his eyes. "So you heard, let's see then." Kakashi responded, getting on his feet. "Alright, first taijutsu. If you want to bring Sasuke back, you have to be on my level."
Naruto narrowed his eyes at the remark. 'Bring back Sasuke? I never said anything about the traitorous teammate. What makes him think I want to bring the teme back?' Naruto thought as he parried Kakashi's fist and retaliated with an arm thrust which the Jonin blocked and went for a quick jab but Naruto grabbed his wrist and attacked with his knee but Kakashi blocked with his knee.
Shizune looked at Naruto with a fond smile. 'Naruto-kun hasn't taken on any of his dragon stances. He's holding back and measuring Kakashi's skill.' Shizune thought before raising her arm and blocking a punch from the Toad Sannin. "You got to do better." Shizune said, looking at the sannin. "I guess we should begin." Shizune said before grabbing Jiraiya's arm and pulling Jiraiya towards her and going for a knee attack. Jiraiya used his free hand to grab her knee with a smug expression.
"You have to-ugh!" Jiraiya coughed in pain as Shizune palmed him in the chest. Shizune decided to do the fire dragon taijutsu style and started to attack Jiraiya aggressively. 'How is she so strong? I'm one of the Sannin.' Jiraiya asked as he tried to defend against Shizune's punch. Shizune's punches were fast as they were strong. When he blocked, she followed up quickly with another punch, which he dodged. But she landed a kick on his abdomen and sent him tumbling to the ground. Jiraiya looked up and saw Shizune doing a diving kick to him. He quickly jumped out of the way but the ground was destroyed from the impact. 'Is she trying to kill me?'
"I told you, I was going to surpass you." Shizune said as she went through four hand signs. "Wind Dragon bullet!" Shizune shot wind bombs at Jiraiya.
"Toad Flame Bomb!" Jiraiya countered. Jiraiya began to panic when he saw a clone of Shizune appear next to the original.
"Hydro Bullet." The clone mixed the wind and water jutsu making a bigger attack than Jiraiya expected.
"Earth style: Toad Wall." Jiraiya canceled the fire jutsu and created an earth wall to block Shizune's attack but it was destroyed.
"You have to do better, Jiraiya-san." Shizune said as she charged the sannin.
Kakashi was surprised. He was actually having a hard time with Naruto ever since he switched up his stance and for some strange reason, he couldn't read Naruto's movements. Naruto was doing light jabs and kicks, which he thought would be ineffective but his attacks released some pressure that felt like wind. "You seem stronger than me in taijutsu, Naruto. Although, taijutsu is not my specialty. Ninjutsu is." Kakashi said as he jumped back and went through multiple hand signs really fast. "Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!"
Naruto smirked and went through five hand signs. "Water style: Water Dragon Jutsu!" The two nin created a huge Dragon of water but to everyone's surprise.
"Why is Naruto's jutsu bigger than Kakashi-sensei's?" Sakura asked from the sideline.
"And not only that, he used less hand signs." Ino said in amazement.
Naruto's Dragon smashed into Kakashi's,destroying it. Kakashi went through some more hand signs and created an earth wall. Naruto smirked and went through some more hand signs. "Lightning Dragon Rage!" Naruto created a lightning shaped dragon that fused with his water dragon and charged the jonin.
"Oh shi-" Kakashi never got to finish as the jutsu collided with the earth wall.
"That's impressive, he's able to combine two affinities with less hand signs. My son has trained hard the past three years." Tsunade said in pride.
"And he grew handsome too." Ino said with a blush.
"He's taken, Ino." Shikamaru said. Ino pouted and turned to Shizune's fight and saw her shoot out a wave of flame towards the toad sannin. "It looks like Shizune-san is overwhelming Jiraiya."
"Yeah, I think I should call it." Tsunade said. "I've seen enough and I can't have them destroying the village. Besides, Jiraiya and Kakashi tooken multiple hits, while Naruto-kun and Shizune didn't have a scratch." Tsunade said, walking to the fighters.
'How did she get so strong?' Jiraiya asked himself. Shizune countered everything he did, from taijutsu, to ninjutsu. He could try genjutsu but she had better control and the worst part was that he couldn't land a hit on her.
"Jiraiya-sama." Jiraiya turned to Kakashi and gasped. Kakashi was bruised up, even worse than him. "I see you are having difficulties."
"I could say the same." Jiraiya said as Naruto appeared next to Shizune. "I could activate sage mode and win this."
"You won't, pervy-sage." Naruto said. "We know how to use sage mode and another technique unique to the dragon clan that conquers your sage mode. Plus I haven't used my golden mode."
'Golden mode? So he was holding back on me. Even with my Sharingan, he was beating me.' Kakashi thought.
"Alright, that's enough." Tsunade said as she approached the four. "I am giving Naruto and Shizune the win. You two seem to be struggling and the two counter all your moves." Tsunade said before turning to the dragon master. "Now how much were you two holding back?"
Naruto and Shizune looked back at each other and turned to their mother. "Well, compared to fighting Tiamat-sama. I was holding back around 60%" Naruto answered
"Same for me." Shizune answered.
"Interesting. There's going to be a jonin exam in Kumo in a few months. I was thinking about entering you." Tsunade said.
Naruto smirked at the challenge. "Bring it on."
Tsunade smiled at her son and approached him, giving him a hug. "It's good to have you back, son."
