Ais was nervous, no she needed a bigger word than that. She was in the Hearth Manor in the same room with Bell's Mother. Who happens to be Alfia, Silence of Hera Familia.

When it was announced that Zard and Aflia were alive and had returned. The entire city was in a total shock and who would have ever guessed that the Rabbit foot, Record Holder, and Ox slayer Bell Cranel, her boyfriend would be a relative of Alfia and a child of the two most powerful familias.

Every God and mortals were amazed that Silence and Predator had survived against the dragon. The Gods were absolutely jealous of Hestia. The latter herself was gobsmacked at her first child's parentage.

Many adventurers crowded Alfia and Zard for questions about the Black dragon. But they ended up getting blown away by Alfia's signature spell Satanas Verion.

The Hestia Family were utterly shocked at the news about their captain being the son of two powerful familias. Loki and her veterans adventurers had the same reaction that the boy had such origins. A bewildered Eina Tulle was being praised by her coworkers for having "The Grandson of Zeus and Hera" as her client much to her embarrassment.

Bete felt that he had to pick up his jaw from the 59th floor when he heard it. The werewolf wished that he could bite his own tail just to see if this was a dream.

Tiona began praising Bell as a living descendant of heroes while her sister was surprised as well. Lefiya slapped herself multiple times when she heard it and when she finally stop she began to wonder if she could possibly stand a chance against him as a rival.

The rest of Loki Familia were shocked and slightly jealous of the boy. Freya Familia began to hate him even more as they all see him as a threat in their place of being the strongest Familia. Ottar and Freya on the other hand had different reactions.

The Boaz began to respect him even more as he would train harder than before or maybe even facing him in friendly match. Freya's obsessive love increased even further as she would try to get Bell into her Familia and brag to Hera.

Ais was now sitting on the couch and sweating at sight of the Level 7 Aflia who is simply drinking tea.

'Ok Ais,' She thought as Mini-Ais began walking on circles while trying to stay calm. 'All I know is that she hates noises so if I keep quiet long enough maybe I could get her aprov-'

Her thoughts when Alfia spoke. "Bell has told me all about you."

"H-he did?" She stuttered.

"Yes, He was quite fond of you too," She answered and looked at her in the eye. "I am grateful that you saved him from the Minotaur even though your familia was the one who caused the incident and that you would train from time to time."

Ais shooked her head, but had a spark of hope.

"But, I fail to see what he sees in you 'Girl from the Dungeon' and I need to know if your good enough for my son," She said. "Also, I know for a fact that you spent your entire childhood training in the dungeon. That is something I wouldn't call for makings of a wife or even for a lover."

That spark was extinguished and it has been a very long time since someone called her that. She became shocked that Alfia knew about her past.

"How did you-"

Alfia caught her off in a sharply tone. "Hermes has been quite informative when I came here and when l found about you. He willingly told me somethings that I think Bell should consider picking a suitable lover."

Ais wanted to protest, but that would put her in a worse situation and she automatically lose Bell. She should have expected it since Riveria told her that Alfia would most likely look into her qualities not skills, magic, or physical capabilities. She remained skeptical when she said that Hermes "willingly" told her about it.

Perhaps she should have spent her childhood in school and training or maybe have a balanced schedule.

"I'm sure your aware of his fast growth?"

Ais nodded.

Alfia raised an eyebrow. "Was it the only reason why you trained him in the first place? To learn how fast he grew?"

Knowing that lying would be futile, she decided to be honest on the get-go.

"Yes," She admitted. "But that changed."

"How so?" She raised an eyebrow not expecting to her to honesty.

Ais continued. "He made me realize something so I changed my ways... everytime I'm with him, he always warms my heart and I loved him for it," She tapped her index fingers together. "And he kinda looks like a rabbit."

"What are you doing!"? Mini-Ais faced-palmed and shouted. "You do realized that you made her think that you were treating him as a pet instead of a lover!?"

Ais panicked internally as she slipped that rabbit part out. But Alfia gave a slight chuckle.

"Yes, he does look like a rabbit," She rubbed her forehead recalling the times when the girls from the village would dot on the poor young boy much to her charging even when Zeus and Zald stood the the side watching in amusement. "He does takes after his actual mother."

Ais became surprised. "His actual mother?"

"He is the son of my sister, Meteria, She was Hera's favorite child because of her kind and warm personality," She revealed. "She looks exactly like him except for the eyes."

'So he mostly takes after his mother.' She thought.

Like what Ais said she too felt the same way when she was with Bell. She asked Alfia.

"Did she ever turned out to be powerful as you."

