When Eddie first got sick with a cold, which quickly developed into pneumonia, Buck and Tommy insisted on coming over to stay with the Diazes so they didn't have to make the trek to their place. "You don't have to do this," an insistent Eddie rasped, trying to give them yet another out.

"We want to, you idiot," Buck shot back fondly.

"Just deal with it," Tommy added.

"They're being nice, Dad," Chris reminded him, knowing it was more than that. If his father would just wake up already, that'd be nice, but it looked unlikely to happen any time soon. He really wished they'd all get with the program already (although it did seem like Tommy and Buck were aware and definitely on board).

Eddie let out another hacking cough that made everyone wince. "Fine," he finally conceded.

Buck hugged him and then headed to the kitchen to find something to make for dinner. If he didn't, they'd just give up and order out. "I got this!" he called out to them.

Tommy chuckled. "What do you have in your kitchen?" he asked Chris as he tried to herd an annoyed Eddie into his bedroom.

"I don't think he's going to find anything good in there," the laughing teenager admitted. He made his way into his own bedroom so he could play games with his friends again, now able to relax since he knew Tommy and Buck were taking care of his father - they'd make sure he'd get better and recover as soon as possible.

Eddie collapsed face first into the bed and immediately regretted it as he started coughing again. "Regretting that," he admitted once he finished hacking up a lung.

"Do you need me to get you some water? You're not due for meds for a while." Tommy couldn't stop fussing over him, something he was sure Eddie would call him out on once he didn't feel so shitty.

"Water's fine. Thanks, Tommy." Eddie turned around so he was on his back and glanced up at the ceiling, waiting for his friend to get back. Fortunately for him, Tommy returned with a bottle of water in less than five minutes. It was a little embarrassing Tommy had to open said bottle for him but Eddie didn't have enough energy to do much of anything right now.

Once he finished guzzling the drink, Eddie grabbed Tommy's shirt. "You need anything else?" Tommy questioned.

Eddie shook his head and pulled Tommy closer to him. "Get in here," he rasped, not giving one single shit about cuddling with one of the two men he was in love with.

Tommy pushed aside his reservations and got into the bed, laying down next to Eddie. "This good?"

Eddie nodded his head as Buck came into the room with some soup. "This is for you - Chris, Tommy, and I will just order something," Buck explained.

Tommy helped Eddie sit back up, grabbed a tray, and watched as his boyfriend plunked the bowl of soup down. "Just eat a little, for us," Tommy encouraged.

Trying not to upset the soup and spill it everywhere, Eddie gently patted the bed. "You get in here too, Buck."

Buck eyed them warily but joined the two of them in the bed. "This is nice. Not enough room for three grown ass men, though," he teased.

"Definitely need a bigger bed. At least there's one at my place," Tommy added, glancing over at Buck. Eddie flinched a little but otherwise didn't respond, just taking tiny bites of his soup. He gave up less than three minutes later, not even finishing the whole bowl.

"Not much of an appetite."

"That's okay - you can eat some more later." Buck flashed him a smile and put a hand on his forehead again to check for fever. He ignored Eddie glaring at him.

The door opened after a few insistent knocks and then Chris stepped in. "I'm hungry. Can we order something?"

"Of course, kiddo. Let's go." Buck grabbed the soup, jumped up, ruffled Chris' hair on the way out of the door, and then went to go look for menus.

"This is nice," Eddie finally offered after yet another round of coughing.

"Sharing a bed?" a curious Tommy asked.

He nodded. "Yeah."

Chris, Tommy, and Buck fought over what to eat for about fifteen minutes before finally agreeing on something and ordering, then waited another half hour for it to be delivered. They devoured their food in Eddie's bedroom so he wouldn't be lonely. He watched them all eat, eyeing the food and wishing he had an appetite.

They cleaned up and then Chris headed back to his bedroom to continue playing video games. Tommy, Buck, and Eddie were once again left alone. An awkward silence filled the room. "You need us to go so you can nap?" Buck finally asked.

"Nah, stay here." Eddie didn't want them going anywhere, not if he could help it. His eyes started to close and he fell asleep within minutes. Unfortunately, he woke up again twenty minutes later. "Fuck that. I hate this."

Tommy sighed. "Fuck it. Evan, let's just be honest with the man." Buck's eyes widened. "Right now?"

"Right now."

"Be honest about what?" questioned a wary and slightly terrified Eddie.

Tommy blew out a breath. "We're head over heels in love with you - both of us. And we think you feel the same way."

Eddie gaped at them both. "What?"

"You heard him - I love you. He loves you. We both want to be with you," Buck gently told him.

Eddie teared up, which he blamed on the pneumonia (hopefully they'd buy it). "Head over heels in love with you both too."

Buck and Tommy beamed at him. "We're going to risk getting sick and kiss you," a grinning Buck warned. He gave Eddie a quick peck and pulled back, allowing Tommy to have his turn.

Eddie groaned. "That's about all the energy I have for today - need yet another nap - but I'm looking forward to what's next once I'm back up on my feet."

"So are we, baby," a tearful Buck promised.

The door opened a bit. "Sorry! But yes, fucking finally!" Chris whispered, sending Tommy and Buck into a fit of laughter.

They'd wait for Eddie to get over the pneumonia and then figure out their next steps from there. All three of them were definitely looking forward to exploring their relationship.
