Chapter 12: A Hero's Return:
Jason's POV:
"Orpheus, your lyre can sooth the dragon," I said.
"Those birds broke it," says Orpheus.
"There must be some way," says Meleager.
"W-well," says Medea, "I could drug the dragon..."
"I would never ask you to do that," I said.
"Jason's right," says Argus, "there has to be another way!"
"I could do it while it sleeps," says Medea, "I could place the drug in its water dish!"
"Alright," I said, "but I'll come with you!"
. . .
As the dragon sleeps, Medea and I snuck to its water dish. Medea then places the drug in it while I prepare to defend us. The dragon gets up and we ran and hid. The dragon then drinks its water.
"Jason, I have a request," says Medea.
"What," I asked.
"Once you get the fleece, won't you take me with you," asks Medea.
I looked at her. "Are you sure," I asked, "you'd be away from your parents!"
"I have seen the adventures you and your friends have been on," says Medea, "and I realized I want to be on those adventures! I want to see the world! So, please!"
I then decided. "If that is what you wish," I said.
The dragon then gets all woozy and falls down. We then snuck past it.
. . .
We then found the fleece. "That's the Golden Fleece," I asked.
"Yes," says Medea.
We then picked it up. "It's over," I said.
. . .
We then all set sail for Iolcus!
. . .
"Welcome to Iolcus," says Atalanta.
"It's beautiful," says Medea.
. . .
We were at the palace. "The Fleece," I said.
"Well done," says Pelias, but then the guards surrounded us, "unfortunately, I can't let you take the throne and your new friend there, I could give her to my son!"
"You double-crossing-" I began.
"Hey, he's your King," says Acastus.
Medea then used her magic to set us free.
"Cease them," says Pelias.
We then fought the guards. Acastus tries to attack, but Medea turns him to a toad.
Pelias attempts to get away, but I chased after him. "It's over," I said.
"You will not be king," says Pelias. He was about to attack, but I managed to kill him!
. . .
I now rule Iolcus as King, with Medea as my Queen! And our son, Medus! My crew and I have been celebrated for years! All will talk about Jason and the Argonauts!
The End