"No," She answered bitterly. "Me and my sister had an incurable illness ever since we were born. But in Meteria's case, the illness had weakened her to the point that she can't leave her bedroom. Sadly, she died after giving birth to Bell after our Familias were defeated by the One eyed black dragon."

Ais felt bad about asking it.

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that," Ais became saddened and pitied Bell that he never get to know his real mother and began to see that they are very similar when it comes to losing a family.

"No need to apologize," She assured her. "The fault is not yours and if she were a alive, she would be eager to meet you."

Ais spoke about Meteria. "Can you tell me more about her?"

Alfia had a small smile. "As I said before, my sister is very kind to everyone and they loved her for it. That is why she is Hera's favorite and she could give you her approval when she hears that you saved him from that Minotaur and also she is quite possessive of Food. One time, when she found out I ate one of her sweets, Meteria is very scary when she's angry. She would resign herself to death and what's shocking about it is she even made Hera fall to her knees."

Alfia had a shudder at the memory. Ais on the other hand, was shocked. In Loki's words, Hera was a "Crazy, Psychopathic, and extremely Hysterical goddess" would kneel to a sickly woman her possibly future late mother-in-law. Loki and any Gods would refuse to believe her.

"But let me remind you Sword Princess, I am not like my sister or my nephew. So in other words you won't earn my approval just because you saved him no matter how strong you are. What I am looking for is to know is that if you are a capable and responsible woman for him."

Ais sighed and knew that getting her approval wouldn't be easy. Mini Ais pumped her fist in determination to earn her approval. But then again, the incurable illness began to bother her.

"Wait if you and Meteria had that kind of sickness," Ais said worriedly about Bell and had an urging to get out of the room and take him to Airmid to check on to his condition. "Then does that mean Bell would inherit such a thing?"

Silence noticed how concerned Ais became and thought.

'Maybe, I was a bit too harsh on her when we first spoke.'

"From I noticed when he was just a child," Aflia stroke her chin. "He hasn't shown any signs or symptoms about our illness yet and I just hope it he wouldn't have it."

Ais began to fear for Bell's life. She would have to keep an eye on him in their free time.

"There has to be another way to solve it." Ais said worriedly.

"Hera and I tried everything, We went to Mimir Familia in hopes that we finally understand what makes my sickness incurable." She began. "With Mimir's help we discovered that my illness was some sort of genetical defect that developed in our bodies from the moment when me and Meteria were born. Which would explain why all medications and healing spells were ineffective. So Mimir gave me this."

She showed a silver bracelet.

Alfia continued. "It only slows down the effects of my illness."

Ais felt sorry for her unfortunate fate. "But that's not the only thing keeping you alive?"

"Bell," She said. "I promised to myself to Meteria that I would watch over him as if he was my own son. But if didn't steal my sister's talent, Meteria would still be alive."

The sword princess was happy for Bell. She noticed a small tear flowed from her eye. "I'm sure she's glad you get to live a longer life and Bell wouldn't be alone."

Alfia had lighten up at her words. "Thank you."

Ais asked her. "Will you be back to being an adventurer along with Zard?"

She answered as she glanced at her tea. "We are only focusing all my time and power on keep Bell safe and teaching him to be stronger. I guess you could say that Me and Zard are only semi retired and perhaps your not as bad as I originally thought."

Ais was happy she is getting somewhere and she became curious about Bell's father.

"And his father?" She asked. "He's a member of Zeus Familia right?"

Alfia had a face of disgust and anger. "Yes and he's a cowardly supporter as well as a pervert like Zeus, Zard said that he would be the first to run at the sight of danger. Infact he impregnated my sister without any of us knowing!"

Ais felt a chill from her spine and decided not to dwell in. But she had to give props to Bell's late father for having the balls to do it. She could also tell if he would rather be killed by the Black Dragon then face Alfia or Hera's wrath.

"I'm sorry for scaring you," She went back to her calm demeanor. "Just thinking about that bastard really pisses me of. You know he has the same eyes as Bell."

"Really?" Ais asked.

"Yes," She answered. "Me and Hera would love to gauge them out and it's bad enough that Zeus tried him to teach him his way of being a pervert like his father. But not before me, Hera and Zald came to Bell's life and began training him what it means to be an adventurer."

"Zald's probably drinking with Gareth." Aflia muttered which made Ais remember that Zald, Predator of Zeus Familia once had the same position as Gareth before their defeat and that they were once drinking buddies or in their words drinking warriors.

The blonde shuddered at the fear Bell had to endure for having the same eyes with person who impregnated his mom.

'They must really hate him.'

"Anyway I think it is my turn to ask a question." Alfia said.

Ais had a determined look in her eyes. Alfia studied her expression.

'She's determined,' She thought. 'I'll give her that."

