Chapter 8: Athens:
Theseus' POV:
We finally arrived in Athens. "We wish to speak to the King," I said.
. . .
We met with my Father and his wife, Chalciope. Here's the thing, I decided not to reveal my true identity. I wanted to wait for the right time.
"So, why have you come all this way," asks my Father.
"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... that's a good question," says Phaedra, nervously, "why have we?"
"I just wanted to see Athens," I said, "what's that out the window?"
"It's a school that was set up," says my Father, "Prometheus Academy!"
"Interesting," I said.
. . .
"This is crazy," says Phaedra, "you came all this way to meet your father and you're not even going to tell him who you are?"
"I wanted to wait til the right time," I said, "besides, I don't think Chalciope likes me. Imagine if she were to find out I was his son!"
Chalciope's POV:
I heard everything. I better get rid of him.
Theseus' POV:
"Come on," says Phaedra, "evil stepmom? That's ridiculous!"
"Theseus," says Chalciope, "we have a problem!"
. . .
She told us about the Marathonian Bull, so Phaedra and I traveled to Marathon. "What are you going to do," asks Phaedra, "charge this thing?"
"You know I don't use those methods on animals," I said.
"Honestly, the people we've been meeting are more animal than the animals," says Phaedra.
"I hear something," I said. The bull came. We had to run. We then climbed a tree.
"Good thing bulls can't climb trees," says Phaedra.
"I'm gonna jump," I said.
"What," asks Phaedra.
I then jumped on the bull and started riding it, like with the sow. I then managed to kill the bull.
. . .
We took the bull back to Athens. "Turns out Theseus is a bull fighter," says Phaedra, "who knew?"
"Here's a drink, Theseus," says Chalciope.
I was about to take it, but my Father knocked it out of my hand. "What? Was there a bug," asks Phaedra.
"Those sandals... that sword... you... you are Theseu... my son!"
"Yes, Father," I said, "I wanted to wait til the right time! But... why did you knock that out of my hand?"
"Because... Chalciope... tried to poison you! Guards, cease the Queen!"
. . .
Chalciope was banished and my Father and I were reunited... but then we received a message! If we do not send our best assassins, King Minos' forces will attack Athens!