"Have you noticed that any members of Freya Familia making a move on my nephew?"

This caught her off guard, Knowing she must have her reasons she answered her.

"Well, there is this one time I fought Allen Fromel and the Gulliver Brothers were there," She recalled. "Me and my party ran into Ottar just moments before Bell fought the Minotaur and reached level 2. There is also that time when I saw Freya caressing his cheek back in Apollo's banquet and I also heard that she destroyed Ishtar Familia when Bell was in the HQ."

"Then, what Hermes said is true." Alfia sighed.

"What?"

Aflia spoke to the confused Ais. "Are you aware of Freya ability to look into other people's souls?"

"No... I never asked Loki because she probably knew Freya better than any of us," Ais began to connect the dots. "Is she after Bell?"

"I'm afraid so," The silver haired woman shook her head. "From what Hera mentioned something that Freya has an unending appetite for talented individuals like me and Bell. She also has an ability to look the souls of mortals and see their color. It is something Hera enjoys of making fun of her and I have no doubt that she would go after Bell because of his fast growth and what ever color of his soul was, definitely had her sights on him."

Ais remembered the meeting between Loki and Freya during the Monsterphalia event and thought.

'So she was talking about Bell?'

Athough she would pity the Goddess of Beauty for the bullying caused by Hera. But she did not approve for all the difficulty her boyfriend had to endure. She began to understand that The Silverback from Monsterphalia and the Sword wielding Minotaur were trials on Bell's progress given by Freya.

Ever since they became a couple, she felt that Freya was watching her in cold and threatening way. Now, she knows why and she is not going to give up her precious rabbit. Even, if it would get her killed!

"I won't let her take him!" She growled. "I'll take him far away from her as soon so possible so that she won't charm him!"

Alfia was astounded at her declaration. She responded to her by saying.

"I appreciate your concern for Bell's safety," She continued. "Although, I will tell that he does have a skill that prevents him from being charmed by any Goddesses of Beauty or anyone who shared a similar ability."

Ais was relieved that Bell had such a skill. She wondered how Bell would got it. Probably from his training with Zald and Aflia.

"I noticed that your parents aren't usually around."

Ais grew tensed.

She began. "Who were your parents and where are they?"

Ais knew that Alfia if she were to earn her approval she needed to tell her who she really is.

"I never told anyone who my parents were," Ais finally answered which Alfia raised an eyebrow. "But, Bell, Loki, Finn Gareth, Riveria and Ouranos figured out who they are."

"Why would she keep her parents a from anyone but Bell and the others," She thought. "They must have a reason and Bell didn't tell me?"

"I am the daughter of Albert Waldstein and the Great Wind Spirit Aria."

This shocked Alfia at the reveal. She knew that Ais mysteriously came from the dungeon and also for a fact that spirits can't produced children. Unless there is more to the Sword Champion's story than it seems. Alfia finally understood what is going on.

"You want to kill the dragon?" She asked. " For revenge?"

"My father was killed and my mother was taken from me," Ais admitted. "All my life, I wanted to become stronger to save my mother. No matter the cost, I never even think about anything except my Familia and all I could think is my goal. When Bell came into my life, I only saw him as a means to teach me how be stronger and the more interacted with him and closer we became. I realized that my mother didn't want to be saved by obsessiveness. But rather be saved with love, something I consider myself unworthy. But Bell changed that, HE changed me and I loved him for it because he is my hero."

Alfia was impressed by her response. Perhaps expected from Bell since he has knack to bring the best of everyone. Just like her sister. Then again a thought crossed her mind.

'A daughter of the Legendary Albert and Aria,' She thought. 'Perhaps the world needs one more hero. Surely she could surpass her parents just like my nephew would surpass our familias. But with her and my nephew? A dangerous and powerful couple indeed.'

"I must say, maybe you are good enough for Bell." Aflia spoke in an impressed tone.

Ais felt the weight of the world lifted off her shoulders. Mini-Ais jumping around in celebration while hugging stuffed rabbit.

"But."

Ais frozed and Mini-Ais began pulling her

hair.

'WHAT NOW!??'

"Promise me that you'll keep him safe even when I am gone," Alfia looked into her eyes. "Promise that you will protect him from Freya and any God would seek to claim him even when the time comes."

Ais immediately understood, but was quite unsure of the last part. But this is her rabbit boyfriend they are taking about. So there is no turning back now.

"I promise, I will keep him safe." She declared.

"You better," She said firmly. "But with that out of the way... Let us see if your not all talk future niece."

Ais gulped and knew that her chances of winning absolutely zero. But at least she gave her an impression and earned her approval. All she had to do is survive and maybe she could leave an impression to Alfia PHYSICALLY.
